We were freed from out sacks. I sighed as I went and grabbed my bow as dwarves got in their clothes. I put it on my quiver as I see Gandalf and Thorin talk.
"Ye alright lass?" Dwalin asked, coming over.
"I'm alright." I said, looking at him.
"You were smart facing the trolls." Dwalin said.
"If you dwarves would of listened. They told us their weakness and was just buying time for the sun." I said. Dwalin sighed knowing I was right.
"Let's go. There is a Troll hoard nearby." Thorin called. We all went looking and found a cave nearby. It was full of treaure.
"Oh, what's the stench?!" Nori said.
"It's a troll hoard. Be careful what you touch." Gandalf said. Others stayed back but wanted to see what other stuff they had. I cough at the smell. I walked to a table.
"Seems a shame just to leave it lyin' around. Anyone could take it." Bofur said.
"Agreed. Nori. Get a shovel." Gloin said. I found daggers. I pick them up and pull one out.
"Fairy weapons." I whisper as Gandalf and Thorin found the elvish blade. Dwalin was standing next to me.
"Blades of your people?" Dwalin asked.
"Yes. Four of them." I said, gingerly picking them up. I was gonna take them with. I turned and saw the dwarves bury a chest in the ground. Dwalin looks on in disgust.
"we're makin' a long term deposit." Gloin said. Dwalin rolled his eyes. I head for the exit with Dwalin behind me. I grab my bag and put my new daggers in them.
"Least ye found something." Dwalin said.
"Something told me to go in. I'm glad I did." I said. Dwalin stood close. I looked up at him and saw him watching me. I felt a pull to him, but wasn't sure what it was. I knew I was slowly falling for him, but wasn't sure what it was.
"Something's coming!" Thorin shouted. Dwalin grabbed my hand as I pulled out my sword as I threw my bag over my shoulder.
"Stay together! Hurry now. Arm yourselves." Gandalf yelled. We ran into the woods. Dwalin staying close to me. We came to a stop as a rabbit drawn sled came up in front of us. Dwalin pushed me behind him as I looked at a man that was looked to be a wizard.
"Thieve! Fire! Murder!" The wizard said.
"Radagast! Radagast the Brown." Gandalf said, pushing over to his fellow wizard. "Ah. What on earth are you doing here?" Gandalf asked.
"I was looking for you, Gandalf. Something's wrong. Something's terribly wrong." Radagast said.
"Yes?" Gandalf said. I come to Dwalin's side and felt him grab my arm gently to stop me from going further, still not trusting the wizard. I shot him a glare.
"Oh, just give me a minute. Uh, oh, I had a thought, and now I've lost it. It was, it was right there on the top of my tongue." Radagast said, curling up his tongue. "Oh, its not a thought at all. Its a silly old..." Gandalf pulls out a stick incect from his mouth. "Stick insect!" The dwarves shared looks as the wizards left to go talk in private. I sat on the ground.
"What you find in the troll hoard?" Thorin asked coming over. I pulled out the daggers.
"I found some daggers of my kin." I said. Thorin smiled.
"That's good. You doing well with this journey?" Thorin asked as I found places to put the daggers if I needed them.
"I am." I said. A howl was heard and I shot to my feet. I reconized the howl. Wargs.
"Was that wolf? Are there... Are there wolves out there?" Bilbo asked. Bofur steps in front of Bilbo.
"Wolves. No, that is not a wolf." Bofur said. A warg appers and leaps in the midst of the Company, knocking down Gloin. Thorin strikes it and kills it using his new sword. Another warg attacks from behind Thorin. I pull an arrow and shoot it bringing it down and Dwalin finishes it off with his axe. Radagast and Gandalf came back and Gandalf looked worried.
"Warg Scouts! Which means an Orc pack is not far behind." Thorin said.
"Orc pack?" Bilbo said.
"Who did you tell about your quest, beyond your kin?" Gandalf said.
"No one." Thorin said.
"Who did you tell?" Gandalf asked.
