Chapter 7 A Safe Haven
A.N. – Okay, this is kind of a filler chapter so it might not be part of the main story, but maybe our mystery man has something to do with either one of these locations. Your next clue to his identity is that he knew the Lyoko Warriors. I'm not going to say how long, because that would make it more obvious. I want to leave some mystery, and not have five people say the same thing. Also, for all of you waiting for the network graveyard chapter, within five to seven days that chapter will be up. Only got this one and one more. Anyway, on with the chapter.
Short Summary – After a series of multiple attacks, the Lyoko warriors are getting more stressed with keeping their secret. Each attack increases the risk of getting found. The Lyoko Warriors look for another safe house closer to the factory in order to stop Xana and Anti-Xana faster, but not before another attack.

Lyoko Forest Sector
The gang is in the forest sector trying to reach the tower. Odd, Yumi, and Ulrich are all on their vehicles dodging attacks from the hornets. William is escorting and protecting Aelita. Ulrich has two hornets behind him. He slows down to reach where they are above him. He takes out a saber and jumps up and does a 360 spin attack destroying his twp enemies.
"Nice job Ulrich" Jeremy said. "Go and assist the others."
Ulrich sped off and Odd was in the trees trying to outrun the hornets. He decided to go with another option. Have them destroy themselves. He did some quick maneuvers around the logs and the hornets were destroying themselves.
"Odd, go and get Aelita. Her and William have some hornet coming towards them" Jeremy said and Odd went towards their location.
Ulrich was headed towards Yumi and she was followed by three hornets. "Yumi destroy the two sides and go to the side" Ulrich said. Yumi took out a fan and threw it destroying the ones on the left and right. She then immediately went into the trees and Ulrich jumped off his Overbike and stabbed the hornet in the eye. He landed and slid. "Jeremy what's the status with the tower?"
"They're almost there" Jeremy said.
William and Aelita were running with the tower still outta reach. Odd showed up. "Jump on princess" Odd said and Aelita got on the Overboard. They sped off towards the tower.
"You got company William" Jeremy said.
"Good, some action" he said as he turned around to meet his enemy. He summoned his sword and engaged his enemies. He jumped up and used an energy blast to slice through his enemies. "Too easy. Those two need tougher monster. Aside from the most recent new ones. Those guys seem unfair."
Odd and Aelita were almost at the tower when two hornet appeared behind them. "Aelita back support" Odd said as Aelita threw an energy orb at one. When that one was destroyed she threw another one at the second and destroyed the second.
"Okay Odd. Get me to the tower" Aelita said. Odd made it the tower and Aelita stepped off. She entered the tower and deactivated it. "Okay Jeremy, tower deactivated."
"Okay, I'll rematerialize you" Jeremy said and all of them were rematerialized.
Lab
The Lyoko Warriors returned to the laboratory.
"Good thing you deactivated the tower quickly. Who knows what they were planning" Jeremy said.
Yumi yawned and said "What is it? Like the fifth attack in two days."
"They're doing everything possible to stop us. After almost finding their master."
"I think we deserve a well earned break. All this avoiding the government and stopping Xana and Anti-Xana. Eventually if they find us and we're not here and you are. What are the chances they'll arrest you and shut down the supercomputer with us in it?" Ulrich said.
"Not to mention if we get sloppy and go out without our disguises" Aelita said.
"At any rate, we can't get sloppy" Jeremy said.
"I think we need a new hideout. One much closer to the factory or at least to the passage in the sewer" Yumi said.
"Any ideas?"
"What about back at the college?" William said.
"Not close enough."
"Only option I can think of is the academy" Odd said.
"Going back to the dorms with Jim. Not to mention dealing with Delmas if we get found. And on top of that we're not students anymore" Ulrich said.
"But think about Ulrich. The school has two passages to the factory. If we need to be faster the academy is the way to go."
"Odd's right, but getting our rooms back will be no easy challenge. Let's think on it and tomorrow we'll see if we can find anything better" Jeremy said.
