It was dark by the time Lucy decided to walk home from the guild. She loved walking along the canal, it was just so peaceful and a nice change to the shouting and fighting at the guild.

"Hey, where you goin' there blondie?" She ignored the guy on the canal boat like usual and carried on walking along the small wall along the edge of the water with a smile on her face.

Wow, Mystogan and Laxus, that is so cool! She thought to herself. I can't believe how many famous wizards are in fairy tail. And I think I'm starting to figure out how everybody's ranked within the guild. She reached her apartment door and grabbed her key from her pocket. Gotta start working my way to the top.

As she opened her door she was greeted with a sight that she most definitely wasn't expecting.

"Welcome home!" Natsu greeted her doing sit ups on her bed, bare chested except for his signature scarf around his neck. Happy next to him lifting a rather heavy dumbbell.

"Sup!"

"Ahh! You guys stink! Why don't you guys work out at your own house!" She yelled. She had no idea why it was always her apartment they broke into.

"Now Lucy, if we wanna work together like a team we gotta train like one." He said revealing the pink dumbbell he had bought for her as happy floated next to him.

"We thought you'd like the pink dumbbell."

"I don't care what colour it is, I'm not lifting weights with you!"

They shrugged at this and moved to an empty space and started doing press ups together. "We gotta kick it up a notch if we wanna beat Laxus and Erza."

"Aye sir!"

"I just want a little peace and quiet. Now get out!" Lucy yelled.

They ignored her and just sped up their press ups. "Don't worry we'll train quietly Lucy." He whispered.

"Why does this kind of stuff always happen to me."

"I've made a decision." Natsu raised his head to look at her. "Our team is ready for the big time, S-class"

Happy reached into his bag and pulled out a job request. On it was a big red 'S' marking it as an S-class request. "Yeah, check it out!" He smiled, proud of his accomplishment of retrieving the request without being noticed.

"How did you get that. I thought we weren't allowed to go onto the second floor!"

"Well, I just climbed the stairs and took it."

"You little cat burglar!" Lucy scalded him as Natsu put his vest back on.

"Since this is our first S-class quest, we decided to go with the smallest reward we found on the board. But seven million is still alot of jewel. He said barely able to contain his excitement thinking about the reward.

"We're not ready for it!" Lucy exclaimed. "If the master knew we had this job request he'd be furious."

"Yeah but i think he'll end up being proud of us if we actually pull it off." Natsu smirked, not seeing anything wrong with his plan.

Lucy just sighed at him and walk to her desk to sit down. "You know this may be the dumbest thing you've ever done Natsu. If you wanna rise up the ranks, you should follow the guild rules."

"Jeeze we're never gonna make S-class with that attitude." He grumbled.

"You can handle this on your own. I'm staying right here."

"But the job is saving a tropical island..." Happy piped up trying to convince her, waving the request form in her face.

"Really?" She was surprised at that comment.

"It's the cursed island of Galuna..." Happy and Natsu spoke together in a creepy tone... That comment shattered any ideas Lucy had of lounging on a sunny beach catching a tan.

"No way! Definitely not going now!"

"I'll give you half the fish i catch, Lucy."

"What kind of convincing is that supposed to be?"

"Fine, we're outta here." Natsu slouched.

"Aye."

"That's the best idea you've had all day." Lucy sighed. Then she noticed they were leaving through the window. "Hold on, for crying out loud would you use the door." Turning away from the window she noticed a piece of paper on the floor. "Oh no! They left the job request here. What if everybody thinks I'm the one who stole it. What do I do?" Picking it up off of the floor, she gave it a closer look. "Is this for real? On top of the giant reward you also get a gate key.

She leaned out of the window to shout after Natsu and Happy. "Hey, wait up you guys! I've decided to come along!"

Unbeknown to them, while Mira was collecting empty glasses from the second floor she happened to glance at the request board. Once she realised one of them was missing she ran down the stairs shouting at the Master who was sat on top of the counter at the bar enjoying a cup of coffee.

"Master! I don't know what's happened, but one of the S-class quests is missing!"

A few seconds passed and he took another mouthful of his coffee. When he realised what this meant he spat it out in surprise.
