Hey guys, I hope you enjoy this one-shot. The soulmate "rule" in this one, is that once you look into the eyes of your soulmate, you begin to see color. When they die, you can no longer see color.

Disclaimer: I don't think Rick Riordan even knows about soulmate AU's, which means he probably doesn't write them.

Enjoy!

"If we have each other than we'll both be fine."

Alec Benjamin, If We Have Each Other

...

The stars are bright tonight, but Percy can't conceive of why. The celestial contents of the sky hovers above him, though he doesn't know why. Why tonight?

The stars have never felt this bright. In fact, before, he always saw them as dull. The world seemed colorless (was colorless), sad, and boring. He felt colorless, sad, boring. But then he turned to see her, and everything changed.

Her. He doesn't even know her name. Just that she's standing in front of him, her blonde hair flowing back and forth in the soft wind. Her eyebrows are scrunched tightly together, and she's scratching her head.

There's a reason she's here, with him. There's a reason he's seeing light, color now. There's a reason it isn't all gray. But all in all, Percy's scared of that reason. He doesn't know what will happen when he talks to this girl. All he knows is that they're frozen in time, just for a moment, staring at each other. Assessing the situation, trying to figure out who is going to make the first move.

He looks her up and down. She's wearing a black skirt, a collared shirt, and a matching black blazer. It suits her. In her hands are a stack of papers and a notepad. Maybe she's coming back from a late night class at the college. Maybe she's already working. Maybe she's a high schooler like him. She looks like a high schooler, but one who unlike him, has all their shit together. Perhaps she goes to one of those fancy private schools. It would make sense. She looks rich. But Percy doesn't know yet.

What he does know, is what she sees. A raven haired boy, who looks scared out of his mind. He's not nearly as put together as she is, he probably looks insane. No, scratch that, he knows he looks insane.

She has to be the one to make the first move, because he knows he won't. He knows he'll stay silent, not knowing what to say. Time is moving by too slowly for him, but maybe, just maybe, she'll help him slow it down.

She's his soulmate, after all. And he hasn't believed in the concept for a long time. Most people never meet their soulmates, and spend their whole lives knowing they were with the "wrong" person, knowing that they'd missed their chance for perfection. But his version of perfection is right in front of him. And it seems like the universe was right in picking her for him. At least visually, she's perfect.

He's stared at her long enough to know that. To know that she's absolutely gorgeous, there's not a single flaw on her body. He wants to reach his hand out and touch her, see if her hair is as soft as it looks, know if her skin is as smooth as it appears.

And her eyes, oh, her eyes. They're grey and piercing. They're looking straight into his soul, almost so much that he wants to spill out all of his secrets, right here, right now. But he doesn't, he can't. He's not strong enough to do that yet. Percy doesn't know if he'll ever be.

Who would ever think him, a troublemaking delinquent would find his soulmate in a park of all places. Under the night sky, which makes this entire setting a bit more romantic than Percy would like to admit.

He feels himself take a step closer to her, and she does too. They don't move for another second, and there's complete silence. As far as Percy knows they're the only people in the park.

He takes another step forward, unsure of how to assert himself. He doesn't want to speak- he knows if he speaks, he'll screw everything up. That's what happens whenever he opens his mouth. Teacher's frown, and send him to the office. Security guards shake their heads and lead him away. Students snicker and make fun of him.

Percy likes to think he has a kind soul, at heart, but it seems that his words and actions never come out correctly. He does the right thing, but not in the right way. He says the right thing, but it comes out harsh.

He doesn't think before he speaks, and he doesn't have a profanity filter. But he knows he's not stupid, like some say. He's never been dumb, he just… doesn't have the control he needs. And Percy wants control, he really does. He's always wanted it, and no matter who he tells this to, he always gets the same response. The teachers shake their heads and send him out of the room. The Principal sends him home for the day. His mom looks at him disappointedly and goes to her room. Probably to cry. He's heard her do it many times before, and everytime, it makes him feel horrible about himself.

Maybe that'll change if he talks to her, whoever this girl, his soulmate is. They're supposed to be perfect for each other, so this must be where he has all the proper lines. Maybe he'll be able to flirt in all the right ways, and all the dumb pick up lines will work.

They've never worked for Percy. But they manage to work for every popular guy in his school. They say the first things on their mind, and it works. But it never works with Percy. He's got the looks, as plenty have told him, but not the lines.

So maybe that won't work. Maybe they'll just stand here for eternity, not speaking, just staring. The girl hasn't made any moves to speak either, so maybe she's in the same position as him. That could be why they're soulmates, neither of them can hold a conversation.

But that doesn't sound plausible. Because soulmates are supposed to balance each other out. She should be the ying to his yang, the calm to his restlessness.

Percy can't claim he's an expert on any of this stuff, but he's googled soulmates enough to know the basics. There's thousands of articles about finding your soulmate, what it should feel like, what it does.

All Percy knows is that once their eyes met, he could see the light. He could see the colors, he could see everything so clearly, and it was beautiful.

Before this, he never thought of everything as sincerely beautiful. But now, he's looking at the world, and especially her. And everything is.

"Annabeth." The girl says, jolting him out of his thoughts. "I'm Annabeth." She looks at him expectantly, waiting for him to speak.

He doesn't know what to say, but he also does. He smiles softly at her, and speaks. "Percy," he says. His voice is rough and cracked, nowhere near as smooth as her's, but it's something. "I'm Percy."

Annabeth smiles, and walks closer to him, taking another step, then two. He matches it, until they're standing three feet away from each other. Her skirt is flowing against her legs because of the wind, and her hair is following it. Percy doesn't know why he notices it, but he does. She looks even prettier up close. "You're my soulmate," she says simply, as if it's the easiest thing to say in the world. You're my soulmate.

He really is. "And you're mine," he tells her, and she laughs a bit.

"Obviously," she says to him shly, looking him up and down quickly, before she looks away, her cheeks pink.

He holds out his hand to her, not knowing why. It feels natural. He's never held a girl's hand before, and when she takes it, he realizes what he was missing. Just the simple move feels so intimate. And her hand is soft against his rough one. But she doesn't seem to mind, she smiles again, this soft, sweet smile. "Do you-" Percy stutters a bit, "do you want to talk?"

"Of course," Annabeth says, taking her hand back, and moving it to grasp her other hand. "I'd really like that."

