Hey guys! Happy Ramadan! Although it's moving towards its end right now T_T

Here is a new and a very late update of Crimson Heart.

SO guys Matteo is Sophia's best friend he was mentioned in Chapter 10 most probably. Just a quick reminder as he has not been around much.

Sophia was blissfully sleeping when someone ripped the blanket of her body . She groaned at the interruption of her dream in which she was almost going to kiss Kai. Even nature doesn't want them to kiss. She tried her best to ignore the most annoying and cruel person in this world, trying to wake her up. He or she didn't seem to give up. But she was stubborn as hell so she cocooned herself and started drifting of again intoher dream land.

Kai shook his head at Sophia and his lips curled at the corner. Their bey blading practice was to start at 5 and it was 4:35. Both of them should have been at the center five minute ago. He always made sure that Sophia and Crystal practiced more as they would be the captain and vice captain after they left. He tried shaking Sophia again but she didn't even budge. She was almost as bad as Tyson. But then he decide to try a different approach. The one he was sure she would wake up to and he surely couldn't do that to Tyson.

Sophia could feel the heat of someone's hot breath on her face but she ignored it thinking that it was again one of those dreams in which Kai was involved. She could just blush how inappropriate her dreams have been. Those romance novels surely took her imagination up a notch.

But when someone gently bit her earlobe, she realized that it was definitely not one of her dreams. She felt shivers down to her core and suppressed a moan. When Kai's voice drifted in her ear telling her to wake up or she would be late , her eyes opened wide. And she came to know that Kai had touched her. No less with his mouth. Her face got so red she was sure she resembled an overly ripe tomato.

Kai could not suppress his smile at the black haired beauty in front of him. Her expressive ocean blue eyes were so wide, he was afraid they would get out of their sockets. And her face was extremely red. But that just added to her beauty.

Kai has finally admitted to himself that he was somewhat attracted to this blue eyed, black haired beauty. It was not an easy task, especially after what happened last time. But Dranzer, his brain and even Black Dranzer has convinced that every experience is not the same. Black Dranzer also resided in his mind, all thanks to Boris and Voltaire. He did not like to call him grandfather because let's be real, he was anything but that.

Kai has come to terms with both bit-beast living in his head and constantly annoying him. Like Tyson was not enough. Black Dranzer has adjusted herself to his brain and joined Dranzer sometimes when they feel like teasing him extra. But now on to the situation at hand. He watched as Sophia turned to him with big sleepy wide eyes and he barely resisted the urge to kiss her.

" I'll be waiting outside," was all he said and walked out of their room leaving a baffled Sophia blushing.

The practice was cruel and finally over after Tyson practically begged Kai to do so. Sophia was dressed in her uniform now and was going towards her homeroom. She could still feel the tingling effect of Kai's lips on her. HOLY! Kai's lips. On her face. Her face flamed when she realized how much she had wanted that. She was lost in her thoughts when she smacked into a person.

"Woah there, clumsy." Said a very recognizable voice holding her by the arms so her fall could be prevented.

"Matteo!" exclaimed Sophia will glee coating her voice. She was such a terrible bestie. Because of her stupid crush on Kai, she has completely forgotten that she had a best friend who has been with her long before Kai came. "I'm so sorry buddy. I completely forgot about you."

Some kind of emotion that resembled hurt passed his face but he quickly masked it with a smile for the beautiful girl in front of him," Ouch! That hurt, sweetie."

Sophia smiled at the nickname which her childhood best friend had given her as nostalgia passed over her and she realized how much she missed the familiarity of her best friend and family. She moved forward to hug him and he reciprocated the affection with ease.

"So what do you say, today just you and me, after school?" He asked with unveiled hope in his voice and Sophia just couldn't find herself to say no. So she agreed not realizing at all how jealous this would make a certain two-toned blue haired, crimson eyed boy.

That's how Sophia found herself getting dressed with a smile on her face. Kai was watching her from the wooden chair not knowing what was making her smile so bad. He felt jealous that he was not the reason of that smile.

Fuck! He was turning into a sissy.

But his mood soured even more when he opened the door to see that blondie friend of Sophia , smirking at him. He walked into THEIR room like he owned the place. Kai growled lowly and followed him inside.

" Hey Mattie!" Greeted Sophia with a cheerful smile on her face. Kai clenched his jaw and fisted his hand to prevent himself from breaking the face of this Mattie.

"Hi, sweetie."

Sweetie? Sweetie?! What were they? Five!

Control Hiwatari, control yourself. Don't touch him. Sophia will not like it but DAMN MAN! It was so freaking hard when he was looking at her like he won a lottery. Kai was so lost at glaring at that friend of hers that he didn't even realize when Sophia called him.

"-Kai. KAI! EARTH TO KAI!"

"Yes,"

"I said we're going out. We'll be back at six-ish probably."

"Hn."

Sophia didn't know what was the deal with Kai. He was being extremely quiet. Not as it was unusual just that she didn't like it how Kai and Matteo were glaring at each other. She wanted them to get along. One was her best friend and the other was her crush. But it seemed like that was not going to happen anytime soon. She shrugged because today nothing was going to bring down her mood. Her morning was good albeit embarrassing and now she got to hang out with her best friend.

