But before the veggies could move any further, they heard some very strange noises.
"YE! YE-YE-YE! YE!"
"Okay, what's so funny?" Bob asked.
"That wasn't me!" Annie replied.
"Me neither!" Laura said.
"Uh...it wasn't me?" Percy asked.
"I don't even remember a joke.." Junior replied.
The kids and Bob turned around to face a clan of starving hyenas!
"RUUUN FOR IIIIT!!" Percy exclaimed.
The Veggies ran and ran, until they were confident that they were safe from any hyenas. The slobbering mongrels searched and searched, but they could not find the Veggies, so they walked away.
"I think we lost em'..." Bob said.
What the veggies failed to realize, is that hiding behind a mass of brownish-tan fur, is a very bad idea.
"Yeah, but what about HER?" Annie asked.
Bob turned, staring into the face of a hungry, well-built lioness.
