It was a calm day in Konoha for one Sakura Haruno.

Too calm.

It was the calm before the storm, the calm right before Might Guy challenging and Kakashi Hatake accepting some utterly ridiculous and reckless challenge, the calm the Sakura knew, just knew, that would be very soon broken.

Sakura sighed.

She had way too much experience dealing with these things.

On the other side of the village, in one of the many training grounds, two figures stood, tall and determined.

One had pale porcelain skin, contrasting strikingly with his ebony eyes and hair. As if a shadow had physically manifested. They called him Sasuke Uchiha.

The other, a complete opposite, had eyes as blue as the sky and hair as yellow as the sun itself. Three whisker marks on each cheek, it was as if the sun had physically manifested. They called him Naruto Uzumaki.

They both took a deep breath.

And then:

"SASUKE!!"

"NARUTO!!"

"SASUKE!!"

"NARUTO!!"

"SAUCE-GAY!!"

"KNAW-RUDE-TOES!!"

Sakura rubbed her temples, feeling a headache coming on.

Again? She thought, as she heard twin shouts of outrage coming from the other side of the village.

She sighed.

Sakura had no idea how she was still sane.