Percy smiles, and they walk to a nearby bench. He sits down first, and she follows him, holding her skirt so it doesn't show her thighs. They're quiet for a moment, but that's not new. Everything has been quiet since he saw her. Which is surprising, because what he's seeing now, all the colors, it's amazing. So amazing he wants to let the entire cosmos know about it.

"So," he says, hoping she'll be able to start the conversation.

She smiles. "So," she repeats, looking up at the sky. "It's so beautiful," it's like she knows what he's thinking. "I never thought it would look like anything compared to this. Ever."

"Neither did I." Percy responds quietly, scanning the horizon, the moon, and the stars. "I guess you never know until you see it."

She looks at him thoughtfully, "that's true." she says, "I didn't think anything at all would change, that it would be a quick adjustment. But now, things I thought I knew, seem just like fairy tales."

He chuckles, "that's one way to describe this."

"So why do you think the universe put us together?" Annabeth asks, twirling her hair around her finger, "out of everyone on this planet, why us?"

Percy shrugs, "I don't know. Maybe we should figure that out." he says. "Out of all the color's you've seen in the last couple of minutes, what's your favorite?"

"The green in your eyes," she says immediately, "I haven't seen anything like it. It's magnetic, enchanting." She stops speaking, and then recomposes herself. "How about you?"

Percy smiles, and looks into her eyes, the first color he saw out of them all. They're grey, but not the boring, dull, colorless gray he saw before. They have energy in them, a blue (which he thinks is one of his favorites), green and hazel tint to them. "I like your eyes too."

"Really?" Annabeth asks him, curious.

He takes her hand, and kisses it. Not in a creepy way, but in a soft manner. He's nervous about it at first, but the smile she gives him makes the nerves worth it. "Really," he says, and looks into her eyes once more.

Over the next couple of days, they get to know each other. The normal stuff, what's your favorite food? Do you play any sports? What do you aspire to be?

He learns a lot about her. He learns she wants to be an architect, so she can design something stable and permanent. She fences for her school, which like he predicted, is prestigious and private. She enjoys eating burgers, but doesn't have any specific favorite food.

And for the first time since forever, he tells someone about himself. The true Percy Jackson. They talk about serious things, random things, funny things, and Percy starts to realize exactly they were put together.

His mother comments that he's looking happier, and that makes him happy. He doesn't tell her he's found his soulmate yet, he's not ready, but it's nice to clearly see the colors of the world. He wonders if she's ever seen color's, or if she's ever found her soulmate. Then again, they could have died.

That's probably the scariest part of this entire thing. Once a soulmate dies, the other stops seeing color. Percy doesn't know what he's more scared about: losing Annabeth, or losing the colors.

But he thinks Annabeth is in first place. He really likes her. More than he's liked a lot of people. He knows he can tell her everything, knows that she's a person he can confide in. He holds nothing back, and she doesn't run away screaming like everyone else has. She listens.

And when she talks about herself, he listens. He knows about her "evil" step-mother and pushover dad. He knows about the girls at her school, whose insults cut sharper than knives. That she's not as put together as she looks.

He always tells her she's doing better than he is. But she doesn't believe it. Probably because she's never seen him in action. She's never seen him lose control. Percy's scared that if she sees that, she'll hate him forever. But there's a part in him that knows she won't. That knows she'll understand.

They meet up at the park, at a smoothie bar, around town. He starts seeing her more, and realizes their paths cross one time on the walk to school. It's funny, when you can see color, you notice things more.

He thinks he's getting better. He isn't being sent to the office as much. He's biting back when another kid insults him. But then of course, they always go too far, and that's when Percy can't stop himself. But he's getting better, and that's what's important. His mother smiles more. He smiles more.

They meet up everyday after school. She helps him with his homework, Annabeth is freakishly smart, and he cheers her up with jokes. Everything is going well, until one day (of course), something happens. The worst possible thing.

He bumps into a group of people from school. Specifically, Bryce Allen, Luke Castellan, and Octavian Spencer. They all smirk at him, and he knows what's coming.

"Whose this?" Luke asks, looking Annabeth up and down like she's a piece of meat. He grabs her hand, and holds it tightly. She looks confused, and kind of nervous. "Jackson," he drawls, "I didn't know you had a girlfriend."

He pulls her closer to him. "Go away Castellan. We're not looking for trouble."

"But she is," he points at her skirt, "looking like that."

Annabeth frowns, and Percy knows what she's thinking. She could kick his ass.

Percy tries to push through them. "Ah, ah, ah." Bryce says, rubbing his non-existent beard. "We're not letting you go that easy Jackson."

He squeezes his fist. "Listen here you-" he starts, but then Annabeth cuts him off.

"Assholes," she says, "I could dislocate your collarbone in a minute, and if that's not a threat, I could break them too. Get out of our way malakíes."

They look at her astounded, and she groans. "Was that not enough?" She shakes her head, and looks at Percy, rolling her eyes, "some people just don't get the message. Leave numbskulls."

They look kind of scared, and if it weren't for the situation, Percy would burst out laughing. They slowly nod, and walk away quickly, without looking back. Percy cups his hands, and when they're far away enough, he shouts, "and never come back!"

He turns to Annabeth. "What does 'malakíes' even mean?"

"I basically just called them dickheads in greek." She shrugs, "I took a couple classes, but only was there to learn the insults. It's fun to use when confusing teachers." She yawns, and rolls her shoulders back, her backpack falling up and down. "Let's go get some smoothies."

He smiles. He's so lucky to have her as his soulmate.

It's two weeks into hanging out when he asks her to be his girlfriend. He's asked her out on an official dinner date, at this old diner. He hasn't told his mom yet about Annabeth, but it would be nice to have her help. He has no clue whether the shirt he's wearing looks ridiculous or handsome. The worst part is, he doesn't have friends to ask about it either.

He stares at himself in the middle, and then sprays his body with this perfume he found at the dollar store. It smells like roses, and isn't really strong, but it's all he has. Plus, this is a diner date. He doesn't have to dress up dramatically. In fact, all he wears is this nice button down top, and a pair of black jeans. Nothing special. Most of his clothes are black and white, due to the fact he couldn't see anything before, so when he had enough money, a week ago, he went to a clothing store, and bought a nice blue button up from the back. It's not like anyone but Annabeth is going to see anyway, right?

Checking his watch, he sees the time, and rushes downstairs, grabbing his wallet. "Mom!" he yells to her, "I'm going out."

She responds, clearly unaffected, "sounds good honey! It's nice you're making friends. Text me when you get there."

