Hi guys sorry it's been a while. Here is a short chapter to get me back in the swing of things. I hope you like it. :)

Chapter Thirteen-

We stand outside the police station at 9.50am with 10 minutes to spare. I'm really nervous and by the way Jess is squeezing my hand I can tell she is too. Lainie is standing with Clay quietly speaking to him by the car, she has the tapes that I made, that gives more details into what happened with Jess as well as me with the hot tub.

"Come on girls, let's get this over with shall we and then we can all go home and rest, i'm sure this is just going to be the start of a possibly long and painful journey for all of us but mainly you two" Lainie says as she walks up to us and puts her hands on our shoulders. As we walk in I notice Justin is sitting in the waiting room, i'm guessing Jess had text him or something, he notices us and rushes to hold Jess in his arms. She lets him even though she's angry with him, I think she needs the strength for what we are about to do. Lianie goes to the desk and speaks to an officer who then goes out the back before turning back to us.
"Justin you may want to wait in the car with clay, since we do have to mention you to the officer, but I will make a deal with them and any other people who get involved to make sure we give you the best outcome we can in all this ok"?
"Yes Mrs Jenson of course." He turns to Jess. "I'll be right in the car ok, I won't leave I promise" and with that he kisses Jess on the cheek and heads outside.
"I'll wait with him ok, I'll see you in a little bit?" Clay says touching my elbow and giving me a quick kiss before following Justin, his red cheeks gives me the impression that PDA in a police station is not something he'd really like to do on a regular basis, but all I can do is nod in reply.

We sat in the waiting area for about 10 minutes before a man approached Lainie and then us and escorted us into a private room where another officer was waiting. They introduced themselves as Detective Johnson and Officer Taylor and started a tape recording of our conversation, including mentioning our names and theirs before we began. I'm so scared but I have to do this for my sake, Jess's sake and for all the other girls who may have been attacked by Bryce the vile human. We begin to start explaining what has happened with the aid of Lainie and of course the tapes which have now been placed into evidence with our written statements which we made before driving up here.

We have been in this god awful room for what seems an absolute eternity but looking at my watch it tells me that it's been about 2 hours, 2 grueling hours. We have both been going through our stories and had to listen to the tapes again and answer all the questions that the officers have thrown our way. The one recurring question that keeps getting brought up is if we wanted it and if we consented. How many times do we have to tell them that we didn't want it and we did not consent? This is painful enough as it is without them constantly asking the same question over and over again. I'm so thankful for Lainie being with us and holding our hands while we cry.

After about 3 and a half hours we finally get to leave the room and get away from those barbaric officers, Me and Jess wait in the waiting room while Lainie talks to them about the next steps. I honestly cannot wait to get some fresh air. It doesn't take long before Lainie walks out and walks us out of the station and towards the car.

"What did they say Lainie?"
"They said that they would send an officer to stake out Bryce and his family for the rest of the day and night and first thing in the morning he will be brought in for questioning. As soon as that is done with they will contact me, they are also contacting the hospital for the results of the DNA test and rape kit they took from you the other day Hannah and Jess they would like you to have one done too, so if you would like we can do that now and get it over and done with. We can then go home and wait for the call tomorrow".

Jess looks a bit startled and shocked but nods.

"I'll go with you Jess, i had clay with me for mine, i'm not going to let you go in on your own"
"Thank you Hannah, i really can't wait for this day to be over".
"Me too Jess, me too. Let's get this over with" I give her a small smile as we head for the car and to Clay and Justin, who both envelop us in big hugs as we get closer.
