Chapter 1 Meeting the Fairies

Fairies. A peaceful race like Hobbits but know how to fight when the time comes.. They are the same size as Hobbits but wear shoes. They were immortal but could die from a mortal injury. There are a few remain because the orcs have almost whipped them out of existance for their powers. Rumors were flying that a fairy instead of having white wings has purple meaning Valar chose her to right the wrong of fate or what orcs consider more powereful then the others of her race. This is Celeste's story and how she became a member and family to Thorin Oakenshield's family

Celeste's POV. I stood in the woods with my bow and arrow and shooting arrows at the target. I was skilled at bow and arrow and sword. My long red hair was pulled into a braid down my back. I was the eldest of my four siblrings and the only one that wanted to learn how to fight. Of all my people I was the only one with purple wings. My arrow hit the bulleye. I walk over and grab my five arrows and put them in my quiver.

"CELESTE!" Lily, my baby sister yelled. I turned and looked at her.

"What is it?" I ask.

"The dwarves from Erid Luin are here to talk of trade deals. Father sent me to fetch you." Lily said. I sighed as I put my bow on my quiver. I flew off with my sister heading home. We arrived and land in front of our family home. I stepped in first hanging my weapons by the door and went to the throne room where my father was. I was next in line to take the throne if my father died. Four dwarves stood in front of my father. My three brothers stood. Lily and I walked up to the throne and I stood at my fathers left side with Lily next to me while our brothers stood to my father's right. I studied the dwarves. The one in the middle stood tall and held like he was the King. I had a feeling he was the legendary Thorin Oakenshield that had come to talk to my father. They were already discussing trade agreements. I blocked out the talk as I studied the dwarves. The blonde had two mustashes and the other one on the blonde's side had a mischief look on his face. Both looked like troublemakers and possibly related. One dwarf that caught my eye was the bald dwarf with tatoos all over his body. He had a stern look on his face and his face. He was handsome. I shook my head.

"What?" Lily asked in a whisper.

"Nothing." I whisper as I play with my hands. Lily raised an eyebrow at me like she didn't believe. Me and Lily were close since we were little and learning to fly. I was not close with my brother who was second in line for the throne.

"Let me introduce my children now that things are settled. My daughters Celeste and Lily. And my boys Alvin and Quinn." My father said.

"Why does one of your daughters have purple wings?" The brown haired dwarf asked.

"Kili. Don't be rude." Thorin growled.

"Its fine, Master Dwarf. We aren't quite sure. Some think its because I could become powerful or our maker chose me to right the wrong of fate." I said. The dwarves nod.

"I am Thorin, Princesses and Princes. This is my heir Fili and his brother Kili and my trusted guard Dwalin." Thorin introduced all of his members. Dwalin's eyes land on me as I looked at him and I looked away.

"Your invited to dinner tonight. If you would like?" My father said.

"We would be honored, sir." Thorin said. I stepped away and head to my room to get ready for the night and read some of my books. I was studying dwarven history that I could get my hands on.

"You are offly quiet sister." A voice said. I turn and see Alvin standing there.

"Just happy this trade deal is going through." I said, turning to walk away to avoid an arguement. Alvin grabbed my arm. He was next in line after me and he was trying to get me to just give it to him. He was cruel and always treated me like I was a weakling ever since I was little one.

"You didn't say a word during that meeting. Not a good sign as a leader." Alvin said.

"Just studying the dwarves and knowing where they stand. Now let me go." I said.

"I think your weak." Alvin said.

"I think the lass told you to let her go." A gruff voice said. I look and see Dwalin standing there with his arms crossed.

"It's none of your concern dwarf." Alvin sneered.

"I don't know how your race is, lad. But us dwarves don't disrespect our relatives or our women." Dwalin growled. I pulled away from Alvin.

"And threatening me, Alvin is not a true sign of a leader. That's why father chose me." I said. Alvin sneered and walked away.

"I appreciate you coming to my rescue Master Dwarf, but it was not necessary." I said, turning towards Dwalin.

"You looked like you needed help, lass. And just Dwalin." Dwalin said. I smiled.

"Dwalin." Thorin called.

"Go. I have to get ready." I said. I watched him go. I could feel a pull to him. I shook it off and went to get ready.

That night. I came in in a blue dress that came up to my ankles. I flew towards the table and landed and walked to sit next to Lily beside my father. The dwarves sat on the other side of father as my brothers sat by Lily. Quinn was next to Lily.

"Alvin doesn't look happy." Lily whispered.

"He never is." I whisper back as father stood to talk to our people.

"We agreed on a trade agreement with the dwarves of Erid Luin. Let's toast and have a fine feast." Father said. Cheers rang out as food was brought and we all started eating. Thorin made civil talk with my father as Fili and Kili talked. Dwalin stayed silent. Lily and I whisper and I told her what happened.

"That was nice of that dwarf. He is good looking." Lily said.

"Lily." I said. She giggled. I rolled my eyes as music played. I pull her out to the dance floor and we joined the dancers.

Dwalin's POV. I watched the red head and her sister dance. Celeste was laughing and enjoying herself. Thorin leaned over.

"You seem to have an eye on the girl." Thorin said. I grunt.

"Its nothing." Dwalin said as the girls danced and I caught Celeste's eyes. They were a deep emerald green. She gave me a smile as she laughed.

Celeste POV. The party ended and I helped clean up.

"When will you be leaving?" Father asked Thorin.

"Tomorrow. We need to go home to finish some stuff up with what we agreed on." Thorin said. I smiled at the dwarves and left to go to bed.

AN: New story. Don't worry. I will continue the others. This story has been on my mind for a long time and think Dwalin deserves to be happy. Till next time. Its gonna get bad in the next chapter just a warning
