Chapter 13 Nuclear Power
A.N. – Time for an attack. It has been some time since one. Only four chapters left in this story. A side note, after this troy is over, I will be writing a fan submitted idea story before I continue this series. I feel like I should knock out the two submissions I have. After that is finished, I will return to where this story ends. So, don't worry, I'm not abandoning any of my ideas. I will see all my stories through to an end.
Short Summary – After finding what Delmas plans to do in order to have the Lyoko warriors arrested and imprisoned, Jeremy tries to get his program operational. While working on it though, a tower activates on Lyoko. While the Lyoko Warriors try to deactivate the tower, Xana and Anti-Xana start to steal nuclear resources and weaponry to construct a nuclear mech to attract the warriors and the government.

Factory Lab
Jeremy, for the past three days, has been working nonstop trying to reconfigure the program for bringing the Lyoko Warriors weapons to Earth, and trying to bring their full outfits into the real world. He knows that when Delmas returns with Xana and Anti-Xana, they will have a giant mech with them. At that point, the Lyoko Warriors will take the biggest risk, exposing themselves to the public. They won't mind going to prison, if Delmas is stopped along with Xana and Anti-Xana.
"Let's see if this works" Jeremy says as he runs a calculation. As the calculation concludes the program fails. "I have to find a way for this to work, or else, the world is doomed as well as us. Delmas has no idea what he got himself in the middle of."
Kadic, The Next Day
Jeremy returned late at night and slept. His mind was still racing though trying to think of ways on how the program could work. Every day e spent working, who knows what Delmas was planning.
Secret Lair
Delmas and his two allies relocated to an unused warehouse somewhere close to Paris. He needed a discontinued and unsuspicious building in order to begin phase two: imprison the Lyoko Warriors. He was discussing on how to construct this mech.
"We need a way that will get the attention of the government first. Only then, when we launch the mech, will the government and the warriors be at the same place at the same time" Delmas said.
"We need the mech to be threatening enough to actually scare everyone" Xana said.
"Weapons too would be great" Anti-Xana said.
"The most threatening we could do, either then size, is use nuclear materials. Nuclear disaster will get both of their attentions. The warriors can't ignore this threat, and the government can't look away from this as a threat to national security.
"How do we do this?" Xana said.
"Time for you to launch an attack. And keep activating towers until we have all the materials, we need to create our mech."
Kadic Mourning
All the warriors woke up the next day ready for another waiting opportunity. As much as they would like to fight, there is nothing to fight for. A disturbing peace would soon be broken.
Outside
All the warriors met outside to discuss their current state. They met in a deep part of the woods where no one would see them, or they couldn't be seen.
"So, Jeremy, what's the status of the program?" Aelita said.
"Still stuck on part one. I can't reconfigure the program to so whatever I did before" Jeremy said.
"Did you try isolating the program and hen reinserting it instead of rewriting everything?"
"No, but I'll try that today. I need to do anything possible before Delmas returns."
"What makes you think he'll return?" Yumi asked.
"Jim's story seemed pretty convincing, and he also seems to be against Delmas. I have no doubt that he wasn't lying to us. Which means this mech is coming, and I'm afraid to see what is coming from it."
"What about our feud with the government?" Ulrich said.
"When Paris is attacked, going to prison will be the last of our worries. If it needs to be, we will expose ourselves to save everyone else."
"Sacrifice the few, which is us, to save the many huh?"
"If that what it takes, the so be it. I'm heading back to lab."
As Jeremy walked towards the park entrance, the Lyoko Warriors started to realize that the mech mission will be their last.
Lab
Jeremy returned to the factory, knowing the only way to save everyone was for his friends to sacrifice themselves.
"I know what I am asking them is rough, but it might be the only way. We can't run forever" Jeremy said. After about working for an hour, Jeremy ran a new calculation. "Okay this calculation will run by itself, so it's time for a break." Just then an alert came up and a tower was activated. "I guess beak time will have to wait" Jeremy said as he called Aelita.
The rest of the group was relaxing in the woods when Aelita heard her phone going off. "Yes Jeremy?" Aelita said. "Okay, we'll be right there." Aelita hung up. "Delmas alert or in other words activated tower."
"Which means he could be running the operation?" Yumi said.
"Exactly, we have to get to the factory."
The group all headed to the park entrance and headed off.
"I sent a text to William. He should be there soon" Yumi said.
Secret Lair
"Alright here are the top key primary locations for nuclear materials. Get them and keep a low profile" Delmas said.
"How?" Xana said.
"Specters as workers." The specters were created outside the nuclear plants. "Now we wait for the warriors to react."
Lab
William and Laura arrived just as the warriors emerged from the sewers and headed to the factory.
"So, what does Delmas have in store for us this time?" William asked.
"The faster we deactivate the tower, the less we have to worry about it" Aelita said.
The warriors arrived at the lab.
"Oh, hey guys. Head down to the Scanners and I'll start your virtualizations" Jeremy said.
The warriors headed down to the scanners and were virtualized.
Lyoko Forest Sector
The warriors landed in the forest sector and all their vehicles materialized.
