A/N: Thanks for the nice reviews!! also tsukki and noya may be a bit ooc here cuz it was pretty hard to write them

Sugawara watched helplessly as the ceiling of the cave was going to collapse on Hinata and there was nothing he could do to protect his little kōhai. But maybe if he called out to him, he'd move out of the way!

"Hina-" but he was beaten to the punch.

"Shoyo, move!" Kageyama, thankfully, pushed Hinata out of the centre but he got caught in the rubble too, and the whole thing collapsed, blocking the entrance of what seemed to be a.. cave??

He stood there for a few seconds, unable to move, feet glued to the ground and eyes wide- no, what was he doing?!- he snapped himself out of his daze, and ran towards the rubble, where his two juniors once were.

"Hinata! Kageyama! Can you hear me?!" he shouted out as he removed piles and piles of the debris, dust forming and choking him. He didn't get a reply, not that it was expected, but it was still concerning. It meant that they were either unconscious or.. No. He didn't want to think about that right now. As he was removing some of the rubble, he was hit in the head by something hard- it hurt. His hand reached over to his temple where he felt the dull ache. When he removed it, his fingers were coated in blood, and suddenly, he started to feel woozy..

He got up and staggered away, walking back towards the clearing.

I can't do this alone.. I should go back and get Daichi and the others to help. Yeah. But maybe after a little.. nap..

Saying Daichi was worried was an understatement. He was downright panicking. Suga had left to take photos and hadn't come back since... what, 20 minutes?? Surely, he'd be back by now. He also noticed Hinata and Kageyama weren't with everyone else either. Enough is enough, im tired of waiting. Before leaving he walked towards Ennoshita and said, "I'm leaving you in charge, I'm going to find Suga and the others. If I don't get back in 10 minutes let coach Ukai know. I have a bad feeling about this.."

Ennoshita nodded. "Hai!"

Daichi walked off into the forest looking for his best friend and his little kōhai's.

"Oh no.." Daichi picked up Suga's camera which was abandoned in the grass. Did something bad happen to him?

"Suga!" he called out but didn't get a reply. This was bad. If his best friend was ok he'd shout back to him right?? Or maybe he was calling from too far away. Yeah that's it- he was just being paranoid.

"Kageyama! Hinata! Is anyone there?"

Suddenly, he heard a groan echo throughout the forest, and it sounded like..

"Suga!" He wasted no time running towards the source of the sound. As he got to another clearing he saw a slumped figure a little into the distance, he walked towards it with caution.

As he got a little closer he saw the silver head of hair that belonged to his best friend. He dashed towards him immediately and turned him over onto his back. As he looked at his face he was clearly unconscious, and his eyebrows furrowed as if he were in pain. He could also notice a stream of blood running down his face. It was fresh. This was really, really bad. What happened? And where were Kageyama and Hinata?

He looked for the rise and fall of his chest. That was good. But his ragged breathing was not. He placed the setter's head on his lap and checked for a fever, and his pulse. Both were fine. He tried to shake him awake, and it seemed like it was working, he started to stir.

"Koushi, can you hear me? Say something!" Daichi called out as he continued shaking him. He knew it was bad to shake someone with a head injury, but he was panicking here!

Koushi felt himself being shook. Leave me alone, I'm tired. Reluctantly, he cracked open his eyes as he was pulled out of unconsciousness and was met with the worried face of Daichi. He immediately burst into a coughing fit. When he was done, he looked up at his friend.

"Koushi are you alright? What happened? Where are Hinata and Kageyama?!" Suddenly his eyes widened.

"What's wrong Suga?" Daichi asked, concern written all over his face.

"Hinata and Kageyama are.." he pointed to the debris a little ways away from them. "They were- They're- Oh God- I couldn't get to them fast enough and-" he started hyperventilating.

Dachi winced. Something really bad must've happened if suga was panicking like this. He was usually the one comforting others and helping Daichi keep his cool. Not the other way around. It pained Daichi to see his best friend like this.

"Suga!" the setter flinched as the wing spiker gripped his shoulders firmly. "Calm down. Breathe in.." Sugawara copied, "and out.." he exhaled. They follwed this pattern for a while until Daichi thought it was necessary for him to start talking again. Damn, I should've brought the first aid kit.

"Tell me what happened from the beginning."

Suga sighed."Okay. I saw Hinata andd- and Kageyama racing for the b-ball" he's stuttering and slurring his words. Danger factors of a concussion. Not good. Daichi made a mental note not to let Suga fall asleep until they found help, in case he really did have a concussion. "Hinata reached it first and it seemed like it was stuck between those rocks over there. When he r-removed it, the whole thing came crashing down on them."

Daichi was confused. "Them? I thought you said only Hinata got the ball."

Suga nodded, but seemed to regret that as he winced in pain, "Yes, but, Kageyama saved him. He was in the centre of the whole thing, but he was pushed out of the way just in the nick of time."