No questions, he pumps his fist in the air quietly, and then yells back a simple, "love you!"

He walks to the park, where he's meeting up with Annabeth. When he arrives, she's not there yet, so he waits by the same bench that sat at when they first met. He looks around, still astounded by the bright greens, blues and browns of the world. Even though he's gotten used to it, still, whenever he goes outside, it's overwhelming.

She's a little bit late, but Percy doesn't worry about it. Nothing could worry him today. He relaxes on the bench, and closes his eyes. Soon enough, there's a tap on his shoulder, and she's standing in front of him.

He smiles, looking her up and down, taking in the dress she's wearing. It's black and white of course, but has this cute floral pattern on it. She looks amazing in it, and right then and there, he wants to kiss her.

They haven't kissed yet, but Percy hopes to do that tonight, when he asks her to be his girlfriend.

"Ready to go madam?" Percy asks, getting up, and offering her his own hand.

She giggles, and then tosses her hair dramatically, "I've never been more ready."

"Then off we go," She takes his hand, and they walk the short distance to the diner. It's not too far away, a very local place, but Percy hopes it'll be special either way.

The diner's not very full when they get in, several groups of people are sitting together and eating. They find a seat near the back, and look at the menus together.

"Let me guess," Percy says, as he scans it, "a cheese burger?"

She moves her shoulders to the side and smiles. "How'd you know?"

He taps the side of his head. "Intuition."

"Well then," she holds her pointer fingers to the side of her head, and appears to be thinking intently. "I think you're going to get," she's quiet for a couple of moments. "A BLT sandwich."

That's definitely not it, but Percy doesn't tell her that. He wants her to have her fun. "How did you know?" He fake gasps.

"Jedi mind tricks." Annabeth waves her hands in front of him, and then giggles, putting them on the table, and folding the menu shut.

Soon, their server arrives, and as claimed, Percy gets a BLT sandwich, and Annabeth gets a simple cheese burger with fries. They tease and laugh and talk all night long, until it's time to leave. Although it's dark out, Percy can't help but feel such a light happiness in his heart. As they walk back to the park, holding hands, and walking in zig zagged lines, he feels so warm inside.

"Annabeth," he turns to her, as they reach the park. "I was wondering if you'd be my girlfriend?"

She smiles, and is quiet for a moment, in a daze. Percy begins to doubt herself, but then Annabeth nods her head, and then grabs his hands, holding them in hers. "Of course Percy," she says, "I'd really like that."

"I really like you." Percy tells her, pulling her closer.

She leans in, and their noses are almost touching now. "I really like you too."

If Percy just moves his face a little farther in, tilts it to the side a bit, they'll be kissing. So he does, and feels his eyes slowly shut as he kisses the girl he likes. The one he likes so much.

She wraps her arms around his neck, and he wraps his around her waist, and they stand there, kissing each other in the dark of night. It's perfect, and all he wants is more. More of her, more of him, more of them. He'd do anything to have that.

They've been dating for five months when he feels it. This undying affection, one that says he would live, die, and do it all again for her. It's love. And that's when he tells her mom about Annabeth. He wants to be sure, absolutely positive that's what it is, and he's been scared to tell her for so long.

He gets her when he comes home from school a little late, after spending the last thirty minutes with her, walking and talking. "Mom," he says to her, his eyes bright, "I'm in love."

This gets her attention very quickly. She puts down her laptop, and looks at him with these tired eyes. "Come again?" she says.

"I'm in love, mom." He repeats, taking his backpack off, and hugging it to his stomach. "I am so utterly in love."

She cocks her head, and frowns at him. "With who?" She asks.

"Annabeth Chase," he practically sighs dreamily, thinking about her.

His mother frowns, "Whose Annabeth Chase?"

"My soulmate." he says to her, and for a moment, everything stops. His mother's mouth drops open, and her computer falls to the floor.

"What?" She asks, accusatory. "When did this happen? Why didn't you tell me?"

There come the questions. He knew that they'd come one way or another. "Uh," he stutters, looking sheepish. "Five months ago."

"Five months?" His mother buries her head in her hands. "Why didn't you tell me this five months ago then?"

Percy opens and closes his mouth several times. "I didn't know how."

"Percy, all you need to say is, I met my soulmate," his mother throws her arms in the air, "you didn't even need to ask me to meet her! Just telling your mother would be a common courtesy."

Percy drops his backpack, and looks down at the ground. "I'm sorry more. I just-" he tries again. "I wanted to have someone that was all mine. That nobody else knew about."

Her gaze softens. "Percy, you could have had that. But as your mother," she looks at him pointedly, "it would have been nice to know. Is she really your soulmate?"

Percy nods.

"And you can see the colors?"

He nods again.

"Then that's all I needed to know then." She tells him seriously, and then beckons him over to her, holding out her arms. "Come here baby, let me give you a hug."

He walks over reluctantly, and hugs her. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. But if you want, you can meet her."

His mother sniffs, "of course Percy. God," she says, almost to herself, "my son's found his soulmate." She shakes her head. "I'm happy for you Percy. So happy."

He hugs her tighter. "Thank you mom."

They arrange a time to meet, where all families could come to talk. Percy's not going to lie, he's nervous about Annabeth meeting his mom, but since he admitted to finding his soulmate, he's told her a lot about Annabeth.

But Annabeth's parents say they can't come. Annabeth tries not to look disappointed about it, but Percy can see it. He can see everything when it comes to her.

But saying everything is the struggle. He hasn't told her he loves her yet. He doesn't know when he will. But he knows he'll have to soon. He wants to, he really does, but whenever he tries to form the words, for the first time with her, he chickens out. Maybe it'll help when she meets his mom. Maybe that'll help him tell her.

He's been waiting near the front door for her to ring the doorbell since five o'clock, and now it's six, which is when she's scheduled to come. His mother is hasty in the kitchen, making pasta for them to all eat, and Percy has set the table, cleaned his room, and the rest of the house. He doesn't want to look like a slob in front of her.

He taps his feet against the ground, impatience. Five minutes go by, and she still hasn't arrived. Another five go by, and she still isn't there.

Crap, did something happen? She's only been five minutes late ever. Then again her parents could be stuck in traffic- they're the ones driving her.

The tapping resumes, until another five minutes go by, and he goes to the couch, defeated. His mother comes out of the kitchen, the pasta fully made, frowning. "Where is she?" she asks.

Percy shrugs. He doesn't know.

