Chapter 2 A Double Threat In One
A.N. – Well I think it's time the Lyoko Warriors know of Xana and Anti-Xana's return. So there will be an activated tower and fights in Lyoko on the desert sector. Time for our two threats to become one!
Josh Xana – I'm glad that you find this interesting. My stories have gained more support then I ever expected from around the world. So I'm pretty sure a lot of people find my stories interesting.
Short Summary – The Lyoko Warriors head across the desert sector to find the source of the unidentified signal. When they get there, they find a red tower. They know that it is activated, but by who. Jeremy knows that if Aelita deactivates it, he can get the signal and reveal the horrible truth.
Disclaimer – I do not own Code Lyoko. I am just a fan of the show.
Desert Sector
The Lyoko Warriors continued to go across the desert sector with no signs of any kind of activity. With no signs of any resistance, they began to wonder what could be causing this disturbance.
"So, who do you think it is this time?" Aelita asked.
"Good question. It could easily be Xana. It wouldn't surprise us if he survived death a second time" Yumi said.
"What about Anti-Xana? He easily has the same qualities of Xana, so he could have come back" Ulrich said.
"But why wait close to a year for a return. For someone as powerful as him, I would come back instantly" Odd said.
"Maybe he was waiting for us to take out Xana so he wouldn't have any trouble taking us out without an ally" Jeremy said.
"I could see that. That asshole did everything possible to keep us from using Xana's powers to help us win" Aelita said.
"And now without Xana, Anti-Xana has a big advantage over us. We better be on our best game, because eventually this will turn into survival" Yumi said.
"Let's just get to the source and we'll go from there. Let's not jump the gun" Jeremy said. "According to my calculations, the signal's source is on the other side of the canyon."
The Lyoko Warriors headed to the canyon and continued to cross to the other side. But they were also being watched.
Network Graveyard
"Aelita is on the desert sector. Is your new monster ready?" Xana said.
"Not yet. We need to buy some time so the people can send all the data I need to finish the Seeker. Release the monsters" Anti-Xana said.
"Okay. Let's send some seafood."
Desert Sector
The Lyoko Warriors almost reached the end of the canyon. Once they reached the exit they all stopped and saw the source of the signal.
"Jeremy, we found the source of the signal" Ulrich said.
"And what is it?" Jeremy said.
"A red tower."
"So Xana or Anti-Xana is back huh? Deactivate it and we'll find out who it is this time."
"Easier said then done Einstein" Odd said
"What's stopping you?"
"Our new enemy by sending us some seafood" Odd said as five Krabs materialized in front of the tower.
"Take them out quickly."
The Lyoko Warriors engaged the enemies. Ulrich engaged tow of them while the others took one. Ulrich ran towards his tow and jumped onto one stabbing the eye and then jumping onto the next one, but before destroying it he noticed something different. 'That's not the sign of Xana or Anti-Xana. We have new enemy.' he thought. Before the Krab tried to shake him off he stabbed the eye and they were both destroyed.
"Yumi was jumping avoiding the lasers and started to jump towards the Krab before jumping into the air and throwing one of her fans at the eye. "I could use those kinds of acrobatics in the real world" Yumi said.
Odd was running on all fours before going under it and shooting it and the arrows were going up through the shell going straight through the eye. The Krab exploded and Odd covered himself as the Krab exploded.
Aelita was defending herself from the Krabs lasers. When she saw the opening she tried to throw an energy orb and it dodged it. She then activated her wings and threw an energy orb before the Krab could fire taking her down. And finally all the monsters were defeated.
"Did anyone else notice that the eye was different?" Aelita said.
"I didn't notice anything" Odd said.
"That's because you destroyed your monster from the underneath. You need to see the eye."
"Send me a visual of it" Jeremy said. Aelita sent him an image of what see saw. "That doesn't look like any of enemy's signs."
"What does it mean?" Ulrich said.
"By looking at it, it looks like the two eyes are combined. Like Xana and Anti-Xana are one."
"I thought they hated each other" Yumi said.
"They did, but that doesn't stop someone for combining them and then having a super powered enemy."