"The tower is due north of your current positions" Jeremy said.
"We can see it" Ulrich said.
Jeremy saw monsters appear on his screen. "Yes, and apparently your friends the tarantulas are there too."
Four tarantulas guarded the path to the tower. Two were on the narrow path and two were in front of the tower. The front two got into firing position and destroyed all the warriors' vehicles in seconds. Ulrich quickly got in front of everyone else and started to deflect the barrage of lasers coming from the monsters.
"Let me handle this" William said. "Super smoke!" he said as he headed towards the tarantulas. He slashed one and kicked the other one into the digital sea. "Not tough at all."
The warriors continued to head towards the tower. The other two started to fire.
"My turn" Ulrich said. "Super sprint!" he said as he ran towards the tarantulas and jumped up before throwing his tow sabers at each of the tarantulas destroying both and then landing in between where they once stood.
1st Nuclear Plant
The first specter entered the plant and accessed the database and found that this plant contained a huge amount of power. He gathered up nuclear bars from a radioactive room. When the coast was clear he headed back to base to give one part out of the three Delmas needed for the nuclear mech.
Lyoko Forest Sector
"Alright princess, the tower awaits" Ulrich said as Aelita entered the tower.
She floated to the top and placed her hand on the interface. Her name appeared followed by the word Code. She entered the Code and the interface read Code Lyoko.
"Tower deactivated" Aelita said as the tower was deactivated.
Secret Lair
"Our first specter is down" Xana said.
"Activate another tower and send it to the second location" Delmas ordered.
"My turn" Anti-Xana said and another tower was activated.
Lab
Jeremy was about ready to rematerialize them when another alert came up.
"Guys, another tower has been activated in the Mountain sector" Jeremy said.
"Can you give us directions to the tower that will get us there?" Aelita asked.
"Yeah, sure. Hold on. Okay, the tower is 35 degrees North Northwest of your current position."
"We're off" Odd said as they ran to the tower.
When they arrived, they steeped in and went straight to the mountain sector.
2nd Nuclear Plant
Anti-Xana's specter arrived at the next plant that Delmas investigated. The first specialized in nuclear power sources. this next one specialized in mechanical parts that operate from nuclear power. With these two put together, they would have the means to make the mech. The specter steeped inside and got the parts for a robot and loaded into a truck.
Lyoko, Mountain Sector
The warriors stepped out of the tower and were waiting for instructions.
"Okay, the tower is located due East. Go around the mountain and you should see it" Jeremy said.
As they went around the mountain, a group of six hornets ambushed them and shot at all of them each of them landing a hit.
Jeremy all saw their life points drop by twenty.
"What's going on?" Laura asked.
"They just got ambushed" Jeremy said. "Guys watch out a swarm of hornets coming behind you.
They all got up quickly and prepared as the hornet were inbound. As they closed in Odd shot two arrows and destroyed one of them. Yumi threw one of her fans but the hornet shot it off course and she threw the second. This time she used her telekinesis to control it and hit the hornet from behind and she caught both as they returned.
"Odd, Yumi, hold them off! Me and William will escort Aelita" Ulrich said.
"Okay, good luck!" Yumi said.
Odd and Yumi got into battle positions and prepared for the final four hornets.
2nd Nuclear Base
As the specter finished loading up all the materials someone caught it.
"Hey you! What are you doing with that material!?" the guard asked.
"I'm transporting it to another plant" the specter replied.
The guard drew his gun. "Freeze! Raise your hands! You are under arrest!"
"Okay, suite yourself" the specter said as he shot electricity disabling the guard. "He should be alive, but so much for being a stealth mission." The specter drove back to base.
Lyoko, Mountain Sector
As Odd and Yumi continued to dual the hornets; William, Ulrich, and Aelita were about to have another problem getting to the tower. As they approached, they saw a welcoming committee.
"Woah, four bloks. They ain't going easy on us" Ulrich said.
"Any of you two got a plan?" Aelita asked.
"Yeah, two for two" William said.
"Meaning?"
"Me and Ulrich go down there and take two for each of us. You ready Ulrich?"
"Let's do this" Ulrich said as they raced down there.
Meanwhile Odd and Yumi were finishing up their battle. Odd sot an arrow destroying his last hornet while Yumi jumped up and threw her fan at the hornet destroying it.
"Come on Odd. We got to assist the others" Yumi said as they raced to Aelita's position.
Ulrich and William were nearly at the bloks when they started to fire at them. When they reached the platform, they split up. William super smoked his way to the two going in between them and slashed both of their eyes in less then a second with a 360 slash and super smoked away.
Ulrich on the other hand landed on top of one throwing one of his sabers at the eye of the blok. He then used his remaining one to destroy the one he was on top of. "Impact!" he yelled before jumping off it and both exploded.
Aelita came shortly after with Yumi and Odd.
"Just a little update, after the ambush all of you have eighty life points" Jeremy informed them.
They all acknowledged it and Aelita entered the tower. She floated to the top and accessed the interface. It showed her name before showing her Code. She entered the code and the interface then read Code Lyoko. "Tower deactivated" she said as the tower deactivated.
