Chapter 16 The Nuclear Mech Part II (Finale)
A.N. – Finale time! Time for the action to begin! The final battle with Xana and Anti-Xana! I promise this time will be the last time. They will never show up again after this story in my line. In fan submitted ideas and short stories, Xana may exist, but in my line they will disappear. But that doesn't mean the Lyoko Warriors lives with Lyoko are done yet. More on that later. For now, let's finish Resurrection!
Short Summary – Delmas is in Paris looking to claim the reward for the capture of the Lyoko Warriors. The government already has them and the head agent wants them both. They do a cease fire agreement to unite to defeat Delmas and get rid of the nuclear mech. But as the final battle nears one question remains: how to get rid of the nuclear mech safely?

Delmas has finally arrived and he had fire in his eyes as he starred down on the Lyoko Warriors. Xana and Anti-Xana controlled the nuclear mech internally. The government however, was not giving any rewards.
"I don't know who you are, but these kids are mine now! There will be no reward for you! Now, stand down and surrender!" the head agent shouted to Delmas.
"They are fugitives of France! And I believe there is a reward!" Delmas shouted back.
"Yes they are, but you were not here to hand them in! So explain how a reward is yours!?"
"I created this mech to lure you into the same place! So basically, I handed them to you!"
"So you became a criminal!? Stole nuclear material just to claim an invisible reward for these kids! There were no wanted posters for them! I don't believe they're innocent, but there was no talk of reward! Get down here now! You are also under arrest in the name of the French Government!"
"Not a chance!" Delmas said as he went back inside the nuclear mech. He met with Xana and Anti-Xana.
"What do we do now?" Xana asked.
"We capture the warriors and hold them for ransom. I want my money!"
Outside the mech
"Listen, you don't like us and we don't like you, but we need to stop all this arguing and find a solution!" Ulrich said.
"What do you have in mind?" the head agent said.
"We go to enter the mech and disable it so that way all the harmful material can be removed safely with out having a nuclear catastrophe!" Aelita said.
"Go on and enter. We'll join you later."
"How?" Ulrich said.
"We'll find our own way in."
The Lyoko Warriors head off to enter the nuclear mech.
"How do we get inside?" Odd asked.
"Odd, I can take you to the top with my flight. Yumi, use your telekinesis to lift you, William, and Ulrich to the top" Aelita said.
Aelita activated her wings and took flight and grabbed Odd's hand and took him to the top. Yumi used her telekinesis to lift a part of the street they were standing on to the top. When they reached it Odd shot a laser arrow through a window and they all entered.
Inside the nuclear mech
All the warriors entered and discussed ways to how to stop Delmas.
"Okay, we got to fight our way to the top" Ulrich said.
"Be careful when you attack. One wrong mark and the nuclear material could explode. We have to know pour surroundings this time" Aelita said.
The warriors moved carefully through the mech as they headed towards the controls with Delmas watching them.
Control Room
"They want to play huh. Deal with them" Delmas said to Xana and Anti-Xana. They went off to stop the warriors.
Outside the mech
The team of agents looked for a way in.
"Sir there seems to be no way to enter" one agent said.
"Keep looking. I got five high class targets in there. I can't let them escape" the head agent said.
"I keep telling you chief, they're innocent."
"And I told you to find an entrance, not to keep babbling to me about who is innocent or guilty."
The team looked for a weakness that they could safely enter the mech and assist the warriors.
Inside the mech
Xana and Anti-Xana were in the hallway now gaining a sense of self-awareness. They started to think of their fate. They decide to cut a final deal with the warriors. The warriors entered the room and got into their fighting stance.
"One more time huh?" Ulrich said.
"I'm ready for round two" Aelita said.
Xana cut off all communications so that Delmas couldn't hear them make the deal as well as cut off all camera feeds.
Control Room
Suddenly for Delmas, all forms of vision were lost. The audio was gone. The video feed was gone.
"What's going on!? What could be causing this!?" Delmas said furious about what's happening.
Inside the mech
"That should give us five minutes" Xana said.
"You can surrender right now!" Yumi said.
"We are" Anti-Xana said.
"We want to make a deal with you. We know the end is near. We also know that we will take over again. We have started to gain our self-awareness back. But after Delmas captures you, we will be deactivated. So, defeat Delmas and let us take care of the mech" Xana said.
"What will you do?" Aelita said.
"Use the boosters to reach space and self-destruct the mech once we leave Earth's atmosphere so it doesn't consume you atmosphere and kill millions with the air pollution" Anti-Xana said.
"Is that the only way?" Ulrich said.
"It is. The mech cannot be deactivated safely. You have to defeat Delmas in order for us to gain control of the mech. You have about three hours before we become totally self-aware and turn into who we were before. Give us our final release" Xana said.
The Lyoko Warriors agreed and they made a final deal with their enemy. This proves there are heroes on both sides.
"How do we reach Delmas?" Aelita asked.
"Take the stairs right there. It will take you straight up to the head. We'll be waiting."
The Lyoko Warriors headed off to confront Delmas.
Outside the mech
The government was still trying to find a way in when the secretary of defense arrived.
"What the hell is going on here!?" sec def said.
"What's going on is that we are trying to solve the situation" the head agent said.
"Then explain why the fuck is a giant nuclear robot is doing in Paris!?"
"This robot will be gone soon sir. We have friends on the inside working on it."
"Do it faster. You're job depends on it!"
The head agent saw a chopper. "You want it done; give me and three of my men your chopper."