"Think it's the government?" Aelita asked.
"Why would they do that?" Ulrich asked.
"To see if we would come back. Lure us into a trap."
"Well if that's the case we'll be in jail in a few days. Deactivate the tower and I'll launch a return to the past" Jeremy said.
Network Graveyard
"Send some more. I almost have all the data I need to finish the monster" Anti-Xana said.
"Okay, what do I send?" Xana said.
"Send in rolling fury."
Desert Sector
The Lyoko Warriors were about to enter the tower, when they heard something in the distance.
"Does anybody else hear that?" Odd said.
Suddenly three rollers showed up and defended the tower.
"Why these guys again?" Yumi said.
"Mind filling me in" Aelita said.
"We had to destroy one in the core in order to stop Anti-Xana."
"Okay, enough said."
The rollers activated their blasters and fired at Aelita.
"They're after you Aelita! Get out of here!" Yumi said. Aelita ran to hide in the canyon. It was a perfect chance for Aelita to get captured, but the Seeker was not ready yet.
The Lyoko Warriors battled the rollers as they avoided their laser blasts. But they were having trouble dealing with monsters, just like the tarantulas.
"How do we deal with three of these things!?" Ulrich said.
"Like we dealt with the tarantulas. Lure them away" Odd said.
Yumi and Ulrich nodded in unison and started to execute their plan.
"Odd, you and me will take two of them" Yumi said.
Yumi and Odd got the two monsters attention and lured two of the rollers away in different directions, leaving just one for Ulrich.
"Hey ugly!" Ulrich said as the roller turned around. "Don't think I left too!"
The roller got into firing mode as Ulrich used his sabers to deflect the blasts before running at him. "Super Sprint!" Ulrich said as he charged at the roller before jumping up and stabbing the roller with both of his sabers. The roller was destroyed in that instant.
Yumi was running from the roller who quickly got into roll mode to gain some speed. "These things are just as bad as the megatanks" she said as she jumped behind it. The roller opened up and Yumi jumped up and threw a fan at the eye destroying her roller.
Odd continued to avoid the roller blasts as he tried to find an opening. He eventually ran up at it and climbed on the rollers backs and shot three arrows at the eye destroying the last of the rollers.
Odd and Yumi rejoined with Aelita and Ulrich before Aelita entered the tower. She went to the center and went to the upper level. She went to the center and pressed her hand against the interface. "Aelita" the interface said before saying "Code". Later Aelita entered the code and it soon read "Lyoko". "Tower deactivated" Aelita said as the lines of code fell around her and tower changed from red to white.
"Return to the past now!" Jeremy said as the world was engulfed in a white bubble.
At the Factory
The group was sitting in the lab to come to the realization that their story was not over yet.
"I guess we'll have to postpone our departure. No way can we leave when this threat is around" Jeremy said.
"What about the signal?" Aelita said.
"I uploaded it to the superscan so if this threat tries anything, we'll be on top of it."
"Who is this new threat?" Ulrich said.
"While analyzing the signal I discovered that this is not Xana or Anti-Xana. It is actually both of them."
"Both of them?" Yumi said.
"Yes, that is why the superscan cannot detect the signal because it was both of their signals going off at the same time."
"But how did they come back?" Odd said.
"I was afraid that they would find refuge in the network graveyard."
"The network graveyard?" Yumi said.
"A place somewhere between the network and real world where all deleted and activated the deactivated programs go to die. I guessing the viruses didn't destroy them completely. It just eliminated them from the real world and network."
"But why are they working together? Are they actually friends now?" Aelita said.
"I don't know, but it wouldn't hurt to keep an ey out for a new enemy, just in case someone is looking for us."
Network Graveyard
Xana and Anti-Xana were discussing the success at the recent mission.
"Now that I have all the data to finish the Seeker, in a few days we will have Aelita here and we will get out of this infernal place" Anti-Xana said.
"Yes, soon our new master will meet us" Xana said.
A.N. – I forgot to tell you that there will be some mystery in this story, just like the show. But this proves that there is someone working against the warriors.