The Lyoko Warriors all headed back home while Laura and William went back to the college. And that night everyone, except William and Laura, were thinking about Odd's choice.
Jeremy & Aelita's Room
Both Jeremy and Aelita couldn't sleep. So Jeremy decided to talk to Aelita about it.
"Aelita, are you awake?" Jeremy said.
"I couldn't sleep to begin with" Aelita said.
"What do think of Odd's choice?"
"I think it could work, but not without serious preparations."
"Not to mention finding ways to avoid getting caught by Jim and Delmas or the government."
"Either way we got to tell Jim and Delmas. We can't take the risk of giving someone else the room and us being in it."
"How do we know we can trust them?"
"Only one way, contact them."
Yumi & Ulrich's Room
Yumi and Ulrich were not sleeping either. Ulrich needed to talk about it.
"Yumi, what do you think about moving back to the academy?" Ulrich said.
"I think that I might have to be a boarder. I can't go back home to y parents, even though I really want to" Yumi said.
"Don't worry Yumi. Maybe someday we will tell everyone, just not now."
"What about you? What do you think?"
"I don't think that it's a good idea."
"Why?"
"Considering the situation, we'll still have to avoid everybody. Plus, the academy is full of students and faculty and we can't avoid all of them."
"But we have to try. If we don't, we'll be regretting it. Just think, we need to be as close to the factory as possible. We can't keep traveling through the city in disguises. And with the constant attacks, eventually we might slip up. With the forest, we have plenty of cover. Also, if we slip into the sewers, we can stay out of sight. It's the perfect idea."
"I more concerned about everyone knowing us."
"That's a risk we have to take."
"We've been taking that risk for six years! Now, we consider showing our faces and telling our secret!"
"Either way you cut this, there will always be a risk. Whether it's risk being seen in town because we have to save the city, or the risk of getting seen by students."
"Well I don't want to take either."
"Well, this time, you have to."
Odd & Melissa's Room
Odd knew that his idea was priceless, but he didn't know how well the rest of the group would take it. He wanted what was only best for the group, but didn't want them to think he was putting them in danger. He also knew that moving right now is dangerous, but when fighting Xana and Anti-Xana, you take that risk. He decided to pitch the idea to Melissa.
"Hey Melissa, what do you think about my idea?" Odd said.
"I think it's good, but awfully risky. But then again, you guys take big risks everyday" Melissa said.
"Yeah, but that's with death. Going to jail is less lethal, but then they'll have plenty of time to plan an escape."
"I don't want you going to jail anyways."
"But we need the rest of the group to agree with me."
"Odd, what do think they are talking about right now? They are going to agree with you. Trust me. When fighting these assholes, sometimes revealing yourself is the only way to win."
Melissa's statement put Odd at ease. And she was right. Everyone was discussing the idea of going back to Kadic. And everyone will accept Odd's idea as it was the best way to combat Xana and Anti-Xana. But what will Delmas say though?
Network Graveyard
In the network graveyard, Xana and Anti-Xana were launching another attack.
"Eventually, we will wear them down and they won't be able to fight" Xana said.
"It's sad that we can't raise our powerful monster" Anti-Xana said.
"Don't worry about the Kolossus. As long as we can still send the Seeker. Aelita will soon be ours."
And with that a tower was activated in the ice sector.
Jeremy & Aelita's Room
Within a half hour everyone was sleeping. But Jeremy was awoken by an alert. He looked at his laptop and the superscan activated showing an activated tower in the ice sector.
"Oh great, another attack. Aelita!" Jeremy said.
"What?" Aelita said half awake.
"Wake up everyone and tell them to get a move on. Another tower has been activated."
"Okay."
"I'll call William and Laura." Jeremy called William. "William, is Laura with you? Okay, get to the factory. Our friends are on the move."
With everyone awake they all headed toward the factory.
