It had been 2 months since you ended things with Bakugou and you were miserable. You overreacted plain and simple, but you couldn't muster up the courage to go to him and apologize. What you wrote him in the letter was truly how you felt. You needed someone who was going to shower you with the affection you knew you deserved. No matter how badly you wanted that person to be Katsuki, you knew he could never be what you needed. That realization just seemed to break your heart even more. You couldn't help but spend every minute of every day thinking about him. What was he doing? How was he feeling? Did he miss you? Did he already move on? Was it with that skank who caused you to break up in the first place?
Your mind was going a mile a minute that you didn't hear the doorbell to your parents house ring the first few times. You were so wrapped up in your manic episode that it took your phone going off before you snapped out of it. You grabbed your phone and looked to see who could be texting you. You were surprised that it was from Bakugou. He didn't try and reach out once since you broke up.
Will you please open the door? I need to talk to you.
You looked at the text for a few minutes as you contemplated what you should do. You missed him so much and you knew he deserved an explanation in person. Knowing how Bakugou reacted and expressed his emotions it made perfect sense why he would wait 2 months before contacting you. He probably spent the first month breaking anything and everything he could get his hands on. The rest of the time was a mystery. You had no idea what could've been going through his head.
You let out a sigh before finally answering his text.
I'll be right down.
You looked like you had just gotten out of bed even though it was well into the afternoon. The last few months you didn't have the energy to try and fill yourself up. You had spent every day in either sweatpants or pajama pants with a pullover on. Your hair stayed in a permanent bun on your head and your eyes were red and puffy from all the crying you had been doing. Even though you were the one who instigated the break up, it still took its toll on you.
You made your way down the stairs and over to the door. You hesitated before slowly opening it and coming face to face with the love of your life. Seeing him made your heart burst. He was still as handsome as he always had been. His ash blonde hair, his crimson red eyes, his whole being made your cheeks flame red. You hated how even now he still made you blush like a lunatic.
"Can I come in?" He asked as he looked down at the ground nervously.
"Uhm sure." You said as you moved to the side to let him in.
You took him into the living room and sat down on the couch, him following your lead. You sat in silence for awhile before he finally spoke.
"(Y/N I am so sorry about everything. I made a huge mistake letting you leave me. I realize now that I wasn't the man you needed. I know it took me awhile, but I now know what you need in a partner. You need someone who isn't afraid to show the world what you mean to them. I know I can be that man for you. I love you and the last two months of us being apart has killed me. Coming home and finding your letter broke me into a million pieces. I didn't think I would ever get over it. Looking back I know I've made some terrible mistakes, and I've treated you so poorly. I know I'm not the easiest person to get along with. I know I have a short fuse and my temper rivals that of a villain, but you loved me regardless of all of that. You are the only person that's loved all of me. My attitude included. I promise if you give me another chance I will change. I'll be the man you always knew I could be." He took a deep breath as he finished and looked into your tear forming eyes.
"Aww baby I didn't mean to make you cry." He said as he watched the tears run down your face. He brought his hand up and brushed them away as they fell.
"I have missed you so much Katsu. I'm so sorry for how I acted. I was jealous and I shouldn't have been. I should be the one begging for you to take me back. I now how bad you are at expressing yourself, but I also know how much you love me. You never made me feel like I wasn't loved. I love you so much." You cried as you buried your head in his chest. He wrapped his arms around you and held you close as you both let the tears you had been holding in out.
You took turns rubbing soothing circles on each others backs. It felt so good to be back in his arms. You knew that no matter what happened in the future you wouldn't ever let this happen again.
"There is one other thing I need to ask you." Bakugou said as he pulled out of your embrace.
You watched as he got up from the couch and down on one knee. He pulled a small box from his jeans and opened it to reveal the most beautiful diamond ring you had ever seen.
"(Y/N), I told myself when I got you back that I was never going to let you go again. You are the best thing that has ever happened to. You came into my life right when I needed it, even if at the time I didn't think I did. You have and always will be the only woman for me. I love you with all that I am. Will you marry me?" He asked as he nervously looked up at you.
"Yes yes a million times yes." You screamed as you tackled him to the floor. He slid his arms around your waist as you hugged him. He slowly sat you both back up and slipped the ring on your finger.
"I love you Katsuki." You said as you brushed your lips onto his giving him a quick kiss.
"I love you too, idiot." He said with a smile as he returned his lips to yours giving you a heart wrenching kiss of his own.
You stayed like that for hours. Wrapped in each other's arms making up for all that lost time, and there was no where else either of you would wanna be.
