Chapter 5 A Calm Peace
A.N. – This chapter follows the events in a day of the Lyoko Warriors when they are not fighting. Since they are being technically 'hunted', there normal lives are different from others. Also, my college is ending soon, so if I don't update for a few days that is why. I will be overloaded with work and will not have time to write at the end of my day. But after the first week of May, I will update regularly. Now, on with the chapter!
Short Summary – After the recent victory over the Seeker, the Lyoko Warriors enjoy a day off. Jeremy and Aelita are still decrypting the data from Sector 5 that ties directly to Xana and Anti-Xana's return. Odd and Melissa try to enjoy life outside without being detected. Yumi and Ulrich spend all day together. William and Laura spend all day talking about past Lyoko missions.

Lyoko Warriors Safe House
The day after the Lyoko Warriors defeated the new monster, the Seeker, they spend a day recovering in order to prepare for the next fight. They know they'll have to put in double effort, because instead of stopping the duo's plans, they must once again protect Aelita from the Seeker. Jeremy was the only one not present as he wants to find out what the encrypted data says.
"I wonder what Jeremy has been up to. We haven't seen him since we went to fight the Seeker" Aelita said.
"Maybe you should go see him. He'll really like that" Yumi said.
"He better in order to keep his promise to me."
"What promise?"
"Promise not to be a dick when he's overloaded with work."
"That's our friend Einstein. Xana throws a problem at him, he gets overloaded and then vents angrily about to us" Odd says.
"Well hopefully this time, Xana and Anti-Xana aren't causing any problems."
Aelita puts on a disguise and heads off to the factory to check up on Jeremy.
At the Lab
Jeremy is typing away using different decryption programs to decrypt the data. He thinks he almost has it. Suddenly, the elevator doors open. "Oh, hi there Aelita. What brings you here?"
"Just came by to check up on you" Aelita said.
"I'm fine. No need to worry about me."
"Come on. Can't a girlfriend worry about her boyfriend?"
"I guess so. But so far Xana and Anti-Xana are staying quiet. I think they're trying to figure out how this new monster failed. This in turn gives us time to figure out how to defeat this thing."
"That thing has a name you know?"
"Well whatever, the Seeker, I want to find a weakness in it as well as figure out the plans of Xana and Anti-Xana, instead of the means of escape through you. We know that."
"You think there's more?"
"I think that there's more to their return that we don't see."
"What are you thinking?"
"I think that someone took control of them, someone remade them and relocated them here, or there are acting on their own free will. But we can rule that one out, because there is no reason for them to become friends if they hated each other. There has to be a reason behind this new friendship. I hope the data tells me what I need to know."
Aelita looked at the data decryption program and noticed a problem. "Well you're not going to decrypt anything with that program. Let me help" she said as she typed a command that made the program decrypt the data in a second. "And voila."
"Wow, that's amazing. No wonder I wasn't getting anywhere."
"See, Laura isn't the only Mrs. Einstein."
"You still have the petty rivalry going on with her?"
"No, I was just trying to prove a point. Odd always wants to tease me about her."
"So, you were trying to prove something to yourself?"
"Mostly, I can't let Odd get under my skin."
"But he is a great friend. He is a great listener."
"Yeah, he is someone I can talk to when no one else listens."
"It's just one of his many qualities. At least I don't have to worry about losing you to him. He has Melissa now."
Jeremy looked over the new data. He saw private data connecting directly to Xana and Anti-Xana. "Wow, this data is all private. Hey, what's this video?" Jeremy said a she opened the video.
Video
A mysterious dark figure is at a computer and it looks like he is working on something. Finally he speaks.
"Okay, now that I modified the two minds of Xana and Anti-Xana, they will be friends and they will go back to that central hatred of the warriors. I know they're still alive. They wouldn't go down that easily. Once they are free, they will cause mayhem, and the warriors will come out of hiding. Then the government will arrest them, and I can launch my master plan once they are out of the way. This is going all according to plan."
The video ends
"Well at least we know what their plan is now. Well at least we know how they got resurrected with an altered mind" Aelita said.
"Yeah, now we got two problems too solve. Who is this guy, and what is his master plan?" Jeremy said.
"Whatever he is planning, he is definitely going to use Xana and Anti-Xana to accomplish that goal."
"Yeah, but with their power, they can do anything he wants once their free."
"We just got make sure they can't escape the network graveyard."
"Stopping them from escaping is one thing. We got get rid of them for good or they'll just keep trying. And if we stop going to Lyoko, they'll eventually just lure us there to send a Seeker after you."
Aelita gripped the fact that soon, they're two worst enemies, will become more of a threat then they were before.
Lyoko Warriors Safe House
Odd was getting bored just sitting around waiting for something to happen. He wanted to go out, but he decided to have a nice date with Melissa instead of going out alone.
"Hey Melissa, want to go out somewhere?" Odd said.
"Sure, but you can't leave without a disguise" Melissa said.
"Yeah, well as long as no one recognizes me we'll be fine" Odd said as he put on a nice disguise.
He and Melissa left leaving just Ulrich and Yumi.
"So what do we do now?" Ulrich said.
"I've got an idea. Let's spend today with each other. We don't get these opportunities anymore" Yumi said.
Ulrich agreed and they both went to their bedroom.
In town, Paris
Odd and Melissa were walking in town. They were headed to one of Paris's restaurants. Odd had one in mind as he suggested eating at the one with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
"Here it is" he said as him and Melissa walked in. He went up to the server and said "Hey, do you have a table for two?"
