Tartarus is going to be OOC and nice to Percy.

'This is me thinking'

"This is me talking"

Previously

Percy

Damasen didn't reply. Instead he simply gestured towards Perseus and Calypso. Tartarus turned to look at them and his eyes seemed to pierce through Percy, as if gazing into his very soul. Tartarus face suddenly drained of all colour.

"Perseus" He whispered.

Now

"Percy" Percy automatically corrected Tartarus and then wished he hadn't. Angering a powerful deity was not on his to-do list, "Um, I mean I prefer being called Percy, but you can call me Perseus if you want" He squeaked.

Tartarus examined him for a moment then turned back to Damasen, "Why is he here?" His voice was dangerously low.

"I-he," Damasen was afraid and nervous, maybe summoning Tartarus wasn't such a good idea, "He fell in" Damien gulped, "He was on a quest and he traveled to the Underworld with his friends when he fell into the pit"

Tartarus took a deep breath and calmed himself, "Perseus, come here" He ordered.

Percy had half a mind to run of in the other direction but realised that would be a stupid idea that would most likely get him killed so he did what Tartarus told him to, "Hello" His voice sounded stronger than he felt and he mentally berated himself for starting by saying hello. One does not greet a powerful immortal who could blast them to smithereens in seconds like that, no, one should bow before them and address them respectfully, "I mean, Lord Tartarus, a pleasure to make your acquaintance" He hastily bowed and stood their unsure what to do. He sneaked a glance at Calypso who looked like she would be face-palming right now if it wasn't for the being in front of her.

Percy squeezed his eyes shut. He expected to feel the pain of death for his disrespect, but to his surprise he heard a laugh. He opened his eyes and saw Tartarus laughing. Like properly laughing. His laugh was loud and boomed all around. Percy wasn't actually sure what was so funny but stayed quiet. He had a big mouth that tended to get him in trouble a lot.

After about a minute Tartarus ceased his laughter and spoke once more. His voice was softer this time and he had a smile on his face, "It's been ages since I've laughed," He had a wistful look on his face, "The only person who could…" He trailed of, lost in his memories.

"Excuse me, sir?" Percy said nervously, "If you don't mind me asking, what was so funny?"

"An inside joke" Tartarus said, "And please, Perseus, don't call me 'sir' or 'lord', it makes me feel old" He seemed completely different to how he was a few minutes ago and Percy briefly wondered if this was a different person before him.

"Okay… What should I call you then?" Percy asked cautiously.

Tartarus smiled, "Call me… Dad"

Annabeth/Luke

The furies had taken them to Hades. They had just arrived in his throne room. Annabeth and Luke bowed before Hades.

"Lord Hades," Annabeth said respectfully.

"Demigods. What are you doing in my realm?" Hades was lounging in his throne, completely relaxed.

"We are on a quest for Zeus master bolt, Lord Hades, with our friend Percy Jackson-" Annabeth was cut of when Hades raised a hand to silence her.

"Percy Jackson, you say? Why isn't he with you?" Hades leaned forward slightly in his throne.

"He-" Annabeth let out a strangled sob, "H-he fell into T-tartarus. We're sorry"

"Sorry? What for?" Hades frowned.

"He was your son, wasn't he?" Luke watched Hades carefully, waiting for his reaction.

"Now, why would you think that?" Hades kept his face neutral, not showing any expression.

"Well, Lord Hades, he can shadow travel" Annabeth was puzzled, why would Hades ask that?

Hades blinked and a chuckle escaped him, "Oh, I see now. He's not my child, but I know who his father is"

"He's not?" Annabeth was caught of guard, "Lord Hades, who's child is he?"

"I don't think I'll tell you, not yet anyway" Hades smirked, "You're a daughter of Athena, you should be able to figure it out yourself" He examined them, "Tell me why you've come to see me. Surely my younger brother doesn't think I stole his master bolt"

"When your furies attacked us, they said you were missing something. We think that Zeus' bolt and your Helm might have been stolen by the same person so we came to see if you had any information, Lord Hades" Annabeth spoke, "If you know something, please, tell us"

"Why would I-" Hades stopped in the middle of speaking and stiffened. He glared harshly at Luke, "Boy, open that backpack"

"Lord Hades, why?" Luke was confused, questioning the orders of one of the eldest children of Kronos and Rhea was not a good idea but he was immensely curious.

