The tricross relay was the hardest. Alice, Diane, Flurry Heart, June, Amy, and Tom were the CHS competitors and Lucy, Laura, Hermione, Liz, Tara, Winnie and Lily Pad for Crystal Prep. Hermione and Lucy looked longingly at Amy. They didn't want to compete against their younger sister. Twilight stood up. "When the competitors are ready, and the race will start!"
Meanwhile, Sugarcoat was measuring the magical powers of the mane 7's geodes. Applejack and Fluttershy looked keenly on the archery. June and Diane. Diane was struggling with the archery. Another student who was struggling was Lucy Spruce. Winnie was confident and did it in 2 minutes. Lucy's hand shook, and Diane shut her eyes and blindly shot and she scored. She gave a thumbs-up to June. Applejack got more and more frustrated. "Lookie here," said Applejack. "Don't aim at the target, aim where the target is gonna be!"
"Oh, that's wonderful advice!" cried Winnie. "Especially if the advice is BEING TOLD BY A TEACHER OF THE OPPOSING SIDE!"
"Do you wanna win or not?" asked Applejack gently.
Lucy nodded, wiping her tears away.
"Then trust me. In 3... 2... 1... NOW!" cried Applejack.
The arrow hit the bullseye.
Applejack hugged Lucy. "See, I was tellin' ya the truth!"
Applejack ponied up. Sugarcoat gasped as her geode glowed. Near Applejack was Fluttershy talking to birds, and that was sucked into her device. Sugarcoat had Pinkie and Rarity's from earlier. Sunset gasped as Applejack collapsed. Rainbow Dash ran as fast as lightning to grab hold of her then her magic was sucked out too! Twilight knew the game was up. "It's up to us," said Twilight. "Only we can get our friends' magic back."
Meanwhile, Amy, Hermione, Alice and Liz were doing speed skating. Amy grabbed Alice and told her to go ahead to win.
The Shimmer twins, Tom and Tara were looking terrified. Lily Pad and Flurry Heart were also terrified. Sugarcoat accidentally released the magic. Tara saved Tom.
"Wow, Tara, I know we're at different schools, but you saved me!"
"Tom, you're my twin brother. Of course I would help you, go, I'll sort this out with mom." said Tara
Suddenly, Tara looked up to see Lily Pad's bike get eaten by a giant plant monster. Sugarcoat quickly shut the device and everything was back to normal.
Twilight knew she had to do this. She flew up to repair the damage but then her magic was gone too. Sunset looked from her 2 kids to her 6 BFFs. Only she could save them now.
