Training, Army Training Sir.

For the members of Wellington Company, otherwise the Friends of Potter and Assorted addons were sent thru the most intense 8 weeks of their lives. Forced marches, living in the field, getting dirty were the task of the day for the first two weeks, Usually Drill and Ceremony were in the first phase of Officers Training, yet it was determined, and SGM Roy agreed that that can be dealt with when he was deployed to Hogwarts for phase 2 in September. He was told to expect to be appointed DADA Instructor after the Removal of Deloris Umbridge which ONI had determined would start the year. The method of the removal of her was still being determined, yet a 7.62x10 NATO round might be used and the Selwyn Family being billed for the use of the Ammo.
During the first two weeks, the wands of the Company were taken into storage. Harry had commented that a wizard without a wand was a sitting duck if things went pear shaped. They were issued a set of Handguns the FN-5.7 MM and the FN-P90. These were new to the NATO loadout. Using a small Rifle Round, the Teflon covered round was lighter and had more stopping power than the usual 9 mil NATO round. Developed for close quarter actions. It was established that a spell had an effective range of 40 meters if the caster was good. The weapons they trained on had a zero of 300 meters. Dan Granger called his team to serve as OPFOR in several team exercises. From the start it was a unmitigated disaster. The terms ducking and cover fire were taught to them from having to deal with the repeated drubbings the team gave the wizards.
However, the term they could be taught finally resonated in Harrys group and on the end of the second week they won a battle for the first time. Griphook there as a observer was rolling on the ground laughing and said, "Took you long enough. It took Col. Potter and the Cadre four days in time compression to figure this out." That got the company a wakeup call, that this was serious and real.
Training continued with learning leadership, making they bodies and minds razor sharp. They also learned the last several years of the DADA Coursework where they at the end of the 6th week took the OWLs and NEWTs test from the ICW standards scoring grades between O to O++ With Honors. Additionally, they took exams in Potions, First Aid, History, and Military Science, by ICW proctors and passed them also with about the same scores. It was during the 6th week that the Ministry tried to mess up the works. Two Dementors were sighted in the training area. The foul creatures learned that not just a patroni could stop them in their tracks. Cold lead could do so also. The creatures returned to Umbridge riddled with holes,
British Machine Gun holes. When Dolores saw what happened she sent an owl to Harry charging him with using magic in front of Muggles and was going to have his wand snapped. This set up the first showdown at the Ministry.
MINISTRY OF MAGIC
10 AUG
Fudge and Umbridge were smiling soon they would silence this liar and maybe be able to get back to running the ministry. They were in serious financial difficulty. The goblins were stonewalling, the Nome's were not going to lend unless they got an authorization, and worst Karbaldi the Vampire bank said that all laws regarding racist control laws of magical beings would have to be repealed. If Potter was neutered, then life could get back to normal.
That is what they thought. Just before 8am when the hearing was to start, the doors closed and locked to prevent Harry to enter on time, the Kangaroo Court prepared to start the process when the door started a tapping sound. Augusta Longbottom who was there this morning, heard the tapping and remembered morse code she learned during WWII from her late husband.
'Stand Back.' This put the fear in her and dragged Amelia who was sitting next to her down on the deck,

Out of the splinters of the destroyed door ran in about a dozen people, all dressed in Black Nomex suits covered in Kevlar, each pointing a weapon with laser designators. Some of the Wizards tried to pull their wands and were disabled quickly. Fudge said, "Stop who are you."
One Man in a ski mask (They were all wearing masks to cover their identies said, "All you need to know is that I am RAINBOW 6, your actions today are prohibited by royal command. If you proceed with this sham, I am authorized to eliminate you forcefully."
Umbridge replied "Potter sent you, didn't he, that liar, gets muggles to do his dirty work…"
Another man came forward and backhands Umbridge, then says "I do not care who have a beef with, However I am RAINBOW 5 and you are in my book a Terrorist. And if Six gives me the command you are the first with a bullet. We have intel on all of you, we know about you. And a day of reckoning is coming."
Amelia got up and said, "Move for dismissal."
Augusta then quickly seconded. The rest of the panel seeing their lives flash before them seeing four members of the dark sided members deal (2 shots, 1 head and 1 heart, agreed."
Fudge looking defeated said "Case Dismissed" as he ran out of the Courtroom 10.
HEREFORD (Rainbow HQ)
1 hour later
"That was an experience, are they stupid or not caring. They think they can silence a hero of our country because it causes the government of the time distress. I wish you had given the order John." Alistair Stanley, Rainbow 5, aka the Deputy Commander said to his friend John Clark, leader of Rainbow.
"This is not our concern yet until November. President Ryan and Prime Minister Major are playing the long game on this. Were hoping the house of cards falls on themselves. We were just for show today." Replied Clark.
Ding Chavez leader of team 2 looked at both and said, "This is a sniper work, you wait to the perfect time and take the one shot." Ding a former US Army Ranger in his past knew that well.

ONE WEEK LATER
One of the final tests that was part of the program was the SERE and forced march of 20k in a timed environment. The SERE Test portion was an interrogation of the cadets by masked OPFOR personnel. The SAS Personnel forgot two things.
After their exams, the cadets got their wands back.
They had planned for the revenge of the wizard for many weeks, and when people like Luna entered the Interrogation tent, SAS Troopers became Bunny Rabbits, Cats, Dogs, Donkeys, and many other animals. Bill Weasley won the pool as he turned SGM Roy into a Tabby Cat and hung a sign stating, it was a gift for Professor McGonagall. Fred and George were join Runners up by turning Corporal Hear no Evil and Sgt See no Evil into Ferrets.
After that mess, which was humbling to the SAS trainers, the 20k forced time march was a breeze. They got notified of which unit they would be attached to. Section (M) of the Blues and Royals Regiment. While Harry commanded the unit, Princess Anne, The Princess Royal, was the Regimental Col. of the unit, and she had to be read in by her mother about the Code Merlin file. You could hear Anne signing a Scottish dirge about the Dead men walking from what she read.
