Chapter 12 Getting Some Answers
A.N. – Now that school is officially over for the semester, you can expect a normal upload rate of 2-3 days. Still moving forward towards the explosive finale. This is an informational chapter. Next one will dive into the plan that Delmas has for our warriors. Remember, even though he is the villain, he is not evil in anyway and has any intentions of abusing Xana and Anti-Xana's power for his own personal gain.
Short Summary – After the Lyoko Warriors move back into the dorms, they start to look for Jim as Delmas would be too well protected to capture. Jeremy however has a program in the works that might even the odds if Delmas reappears. But finding Jim is no easy task, and if he is captured, can they trust him again?
Disclaimer – I don not own Code Lyoko. I am just a fan of the show. I do own Melissa.
Kadic Academy
Within one day, the Lyoko Warriors were able to move back into their old rooms. Without Delmas or Jim there to put on restrictions they moved in no problem. Only difference is that the room situations are different. Odd and Ulrich's old bedroom is now only for Ulrich and Yumi. Jeremy and Aelita moved back into his old room. And Odd moved into Aelita's old room with his girlfriend Melissa. William and Laura remained at the college campus.
After about four hours of moving their stuff between the safe house and the academy, all the warriors were situated. They all discussed what the future missions and what their future may hold for all of them.
Yumi & Ulrich
Yumi and Ulrich moved into Ulrich's old bedroom and it still looked the same as the day they were there.
"Wow Ulrich. You don't change your bedroom situation that much" Yumi said.
"If ain't broke, don't fix it" Ulrich said.
"So, what do you think is going to happen in the next few days?"
"Hopefully Jeremy finds a way to stop them before they get the attention of the government. We've got enough problems here and we need to get out."
"Still find it hard to believe that Delmas was our mystery man. Even Jim joined him."
"Not willingly. Remember, he walked in and he joined under fear of death."
"If that is true, then he is definitely going to give us the answers we need."
Odd & Melissa
Odd and Melissa finished unpacking and started talking.
"Not too crazy about the pink tone, but it will work" Odd said.
"I think it looks cute" Melissa said.
"Yeah, definitely has that Aelita vibe too it."
"That Aelita vibe?"
"Almost anything that Aelita touched it became pink. Apparently you haven't known her since her rematerialization."
"I barely knew about any of you before Yumi asked me to go on a blind date with you."
"Considering everything that has happened before then, it was the best blind date of my life."
"If it comes to war, what will happen to us?"
"No matter what, I'll always be here for you. Even if I have to travel around the world to find you, I'll do whatever it takes till you're in my arms again" Odd said hugging Melissa.
Melissa wanted more, but not that much. So, Melissa pulled Odd in for a kiss and it soon turned into a make out session.
Jeremy & Aelita
Jeremy finished packing while Aelita reinstalled all of his equipment to keep up on the ongoing fight with Delmas still hiding in the shadows.
"Okay Jeremy, your computer is operational" Aelita said.
"Okay now to reconnect to Lyoko" Jeremy said entering a few commands connecting to Lyoko's mainframe from the factory. It was a success. "Good, all commands from before still work."
"Well our lives changed. I don't think that anything else did."
"Except for Delmas. I always looked at him as a good headmaster. Not devious mastermind behind our old foes return."
"To make matters worse, my father showed him the commands that he used to access the network graveyard and rewrite their minds."
"Maybe that means we can rewrite them for our own use. Maybe lure them into deleting themselves. But first we need to get Delmas to give up is control."
"What about what they are planning?"
"If the worst happens, I have a little program that can even the odds."
"We already have our weapons."
"But not your powers. They come with your Lyoko gear and suit. So, I rewrote the program that I used to bring your weapons to Earth. Soon we will be ale to bring your outfits to Earth and you'll have your powers and skills. Nothing will stop us then."
"So soon I'll be able to fly around huh?"
"Yeah, but only in emergencies. Not for play."
"I know. I'm no that irresponsible. We might have a problem with Odd."
"He knows the circumstances. If he doesn't want to get caught, he'll use his gear only for Earth missions when confronting any foes."
"What about our future? Do you think we can put Lyoko behind us after this?"
"It all depends how the government reacts to this. If we don't get caught and they investigate this, then we can slip away."
"We should probably get started with the mission."
"Yeah, I'll send a group text." Jeremy sent everyone a text saying: "Meet up in the factory. Time to get some answers."
After that they all headed for the factory.
Lab
After everyone was at the lab, Jeremy began the briefing.