"So they're both stuck?"

He nodded. Though, he seemed to regret that as he winced in discomfort.

"And what happened to you?"

"I tried to help after the collapse and remove the rocks blocking the entrance," he sighed, "I don't remember anything after that."

He was probably struck in the head by one of the rocks, Daichi concluded.

"Hey, we should get back now," he said standing up. He held out a hand to Suga. "Do you think you can walk?"

"I think so.." he said taking Daichi's hand, he immediately stumbled to the ground. "Woah.. I felt just fine a minute ago. Now everything'ss spinning.." he groaned holding a hand to his temple and squeezing his eyes shut.

"Don't worry, you'll be fine once we get some help." said Daichi. He helped Suga up and slung his arm over his shoulder, and tightened his other around the setter's waist. They started walking.

Daichi felt Suga slump beside him multiple times, and he had to make small talk to keep him awake. He asked him simple things like "What did you have for breakfast?" or reminded him of the funny memories they shared like "Remember when Hinata put his jersey on backwards?"

"Sawamura! Sugawara!"

As they were about halfway, the duo heard their names being called. Daichi and Suga looked up -Suga to the best of his ability anyways-

Relief flooded over Daichi.

Ennoshita was getting more and more worried by the second. Daichi had asked him to hold the fort down and it had been well over ten minutes. Ukai had come back a while ago, so he decided to finally spill the beans.

"Coach Ukai?"

"Looking for something, kid?"

"Kinda.." Ukai gave him a confused look.

"Sugawara, Hinata and Kageyama were missing for a while. Daichi went to look for them and asked me to hold the fort down and let you know if he doesn't come back after ten minutes. It's definitely been longer than ten minutes. Daichi said he had a bad feeling about it, and, to be honest, so do I. I think we should go look for them."

Ukai nodded. "Listen up everyone." he gained everyone's attention. "Asahi, you're in charge. Ennoshita, come with me."

"But where are you guys going?" whined Nishinoya.

"We'll be back shortly." answered Ukai. "Come on, Ennoshita."

About two minutes into their walk, Ennoshita noticed two figures in the distance. He'd recognise that silver head of hair any day. The person next to him must be..

"Sawamura! Sugawara!" Ukai beat him to the punch.

They started running towards them.

Daichi also started picking up the pace the best he could, and when they finally met,

"Ukai! Ennoshita! You came!"

"Yeah of course we-" Ukai stopped mid sentence.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO SUGA-SENPAI?!"

"We'll be back shortly. Come on, Ennoshita."

Nishinoya pouted, "This is no fun."

"I wonder where they went.." Asahi muttered.

"Let's go after them!" Nishinoya exclaimed.

Tsukishima -who a sleeping Yamaguchi was leaning against- lifted his head up and said, "You heard what coach said. We should stay. Don't make it harder on Asahi. And you don't even know which way they went."

"But I'm worried!" whined the libero. "Please Asahi! Can I go? I won't get lost I promise!" he turned to the third year with pleading eyes.

Asahi rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly and said. "I'm sorry Noya, Tsukishima's right. You heard what coach said. He'll have my head if- Hey come back!" Nishinoya had already taken off.

"Noya!" Tanaka yelled and took off after him. "Come back!"

Tadashi woke up from all the commotion. "Tsukki.. what's going on? Where's everyone going?"

"We don't have to worry about them. They're simpletons."

"Sure.." he yawned and stretched.

"Shut up Yamaguchi."

Tadashi sighed, rolled his eyes and leaned onto Tsukishima. The blonde didn't pull away.

Yū Nishinoya was a lot of things, but he was no scardey-cat. He knew something bad had happened, from the moment Daichi left. He heard his conversation with Ennoshita, but he decided not to say anything. It's either no one knew or no-one was telling him. And he hated being left in the dark. He knew it was a bad idea to run away -hell he didn't even know where he was going- but he had to find out for himself and know if his friends were okay. Then he'd relax. That wasn't the case though.

In the distance he could see four figures walking towards him. He immediately recognised them.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO SUGA-SENPAI?!"

He ran up to them with speed and looked over at his Senpai. His eyes were squeezed shut, like he was in pain, and he was coughing.

"Noya!" Daichi said surprised.

"I thought I told you to stay back at the clearing." Said Ukai.

"What happened to Sugawara-senpai?" He repeated in a cold voice and a glare.

"Oi, Yū! That's no way to speak to your elders!" he received a bonk on the head from Tanaka, who had followed him and snapped him out of his daze, as he realised what he had done.

"Ah! I'm so sorry coach!" he bowed "I don't know what got into me! I was just worried and-" he tried to explain.

"It's okay Nishinoya." Ukai put his hand on the libero's shoulder. "We'll explain when we get back- well, Daichi will." He looked over at the wing spiker, but he didn't even notice. He was looking at Suga with sad eyes.

