Luke

Luke wasn't sure why he had gone to National Museum of Natural History. He'd just felt like he needed to be there. He was wandering around aimlessly when a group of teenagers ran past him. Some ways behind them were a bunch of skeletons. He looked at the group again and saw a girl with blonde princess curls say something to the black haired boy beside her. Annabeth and Percy. It might not have been them. The chances of Luke running into them at a random location were pretty low. Why were they even away from camp? Whatever the reason, they had a mob of skeletons chasing after them and Luke would do whatever he could to help them.

The skeletons were approaching quickly but Luke drew his sword and stood in front of them. The skeletons paused slightly, as if wondering if the demigod before them was worth killing. Apparently they decided Luke would make a tasty demigod sandwich because they charged at him all at once. Luke stabbed one right through it's rib cage but the monster didn't turn into dust. His eyes widened as he realised what the skeletons before him were. They were Spartoi, warriors which only a child of the Underworld could kill.

Luke fought the skeletal warriors to the best of his ability, knowing he couldn't defeat them but trying to hold them of and buy Percy and Annabeth time to get away. He didn't even care if the two he had seen weren't Percy and Annabeth. He wanted to help them get away. Luke was suddenly knocked to the ground and a Spartoi approached him. At least he would die a heroes death. Luke stared boldly up at the skeleton, daring it to strike him down.

Instead of killing him, the skeleton burst into flames. Luke briefly wondered if he was going to be burned to death before the skeleton crumbled into ash. A sword was where the skeleton had just been. A sword that Luke recognised. Luke looked up, Percy was standing there, Riptide in his hand. The other skeletons looked nervously at Percy before one attacked. Percy slashed the sword across the attackers chest and like the previous one, it burst into flames before turning into a pile of ash. The remaining skeletons backed of, unsure of what to do. Whilst they were distracted Percy grabbed Luke and pulled him with him.

Luke ran with Percy until they came across three other teenagers. Annabeth was amongst them. He recognised the girl with the silver circlet in her hair, Zoƫ, the lieutenant of Artemis. She had tried to recruit Thalia into the hunt when Luke, Thalia and Annabeth were on the run. Judging from the silver hunting knives and the bow slung across her back, other girl must have been a hunter. Annabeth was gaping at Luke whilst the other two girls stared at him warily.

"Guess who I found" Percy said.

"Luke!" Annabeth threw herself at Luke and wrapped him in a tight hug. She pulled away, blushing, "What are you doing here?"

Jason

The war games on Friday had gone normally. Normally meaning the first and third cohort used the fifth as bait. Octavian had sent the fifth in first to weaken the defence. Jason, being the best fighter in the fifth, had actually managed to take out a good chunk of the defending legionaries. Fortunately they won the game and the fifth didn't suffer too many casualties. Unfortunately Octavian was the one who got the flag and claimed glory for the first. Whilst Octavian was flaunting his victory there was a flash of light and a regal looking man appeared. The cohorts immediately dropped to their knees, recognising the man as Mars, Roman god of war.

"Rise, Romans" Mars' voice boomed and seemed to echo, "I have a message from Lord Jupiter" Mars surveyed the cohorts, "Recently Jason Grace retrieved the Golden Fleece, Lord Jupiter would like a quest to be sent to bring the Fleece to a secret location" Mars' gaze rested on Jason, "He requests that his son lead the quest"

"Lord Mars" Octavian stepped up, looking even scrawnier in comparison to the buff war god, "We need a prophecy to issue a quest"

"You're the augur?" Mars asked.

"Yes, Lord Mars" Octavian said, "Now if I could just go grab a teddy bear and my knife-"

"Read this" Mars passed a piece of paper to Octavian.

Octavian squinted at the paper and read it out loud, "Um, Jason Grace shall pick one companion and go to a secret location that Lord Mars will guide him to. He shall leave the Golden Fleece at this secret location and return to camp. He shall complete this quest by the winter solstice or die"

"There, you have a prophecy. Go have one of your senate meetings, your good at those" Mars told Octavian.

"But Lord Mars-" Octavian stopped trying to protest when Mars pulled a grenade seemingly out of thin air and began casually tossing it around, "I mean, of course, we shall abide by Lord Jupiter's wishes and issue a quest" Octavian nervously eyed the grenade.

"Good" Mars said, "I must go now, make sure you complete the quest"

Mars disappeared in another flash of light, leaving a bunch of relieved Romans. Relieved because a god wasn't carelessly tossing around a grenade in front of them.

"Well" One of the praetors, Maria, spoke, "We shall be having a senate meeting tomorrow to finalise the details for the quest. Centurion Jason, make sure to pick who you would like to accompany you on this quest"

"Of course, Praetor" Jason was annoyed about having to go on another quest so soon after finishing one but he didn't let it show.

"Good" Maria said.

Later that night, Jason couldn't help but wonder if the girl with caramel hair and the black haired boy had anything to do with the new quest.

Calypso

Staying in the Titan headquarters was unpleasant, to say the least. Calypso had good accommodations (though the room was a bit hot) and was served healthy food regularly. She had a comfy bed and was treated well. What made her stay unpleasant was the fact that she felt like a prisoner. She wasn't allowed to leave her room and when she opened her door once to try sneak out and explore, she found that there was a guard stationed outside. She rarely spoke to anybody for the nymphs who served her food were completely silent.

One time when a nymph opened the door she had tried to run for it. She had kneed the guard in his 'special place' and ran down the corridor. She got lost though and was eventually found. After that incident the food just appeared in her room. Sometimes her father, Atlas, would come and talk to her. He tried to convince her to join the Titans again but her answer was always the same. She always said 'I'll think about it'.

Sure, the gods had chucked her on a deserted island and cursed her then Zeus had thrown her into Tartarus but the Titans would just destroy the mortal world completely. She didn't want that. She didn't want to refuse because they would deem her a 'traitor' and torture her. They would probably make her father do it to.

Calypso was going crazy being cooped up inside for so long. She had always loved the outdoors and longed for a breath of fresh air. If swearing allegiance to the Titans meant she could go and tend to a garden, she might just consider their offer. Maybe that was their plan. Drive her insane so she would do anything to get out of her stuffy room. Calypso could only hope some help would come and rescue her from her prison before she actually went crazy.

Artemis

Holding the weight of the sky was exhausting. If Artemis had been a mortal she would have been crushed as soon as the sky touched her shoulders. An extremely powerful demigod might have been able to hold it up but only for a few minutes. At least the girl didn't have to endure the pain anymore. She had recognised her, Calypso, Atlas' daughter. Artemis had been born after Calypso had been sentenced to her fate but when she first heard of it she was disgusted. It was cruel, cursing a poor maiden to fall in love over and over again with selfish pigs of men who would never love her back.

Artemis felt a sharp pain in her back and groaned, trying to shift the weight of the sky. She almost felt sorry for Atlas. Almost. Atlas deserved his punishment. He'd probably tricked his poor daughter into taking the sky from him. Men. They were all the same. They made girls fall for them and used them and when they were done they would break the girls heart and toss her aside. All men were the same. Except for one.

A/N: It's Thursday. Why is that important? I don't know.

The next time I post on this story will probably be next Wednesday or Thursday since I'm back at online school next week (unless I feel like I really want to write more of this story in that case the next chapter might be out sooner).

Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