He checks his phone a million times for texts, but still, nothing. And then, when fifty minutes have passed, and the pasta is getting cold, the doorbell rings.

He rushes over to it, opening it to see a tear-stained Annabeth. "I'm sorry Percy," she says, "my parents, they forgot all about it. They were supposed to drive me, but they forgot, and started driving me to the fucking work function." She wipes a couple stray tears from her cheek. "I had to scream at them to drive me back."

Without thinking about it, he brushes away a tear, and then pulls her close to him. "It's okay," he says gently, "my mom will heat up the pasta, and we'll eat. Don't worry about it, I'm glad that you're here."

She sniffles against his chest, "thank you," her voice is cracked and rough. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Percy says gently. His mom creeps out from behind him, seeing Annabeth, and then backing away a little bit. Once Annabeth registers she's there, she tries to smile, and wave.

"Hi Ms. Jackson," Annabeth says, obviously trying to look and sound normal.

His mom looks sympathetic. "Oh honey," she smiles softly, "call me Sally. Come on in Annabeth. I've heard a lot about you."

And for the rest of the night, Percy and his mother try to cheer up. He thinks it works. In the end, she's laughing and joking like nothing happened. When she leaves, Percy gives her a hug and a quick peck on the lips. His mother looks at him, and mouths "I like her."

Percy smiles, and mouths back, "I like her too."

Well, it's a little bit more than liking her. He's full out in love.

It's early June when school lets out for the year officially for the both of them. Annabeth's classes let out a week later than his, but when she's finally out, they're inseparable. And since both are going to in-state colleges, they don't have to worry about being apart the next year. And there's no reality where he's breaking up with Annabeth. None at all.

It's a hot summer night when he says it to her for the first time. The sun has already set, and they're sitting out in the park, which has a picnic blanket under them, cuddling, and not much else. When he thinks she's asleep, he whispers quietly into her ears the words, "the world's not perfect. It'll never be. But if we have each other, then we'll both be fine. No matter what, I'll be there for you. I love you Annabeth, more than the earth, moon, and stars combined."

Annabeth stirs, and turns moving her lips to his ear. "I love you too Percy," she says, exhausted. "I love you so, so much."

He's surprised, but once she says the words back, he pulls her closer than he ever has before. He doesn't want to let her go ever. He doesn't want to lose her, he doesn't want anything bad to happen to her.

She kisses him on the neck, sighing as the warm air tickles their skin. He can't believe he got this lucky, can't believe that this is the time he's alive, with her. Always with her.

It's going to be the best damn summer he's ever had as long as he stays with her. And from the way she's holding him, he's sure she will.

Their first argument is over something stupid. Percy tells Annabeth he wants to meet her parents, and she says no. She says she isn't comfortable with that, that she doesn't want them to see him.

"Why?" He asks her, hurt.

Annabeth stutters, as if she doesn't know what to say. "You wouldn't understand it."

Percy throws his hands into the air. "Then explain it to me Annabeth. Are you ashamed of me?" He continues, irritated. "Just tell me!"

"I'm not ashamed of you Percy." She says, shaking her head. "I just-"

He shakes his head, "you just don't want me to meet the people who raised you. Okay, that totally makes sense." He rolls his eyes, and then turns. "I can't right now," he turns to her, quickly, and feels a stab to his chest when he sees the sad look on her face. He forces himself to turn away now, "I need to go."

"Wait, Percy!" Annabeth shouts after him. He turns around, waiting. But she doesn't say anything. She just stares.

He turns away, and keeps walking.

They don't talk for three days, and those might be the worst three days of this year. He can't avoid avoiding her, so he holes himself in his house, looking through photos of them from his camera roll. They didn't break up, did they? Couples have arguments all the time, right?

But this is their first one, and even if they make up, it's inevitable that there will be more. And Percy hates not being able to call her, but he knows that if he wants to continue this, if he wants to stay with her, he'll have to make the first move.

So the third night, as he sits in bed, looking at his phone, going to his contacts, and pressing the call button.

It picks up after one ring.

"I'm sorry Annabeth." He says. "I understand, I just- I really want to meet your parents. And I don't understand why you don't want me to meet them, but I couldn't stay away from you." He clears his throat. "I'm sorry."

Annabeth's quiet for a long time, and when she finally speaks, he feels a shiver down his spine. "My parents… they don't care for me in the way that parents should. I wouldn't say they neglect me, they just aren't present. Constantly hung up on work, constantly focusing on not caring for me. I've told them I found my soulmate plenty of times, but they're so focused on me marrying someone profitable, I don't think they even notice. And when they are present, they don't care. They haven't even asked to meet you. And I'm scared…" she hesitates. "I'm scared that if you meet them, you'll run away screaming." She pauses. "I don't want that to happen," her voice catches, "and that's why I don't want you to meet them."

"Oh." Percy feels so guilty. He should have known it was something like that. He should have- "God, I feel like an asshole Annie. I didn't know. I swear- I… I'm so fucking sorry."

She laughs sadly, "well now you know." There's a little fumble on her end, but she picks up talking quickly after that. "Let's meet up tomorrow. We can talk more, make sure that the rest of the summer doesn't waist away. I just- this hurt, and I…" her voice trails away.

He can sense a discomfort in her voice, but he doesn't prod. She doesn't want to talk about it, Percy gets that. They've always shared everything with each other, but some things aren't meant to be shared, and Percy is going to respect that.

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow Annie." He tells her, making it clear she doesn't have to continue, "I love you."

She clears her throat. "I love you too Percy."

It won't be their first fight- no relationship is absolutely perfect, but Percy knows that a mutual understanding has come to them, and they'll be able to get through everything now. Because they're meant to be, they're soulmates.

By the time that summer ends, both of them are stoked for college. Annabeth, since she's going to be an architecture major, and Percy, since he's starting to work to become a marine biologist. For his birthday in August, Annabeth gets him a bunch of books, this nice set of scuba gear, and of course, two packages of his favorite candy. It's the most thoughtful gift he's ever gotten, and he jumps on her, showering her with kisses when he sees it. For her birthday in July, Percy got her this special graphing tablet that he was able to get with the saved up money in his bank account. So he thinks that the gifts are matched.

When they head off to college, they're prepared. The two locations are only about an hour and a half away from each other, so they decide to visit on weekends, and whenever else seems necessary. Everything goes well, and they've never had trust issues in their relationship, they're soulmates, it's practically impossible."