"No one, I swear. What in Durin's name is going on?" Thorin asked.
"You are being hunted." Gandalf said. Dwalin came to my side and put a hand on my shoulder.
"We have to get out of here." Dwalin said.
"We can't. We have no ponies, they bolted." Ori called.
"Oh Mahal. Help us all." I whisper. Dwalin squeezed my shoulder gently.
"I'll draw them off." Radagast said.
"These are Gundabad Wargs, they will outrun you." Gandalf said.
"These are Rhosgobel Rabbits. I'd like to see them try." Radagast said. Gandalf nodded as the warg scouts got close and we got out and near a stone.
"Stay close to me." Dwalin said. I nodded. Radagast bursts out of the woods with wargs hot on his tail.
"Come and get me! Ha ha!" Radagast said.
"Come on." Gandalf said. We run across the rocky plain. I kept close to Dwalin with Fili next to me. We run across a plain and come to a stop when we see the wargs not too far away. We hide behind rock.
"Stay together." Gandalf said.
"Move!" Thorin yelled. We continue to run. I nearly trip and Dwalin grabs my hand and pulls me upright.
"Come on lass. We aren't gonna loose ye." Dwalin said as we run behind a rock. Ori starts to run out, but Thorin brings him back.
"Ori, no." Thorin said.
"Come on! Quick." Gandalf said. Dwalin pulls me into a run. We run across the plain. We take cover behind an outcropping of rock. I heard claws on the rock above us as I grab my bow. Kili had his ready as we looked at Thorin. Thorin nodded at us. I jump out and shot the warg. Kili sends another shot hitting the warg in the head and the warg fell. Dwalin pulled me back to the rock. An orc jumps up and runs at us. Bifur, Gloin, and Dwalin attack them and kill them. The roars and screams were loud.
"They are making to much noise. They are gonna draw the others to us." I said. Thorin groaned. Ward scouts howl.
"Move, Run!" Gandalf yelled. I ran towards Dwalin and we ran through a grassy plain. I kept my bow in my hand. Wargs begin to surround us.
"There they are!" Gloin said. I was starting to wonder where Gandalf was taking us. Dwalin and Fili stayed close to me.
"This way! Quickly!" Gandalf said. We run till we come into a clearing. Wargs and orcs were coming from all sides.
"There's more coming!" Kili yelled.
"Kili! Celeste! Shoot them!" Thorin yelled. Dwalin let my arm go and pulled both his axes off as I shot at wargs, hitting my mark everytime.
"We're surrounded." Fili called. I hit an orc and it fell to the ground.
"Where is Gandalf?!" Kili asked. I looked and saw Gandalf was missing. Dwalin growled.
"He has abandoned us!" Dwalin yelled. The dwarves father close. The wargs and orcs approach slowly. The leader was eying me. I hit a warg that was coming at the dwarves.
"Hold your ground!" Thorin yelled.
"This way you fools." Gandalf yelled. Dwalin grabbed me as I shot one last arrow and we ran towards the rock. Dwalin pushed me down and I landed on my feet. I looked up as Dwalin slid down and landed next to me.
"Good shooting lass." Dwalin said. Dwarves joined us.
"Kili! Run!" Thorin yelled. Kili and Fili slid down and Thorin was right behind them. A horn blew and fighting came from above. We listen as orcs were killed. An orc slid down and Dwalin pulled me out of the way. The orc was dead. Thorin pulls an arrow from the orc.
"Elves!" Thorin said, tossing the arrow down. Dwalin leaves me and finds a pathway.
"I cannot see where the pathway leads. Do we follow it or no?" Dwalin asked.
"Follow it, of course." Bofur said. We follow the path. We follow the path till we come out to an open area. I nearly drop my bow at the sight of the Valley. The dwarves did not look happy.
"The Valley of Imraldis. In the Common Tongue, it's known by another name." Gandalf said.
"Rivendell." I whisper with a huge smile on my face. I been wanting to see the home of the elves and was finally getting my wish.
AN: And we are now in Rivendell. Till next time