"Why yes we do. Ever since those red things attacked, we don't get many reservations anymore" the waiter said.
"Just give it a few weeks and business will be booming again. The economy is slowly recovering from that mini war" Melissa said.
The waiter lead Odd and Melissa to a table near the window with that view that Odd wanted.
"Wow, you weren't kidding" Melissa said looking at the amazing view. They sat down and ordered drinks. Melissa wanted to know something. "By the way, what do I call you in public because of you know?"
"Oh, well we didn't really come up with code names for ourselves so how about you pick one for me" Odd said.
"Okay how about violet, just like your Lyoko outfit."
"Violet, isn't that a girls name?"
"I mean more like the color rather then a name."
"Okay, I'll be violet."
The waiter came back with their drinks and then they ordered food. They continued to talk more.
"So, what does Italy have that Paris doesn't?" Melissa said.
"Well, for starters I have no record of terrorism there" Odd said quietly so no one else would hear. "And secondly it's my home, so it would be perfect for us. I would know everything and you me could live there forever."
"I guess you wouldn't mind leaving your friends?"
"You all heard them. Last time we'll meet will right before we head to our flights. J and A will be somewhere in America. And Y and U will be back in Kyoto in Japan. Maybe we can have a friend's reunion somewhere, but we got to stay out of France. But first we got to get rid of X and AX before we can leave anywhere."
The food came out 15 minutes later and Odd and Melissa ate their food. Odd payed the bill and he and Melissa walked around Paris for the rest of the day.
Lyoko Warriors Safe House, Yumi & Ulrich's Bedroom
Yumi and Ulrich were both lying beside each other, each unclothed, and it appears that they just slept with each other. Yumi quickly shifted her position to go into Ulrich's embrace. She always felt safe with him, even though she was tough herself. She just didn't wan to be the 'damsel in distress' type of chick. But time and again, she could use someone else's help, and it was always Ulrich's help.
"I wish we could leave now. Be somewhere where no one is looking for us" Yumi said.
""You know very well that cannot happen. Even if our foes were gone forever, we would still be waiting" Ulrich said.
"It's nice to dream though sometimes."
"Till everything is settled, that's all it will be a dream."
"What do you dream about us?"
"I hope that in three years you and me can have a family. And hopefully maybe we'll have the government off our backs."
"Maybe we'll have friends within that can help."
"Or maybe we'll do something for the world that everybody owes us a favor."
"Considering what we've done for the world already, the world owes us about a hundred favors."
They both laughed at this comment. Even though it was a joke, it was just as true. They will always live the life of unsung heroes. But the gripping reality is that the situation is more real now then ever before. After this Ulrich and Yumi went into a make out session.
College Campus William's Room
William and Laura were both relaxing in his room just talking and Laura was interested in the past of the Lyoko Warriors.
"Well, for me personally, I don't know the whole origin. You might have to ask Jeremy or Aelita about that. Maybe Aelita since her father created Lyoko and Xana" William said.
"Is that this Franz Hopper they sometimes talk about?" Laura asked.
"Yeah, he's Aelita's father. He technically ripped Aelita's childhood away from her. He tried to provide her with the best life, but after being hunted by the government for a year after something called Project: Carthage, Franz had to take action to protect him and Aelita after her mother was kidnapped."
"She was kidnapped?"
"Yeah, right in front of Aelita too. They wanted to take her to make an example of themselves. Basically say 'Abandon what you have done and don't fuck with us ever again.' Anyways, these events had a big traumatic hit on Aelita's life and she isn't really open to talking about her past."
"I guess the only family that Aelita has anymore is her mother, but she is missing again."
"Yeah, but it gives Aelita some peace knowing that her mother isn't in some top secret government prison."
"Anything else that you know about?"
"Want to hear about the age old robbery of Ulrich and me?"
"I think everyone knows that story."
"Ever since day one, Ulrich and me had a rivalry."
"Completion or something else?"
"Everything. Competition for Yumi, strength, battle, fights. Even when I was possessed by Xana that rivalry reached new heights. Even though I still had free will, Xana's commands were too strong to resist."
"I didn't know that's how Xana did it."
"Yeah, he gives you ultimate and super human power and strength. It makes you feel good and then you're his puppet unwillingly."
After that Laura fell asleep in William's arms and he decided to take a nap as well
The Next Day
Jeremy and Aelita decided to give a team briefing then next day at the factory. After everyone was at the lab, he gave them the full rundown.
"It appears someone is working against us" Jeremy said.
"Who?" Yumi said.
"We don't know. We found a video from the encrypted data and it showed a figure reprogramming the minds of Xana and Anti-Xana which probably explains why their friends now" Aelita said.
"So now we have two threats?" Ulrich said.
"One until they escape the network graveyard" Jeremy said.
"Our fight still remains the same. Protect me at all costs" Aelita said.
"So what's next?" Yumi said.
"Find our mystery character" Jeremy said.
"And how exactly do we do that?" William said.
"We need more info on the structure of the minds of Xana and Anti-Xana. If we can find an IP address on the codes in their minds, we can trace it to the source and find our mystery man" Aelita said.
"Another trip to Sector 5?" Ulrich said.
"Yes, only this time we got to be on the lookout for the Seeker" Jeremy said.
Network Graveyard
"The Seeker has been modified. It should be more powerful now" Anti-Xana said.
"I believe the warriors are getting closer to the truth" Xana said.
"Then we must get Aelita here as soon as possible."
A.N. – Well they know their master is soon to be found. Continue to guess who the mystery man is. You're first clue for everybody is that it is a real person.
