The next Afternoon almost evening. The dwarves were gearing up to leave. I flew towards them.
"Lord Thorin." I said, landing in front of him.
"Lass. Call me Thorin." Thorin smiled.
"I've been studying dwarves for a little while. I would love come one time and learn more if that would be possible." I said. Thorin smiled.
"That we can arrange. I will talk with your father when I come back." Thorin said. I grin.
"Have safe travels." I said. Dwalin took one last look at me. I watch them leave. I sigh softly and flew back to my people. Quinn and Alvin were arguing so I ignored them and land next to Lily.
"So did you ask?" Lily asked, knowing my intentions.
"Yes and Thorin is gonna talk to father when they come back." I said. Lily grinned as we ignored our two brothers. The night fell on fast as we had our fire raging as we enjoyed the warmweather. Guards came running.
"Orcs!" Guards yelled. I heard the howls of wargs. I stood up as I put down my book. I grabbed Lily as orcs came into the camp.
"Go. Get help." I said as I pulled out my sword as orcs started killing people as the women and children tried to escape. The ones without weapons were being killed.
"But." Lily said.
"Lily please. I know how to fight. you don't. Go." I said, slashing an orc that came running at us. Lily took off and I saw an orc arch an arrow aimed at her. "NO!" I try to take him down but he shot the arrow hitting Lily as she flew off. It hit her as I took down the orc. She continued flying, but didn't know how long she would last. A white orc on a white warg came into view. I gasp. He looked at the slaughter as I killed orcs.
"Kill everyone." The orc said. He points towards me. "Bring that one to me." Orcs swarmed me.
Dwalin's POV. We sat camped not far from Ered Luin. I cleaned my axe. Thorin sat next to me.
"You seem to eye that princess a lot during our visit." Thorin said.
"It's nothing. She is a pretty lass." Dwalin said. Thorin raised an eyebrow
"Someone's coming!" Fili yelled. We stood and a fairy crashed into the ground. We ran over. We reconized her.
"Lily." Thorin said. A orc arrow was sticking out of her chest.
"They came. The orcs they came and are slaughtering my people. They are after Celeste." Lily said, coughing up blood.
"Thorin. We can't let them kill them." Fili said.
"Rest, lass. We will go after them." Thorin said as I went and grabbed my axes.
"Thank you." Lily breathed. She died after she spoke.
"Let's go." Thorin ordered. We got on our ponies and rode fast for the fairy villiage. Smoke filled out noses. We arrived to find the orcs gone but all the fairies were near slaughtered. Thorin got off his pony and we followed. Thorin ran over to where the king layed.
"They came out of no where. We had no time." The King coughed.
"Easy. Yer going to be fine." I said.
"They took Celeste. They left with her." The King said.
"Fili. Kili. Go see if you can find her." Thorin ordered. Fili and Kili took off. The King grabbed Thorin.
"Take care of her if she survived. They want her wings. Her powers come from herself. They don't understand that." The King said.
"I swear I will protect her and take her in." Thorin said. The King died.
"THORIN! DWALIN!" Fili yelled.
"WE FOUND HER! Hurry." Kili yelled. We ran in their direction. Fili and KIli were knelt next to a body. "She's alive, but..." I looked at her and saw her wings were ripped off her and she was bleeding.
"It's a miracle she's alive. We need to get her back to Ered Luin so Oin can help her." Thorin said. I gingerly scooped her in my arms. We got our ponies and rode fast for Erid Luin.
