There is a word for those who go and save others. That word is hero. In this world, roughly 80% percent of the population has a power unique to them called a Quirk. Heroes have risen to face off against Villains and protect what is right. However, where this story begins is nothing heroic.

We open to a dark and abandoned factory where Jin Bubaigawara aka Twice was leading a man in a sort of plague mask and three others inside.

"Ugh. The air's practically made of dust here. I'm gonna get sick from all this." the man said.

"Trust me. The guys inside have been sick for awhile now." Twice said.

Twice lead them right to the factory entrance. He opened it up to reveal the entirety of the New Universal Villains.

"Well now...you brought us a pretty big catch, Twice." Shigaraki said.

"That's big talk coming from one of you." the man said.

"I don't concern myself with humans." Freiza said. "Is this man supposed to be of any importance?"'

"My master showed me a picture of him once. He's what they call...a yakuza." Shigaraki said. "The young head of the Shie Hassaikai…to what do we owe the pleasure?"

"This guy is number two of a whole gang? Oh he's so dangerous." Magne said. "How exciting."

"I don't get it. We're all criminals here so how's this guy any different? And who are the other three supposed to be?" Toga said.

"Those three...they're with the Anarchy Kings. I ran into them on the way and thought they could be big names for us." Twice said.

"We SAID we'd meet with your boss, masky." a man in a white and orange costume with a small, pistol-like flamethrower strapped on his waist said. "We didn't say anything about joining up."

"Yeah, you big dummy! You'd think you'd get us that chummy?" a man in a rapper outfit added. "If you think you could get us on that fast, you're even more stupid than your idiot mask!"

"Honestly...just shut up right now." the masked man said.

"Yakuza...they're underground criminals aren't they?" Catra asked.

"Yes. They were almost everywhere before heroes popped up. Once pro heroes and villains rose up, they slowly began dying out and became rent-a-thug's. They're a dying breed. An endangered species." Compress said.

"Endangered Species. Yeah. That sounds about right." the masked man said.

"So why are you here? I get it. You're excited cause All Might's outta the picture now, right?" DaDan asked.

"I am glad that he's gone. But...it's All for One's absence I'm more interested in." the man said. This got the attention of everyone in the building. "The dark emperor who ruled over the shadows. The old timers always feared him. We thought he was a legend till he showed up in Kamino Ward. In the end, he was thrown into Tartarus and the Symbol of Peace retired. Leaving both light and shadows without real leaders. Who will step up to take their place, I wonder."

"You know of my master and you've got the nerve to ask us that? I'm the next leader. Even now we're gathering our troops. Our numbers continue to increase. Once we have enough, we'll turn hero society to dust." Shigaraki said.

"You have an actual plan?" the man asked.

"Watch your tongue. And your tone. I thought you and them came to join up with us." Shigaraki said.

"Like Rapper said, we didn't come here to join you." the man with the flamethrower said. "We're looking for something, and we thought you might be able to help."

"Yes, every criminal in the underworld knows about this supposed key quest." Techno said. "Honestly...you guys are gonna end up dying. Plus, this is based on some bogus religion from a nut. You don't even know if what he says is true or not."

"Yo, don't diss Elder Sigmund! I'm gonna-!" Rapper said before the third man put a hand out from his cloak and stopped him.

"Hey, hey, let's not get violent." the man said calmly. "Look, you can believe what you want, but we need to find that key. If you could help us, we'd be more than happy to-"

"I'm sorry." Freiza said. "But you seem to be asking the wrong people. Not one soul in this very room would risk their lives to find some key to some supposed door."

"Besides...these guys are known for wasting their talent. They had the Hero Killer Stain, Muscular, even Moonfish. All high class pieces and they were all wasted. They don't know how to play the game. They can barely keep hold of a few crazy people. And they want to build an army? What happens when that power spirals out of control? You need direction to achieve your goals. I have a plan. That's why I came here." the man said.

"You brought these idiots here without knowing their full intentions?" Shigaraki growled at Twice.

"Hey… this might get ugly." the man with the flamethrower said to the cloaked man. "If they ain't gonna help us, we should probably go before the sparks fly."

They were about to leave before three strange beings blocked their path in the shadows.

"Oh...so sorry. But you three aren't leaving." DaDan said.

"Oh, look at that, they picked up some pets!" MR laughed. "But don't think you've got us just yet!"

"No. You three will be staying with them. My plan requires money. I can't get it on my own. You two have widespread group recognition. So...you both will join under me." the man said.

"Leave." Shigaraki growled. Magne then suddenly leaped into action and unfurled his giant magnet.