Sometimes, Percy gets surprised when he remembers not everyone can see color. When he sees all the people wearing clashing clothing, or all white. It's funny to him, but he tries not to laugh. It's unfair.

In college, he finally meets a group of people he likes. A group of people who understand him. Grover, Jason and Leo are his new guy friends, and Rachel and Piper are the two girls he meets. They're nice, and have never questioned the fact he has a soulmate, which several people already have.

When they find out, he always gets a bunch of questions. What's the color of the shirt I'm wearing? How many shades does the sky have in it? How did you meet her? Will I meet mine?

He can only answer a few of those questions, but to the others, he always tells them that it's luck. He's extremely lucky to have Annabeth, super lucky. They don't have to worry about loyalty, they don't need to worry about emotional detachment, or anything like that. It's perfect.

Annabeth seems that she's adjusting to college life as well. They fall into a steady routine of studying, visiting each other, and hanging out with friends. The first half of the year flies by quickly, and then they return to their hometown to celebrate the holidays with each other.

According to Annabeth, she's barely had any contact with her family, so his mom offers to let her celebrate the holidays with them. She gratefully agrees, and they have a nice, quiet Christmas together. It's lowkey, which is all Percy's ever known. But it seems new to Annabeth. And as Percy realizes, it's the first Christmas they've had together. It's crazy how they've known each other for basically a year now. He feels like he's known Annabeth for a lifetime.

During the New Year, they celebrate together, and Percy feels bad when his mother tells him how lonely she is. She doesn't have anything but him. And ever since Percy's father and Gabe, she hasn't had much luck with relationships. Percy asks her if she'd ever try out a dating app, and she shrugs, like it's no big deal.

But it is, it really is to him. He doesn't want her to be lonely. He feels bad about leaving her all alone, her book the only thing occupying her. So before he leaves, he helps her set up a couple of profiles on dating apps. He teaches her how to use them.

She says that if she doesn't find her soulmate here, it's not worth it.

He tells her that she'll always be lonely if she keeps thinking that way.

And when she's quiet for a long while, he apologizes, feeling guilty. After five minutes of convincing, she finally says she'll try out. Percy doesn't know if she'll uphold that, but he can't argue, he has to leave.

The entire car ride there, he feels bad, and Annabeth comforts him, telling him it's not his fault. Her college is a little bit farther away than his, so they're taking her car (an "I'm sorry for bailing out on you" gift from her parents) to drop him off first, and then she'll drive the rest of the way

When they arrive at his campus, he kisses her for a long time leaning over the dashboard, and pulling her so close, and so intensely towards her. She gasps at the touch of their lips, and he just kisses harder, until he brings her to his lap, and they make out there.

He's really going to miss her touch, even if he'll see her in three weeks.

But that doesn't matter, because three weeks without her are going to feel like eternity.

When they finally break apart, Percy tells her he loves her and she repeats the words, blowing a kiss to him as he goes back up to his dorm.

It's going to be a long three weeks.

The rest of the year goes by fast, and then, after a long and very intimate summer with Annabeth, sophomore year of college starts. It zooms by quickly, and soon enough everything is over. He's gotten through college, and he and Annabeth are going to move into an apartment together while she earns her masters degree.

Percy finds a job at a research station that pays well, and while in graduate school, Annabeth works at an internship, which also pays. They keep up their bills, and have a good time.

On another note, his mother has met someone. It isn't her soulmate, she still hasn't seen any colors, but he seems nice. Stable. Paul's living with his mother now, and Percy likes him. He's kind to her, and that's all that matters. He's also made an effort to get to know Percy, which is a thoughtful thing to do, considering for the long while, he wasn't exactly nice to Paul.

But now they're cool, and Percy and Annabeth visit them every once in a while.

They also have a big group of friends, who they hang out with on Friday's, and go bowling with. It's a total old people thing, which they all acknowledge, but they have fun, which is the most important part.

Jason, Leo, Frank, Hazel, Piper, Jason, Thalia, Reyna, Nico, Will, Rachel, and Grover. There's a whole big group of them. Some of them are friends Annabeth made in college, and some are friends Percy made, and others are from work. They're an interesting group, and a big one too. There are twelve of them in all, so not all of them can get together each time. Sometimes it's just half, or even less. But everyone seems to make it to their weekly bowling night.

Percy and Annabeth are falling into an interesting lifestyle, that of a couple. A weathered couple who lives together, a well-oiled machine. And it's working for them. They're "that" couple. The couple that's bound to get married anytime soon. Percy plans to propose sometime next year when he makes enough money to get a nice ring, and a perfect night. Because Annabeth deserves it.

He already has his eye on one- it's this antique pearl ring that he was at this old shop downtown. The owner said that they'd keep it on hold for him as long as they could. Percy could basically afford the ring already, he just needs to make sure that the night is perfect- a classy restaurant, a romantic setting where he'll propose, and an even better scenery when they get back for some fun.

But for now, he saves up, and prepares for the perfect night, with the perfect girl.

He rolls his shoulder back as he looks at himself in their bedroom mirror. Nice suit, it's a simple black matched with a blue tie. Annabeth is putting makeup on in the bathroom (which she doesn't need, obviously, but Percy knows it's something she likes to do).

He adjusts his tie, and knocks on the bathroom door. Annabeth quickly tells him she'll be a minute, so he sits on the bed, waiting for a "minute" to pass.

Definitely not a minute later, she comes out, and goddamn she looks good. A blue dress to match his tie, and nice black slip ons that add an accent to the whole outfit. Flawless, in his mind. He takes her arm in his, and leads her outside.

They start by walking to the restaurant, hand in hand. Percy feels the ring case in his back pocket, eager to pull it out, but knowing he needs to wait. So he does. They have a nice dinner at this fancy restaurant he paid a lot of money to go to.

They each get amazing meals and share them, telling each other to try every new dish they taste. It's a pleasant night, with plenty of laughs as always, and even more intensity. It's like she knows what he's planning, and is daring him to do it at every moment.

Percy is not great at keeping secrets, but this was one he's made sure to guard carefully, so there's no way she knows. No way at all.

Once they finish eating, Percy quickly pays, and they exit, joyful and high on what Percy would like to call love.

Percy leads her to a nearby location, one that overlooks the area they gather in. It's cliff-like, and surrounded by trees, though there's a clearing that allows people to see the city.

He pulls her close to him, as they walk and talk, swaying back and forth. And then, Percy clears his throat, and Annabeth looks at him expectantly.