Secret Lair
The parts were all unloaded. What consisted were arms, torso, legs. feet, hands, and a head.
"My specter just got destroyed" Anti-Xana said.
"So, who's next?" Xana said.
"Both of you. The final plant is heavily guarded. Both of your powers will be needed to infiltrate it. I'll be able to disable the alarm and camera, so we don't get to many unwanted visitors. And by the time it's back online, the mech construction will begin" Delmas said.
Xana and Anti-Xana both activated a tower.
Lab
Jeremy was once again ready to rematerialize them, when another tower activated.
"Another one. Alright, we'll play your game. Guys, another tower in the Ice sector. Tower due North" Jeremy said
The warriors all rushed to the tower. Upon arriving, they enter and go to the Ice sector.
3rd Nuclear Plant
Xana and Anti-Xana's specter arrived at the plant. This final one specialized in nuclear weapons. (I mean like nuclear powered guns. Not A bombs or anything that can wipe out a country.) The specter entered and found many guards. After they noticed it, they drew their assault rifles. "Freeze! Don't move!" the guards shouted. The hands were electrified and if it was deadly the scene inside would have been a massacre.
Lyoko, Ice Sector
The warriors finally made it to the Ice sector.
"Alright, the tower is due West on the second plateau" Jeremy said, and all the warriors rushed there.
3rd Nuclear Plant
After the specter cleared up the rooms, it accessed the weapons room and had all weapons that the mech could have transported to the loading doors. The warriors only had ten minutes to stop this attack from taking place and a bigger threat coming from it.
Lyoko, Ice Sector
As the Lyoko warriors ran they saw the tower but no monsters. They all stopped running.
"This seems too easy" Ulrich said.
"You think there would be more monster here" William said.
"It's also quiet" Yumi said.
"Too quiet" Aelita said.
"I don't like the look of this" Odd said.
"I don't see anything on my screen" Jeremy said.
Secret Lair
"Get ready for a surprise" Delmas said and typed in a code.
Lyoko, Ice Sector
Suddenly the ground shacked and knocked all warriors to the ground. The they heard a loud growl.
"I know that sound" Ulrich said as he looked up and saw the Kolossus. "Jeremy, we got company."
"Get to the tower! It's just there to stall you!" Jeremy said.
"But Jeremy if we fail, the Kolossus could disconnect the tower in one hit! We'll lose Aelita!" Yumi said.
"Ulrich, William! Keep it busy! Odd, Yumi! Escort Aelita to the tower!"
"William head to the arm! I'm taking the head!" Ulrich said.
"Okay" William said as they ran up to it. "So, to take this thing down, we have to strike both symbols at the same time."
"Yeah, when I stab the head, you strike the arm and then jump!" Ulrich said as they attacked the Kolossus.
3rd Nuclear Base
The cargo was loaded, and the specter headed to the back to base.
Lyoko, Ice Sector
Yumi, Odd, and Aelita reached the tower. She entered the tower and the guys reached the points on the Kolossus. She floated up to the top and accessed the interface. Ulrich stabbed into the head and William stabbed the arm. Aelita entered the code. The screen read Code Lyoko. The guys jump off the Kolossus. "Tower deactivated" Aelita says as the tower deactivates and the Kolossus falls into the digital sea defeated.
Lab
Jeremy waited for a minute to see if another tower would activate. Nothing happened and he rematerialized his friends.
When they arrived, they discussed what happened.
"Xana and Anti-Xana had something planned in the end. I read both of their digital signatures on the tower's activation code" Jeremy said.
"What did they do?" Ulrich said.
"I don't know. But nothing seems out of place so no return to the past. Let's head back."
Secret Lair
"Excellent. We have everything we need to start a construction of a nuclear mech. It's almost time for my plan to come into effect" Delmas said.
The Next Day
Jeremy called everyone to his room the next morning. He said it was an emergency. When everyone arrived, he showed them the news broadcast.
"Yesterday, an unknown force took a huge amount of nuclear based materials and weaponry that runs off nuclear power. Everyone survived, but as a cause for this is unknown" the anchor said.
"Well, I guess what we know what kind on mech we're going to be dealing with now" Yumi said.
"Why did Delmas do this?" Odd said.
"Either he found out he has too much power and exploiting it or he thinks this will catch the attention of the government and us" Jeremy said.
"What do we do?" Aelita said.
"Nothing at this moment. What I got to do is find a way to rematerialize your outfits into the real world. The calculation works. I've got to reconfigure it to the program. We will find a way to stop them. I promise."
Government Building
At the government building in Paris, the government has declared a state of emergency.
"Declare a state of emergency immediately! Tell them to report anything and anyone suspicions! I want these thieves or thief found!" the defense secretary said.
A war was brewing but will the Lyoko Warriors be able to stop what they know is coming.
A.N. – Sorry about the delay on this one. I wanted it to get up yesterday, but you know, life happens. Hopefully this long chapter makes up for it. Next one will be a little shorter, but the full avatars come out to play. So, it will be shorter, but very informational before the battle against the nuclear mech as well as some building scenes.
