After what seemed like forever to the little aninoid, the door was opened and Ronald walked in holding an old looking chest harness and one of the slip leads the shelter used. Ciel puffed up and hissed as the man got closer, "Come on Ciel, I don't want to fight you." He already sounded defeated.
The was a small game of keep away as Ciel skillfully dodged the other, but with limited space, he was eventually cornered, locked into the harness and led out to the front waiting room. The raven haired man from before, holding file and shaking Williams hand, a clearly fake smile on his face. "Here ya go sir, good luck with him," Ronald chimed as he handed the lead to Sebastian.
Sebastian took it happily, "Thank you for all your kind advice and help today."
He looked down at Ciel who was staring at the front doors, ears standing tall, "You ready to go kitten?"
Ciel looked up at the man with cold eyes, " I'm not a kitten pervert."
Sebastian looked at him taken back, while William gave a soft chuckle, "Good day sir, we wish you the best in your training."
Sebastian wasn't too surprised when the small aninoid tried to bolt the second he got outside, the harness and his own strength kept the creature from getting far. It was clear Ciel had hoped the sudden jerk away would cause him to drop the lead. "It's not going to be that easy kitten."
He gave the lead a hard jerk making the aninoid stumble forward and actually fall to his hands and knees. Sebastian bent down slightly, his strong hand gripping the back of Ciels neck and squeezing hard and he held the boy down, his voice dropped low almost gravely as in a sadistic voice he sneered, "There you go boy, in the position you kind belongs in. Now if you have any self preservation in your body, I would suggest standing and heeling at my side like a good like boy. Or you can crawl the rest of the way to my car."
The man smiled amused as Ciel scrambled to his feet, he didn't try to run, but the same look of hatred from before burned into the man, "such a prideful look,"
Ciels heart pounded in his chest, this man had switched from a seemingly caring idiot to a cruel monster in the matter of minutes. There was a small tug on the harness as the human started walking, Ciel followed closely like order much to Sebastian's joy.
"Such a good boy, and here everyone had you peg for a feral beast," his voice had gone back to the soft and tender one. He reached out a hand cupping the small aninoids head and pulling him closer, "Now there's nothing to fear, unless you're bad, little one. Mouth off or act out and you'll be punished swiftly. Behave and you will enjoy a very pampered life."
Ciel stared at the ground as they walked, he couldn't help but notice the quality of the man's shoes, his own bare feet acting as a harsh reminder of his place in the eyes of society.
The pair approached a very nice looking black sports car, Sebastian opened the passengers side door and guided Ciel into the seet, he buckled the boy in, tying the lead to the buckle making sure it wasn't going to come undone if the aninoid decided to dart again. He walked around the front of the vehicle, he could feel the cold eyes of the boy on him as he did. Settling into the driver's seat he smiled at Ciel before starting up the engine and pulling away from the shelter.
They drove in near silence, Sebastian occasionally humming along to a song that played over the radio. Ciel stared out the window watching the town streets he was used to pass by wondering where the man was taking him. It became clear that they were leaving the small town as they moved for the small roads to the highway. The aninoids ears dropped as the familiar buildings disappeared into the distance, the landscape changing to rolling hills.
Sebastian gave a small glance at the aninoid sitting next to him, the creature had shifted for the third time in less than five minutes. Being four hours into the drive home it was clear that he needed to relieve himself but was either too embarrassed, proud or scared to ask. With a small smirk on his face he pulled off the road and into a gas station parking lot. "You know you could have just said you needed to pee, Ciel."
The aninoid turned a deep shade of red but said nothing. Sebastian let him out and took him to the gas station bathroom, "Don't take too long, we still have a long drive."
The tall man browsed the small selection of snacks wondering if it was better to get something here or at a fast food joint that would be coming up on the next exit. He kept a close eye on the bathroom door as he browsed, finally settling on just waiting till he had to stop again. The bathroom door opened and he saw blue hair slink around the food displays and toward the front entrance, he walked over and stood behind the aninoid hooking a finger into the chest harness the boy wore, "Where are you headed kitten?"
There was an audible yelp and bi-colored eyes looked back at him, "Nowhere, now let me go."
"Remember what I said about mouthing off kitten," Sebastian replied coldly, opening the door, "Back to the car we still have several hours to go."