"Okay, the mission is simple, but hard to execute. We hunt down Jim, and we capture him, and then we integrate him" Jeremy said.
"And where exactly is Jim?" William said.
"I'm looking for him" Laura said searching her tablet. "Okay, he rented an apartment somewhere in Paris. His credit card info just came up. Apparently he rented it for five months. Probably enough time for everything to blow over."
"Most likely" Yumi said.
"William, if your going to help us, your going to need your weapon" Jeremy said.
"Wait, your going to bring my big ass sword into the real world!?" William said.
"Ah, theoretically yes."
"What scared you're not going to be able to carry it?" Ulrich said.
"Luckily we aren't on Lyoko, or I could blow you away, like I did back in the day" William said.
"If you two are done bickering, William's weapon is being rematerialized" Jeremy said.
William climbed down the ladder to the scanner to retrieve his weapon. "Jeremy did you also rematerialize something else?" William asked.
"Yeah it's a sheath so you don't have to carry your sword around. Just a little bonus until you get your gear."
"Alright, cool."
William grabbed his weapon and climbed back up.
"Okay, now time to hunt down Jim."
Paris Streets
The Lyoko Warriors walked the streets keeping their faces hidden as well as their weapons. They headed towards Jim's last known location. They hope he comes willingly and they don't have to play 'the hard way' with him. They finally reached the apartment complex.
"Alright this is it" Jeremy said as they entered the complex.
They all looked in amazement of the apartment building. Gleaming walls and a nice paint job made it look like apartments for the rich. Anyone could come in her and feel like a millionaire.
"Wow, our old friend Jim has nice taste" Odd said.
"Something tells me Delmas set this up for him, to throw us off" Ulrich concluded.
"It almost works. This place is for no ordinary gym teacher from an academy" Yumi said.
"Well time to find out where he is" Jeremy said pointing to the desk. The group walked up and Jeremy talked to the man at the desk. "Hello sir. We have a friend staying here and he wanted us to come and visit him."
"What is your friends name?" the guy behind the desk said.
"Jim Morales."
"Let's see, hmm. Ah yes, Mr. Morales is staying in room 334."
"Thank you."
The group traveled up the elevator and went to Jim's room.
"Room 334, this is it" Yumi said.
Jeremy knocked on the door and Jim said "Who's there?"
"Special delivery for Jim Morales courtesy of Jean-Pierre Delmas" Jeremy said.
Jim opened the door and they rushed him tackling him.
"Miss us Jim?" Ulrich said.
"I never did anything to you. It was all Delmas' doing. He planned everything" Jim said.
"Then you'll give us answers without escaping and you'll let us tie you up" Jeremy said.
Jim was tied up in a chair trying to gain the trust of the warriors back He never betrayed them and he wanted to prove his innocence.
"Okay, tell us everything from start to finish" Ulrich said.
"Okay here's the story" Jim started.
Kadic Academy Three Months Ago
Jim was walking, inspecting the academy as usual, looking for students skipping class since he didn't have too teach for another two hours. He decided to talk to Delmas since every student seemed to be in class. As he headed there he heard some noises. He decided just to head in.
"Jim what are you doing here!?" Delmas said.
"I came to talk to you sir" Jim said.
"Not the time Jim!" Delmas said.
"Why? Are you playing that game again?" Jim walked around the desk an saw the combined symbols of Xana and Anti-Xana. "Sir what are you doing?"
"Something that will get me a lot of money. I believe those five students that believed to perish survived. I just need to find them and lure them out of the shadows."
"So what did you do?"
"I resurrected and reconfigured the minds of two enemies of theirs and they will help us if they can escape."
"I can't be a part of this sir."
"Keep this a secret or I will have you executed!"
"Yes sir. What's the plan?"
"Once they escape, I'll launch phase two. Phase two will consist of getting something that will bring the government to us and bring the warriors to us to give to them and bank on it."
"What are you planning?"
"A giant mech. I need something big and I need time. So for now let's try to keep a low profile."
End of Story
After Jim told the story, the warriors realized his plans and were now on high alert for anything.
"Okay, you're free now. You can come back to the academy. But you tell anyone about us, we'll be back for you!" Ulrich said.
"As long as you stop Delmas, I'll do what you say" Jim said.
The warriors and Jim headed back to the academy.
Kadic
"Well, now we know their plans" Jeremy said.
"But no location on where they are" Ulrich finished.
"You guys wouldn't be ready anyways. I'll have to finish my program quickly."