"Annabeth Chase." He starts, because that seems like a good place to go. "I have loved you for as long as I can remember. For as long as I've known what true love was. You know I struggled as a kid, you know I was a delinquent, but you stayed with me anyway. You let me be me, even more, you liked it when I was me. So my love, my soulmate, I know this is cheesy," he went down on one knee, and held out the ring. Her eyes lit up as she waited for him to finish, "will you marry me?"

It's quiet for almost a millisecond, and then Annabeth is jumping up and down, saying "yes, yes, yes, yes," over and over again. His heart leaps as he takes her hand, and slides the ring onto it, and then she tugs his sleeve, singling him to come up, with one fluid moment, kissing him.

It's soft and hard at the same time. Full of love and desperation and so much more. He kisses her throughout the rest of the night. When they walk back home, another long kiss. When they enter the house, another one, which ends up with her leading him to their bed.

They kiss, and love, and do all the things they need, because they're in love. So desperately in love.

The wedding day is hasty. Percy is so impatient, he wants to get married to this girl, and he wants it now. Everything is picked out and perfect. Friends and family are invited. It's full and packed, and Percy couldn't dream of anything better than this.

He hasn't seen Annnabeth all day, something about how it's bad luck, but he can't wait to see how good she looks on the altar, as they make the vows. He's itching to say "I do," and then to kiss her in front of everyone, so that they all see that she's his. All mine.

He looks into the crowd, and then just minutes later, the wedding procession goes by. Damn, he's so eager to see her, for this to be the best day of his life.

As the people pass, he pinches himself, trying to make sure this isn't a dream. But when he opens his eyes again, color shines into the world, and he knows it isn't a dream. It's a real, blissful reality.

He's got his head in the clouds as they begin their vows, it's like he's blocking everything out except for her. She looks gorgeous, her white dress flowing in the wind. It was a good idea to opt for an outdoor wedding, it feels so natural and neat.

And soon, it's time to say the "I do's," and he doesn't hesitate at all. He says it loud and proud, because he wants the whole world to know that he, Percy Jackson, is married to her, Annabeth Chase.

"You may now kiss the bride."

Percy pulls her against him sideways, and puts his lips to hers, kissing forcefully. He doesn't make it such a scene, both his and Annabeth's parents are here, but he makes sure they know that he'll cherish her forever and ever.

They break apart, grinning at each other wildly, and then are rushed off to the party venue, in a horse-drawn carriage (a mutual decision and inside joke), that's labeled "just married."

The embrace and hug and kiss the entire way there. By the end of it, Percy's breathless, and Annabeth's hair is slightly rumpled. He pats it down lightly, and she pulls him in for another kiss, ruining it again.

"Oh Annabeth," he murmurs into her ear, hours later on the dance floor, "I love you so much."

She sighs happily, "I love you too."

It's two years into their marriage when Annabeth sits down next to him after a long day at work, and places a pregnancy test next to his papers. He looks over, and when he sees that it's positive. He kisses her like never before. This is what he's always dreamed of. He's always wanted kids with her. Always wanted a family.

Before he met her, he never thought about wanting a big family. He had a single mom and was an only child, and they were doing fine. But when he met Annabeth, all of that changed. Color had spilled into the world, and he'd savored the idea of a future ever since.

"What are we going to name them?" Percy murmurs into her ear late at night, when they are about to sleep.

Annabeth hums. "I like the name Isabelle." she says. "Or maybe Dylan."

"If you like those, then I like those," Percy tells her, his hand on her stomach. "We're going to have a kid," He shakes his head, "god Annie, I'm so excited."

He can feel her smile. "I'm excited to."

For the next couple of weeks, they prepare the home. It's not an impending danger, but Percy is strangely really excited to baby-proof the apartment. And the home is big enough for them to not have to move out.

But he is very invested in baby proofing the house. Even though the child won't even see color, he makes in effort to have matching installments, a cute baby blue. Annabeth tells him he's putting too much effort into it, and that the baby isn't even scheduled to come until five months, but he ignores her, and goes back to his work.

In the span of a month, the entire house is baby proofed, and Annabeth complains that she can't even open the fridge door without having to unhook a latch and press a button. He tells her that she'll get used to it, and she rolls her eyes at him.

But Percy doesn't care, because he's going to have a child. It's weird or euphoric he is about this, but at the same time, it's not. Aren't all dad's supposed to be like this? Well, except for his, who left when he was young. But Percy swears that won't happen to him.

He'll never leave Annabeth.

He occupies his time with work, baby proofing, and of course, Annabeth. He tries to learn how to cook, which ends up with several scorched pans and two salads gone wrong, so they stick to take out. But, by the end of it, he can successfully make lasagna and chicken, which Annabeth says is a success.

Annabeth has finished her masters degree, and is working at an architectural firm in the next city over. For the first month and a half, she goes into work, but then decides to work on designs from home, it's easier and safer.

Percy goes into work everyday, sometimes out at the beach with his gear, and then comes back to see Annabeth typing away on her laptop. He can never understand her designs, even when she explains them to him, but that's just because she's smarter than him. Percy didn't even know if he wanted to go to college in his junior year of high school, so it was a wonder he got into one in-state.

They work and learn together, until several months have past, and Annabeth's scheduled to give birth any second now. He's so goddamn excited, that he can't focus at work. Jason tells him to cool down, but he can't, he's so excited.

And then, one night, when he's working late, he gets a call from Annabeth. "Percy," she says, "my water broke. I need a ride to the hospital."

Percy packs up as fast as he can, and rushes home. He almost gets into two car accidents, but he doesn't care. Once he arrives, he rushes up and down the stairs, and they drive quickly to the hospital. Percy keeps one hand over her stomach, in an effort to calm her down, but it doesn't work. She's groaning, and he can't get there fast enough.

When they arrive, they rush her in, and start tending to her. Percy sits in the waiting room, tapping his feet against the tile floor. It feels like it's been eternity when the doctor finally comes out, saying that he can go see his child.

He races to the room the doctor points him too, and when he enters, he sees Annabeth, with a beautiful child in her arms. "It's a girl," she says weakly, holding their child up. "Isabelle, right?"

"Right." Percy says, pulling her and the baby into a tight hug. "God, I love you."

Annabeth shakes her head tiredly. "You don't know how much that means to me."

He kisses her quickly on the cheek. "Oh, but I do."

