"Cas! Truth or dare?" Sam asks me, humor shining in his greenish eyes.
"Er, truth." I respond, dreading what he might ask.
"Okaay! Do you have your eyes on any of the ladies here?"
I blush. Of course not. There's only one person here I have feelings for, and it definitely isn't a girl. "Um, no."
"Come on, no one?" Daphne asks. There's clearly hope in her voice, and I feel bad, because I accidentally led her on last year, and then shot her down at graduation.
"No, I don't have a crush on any girl here." I say, careful with my wording, because I don't like to lie.
Charlie clearly picks up on that, and smiles at me mischievously. I told her about my crush on Dean awhile ago, I just pray she won't say anything about it.
Apparently, god is on vacation, because Charlie speaks up, "Dean! Truth or dare!"
"Um, it's not your turn, Charlie." Anna speaks up. I silently thank my sister.
"No, go ahead, Charlie. I want to see what this is about." Michael argues. As the top dog of the school, my brother gets final say in almost everything. I have no choice but to watch as Charlie probably ruins my life.
"Okay." Dean says, for some reason looking nervous. "Dare." He says, glancing at me.
"Ooh, you think you can get out of this? Nope! I dare you to tell me if you have your eyes on anybody here."
Dean looks at me again. "Um, no." He says, and my heart drops a little. I mentally scold myself for allowing hope anyway, and I wonder what Charlie's point is here. To rub it in that my crush of five years is completely straight and has no interest in me?
"Nah ah ah, I didn't say any girl, I said any person. And I know for a fact, because you told me, that you have feelings for someone in this room!"
"Wait, are you implying that Dean has a crush on a guy!?" Andrea asks.
"Seriously Charlie? Are you trying to out me right now?" Dean looks at Charlie incredulously. So he isn't straight. I feel a little bit of hope coming, but I squash it down. There's no way that Dean could have a crush on me.
"Please. Everybody with half a brain knows that you're not straight! And I also happen to know that the guy you like has had a crush on you for five years!"
Five years? That's how long I told Charlie I've had a crush on Dean for. Could it just be a coincidence? Dean hesitates.
"Fine! Don't believe me?" Charlie turns to me. "Cas! Do you have feelings for Dean?"
"Oh, uh, um, yeah, I-I do."
Dean looks up at me, surprise in his green eyes. "Really?"
"Of course." I grunt with surprise as Dean lunges forward and catches my lips on his. I smile against the kiss.
"You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do that." Dean tells me when we break apart.
"Me too." I whisper.
"Well, maybe the rest of us should continue the game elsewhere." I barely hear Charlie as she escorts everybody out of the room. I'm completely focused on the incredible person in front of me, the boy I've loved forever, the one who just kissed me in front of ten people.
As soon as everybody's gone, with Charlie yelling behind her, "See ya later, lovebirds!", I lean forward again, gently pressing my lips against Dean's.