"Sorry smallfry, but we didn't join together to be under somebody else's boot." Magne said, activating his quirk as the man was being pulled towards him. The man however was unfazed. Once the clashed, while the man got hit in the head, Magne however...lost his entire upper half in an instant, killing him.

"What the…?!" the man with the flamethrower asked.

"Big sis Mag..!" Toga said in shock.

"Just keep in mind. You all made the first move." the man said trying to get the blood off his clothes. "Great, I'm filthy. I always hate the aftermath of this."

"Compress, wait!" Scorpia said as Compress jumped towards the man.

"No! I need to seal this guy away!" Compress said as a strange object was shot into his arm. As soon as Compress touched the man, he was shocked. "What? My Quirk won't activate!" he said as goosebumps appeared on the man.

"Don't touch me!" he said before destroying Compress's left arm as he screamed in pain.

Shigaraki then charged at the man as another object was fired but missed.

"Shield!" the man ordered as a grunt came out of nowhere before him as Shigaraki turned the grunt into dust.

"What the hell? Where did he…" the man with the flamethrowers said before the door burst down as more Hassaikai soldiers burst through the doors.

"No way! I swear we weren't followed, guys! I swear!" Twice said.

"You all are late." the masked man said.

"Don't worry, Overhaul. At least we know it works now." one of the members said.

"I don't blame you, Twice. It's obvious one of their soldiers has a tracking quirk. That's likely how they found us so quickly." Techno said.

"We should probably end things here for now. Killing each other isn't productive." Overhaul said. "A death on both sides. Let's take a breather. I also owe you an arm." he said as his group was moving out. "Oh...one more thing." Overhaul said looking to the Anarchy Kings. "If you bring up this key nonsense across this city...I wouldn't mind making you three join the two that died tonight."

"...Fair enough. We know when we're not wanted." the cloaked individual said. "Heatwave, Master Rapper, let's go." he said before being pinned down by a grunt. "Ugh."

"I think you misunderstand. Like it or not, you three are mine now." Overhaul said.

"Just play along for now, guys. Trust me." Heat Wave said.

"Fine." the individual said.

"As for you...we'll cool our heads and try again later." Overhaul said. "Sooner we talk...the better." he said, giving them a business card as they left.

"Come on! This is my fault! We need to go after them!" Twice said.

"Not now. We need to get Atsuhiro to a doctor." Techno said as Scorpia helped up Compress.

"My quirk… it wouldn't activate. Why? ...Damn, that hurts!" Compress said.

"Don't worry buddy. We're gonna make sure you're okay." Scorpia assured.

"Still...that was bizarre. Why didn't it…" Techno said before seeing the shot on the ground. "This thing...it looks like a bullet but there's a syringe on the end. Hmm. Was this it?"

"Ooh, ooh!" Entrapta said jumping down and running over. "Let me analyze it, Techno! Once I get a complete analysis of its properties, we'll know more about the Hassaikais operation! Please, can i?"

"If you insist." he said, handing it off to Entrapta.

"You're just going to let them walk away for this?" Jasper asked.

"Oh trust me. We'll play nice for now. But rest assured...blood will be paid for all that's happened today." Techno said. "Oh, by the way… Anarchy Kings, you call yourselves? Let me give you a bit of a cryptic warning… One of you is not who he says he is."

"Oh, trying to conquer and divide? If you think that'll work, you're out of your mind!" MR taunted.

"I'm not playing games." Techno warned. "You might want to take me more seriously….either way, whether or not you'll heed my warning is up to you. I'll be sure to have fun watching you guys die out one by one."

"Hey! Hurry up!" one of the hassaikai thugs called.

"C'mon." Heatwave said as the three joined Overhauls group. "(Damn….we underestimated both sides.)"

The next day at UA...

"All right. It's nice to have all of you back in class for a change. We also have some good heroes back in class...and Hope." Aizawa said.

Hope gulped. "(I don't think that's a good sign.)" He thought.

"Now...let's get on with what's coming up...the hero workplace study." Aizawa said. "This is a more intense version of your internships. But in all honesty, with All Might's retirement and everything that's happened because of it, they should really be cancelled. Its too soon."

"WHAAAAT?!" the entire class asked.

"What? But some of us already have them picked out." Eijiro said.

"But given why we had to move into dorms and join heroes, it makes sense." Kaminari said.

"Haha!" Bakugo laughed at them.

"...you're laughing just because you can't do one." Hagakure mumbled.

"However, others say we can't raise strong heroes without giving you these steps. And with that in mind, you have to be selective. Pick ones with proven track records, otherwise you won't be taking part." Aizawa said.

"DAMMIT!" Bakugo yelled.

