"Woah. You're a DawnWing right?" Galaxia asked.
"Yeah, I am. You're a WhipWing, aren't you?" The DawnWing replied.
"Yeah, I am. So... I'm just going to go read." Galaxia said.
"Mhm," The Dawnwing grunted. After a while, he suddenly burst out "Oh I'm Ash, by the way. Nice to meet you! What's your name?"
"Oh, uh, my name is Galaxia." He replied nervously.
"Ok Galaxia. My sister, Rosepetal, should be here soon." Ash responded, gesturing at the door.
Just then, a dragoness, who looked a little bit like Ash, burst through the door and walked over to the empty hammock. She looked almost exactly like a SandWing, except she had beautiful, rosy pink wings. She had a long, black snake, with beautiful rainbow patterns, wrapped around her neck and horns, who stared at Galaxia with huge, shining eyes.
"Who is this, Ash?" The new dragon asked with a hint of disgust.
"This is Galaxia, that WhipWing you were talking about earlier." Ash replied, pointing his barbed tail in Galaxia's direction, making him flinch.
"H-hi." Galaxia stuttered nervously, half-heartedly waving his talon.
"Oh hi. I'm Rosepetal. DON'T touch Onyx!" She roared aggressively, gesturing at the monster coiled around her neck.
"I-I wasn't g-"
"DON'T." She roared again, still quite aggressive.
Galaxia just went back to reading his scroll. Wow, he thought. Today I've been knocked out by some random dragon and been shouted at not to touch a deadly poisonous snake. What a day.
As the sun started going down, Alaska opened the door to the room and said, "It's dinner time, so if you want to eat, you'd better come." He walked out of the room and the dragonets followed him.
They came to a long, well lit room with a huge table placed in the middle. There were already a few dragonets seated at the table, and at one end, two teachers were sitting, chatting. Alaska sat at the other end, the head of the table, with Roxanne, and Galaxia and his roommates went to sit next to a beautiful, light blue dragoness.
Ash and Rosepetal introduced themselves to the dragoness but Galaxia was more focused on the food. There were piles of every kind of fruit you could imagine. There was also fish and lots of different types of meat. There were apples, bananas, pears, kumquats, and even a few dragon fruits. Galaxia immediately started helping himself to the fruit, feeling like he was in a dream.
"Galaxia!" Rosepetal hissed quietly "We don't start eating until all the teachers say so."
"Oh." Galaxia responded miserably. He stared at the food, trying to eat it with his eyes.
He almost didn't notice when one of the teachers, a beautiful DropWing roared at the top of her lungs "OK, you can eat now!"
The dragonets immediately started helping themselves to the food. On Galaxia's left was Rosepetal, next to her was Ash, and on Ash's other side sat the blue dragoness. On Galaxia's right was a dark red and black LaceWing, who was scoffing down her meal extraordinarily fast. Galaxia just stared at her, his mouth wide open.
"What are you looking at?" the LaceWing sneered, her teeth showing behind her lips, which were drawn back in a snarl.
Galaxia just closed his mouth and went back to eating his dragon fruit. After he helped clearing the dishes, he went back to his room to lie down. After all, the huge amounts of food he ate made him tired.
He got bored after a while and went down to the beach to watch the sunset. Just after he sat down, a dragon landed right next to him. It was Rosepetal.
"Listen, I'm sorry for shouting at you earlier today. I have a habit of doing that." Rosepetal apologized, surprising him.
"Habit of what?" Galaxia asked.
"Well, I'm kind of aggressive towards anything that's new or unfamiliar," Rosepetal explained "Just instinct, I guess."
"Ok. That's fine. I wasn't going to touch…"
"Onyx." Rosepetal finished for him.
" I wasn't going to touch Onyx. After all, I know he is a dragonbite viper." Galaxia said.
"Ok good. Well, we should be heading back soon. It's getting dark." Rosepetal suggested.
"Good idea." Galaxia agreed.
Hi there! Sorry we haven't posted for a while. Lightfeather was busy on Moonfire and I needed to wait for her to write her chapter. This chapter was written by me, Landfish.
We've decided we will do a test with an OC submission for the story, but if it doesn't work, then it doesn't work. The OCs can't all be hybrids, but you can have a few sprinkled in to join the Academy.
Hopefully, the next chapter will include all the hybrids, their names and abilities. If not, it'll be in the one after that.
Here's the OC submission form. Try to limit it to one or two per review, since the OC thing is still in its testing phase.
OC submission form:
