Im so sorry for being gone so long, time became a blur and i thought it had only been 2 weeks since i last posted not almost 5 weeks. Also me and my family have been cleaning out and painting my house so that takes a long time as is. Anyway, here's a breather from Deku angst because I have had this in mind for a while and wanted to write some nice things for once. Anyway, enjoy!
It all started off ok. Just a few nice rounds of Mario Kart and then off to bed for the night, right? Well, that's what everyone thought before a certain lighting bug went and caused a campus wide black-out.
Let the author explain while she takes you on a blast to the past 3 hours before this started.
"CRAP! BEATEN AGAIN!" the electric teen, Denki Kaminari, exclaimed.
"Hey man, it's ok. No need to get riled up about it." Eijiro Kirishima teased.
Kaminari pouted and crossed his arms with a huff, "Easy for you to say, 'cheater'."
"Oh wow, you lost again Kaminari?" Hanta Sero asked while walking into the common area with Mina Ashido and an ever-angry Katsuki Bakugou in tow.
Denki didn't answer, instead opting to slap Eijiro in the arm and demand a rematch. Almost everyone's sweat dropped at the command, however, Bakugou just grunted in annoyance. Why was he stuck with these idiots?
"Uhh, ok... if you insist, I guess we can play one more round. It's getting late anyway, everyone else already went back to their dorms." Kirishima said, a finger coming up to awkwardly scratch his cheek.
Placing his hands on the controller and facing the TV again, round 5 commenced.
"UUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHH! AGAIN!"
"I think it's time to put Kami to bed, he's getting crankier and crankier by the second. He's almost Bakugo-level now." Ashido yawned, Sero and Kirishima nodded in agreement at her words.
"Yeah," Eijiro put his hands on the lighting quirk users shoulders and had him stand up to guided him across the common area,"Time for you to go to sleep man." A grumpy, tired Denki tried to fight back and tell them that he was fine and could play another round, but the efforts came out fruitless as the spiky redhead kept pushing him to the elevators.
Despite Sero and Mina's best efforts to get him to stay, Katsuki clocked out about 30 minutes ago because he 'wasn't going to stay up late for crap like this'.
Walking into the elevator and going up to Denki's floor, the ride was kind of awkward so they were relieved when the doors opened again. Finally arriving at Denki's dorm room Mina opened his door and let Kaminari flop onto his bed and almost immediately fall asleep.
Sighing, the three remaining friends all went back to their rooms and called it a night. But little did they know this night would get so much longer.
4:02 AM, the clock read. Why was he up once more at such an ungodly hour for something that didn't involve late night studies or video games? Simple, Denki wanted water.
Opening his door and making his way to the stairs, he opted to not use the elevator because of the amount of noise it made. Though he did bump into things a lot. After a few minutes of near-death occurrences where his foot missed a step or two and playing dodgeball with the corners of walls to avoid stubbing his toe, he dubbed his journey into the common area successful as he stepped off the last stair. Making his way to the kitchen and opening the dish cabinet, Denki grabbed a glass and filled it to the brim with water. He then began drinking it greedily to soothe his dry mouth and throat.
After his thirst was properly quenched, Denki set the glass into the sink, too lazy and disoriented to clean it, and turned around to make his way back upstairs only to be met with glowing green eyes with shining red pupils staring at him right in his unsuspecting and tired face. Jumping back in fright and accidentally letting a small spark escape his finger tips. The electricity ran into a power socket that his hand just so happened to be near. The lights outside of the glass doors that leaked a yellow glow into the dorm building shut off and the glowing of this creature's eyes with it.
"Kaminari? Are you ok?"
Ok, first of all.
"WHAT THE FRICK, MIDORIYA!?"
Fear now changing into exaggerated anger at his classmate for scaring him so late at night.
"Huh?! What did I do?!" The greenette shrieked in confusion.
"YOU SCARED THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUTTA ME, DUDE!"
"Wha-HOW?!"
"YOU AND YOUR GLOWING CAT EYES THAT'S HOW!"
"My what?!"
"Forget it, just LET ME KNOW WHERE YOU ARE NEXT TIME!" Denki finished, puffing out his cheeks in frustration.
"Right, sorry about that..." Midoriya's apology trailed off at the end.
"Um, Kaminari-kun?"
The lighting user looked at his classmate.
"Yeah?"
"What happened to the lights?"
Oh yeah, the lights were out.
What now?
Shota Aizawa was so tired of his students.
When the power went out, at first he thought it was a simple malfunction with the system, but UA usually had very dependable power generators so that wouldn't be much of a valid possibility. His second thought were villains, but again, that wouldn't make sense since the League of Villains are rather fond of making things flashy when they commit their crimes. So after a few more seconds of thinking through the possibilities, Shota settled on the one that seemed the post possible. His students caused this, you know, the ones that were supposed to be asleep. Gosh, why were any of them up at- what..? 4am? Then again, they're his students and really, he should be the one to know why they would be. He was so tired.
And that how Shota ended up in the commen area of the 1-A dorms, talking to the very few students that were awake. In all honesty, he expected more of them to be up and about.
"So let me get this straight..." Shota pinched the bridge of his nose in a clear sign of annoyance. Sighing, he continued, "Kaminari, you came down to get water and Midoriya scared the 'life' out of you somehow and you ended up short circuiting the outlet that just so happened to be directly connected to the generator that powered the whole school... out of fear."
Kaminari and Midoriya nodded, both red faced from embarrassment. Uraraka gave a tired chuckle as she sat on the floor next to Midoriya and Jiro was very close to passing out because of the onslaught of laughter she was holding in because the stupidity of her electric boyfriend and his fears.
Sighing once more, Shota stood up from the couch he was seated on and moved towards the doors.
"The staff will worry about the electricity problem tomorrow, so classes are canceled. Do whatever you want just don't go off the school premises without permission from a teacher first. That's all I have to say. Now get some sleep, problem children."
Shota half waved them off.
They all left but not without a 'thank you Aizawa-sensei'.
Gosh, he was tired of his students but that didn't mean he didn't love 'em like they were his own.