Suga's head perked up as he looked at his kōhai with tired eyes and said. "Yeah. s'not your fault. It'll be okay."

Yū couldn't believe this! He was wallowed in his own self pity when his senpai was the one comforting him. It was supposed to be the other way round. He was livid. Koushi wasn't just his senpai, he was his friend. They were pretty close. Not as close as Yū and Asahi, or as Yū and Tanaka, but a friend's a friend.

I'll kill whoever did this to you.

Though, he only responded to the setter with a nod.

"Aah, I'm gonna get into so much trouble," Asahi whimpered, "I should've gone after them."

Yamaguchi tried his best to comfort him. "It's okay, Coach will understand. Nishinoya and Tanaka are a rowdy lot. Y'know there's no stopping them when they put their minds to something. It'll be alright." He hesitantly patted him on the back.

They looked up to see multiple sets of footsteps running up to them. They were back! But something wasn't right..

"Suga!" Asahi called out and ran towards his friend who was now sitting against a tree and breathing heavily. "What happened to you? Are you okay?!"

"Of course he's not!! Look at him!" a voice shouted, filled with rage.

"Noya, you need to calm down."

I'm calm, dammit, he thought.

"Sheesh what's up with him.." Yamaguchi mumbled under his breath.

Asahi spoke up once again, nervous. "Noya, how about you stay over there with Suga to cool off?" He pointed over to the tree a little away from them where Daichi was bandaging the cut on Suga's head.

Nishinoya took up on his offer and walked up to them without a word.

"Make sure he doesn't fall asleep" Daichi ordered, "He might have a concussion." Nishinoya nodded.

"Hey Daichi! Get over here and tell us what's going on!" Ukai called from afar. The captain visibly cringed. "Look after him, okay?" he gave the libero a sympathetic smile. "Hai..!" he replied. Daichi made his way over to the rest of the team.

"Asahi. Go find Takeda-sensei and tell him to get help urgently. It's an emergency. Take Kinoshita with you."

said Ukai.

At the mention of his name, the second year went with Asahi.

"Okay, Daichi now tell us what happened."

They all huddled round and sat on the grass in a circle, save for Nishinoya who was trying to keep Suga awake by talking with him a few metres away at the tree. They hoped being away from everyone and with Suga would calm him down.

Daichi started explaining.

When he finished he was bombarded with questions.

"What?!"

"Are they okay?"

"Are they alive?!"

"Of course they are stupid." Tsukishima reassured his friend. They wouldn't go down that easily.

Would they?

"Daichi! Come quick! Something's wrong with Suga!"

While Daichi was telling everyone what happened, save for Asahi and Kinoshita, Nishinoya was having a conversation with Suga in an effort to keep him awake. Nishinoya would carry most of the conversation, and Suga would respond with "yeah" and "uh-huh"

"Hey wait.. Where are Shoyo and Kageyama." He had been so wrapped up thinking about Suga when he realised his little kōhais were missing too.

His eyes widened, "Shoyo and.." Suga started, but broke into a coughing fit. "I couldn't help them.."

"Suga what's wrong?"

He started wheezing, "I can't- I can't breathe- I minute ago I was fine," no you weren't stupid "but now I can't breathe and everything's fuzzy and my head hurts." Tears pricked at his eyes, threatening to spill. He needed help.

"Daichi! Come quick! Something's wrong with Suga!"

It was barely even five seconds until Daichi was at their side, holding the shaking setter in his arms.

"Nishinoya! What happened?"

"Gah, I don't know!" he panicked, "We were talking when I asked about Hinata and Kageyama and now he's like this!"

"Noya-san.. Hinata and Kageyama are.." The wing spiker was cut off. It was Suga. He was shaking violently now.

"Oh my God, is he having a seizure?!" cried out Yamaguchi.

"He isn't! Calm down!" Tanaka cried out.

"It's a panic attack!" Asahi cried out. He stood by his friend's side and tried to calm hi down as he gasped for breath

Once Suga calmed down, he looked at up Daichi.

"Daichi... why are there three of you?" the shaking teen whispered in his arms, feeling a little delirious.

"What do you mean? There's only one of me. I'm right here." he pointed to himself.

"Crap." Noya said. Daichi flinched, forgetting he was even there in the first place. "Suga, how many dingers am I holding up.?" He held up two.

Suga groaned and squinted his eyes as if the task was difficult for him. "Uhh... six?" he asked uncertainty. Daichi's heart dropped. Just then he realised the setter's pupils were dilated.

"Woah!" Yamaguchi exclaimed, "is he seeing double? Triple?!"

"This isn't good.." Noya said.

"He'll be fine. He has to be." Daichi said removing his hoodie and putting it on his friend in an effort to give him a little comfort.

While waiting for Takeda, Asahi and Kinoshita to arrive, Daichi had thoughts. Was this all his fault? If he had gone with Koushi.

Could he have prevented this?