For the next couple of years, they watch Isabelle grow. She turns from an ambitious baby, to a moody toddler in what feels like such a short period of time. And soon enough, it's time for her to go to Kindergarten. They watch Isabelle go into the school, backpack and lunch book in hand. And they're so proud. She's already bright, and they both know school is where she'll shine.

By this time, Annabeth's pregnant again, and she's due in just a few months, and they've been hyping little Isabelle up, because she's going to be a big sister. Isabelle has told them continuously that she doesn't want to be a big sister, but Annabeth and Percy know when she meets her new sibling, she'll be happy about it.

Isabelle is making friends quickly. Nico and Will's adopted child and her are buddies now, and Jason and Pipers' kid are a part of the trio.

Isabelle seems to get along with the other people in her grade, and she has her mother's wit, so she quickly makes a good impression on the teachers. By the second month of school (when Annabeth is due to give birth), she has an entire posse of followers, and is booked every other weekend for a play-date.

And when Annabeth's water breaks for the second time, and she gives birth, and just like they suspected, Isabelle is a good big sister to little baby Dylan. When Annabeth and Percy put them together, they hope that they'll have a good relationship.

...

Soon enough, it's time for Isabelle to go to middle school, and Dylan to go into first grade. By this time, Isabelle and Dylan are close, but in a big-sister little brother way. She tells him what to expect in the way a little five year old can understand, and soon enough both of them are off to school. Dylan seems to have a harder time than Isabelle did, but manages to find one good friend, a girl named Harper. Harper is nice, a bit of a tomboy, but they become fast friends after one game of four squares together. And they're inseparable. Meanwhile, Isabelle is thriving in sixth grade, making even more friends than before, while keeping her grades stellar.

They love both of them so much, and can't be happier together. Percy and Annabeth are still, as always, desperately in love and they hope someday, their kids will find soulmates too. Not many do, but luck still exists, doesn't it?

Dylan doesn't quite understand the concept of soulmates yet, but Isabelle does. She's constantly talking about finding her soulmate, just as her parents did. Percy always gives Annabeth a knowing smile whenever Isabelle goes on one of her rants. She gets really into it- the soulmate concept is something she wants to explore. She says when she grows up, she wants to help people find their soulmates. And of course, there's a job for that, Piper's one after all.

Dylan's a quiet kid, especially when he's around new people. He's more like his father, but in a different way. When he's with Harper though, he's a chatterbox.

...

Time goes by quickly, and soon Dylan's going into high school, and Isabelle's off to college. She seems to be doing well, but when she comes home over the break, everything changes.

She saunters in, a smirk on her face, obviously on something. "I'm failing my classes." She says, and then sits down next to Dylan, who's scowling at her. Recently, the boy's been getting extremely moody and mad. Maybe it's because of Harper, who's finding other friends.

Annabeth is the first one to speak. "Since when?" She scoffs, and looks over at Percy. He shrugs, silently telling her that he was no clue.

"What the hell are you on?" Percy asks, frowning at her. "You can't just say that."

Isabelle shrugs. "I just did."

Dylan mutters under his breath, crossing his arms, "dumbass."

"Hey!" Annabeth says, glaring at Dylan. "No cursing, do you hear me?"

Dylan rolls his eyes. "Dad literally just cursed."

"He's your father." Annabeth says, shaking her head as she looks at Percy. "But that's besides the point! You need to get your grades back up. We paid a buttload of money for your tuition, and you aren't going to fail out."

Isabelle shrugs. "Whatever. My boyfriend will just pay for it instead."

"Your boyfriend?" Annabeth exclaims. "When did this happen?"

"My boyfriend?" Isabelle smirks. "Two months ago. He's rich, and said that if I drop out, he'll help me sustain myself."

Percy can't take it now. It's so absurd. "Are you insane?" He shouts. "We've never had trouble with you, and now you just drop this on us? What's going on?"

Dylan groans, and then slowly claps his hand. "Yeah, because I'm the problem child."

"Shut up Dylan." Annabeth waves her finger at him. "It's not the time."

He throws his hands up into the air. "It's never the time! It's always Isabelle this, Isabelle that! She's so perfect, and I'm the failure, just because I can't play sports, my grades suck, I can't get the fucking girl, and when she finally screws up, it's me whose still labled the problem child? That's so fucking screwed up!"

Percy threads one of his hands through his head. "Watch your mouth young man." He tells Dylan seriously, who just rolls his eyes and glares.

"It's not your fault you're a nerd." Isabelle mutters. "But seriously, I'm fine."

Annabeth and Percy look at each other, and speak in unison. "You're not dropping out of college."

"That's was some Steven King type shit," Dylan mumbles, grabbing his phone, "look, I'm leaving. As much as this was a pleasant dinner, I've had enough."

He walks to his room. Annabeth looks at Percy, exasperated. "Should I go?" she says.

"No," Percy shakes his head. "I'll calm him down, okay? You talk to Isabelle." She's bound to knock more sense into her than he will.

Percy goes to Dylan's room, and knocks on the door lightly. "Hey sport, can I come in?"

Dylan responds with a groan, and Percy takes this as a "yes dear father, of course you can."

He goes over to his bed, which is surrounded with various band stickers and drawings. Dylan's always been an artist, but recently, he's been getting really good. "I'm sorry about Harper," he says, "I know you like her."

Dylan rolls over to look at him. "It's just- why do nerds like me never get the girls? I swear, why couldn't I just get your 'cool' genes."

Percy laughs. "Dylan, I was never cool. Before I met your mother, I was laughed at in the hallways. It's sad to say, but I was a delinquent. I acted out, nobody liked me. But then when I met your mother, my soulmate, everything changed. I fixed my act."

"You tell that story all the time, Dad." Dylan says. "But Harper's not my soulmate, I don't see color. She- she likes one of the popular jocks, I think. And she'll never notice me, I'm just her nerdy friend that nobody wants around. And I don't think I'll ever meet my soulmate."

Percy sighs. "If you want the truth, most people don't. But that doesn't mean they settle. Look at Nico and Will. They're totally in love, and if they met their soulmates, they wouldn't break apart. Sometimes it makes no difference, you just start seeing color. Other times, like your rmother and I, it's a lifelong thing."

"So I don't have to keep waiting?" Dylan asks, his eyes sad, but with a softness to them. Like he has hope.

Percy shakes his hand. "No. Never."

