Zypher: -steps in- Ok, I know plenty of people is out for blood. I know. Haven't updated in 2+ years. There's a long winded story that can be summarized by loss of interest in writing, work, college, so on and so forth. But the passion has been revived thanks to the lovely concept of reading back over my stories and cringing at my writing. Spelling errors and some grammatical nonsense that happened that I never caught now has me going back through every and I mean EVERY story to fix up the chapters and replace them on as well as posting them to AO3 next to plotting out rewrites that are being written ahead of time and when up to a certain point, will be posted to both here and AO3.

But that's not why I'm here. At the moment, I'm currently editing for Dark Saga. As I did so, and thanks to the kindness [and not having a pissed off rage fit] of someone who sent me either a review or a PM when I had them on [had to turn them off cause I can't stand the "Why haven't you update in X months!? We want new chapters! I'm getting pissed with you!" Sorry but this kind of pestering was why I had lost interest for the time allotted. You can't make everyone happy sure but throwing threats if you don't update isn't how you motivate someone. That just makes them depressed that they can't meet your demands when in a terrible slump.] I learned that the particular story suffered some continuity errors that my younger self stupidly overlooked so that means a few things have to be changed to make the story flow back on course.

First is that I had to do a check up on a name based on Japanese to English comparison. As I was doing so I learned of my first error. Bandit Keith, who suffered a Penalty Game from Pegasus [who's 24?! I swear back in the old days I thought he was like...30!] after Duelist Kingdom in the manga, actually died from it which meant chapter 29 SHOULDN'T exist cause he's dead. But as stated in end notes of a chapter, Bakura and Crimson needed a catalyst for the Memory Arc so I had to run with it [which led to me nearly banging my head of how to get that also vital piece of detail to work]. Reason behind this is that I had used the anime version of the DDM side arc via votes from the readers [before we had the poll system], so I didn't read too much into it. Again, younger stupid self mistake. To make everything flow again, I'd have to write the entirety of DDM to be based off the manga to cut out Keith's miracle revival since same course of events happened in the manga, except Otogi's father is an idiot, Jou doesn't beome Otogi's "dog" but Bakura DOES make an appearance to still place his sliver of soul into the puzzle as he does per the battle with mind controlled Keith in the anime. If people agree to this needing to be done, I will take out Battle City and the anime arc of DDM to fix and upload with proper content. Since I'm editing, imma leave it there for now but will gut my inner self for that mistake while I'm working.

And speaking of Pegasus, this leads me into the second continuity error. Back in the day for all my older readers that I'm sure aren't with me because I fell off the face of the planet with updating, I had made polls or asked questions about adding the additional arcs from the anime into my story. This pose a few problems since events in the manga can't quite seam up to the anime too well so that requires a LOT of plot development, figure out who goes where and who does what and when does character A do something to character B, C and D to make the anime arcs flow in with the plot of the story I have going [thus leading to the first continuity error listed above]. As such, Pegasus [as much as I despise him] held a very BIG part for a future arc that dumb younger me looked over and should be gutted for it. For the Doma/Waking the Dragons arc, Pegasus is needed to reveal the Paradius company and what Dartz was planning behind it along with giving a vital card needed for the climax of the arc. However, as written already via manga events, Bakura killed the man to get the Sennen Eye [as well as a body]. Anime, he fell into a coma to wake up later to be useful for said arc. And to avoid making a horribly broken, deus ex machina miracle revival happen thanks to dumb younger self, I can't plot around his death to still get the information and card to the other so therefore, despite old poll results, I have to cut Waking the Dragons [and in turn Grand Championship cause they had to travel to Dartz's location and ran out of money to head back home which led to them joining KC Grand Prix in the first place] and head straight to Yu-Gi-Oh R once I'm up and running again.

As for said anime filler arcs, now that I'm not young, dumb and stupid, I WILL look back into them for continuity for the rest of this story and so far, I can still keep to Noah's Virtual World, Capsule Monsters and maybe the movie [only a maybe due to the fact again, Pegasus played a part and he's not going to have a miracle revival but considering this story is my interpretation with demonic dark sides, I could make the Pyramid of Light appear by other means]. Of course, this may not happen cause I did go through a few moves over my silence and things get lost in moves. I need to locate said DVD so the movie becoming a chapter is up in the air but still a long ways to go.

So yep. This is my note chapter. I would post note chapters before but back in the day, note chapters aren't considered real chapters and FF was anal about having note chapters and could lead to possible extermination of a story and to lose a story over something as simple as I need a way to inform people about what goes on with my life, I never added them. Thus most of my updates in life were posted to my profile. Not everyone reads the profiles so that left many of you in the dark about where I was, why I haven't updated and why the easiest form of communicating with me on FF was never available. I love you all...but as a person, I have to admit a pet peeve is to get told that you need to do something and stop wasting time making people wait. A good story takes time and if this note chapter isn't the result of why I needed the time to sit down and reflect, even if it was for 2+ years, this story would've been the result of a broken plot that suffered two major points of continuity errors that someone would've eventually caught and made it known pretty viciously in a review if I had kept going. I never quit writing, I didn't think to abandon the stories. As a writer, I'm also a reader and if there's one this I hate is when an author quits a story when you're really getting into it. Yes it's understood that growing up means growing out of your fandom and losing interest but when you have that one really good story that you want to see finished, last thing you'd want to see in your inbox is a message saying that I've abandoned my work.

For the years I was gone, I never forgot these stories, I just couldn't bring back the plots I originally had with them since most were at the top of my head at its peak with a beginning, middle and end. As I started, the middle and end became lost to me which lead to longer wait times compared to the mini list of updates I had listed in my profile. If I had truly quit, profile would've been wiped with a message there about leaving and all stories marked as completed while discontinued. Seeing this happen to some of my favorite stories always had me on the barest line of I can't quit but I needed motivation. I can't disappoint people still lurking around with my fics by quitting but I just needed my motivation back. And I got it back. Still editing since I got a long ways to go but now with the new concept of writing the ideas down before writing the chapter is making a hell of a big difference and bringing me up to speed of what needs to be fixed and rewritten.

But anywho, if you read this, thanks for reading. Updates will be coming soon but edits come first. If these aren't done, young, dumb me will make my stories break later down the road. And of course, when I do get a chapter going again for this story, this will be removed. I don't know what changed here but hopefully Dark Saga won't decide to take a disappearing act from this note chapter.