Lab
"Okay it looks like this tower is in the ice sector. Get down to the scanners" Jeremy said.
All the warriors got downstairs and with that they were virtualized to the ice sector.
Lyoko Ice Sector
The group all landed in the ice sector waiting for the coordinates of the tower.
"Okay, the path to the tower is in front of you. Follow it and it will lead you straight to it" Jeremy said.
"No vehicles Einstein?" Odd said.
"Give me a minute."
The vehicles materialized and Lyoko Warriors headed to the tower. William super smoked and traveled along side them. Soon they were looking at the tower.
"No welcoming committee? Looks quiet" Odd said.
"Too quite" Ulrich said.
"I don't see anything on my screen" Jeremy said.
"And how many times has that happened? Next thing you know were two feet out and monsters spawn" Yumi said.
"Double the brain power, same old methods" Odd said.
"I'll draw him out" William said.
"Really?" Aelita said.
"Yeah, I'm itching for a fight."
"You've always been a hot head" Ulrich said.
"Everyday I'm settling the score. When he dies, then the score is settled."
"Almost like you knew he wouldn't die."
"No, I though I did. When you said he was back, the score reignited. Now, I'll go wake up the monsters and drag them out of hiding." William walked up slowly waiting for the monsters to spawn. The closer he got the more he was ready. But he was standing at the entrance to the tower and there were no monsters. "Are they sleeping or something? That was too easy."
Suddenly an alert came on Jeremy's map. "William! Megatank! Duck!" Jeremy screamed.
William super smoked just as the monster fired. "Oh there you are. I've been waiting for you" William said as he went to engage the monster.
"Only one? That's unusual" Aelita said.
Suddenly another megatank appeared behind them. "Guys! There's one behind you!" Jeremy said. Odd shot it quickly and all of them were in the open and separated. "All of you are down to 30 life points! Be careful!"
William was able to destroy the megatank and went to assist everyone else. Aelita was all alone. Suddenly the Seeker appeared just as Aelita woke up. The first thing she saw was it's face. She screamed in fear as the Seeker grabbed her.
"Guys! The Seeker has Aelita! Get her back!" Jeremy said.
"I'm on it!" William said as he super smoked to the Seeker. He appeared and launched an energy blast at it. And it turned around. "Hey, drop her!" William said menacingly. The Seeker dropped her and turned its attention towards him. He saw the symbol and aimed for it carefully. The Seeker used it telekinesis to hold William. "Okay, now that's unfair." Yumi did the same with hers.
"Hey freak show! Over here!" Yumi said as the Seeker looked in her direction. She threw an ice block at it hitting the eye and the Seeker fell over dying.
"Guess those things aren't as invincible as we thought" Ulrich said.
"Yeah, but they are sure hard to kill" Odd said.
"We'll talk about later. Get Aelita to the tower" Jeremy said.
Ulrich walked over to her and picked her up. "Come on princess. You can sleep later" he said.
Aelita got up and entered the tower. She floated to the top. She placed her hand on the interface and it read Aelita and then said Code. She entered the code and it read Code Lyoko. The tower was deactivated. "Tower deactivated" Aelita said as the data screens fell to the ground and the aura around the tower turned from red to white.
"Okay, I'm bringing you in" Jeremy said.
Unknown Location
"Okay, now I'm annoyed. Time for the Lyoko Warriors to taste defeat. Next time Aelita will be mine! I guarantee you of that!" the mystery man said.
Lab
"Well we still need a safe haven. We don't have one. I'm thinking within the week we head back to Kadic to talk to Delmas. It will be risky, but we need access to the sewer passages to get to the factory quicker" Jeremy said.
The rest of the group agreed and they made plans when to head back to their old abodes.
A.N. – So they might finally return to Kadic. You got to admit that it is the best place to get to the factory. I would put them at the Hermitage, but they got to get the house, fix it, and with the condition their in, it's not worth it. Anyways, will the mystery man stay true to his word?