They left the dorms and the school and went into the city. Firstly they got themselves a late lunch and then randomly roamed the streets laughing like idiots. It was so easy for them to get back into their comfort zone again no matter how far away they stayed. This was what she liked about their friendship. There was no awkwardness. There was one time when they kissed each other at eight and she felt a bit awkward. But it was all forgotten when they laughed in each other's faces. It was her first kiss. Maybe his also.

So when she got back , there was a constant smile on her face. She was pleasantly surprised when she opened her door and saw all the boys and the girls from their team messily scrawled all over their room. Kai was no where to be found. But the question was, if Kai's not here, then who allowed them inside. Just then she saw a grinning Tala, fully recovered now. She remembered Kai telling her that he was giving the spare key to Tala and Crystal after that incident. Kai would be so mad when he saw them all in here. In their room, which seemed to be so small to fit almost twenty people inside, even if it was slightly bigger than other rooms.

"Where were you?" Asked Crystal when she saw the grin on her cousin's face.

"Out with Matteo"

Crystal made a humming sound while Tala snorted. He found the fact funny that his best friend's crush was out with another guy. Tala wondered if Kai knew about this. He would be so mad. He laughed inwardly. There was so much noise in the room that it was difficult to hear each other without almost shouting. That happens when you've got almost twenty teenagers in a room too small for all them. Sophia tried to get the noise to stop but all in vain. Just then a thunderous but not loud voice roared and everyone got quiet in a millisecond.

"What the hell is going on here?" Kai asked glaring when he saw his stupid teammates in his room. His day couldn't get any worse.

When all of them subtly pointed at Tala, he sighed. His glare intensified looking at his redhead friend who was supporting a sheepish grin. He knew giving Tala a key to their room was a bad idea. But he wanted to make sure that in emergency they would be able to get to each other.

"Get out this instant." He hissed but looked at Sophia when she placed her hand on his forearm. He could swear he felt something rush inside of him but he shrugged the feeling.

"They're already here. There is no use getting them out now. The damage has been already done," she grimaced when she saw that their room looked like devil had went through it personally. He just nodded which she took as a sign for confirmation, "Carry on, guys." She declared and immediately the room resumed its previous noise.

Tala smirked at his best friend. He was Whipped, with a capital W. Their vice captain just had to say a few words and he agreed.

Just then Johnny and Enrique came in with beer bottles in their hand despite being underage.

"Where did you get that?" Asked Ray with doubt lingering in his voice.

"We have our ways." Was all they got in return. Tala thought that it maybe due to them being super rich or something.

"Lets play Truth and Dare!" suggested Tyson.

"No! We're not five Tyson," reprimanded Hilary." We should play Never have I ever."

"No , spin the bottle!" said Mia.

That started out a full war between all of them. The idiots didn't even realize that they were almost all the same things.

Finally they all left around ten, Claire and Crystal made sure that they all cleaned the room before leaving. Both were a little clean freaks. Sophia laid on the bed eating a chocolate and released a tired sigh. Today has been fun but tiring. She was beat now. She saw Kai coming out of the shower with very low riding sweatpants and a black shirt. He looked so yummy. She had already showered and changed and was in a tank top and shorts.

Kai stared at her and licked his lips. He had avoided the temptation too many times. But not anymore. He moved towards her on the bed and hovered over her. Sophia's breath hitched when she noticed how close Kai was to her. She could feel his warm breath on her face, her chocolate long forgotten. His hand came down gently on her face as he rubbed a bit of chocolate from the corner of her lips. Sophia blushed fifty shades of red. He looked down at her and realized that she looked even more beautiful with her face so close. She was not wearing her glasses which was a nice change as he could see her Blue- Gray eyes clearly. So many emotions swirled within them. He was not able to pick one out.

"It's not getting off," He whispered, his breath practically mingling with hers, " Maybe I should lick it off." Sophia's eyes widened on his words and her breathing got ragged. If he didn't kiss her now, she would die from frustration.

In the moment, she didn't know where the boldness came from but she challenged, "Then why don't you?" If Kai was surprised he didn't show it and just lowered himself even more so his hands were on both sides of bed, caging her in his arms. He gently kissed the corner of her mouth and she closed her eyes at the beautiful sensation. Then he kissed her lower jaw and traced small gentle kisses along her jaw, cheek and ear but never on the mouth.

So she decided to show bravery once again and took his face in her hands and brought it slowly close to hers. Their lips touched gently and she felt electricity rush through her. It was so simple yet so beautiful. The kiss was gentle and sweet at first but it seemed it was not enough for them. It turned passionate in a matter of seconds and Sophia ran her fingers through his soft tresses while his one hand was on her face while the other one was around her neck. His hands never roamed her body and she was thankful for it.

Sophia moaned in protest when they separated themselves for getting air and looked at each other both breathless with swollen lips. Then she smiled.

And Kai could swear it was the most beautiful sight in the whole world!