"I should be asking you, why do you have it" He spat.

"Lord Hades, what do we have?" Annabeth asked nervously.

"Zeus' bolt" Hades replied, "But my helm, it isn't there" He murmured.

"Zeus' bolt?" Luke's eyes widened, "This backpack was given to us by Ares!"

"The traitor! How dare he take my helm!" Hades was furious now.

"You shall go West and face the god who has turned," Annabeth said, "That's a line from the prophecy!"

Hades sighed, "I'll make a deal with you demigods. I'll let you go but you have to retrieve my helm and give it back to me"

It wasn't an offer, it was an order.

"Of course, Lord Hades" Luke eagerly accepted.

"Do you children have some way of getting back?"

"Yes Lord Hades" Annabeth said.

Annabeth and Luke pulled the pearls from their pockets and smashed them on the ground. They were each engulfed by a huge bubble and they floated up and out of the Underworld.

Percy

Tartarus had made Percy, Damasen and Calypso take his hands and had teleported them to his palace. It was a beautiful structure, the architecture was amazing. Percy remembered how Annabeth loved architecture and wouldn't stop talking about it. If she saw Tartarus' palace she would be in Elysium.

Tartarus had talked to Percy non-stop and Percy had felt uncomfortable. Tartarus might have been his dad, but he was still technically a god. Tartarus had ordered some of his servants to prepare rooms for Percy and his friends (it was safe to say that Percy, Damasen and Calypso were friends, after all they had taken him to their hut and cared for him). He didn't really know how to feel about his new dad. He was extremely glad that he finally had a family. After being stuck in an orphanage for OST of his life, he was happy that he had found his real biological dad. But his dad also happened to be Tartarus, the primordial god of the pit. Tartarus was the father of giants. The gods and demigods alike both disliked him.

"Percy?" They were currently in a drawing room and Tartarus was sitting in a comfy chair with Percy opposite him, "Can we talk?"

"Huh, oh, um, of course… dad" It sounded weird to Percy, but the word rolled of his tongue easily.

"I was thinking we could have a little father-son time. Like you ask me three questions and I answer honestly then I do the same to you and so on" Tartarus said. He sounded nervous.

"Sure" Percy shrugged, it was a great opportunity to get to know his dad better.

"Great!" Tartarus beamed, "You wanna start?"

"Okay" Percy shifted in his seat, trying to think of a question, "Um, what's your favourite colour?"

"Purple of course!" Tartarus gestured to his eyes, "What else would it be!"

"Oh, yeah, I was wondering that, you know, since demigods look like their godly parent like Annabeth and all her siblings have grey eyes why don't I look at you?" Percy questioned.

Tartarus sighed and pursed his lips, "When you were born I hoped never to drag you into this world. I used my power to hide your scent to ensure that monsters wouldn't find and attack you but I think that's worn of over time. In case you ever came to camp I changed the colour of your eyes. If people saw them I knew they would realise you were my son and, well, I didn't want people to judge you or treat you different because of me" He admitted.

"Oh" Percy said, he didn't really know what else to say.

"I'm sorry, if your not comfortable with it. It was only a simple glamour. I can undo it if you like" Tartarus scratched the back of his neck nervously. He wasn't quite sure how to treat Percy, he'd never had a half-blood child before. Hades, he'd never had a child out of love before. The giants were born from his and Gaea's mutual hatred for the gods. But he had fallen in love with Percy's mother Sally.

After that Percy and Tartarus sat there for hours. They chatted about all sorts of things. Percy learnt that Tartarus was claustrophobic and Tartarus found out that Percy really didn't like cats. They stayed there for ages and both felt happier than they had in a long time. They had finally found family.

A/N: Yay! Father-son bonding! Cat lover, please don't hate me for saying Percy doesn't like cats!

My dad's said since I've been 'spending to much time on my iPad writing and reading PJO fan fiction' he's going to take my iPad away tomorrow. I'll try convince him to give it back but I might not post *Sad Face*.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