"Bet you wish you passed that exam now, huh Bakugo?" David asked.

"Oh, when I get my license I'm gonna end you, Frosty Sword!" Bakugo shouted.

"Why are you egging him on? You know he can blast you to bits, right?" Tsumugi asked.

"Shirogane! No egging on Ishihara." Aizawa said.

"Sorry sir!" Tsumugi said.

"Besides, we've just taken Big Mom and Kaido. Simultaneously, in fact. I feel like we can pretty much handle anything at this point." David said.

"Just don't let that confidence give you a swell head." Tsumugi said. "Now I just need to figure out where I should work at."

"Hey...you should go for Gran Torino like me and David did." Hope said.

"Except we didn't. Umbra and Illuma taught us. Besides, he's got better things to do than mess with us." David said.

"I actually have an agency lined up to check out. I'll be checking out the Nighteye Agency." Tsumugi said. "If I'm not accepted there, there are others."

"Wait, Nighteye? Sir Nighteye?!" Hope said in surprise.

"You know him?" Mermista asked.

"He's only All Might's former sidekick." Hope said.

"Huh. Didn't think he had one." Mermista pondered.

"If you'll go there...I have an idea about who else is planning on making the same move." Hope said, looking at Izuku.

"If he was All Might's sidekick, he would know about One for All...meaning he could help improve him." Himeno said.

"Speaking of which, which agency did you go with, Himeno?" David asked.

"It's an agency from one of the top ten heroes in Japan. It's the one run by the dragon hero, Ryukyu." Himeno said.

"Ryukyu, huh? I've heard quite the rumors about her. I think you'll work really well with her." David said. "As for me…"

"Hey, David. Would you mind if I tried to get in on yours too?" Hope asked. "I think I'd improve better if I follow in your...what's that word...example."

"Sure. With myself, Himeno and Tsumugi going to different agencies, I can use the backup." David said.

"Thanks, bud." Hope said. "If I wanna get better at not being singled out, this is the best option for me. "And Mermista, I'll be glad to have you with…"

"Yeah, gonna stop you right there. I'm not going with you. Going with her." Mermista said, pointing to Himeno.

"I see. Why's that?" Hope asked.

"Be honest, if I go with you, you gonna actually focus or are you just going to psyche out like you normally do when all of us are near you?" Mermista asked.

Hope's eyes focused.

"Look… I get why you wanna be around David. But it's not gonna help you if I cling with you. You gotta work these problems out yourself. You made the right call following David, but don't bring me into it. Let me go my own way, and you go yours." Mermista explained.

"...Okay." Hope nodded. "I hope you and Himeno do great with Ryukyu."

"I'll do fine. Just worry about yourself out there." Mermista advised.

Time passed for these heroes until the weekend finally arrived as Tsumugi was standing outside the Nighteye Agency as she saw Izuku and a student known as Mirio Togota arriving.

"This is Sir's agency." Mirio said.

"This is so incredible." Izuku said.

"Well keep it loose. But not too loose because Sir's sort of a strict guy." Mirio said. "Oh...Shirogane's here too. Oh, so you're the other mystery student coming to see him. Just try not to be a cos-play-cat."

"Wow...that was incredibly bad." Tsumugi said.

"But there is a side of him the press has no idea about. If you two want to get employed by him at all...you gotta remember this. You have to make him laugh." Mirio said.

"Easier said than done, I guess." Tsumugi said.

"Wait, what's that supposed to mean?" Izuku asked in confusion.

"Exactly what it sounds like." Mirio replied. "He seems stern, but he really values humor for some reason. I think it's supposed to be ironic. The most I can do for you guys is introduce you to him. Sir's the one who will decide if he can use you two. So you two are on your own. Well...this is it." he said as they stopped at a door.

"Here goes…" Tsumugi said. "Excuse me but...huh?" she said as they saw a man in a gray suit standing over a strange device that tickled a girl with light blue skin as she was forced to laugh.

"So, is this how loud and energetic you can really be?" the man asked.

"Stop it… please! Ahahahahaha!" she laughed.

"What's...going on?" Izuku asked.

"That's his sidekick, Bubble Girl. Guess she didn't make him laugh. That sucks." Mirio said.

"And what are you two wanting here?" Nighteye said.

"Okay...we just need to make him laugh. Well Izuku? Huh?" Tsumugi said as she saw him imitating All Might's face.

"Greetings! I am Izuku Midoriya!" Izuku said.

"Oh no." Mirio and Tsumugi muttered.

"What is this? Are you ridiculing All Might?!" Nighteye asked.

"(No… he's not funny!)" Mirio thought.

"(He's done for.)" Tsumugi thought.
