A/N: Well, here's the first chapter for Lilith's Perspective. Thanks for the kind reviews! I was gonna save this chapter/ letter for next week but they take around half an hour, if even that, to write so I just thought screw it. Plus it's a change from the usual drama filled stuff I write.
So, till next time,
D.L.D
P.s. the italics at the end represent her writing her own name.
5th Year- Hey, mommy
Hey mom,
It feels weird doing this. Dad's writing down what I say so I can talk to you for once. I've always spotted him writing sometimes and he says they're for you. He says you're in a special place called Heaven. I wish you were here instead of there. Then I'd have a mom like my friends!
All my friends at school have nice moms. They do their hair and choose pretty clothes for them, but dad does that just fine. He's way better then their moms. He knows fun games and likes to spend afternoons splashing in the rain! Plus he plays in the dirt with me.
Other girls call me icky and weird cause I don't mind picking up insects and digging in mud. But I don't mind. I don't like their dresses and barbies. The only thing I have in common with them is that I wear a white hair bow. Dad ties it for me everyday when he does my hair. I'm surprised he can. Most of the girls at my school say their dad's can't do their hair. I'm proud that my dad can. It makes me feel special.
Dad just laughed at what I said. He's says I'm too precious sometimes. What does that word mean? Precious. Dad says it means something valuable. So does that mean my stuffed animals are precious?
Dad laughed again. He says that they can be, but he meant stuff like memories. I've heard about those before. They're nice things like going to the park or the one time I went to the beach with Dad, Aunt Leshawna, Courtney and Bridgette and Uncle Geoff. That was fun.
Speaking of them, Aunt Leshawna and Bridge are ok, but Aunt Court is way too mean. She says I shouldn't be following my dad and rolling around in the mud. She says girls should be clean and enjoy things like the colour pink and princesses. Yuck! I prefer to help Dad do his stuff, like fixing the car or planting stuff in the garden. He calls them life skills and I agree.
Dad says I'm good at drawing too! Though, I don't think so. He says you were good at drawing mom.
When I'm older I wanna write my own stories! That way I can give bedtime stories to kids who don't have a mommy or daddy to tuck them in at night. Every time I tell someone that they smile and say I'm sweet. Well, that's good. Dad says you were sweet and I wanna be like you. I wanna make you proud!
You know, this isn't so weird anymore. Dad was right, it's kinda nice to tell someone your personal thoughts. I wonder who you tell them to. Will you reply to my letter?
I hope you do, mom. I try to think about you everyday but my memories are fuzzy. Dad says that I was too small to remember, but I feel like I've heard your voice before. Maybe you sang me a lullaby before you went to Heaven.
Dad says I have to stop now cause Aunt Courtney's here. Hopefully she doesn't tell me off for being messy again. She seems to really hate that.
Bye, bye, mommy
Lilith.