Ciel kept his ears pinned to his head as they drove, it was nearing four in the afternoon and the man kept telling him they had a ways to go. He was bored, ansty, hungry and with every passing minute more irritable. He huffed and shifted in his seat, his harness getting hooked on the belt as he did. After a few minutes of unsuccessful attempts to unhook the caught harness, the small creature threw a small temper tantrum, hissing, clawing and cursing as he twisted and turned in his seat trying to get out.
Sebastian watched the tantrum unfold out of the corner of his eye, while amusing it was definitely something he would need to train out of the boy. He placed his hand firmly on the aninoids leg and gave a soft squeeze, "Stop" His voice was enough to stop Ciel in his fit, he sat there huffing still in an uncomfortable position as the harness had remained hooked the entire time.
"Good boy, now we'll be stopping at the next exit for food, sit still until then."
Ciel hissed, but complied, huffing every few minutes his tail twitching in his annoyance. The four minutes it took to get to the stop was too long and he was near another tantrum as they pulled into a small diners parking lot. He was squirming again when Sebastian opened the side door and unbuckled him, the harness immediately came loose and Ciel sat fuming. "Come on Kitten, lets get some dinner."
The aninoid perked up at the sound of food and hopped out of the car, Sebastian held the lead as he let the creature walk ahead of him.
The dinner was slightly crowded, a few patrons looked up as they entered frowning at Ciel but went back to their meals without protest. A waiter came up gave a Ciel a look over before speaking "The Aninoid will have to wait outside, you can order for it but it will have to eat outside"
"That's fine," Sebastian said, taking Ciel back outside, ignoring the protest from the creature. He tied him to a parking post and gave him a gentle pat on the head, "Behave."
Ciel watched in anger as human left, he immediately started to untie the lead. He gave up after a few minutes of struggling, slumping down onto the sidewalk resting his head on his knees. He hated this, all of it.
Sebastian could see his new pet from where he had been seated, the little creature looked so defeated as he sat on the curb. Not that he could do anything about it, but it was annoying to the man that he couldn't dine with his new toy. Seeing the aninoids table manners in a public setting would also help in learning what he needed to do to train. He leaned back in his booth and sighed, pulling out his phone and sending a small message to his fiance. The waiter came back, took his order and brought out his drink. He sipped it in silence, his eyes locked on Ciel as the boy took to another fit of trying to get loose.
The meal was as one would expect from a small dinner in the middle of nowhere, bland and cooked poorly. Better then nothing, but never felt like the money spent was worth it, even to a wealthy man like Sebastian. He signed the check as the waiter came back with the togo order for Ciel, a small chicken strip meal. The tall man thanked the waiter and walked outside. The sun was low, starting to disappear behind some of the far off hills, Ciel was glaring at him as he walked up, "Took you long enough."
"Tch tch tch" Sebastian scolded, "That is no manner to speak to the man who feeds you."
Ciel hissed at him, "You didn't have to sit out here, tied to a pole and wait."
Sebastian raised an eyebrow and chuckled as he untied the boy, "Fair enough, but you need to learn to speak to me with respect, little one. My patience is running thin"
The aninoid rolled his eyes as he stood up, he was mid stretch when he yelped from the sudden pain as Sebastian laid a well placed smack on his rear. His ears pinned as he spun to face the human, "Like I said kitten my patience is running out."
He rubbed the stinging spot, eying the man oddly, most human when harming him, just struck his face or gut. This was more like a parent disciplining a bratty child, Ciel frowned, he wasn't a child. His train of thought was derailed when he finally took notice of the box the human was holding, "Is, is that for me?"
Sebastian chuckled, the aninoids voice had gone from proud and bratty to almost begging murmur, "Yes it is, you can have it in the car."
Ciel let the human take him back to the car and buckle him in, happily digging into the warm meal as they started to drive off again.
Sebastian was a bit taken back with Ciels lack of manners when it came to eating. The small creature had pretty much inhaled his meal and was now licking the salt off his finger. Definitely something to train out of him, the raven haired man had formed quite a long list that would need to be worked on, but it was at least something to do outside of lounging around all day. He watched the boy out of the corner of his eye as he drove, the aninoid finally settling and falling asleep as the night fell.