Control Room
The Lyoko Warriors arrive at the control room and as they entered the door closed behind them.
"It's locked" William said as he tried to open the door.
Then Delmas appeared. "Welcome to my control room. Now we can do this two ways. Come silently, or do this the hard way" he said.
"We here to take you down" Ulrich said.
"Fine, I guess it's the hard way then." Suddenly a trap door was opened under their feet and all of them fell into the room below. Below they saw a whole room full of inactive monsters. And the room lit up with lights. Delmas cam over the intercom. "With the control of your enemies come some perks. One of them, their monsters!" All the monsters came to life.
"Now we got problems!" William said.
Outside the mech
A chopper was flying to the mech and the team devised a plan.
"Okay, a technical readout says the weapons are not connected to nuclear power within. Which means we can destroy the guns with no problems. Let's do this! Are the gun men ready?" the head agent said flying the chopper.
"Ready" the first gunmen said.
"Ready" the second gunmen said.
"Okay, we'll make a couple of passes and when we get close you'll shoo the guns, taking them down" the head agent said as he approached the first arm.
The gunmen readied their weapons and when the chopper got close they open fired. It took three passes but the gun was finally destroyed.
"Okay, let's do that to the second one now" the head agent said and he approached the second one.
As he approached the second one, the gunmen readied and open fired. It still took three passes but the second gun was destroyed. Suddenly one spoke up.
"Sir, the kids are in a situation! We have to assist them!" an agent said.
"Grab some AK's back there and be ready for a drop! You're going in!"
Inside the mech
The warriors continued to cut down the monsters but the more they killed, the more worn-out they became.
"This is how it ends for us huh?" Yumi said.
"Well, it's been a pleasure to fight with you guys and have you guys as friends" Odd said when a miracle happened.
Suddenly three agents dropped downon the window shot them out and jumped in. They opened fire on the monster and within five minutes all the monsters were defeated.
"All targets down sir!" one agent said.
"Good work agent!" the head agent said.
The agents approached the warriors.
"We surrender, just let us get Delmas first" Ulrich said.
"Well what are you waiting for? Go!" the agent said.
"What's going on?"
"We came in to assist you, not capture you."
"I'm confused" Odd said.
"Just go save us okay?"
The Lyoko Warriors headed back to the control room to confront Delmas.
Control Room
"We're back Delmas!" William said.
"So you are" Delmas said. "Good I want you here." Delmas hit the self-destruct button. "If I can't have you, no one will!"
"So you going to kill thousands just for us!?" Ulrich said.
"You should have surrendered."
Aelita was done dealing with this shit now. She stepped forward. "No, we're not going to fucking surrender! But thousands are not going to die fucking money for brains! So fuck you!" she said as she shot an energy orb at Delmas disabling him.
"Detain him!" Ulrich said.
"I call the friends" Aelita said as she got over the intercom. "Get up here now! We got problems!"
Xana and Anti-Xana rushed to the control room.
The chopper was outside the mech.
"Get in now! This things gonna blow!" the head agent said as the agents jumped on the chopper.
"What about the kids?" one agent said.
"I think they got this under control."
Anti-Xana and Xana arrived at the control room.
"What's the situation?" Xana said.
"Self-destruct has been activated" Aelita said.
"We'll take care of this now. Get out of her now!" Anti-Xana said.
The warriors took Delmas out and made it to the ground as the mech took off. The mech took off at insane speeds trying to get out of the atmosphere as fast as possible. Everyone looked on the ground as the mech escaped the atmosphere. Xana and Anti-Xana looked at each other as they left the atmosphere and were heading into deep space. As the end neared, the Lyoko Warriors looked in sadness as their worst enemies became their best friends. They were willing to sacrifice themselves for the world. Rewriting of their minds was the best thing to happen to warriors. The mech then exploded and shot a light in the sky. The nuclear mech was a safe range from Earth and all of it would become space junk.
Aelita had a tear form in her eye. She remembered of her father's quest to stop Xana and now it was over. "For you daddy. We did it, for you" Aelita said.
"Well, well, well. Jean-Pierre Delmas. Stern school principle and father turned criminal and terrorist. You're under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. Even though it probably won't help you, you have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you at no cost" the head agent said as he arrested Delmas. "Now, where are those kids?"
"Gone sir" one agent said.
He sighed. "Okay. I'll find them. They are not getting away with anything. I can assure you of that."
Kadic
The warriors were able to slip away from the eye of the government, but had to go back into hiding. The next day a news broadcast came on.
"Jean-Pierre Delmas has been charged with one count of robbery, one count of robbery of dangerous materials, and one count of aggravated terrorism. His trial will determine what he goes in for" the anchor said.
"So now what?" Yumi said.
"We hide" Jeremy said. "We didn't settle the score with the government, so they're going to be looking for us."
One month later
All students were sent home after Delmas disappeared and the board started to look for a replacement headmaster. But the trial came and here's the broadcast: "Jean-Pierre Delmas ahs been found guilty on the charge of terrorism, but not the robbery. Since he never committed the robberies, those charges have been dropped. Jean-Pierre Delmas will serve 20 to 30 years in prison and will not be eligible for parole anytime in the future."
"So, he's gone for good" Ulrich said.
"Yeah, now it's just us" Jeremy said.
The adventures of the Lyoko Warriors have not ended. They have just begun.
A.N. – And thus ends Resurrection! A short little story, but filled with many side stories. Next time will be time for the government to become involved. How will they trace them? Find out next time!
