It all happened when a cat named Tom and his owner were living in Dragon Land. Tom had been in several homes & with many owners, but can't seem to stop getting terrorized by a mouse named Jerry and getting kicked out. At least he didn't have to deal with a mean dog named Spike or Jerry's nephew, Tuffy, and he was glad he was far away from his horrible friend, Butch. One day, he & his owner were moving farther into Dragon Land. He got ready and got in the car, but Jerry followed him. Tom launched Jerry out of the car, but he got launched out too. He then boarded up Jerry's mouse hole and tried to get back into the car. But it was too late. The car had already left. Tom tried to catch up, but he was then chased by a giant bulldog. He went to his house and locked the door. He was sad because he was abandoned.
The next day, Tom was woken up by a bulldozer knocking down the house, as a bunch of skyscrapers(tall buildings) were going to be built. He got out of there just fine, but Jerry was still there. Something deep inside Tom told him to save Jerry, so he did. They got out of there alive. They were both sad because they had lost their home.
Being lost in Dragon Land isn't that bad because you can find your way to a certain place easily, but Tom & Jerry had not been in Dragon Land that long. So they had no idea where they were. They spent the rest of the day looking for The School In The Sky, the school where Quetzal works at, he'll know how to help. Little did they know, The School In The Sky was on the other side of Dragon Land. After being kicked out of Bill & Joe's(great restaurant, can't believe they closed), Jerry wanted to show Tom how to survive, but Tom was still very angry at Jerry for all the terrible things he's done to them. Just then, a dog named Puggsy & his flea friend, Frankie, came out of the shadows. Much like Tom & Jerry, Puggsy & Frankie were from the real world, and got abandoned by their owner a while back. Puggsy told them they gotta get together in order to survive out in the wild. He then asked their names. "I'm Tom." Tom said. "I'm Jerry." Jerry said. They both looked at them in shock and said "You talked!" They were shocked because they've never talked before. Apparently in Dragon Land, animals from the real world can talk just like the humans. Tom & Jerry were still a bit angry at each other, but Puggsy & Frankie told them about being friends through a song.