They eventually talk Isabelle out of her insanity, and call up her so-called "boyfriend," telling him to stay away from her. There's something slimy about that guy, and Percy and Annabeth can't put their fingers on it.

They keep her on a tight leash for the rest of the year, and by the end of it, she's passed all of her classes. Senior year, Dylan and Harper (finally) get together, after a long while of Dylan pining while Harper remains peacefully oblivious.

But in the end, they have each other to lean on, and Percy's really happy about that. And then, by some miracle, they're in their fifties, and watching Isabelle say her vows, about to marry the person she loves.

Sadly, Dylan and Harper don't last, but they remain friends, and Dylan finds another love of his own. By then, the house is empty, it's only occupants are Percy and Annabeth. It feels strangely full though, with all the memories made. Percy knows they've lived fulfilling lives, and they retire together, and move from their house, to an apartment in the city.

It's the third and finally move they'll make.

His mother dies later, and Annabeth helps him cope. He can't believe the woman who has raised him is gone. That she's just disappeared. Annabeth's parents bailed on her a while back, they went AWOL, so she doesn't even know what their status is. His mother became a parent to Annabeth, so she's sad, almost as sad as he is.

When they go to the funeral, they see Paul standing alone, a tissue over his mouth, crying. Paul was a good guy, even though Percy didn't get to know him well. He hopes that Paul knows that they're there for him.

They stand next to him through the funeral, and comfort him. When they leave to go back home, with Dylan and Isabelle's family in tow, they make sure that Paul knows he can call them at any time. That they're family.

Paul thanks them, he looks so gratefully. Percy doesn't think he has any other family, so it's sad that he'll be alone. Percy makes sure Paul knows he can visit anytime, and he does.

But soon enough, half a year later, he joins his mother, wherever she is in the expanding cosmos. It seems he is losing lots of people as he ages. And that's expected. But it hurts so much whenever he gets notified of another funeral he has to go to.

At least Annabeth's there to get him through everything. She's all he needs.

It's a late night when he hears her grunt for the first time. There's a weakness to it, so he holds her tight, hoping that'll help. But it happens again, and again, and Percy's worried. He calls the kids, and tells them what's going on. They seem concerned, but have their only families to worry about. They each say they'll visit later.

Annabeth screams once, and then he decides it's time to drive her to the hospital. He goes as quick as he can, hoping that this is all a dream. When he finally arrives at the building, he hands them a lump of cash for no reason, and they rush her to a room.

They put her on a bunch of machine's Percy doesn't know the name of, and she sits next to her, brushing his hand through her now gray locks. He's so scared to be alone. He doesn't know what he'll do without her, how he'll live without her.

She's his everything. And once she's gone, he doesn't know if anything will be worth it. If he'll ever have anything good again.

He sits there all night, and then the next day. Dylan and Isabelle's family come, and so does Harper, she too, was close with her.

She dies surrounded by family. He gives her one last kiss on the lips before she leaves him, all alone.

He cries as he lets her go, and the world becomes colorless once again.

He visits her grave everyday. There's nothing else he can do, but sit there, and talk to her. He knows she can't hear him. But he still does it.

He forgot how dull the world was without color. No longer does he see the bright blue of the sky, or the deep green of the grass. He has no clue what color he's wearing, just that he has a polo shirt and loose, baggy jeans on. He's given up.

Isabelle and Dylan call him everyday, to make sure that he's okay. He's not, but he reassures them that he's doing fine. At least his family checks up on him, if not, he'd be eternally lonely.

None of this feels right. He's supposed to die with her. He wanted to die with her. And now that he's all alone, he doesn't know what his purpose is. What is he to do with the rest of his life?

He turns to a routine. Waking up in the morning, taking a walk around the city. Chatting was Jason and Piper over a game of cards, and then walking to Annabeth's grave. He sometimes goes to pick up groceries, and makes himself lasagna. The small plate of food depresses him, but he still eats it.

Whenever he eats it, it feels like a bunch of knives are slicing through his throat. Later he learns it's not just the food, it's lung cancer.

He knows he won't survive it. In fact, he's so depressed, he doesn't want to survive it. He tells his children, and they visit him with their families, all of the grandchildren surrounding him. He feels blissful for the first time in a long while.

Isabelle and Dylan stay with him as he slowly goes into hospice. Their spouses take care of the kids, as they wait with him. Wait with him to die. They sometimes entertain him with stories about their families. Other times, it's just silent. They don't know what to say.

They both hold one hand of his, and help him eat, get changed, and basically live. But is this really worth living? Percy doesn't know. What he does know, is that he'll be with Annabeth soon. He doesn't know how soon, but he knows it's coming.

One day, it gets really bad, and they're worried he's dying. But somehow, despite himself, he manages to push through. Percy doesn't even want to push through but he does. Isabelle and Dylan get really worried when he tells them this, but soon enough, he convinces them of his point.

There comes a time when he'll suffer less if they just pull the cord. But they don't, and Percy continues to live.

This isn't living. He tells them, but of course, he continues.

It's a cold August day (he thinks) when he goes. Isabelle, Dylan, and all of his living friends surround him. They make him laugh, even though he knows he'll be dying sometime soon. But he's fine with that. He's made his peace.

He knows that he'll die today, it's a fact. Nobody else does, and when he tries to convince them, they don't believe him. They laugh, and tell him there's no possible way he knows that. But he does. He knows the end is coming near, that near being today. And he's waited long for this, so long. Percy's ready to find his peace, and hopefully see Annabeth.

He likes the idea of their graves being next to each other. Percy and Annabeth Jackson, he thinks dreamily. Over the past years, he's made sure that spot stays open, and has begged his children many times to put him there when he's gone.

He knows they think he's delusional, but it's better so much better that way.

He hasn't been outside in a long time, and although he can't see the colors of the world anymore, it's nice to feel the wind blow against his now-wrinkly skin. He sits, and waits for it to happen, but by sunset it hasn't, so he asks for them to wheel him back in.

And then, by some miracle, it does. He feels his eyes flutter down as he speaks his final words. "I'm going to see Annabeth."

Then it's all dark, and the end had finally come.

I love Alec Benjamin so much. His songs always get me so motivated. If you don't know who he is, you should definitely check him out, he's an amazing musician and storyteller.

Anyway, thanks so much for reading! I don't really know how I feel about this, but I'd love it if you could leave a review and tell me what you think! I've always wanted to write a soulmate AU, but have never gotten to it, so here we are.

Again, thanks for reading! Stay safe and healthy!
