After the Horror
thane & shepard - adept sniper - colonist + sole surivivor
He found her unresponsive in her cabin, sitting quietly on her bed, eyes dry, but empty...he wanted to hunt down the bastards that put her trough this, he wanted to hunt down Hacket for the horror he asked her to inflicted on herself, but he didn't. Instead, quietly, he drew her into his arms and kissed her forhead. She snugled further into his embrace, gripping him tightly as if afraid that he will dissapear forever.
„Thane, whatever happens promise me you will survive" she whispered in a choked voice. „Promise me you will fight and you will survive."
He knew he could not promise her that, he was still sick, but he could promise her that no matter what he will always be near her, he will never leave her alone, because he knew her greatest fear, the one that had the power to rob his Siha of her soul: It was that her loved ones will die because of her. So he buried his face in her hair and drew a deep breath wispering in her ear: „I promise you that you will never be alone. I will forever be by your side." Her eyes shone with a fragile light that was geting stronger. Nobody saw this part of her, it was his and his alone. So he drew her closer and kissed her untill she forgot her fear and all he saw in her face was the joy of beeing alive. Alive and loved.
