Chapter 4
"Not here. Come inside." Katherine instructed stepping inside as Elena followed suit.
"You have a beautiful home."
"What brings you here?"
"I already told you. I think that you're my sister and now looking at you I can definitely see the resemblance."
"So, you decided to drive all the way to Virginia to find me?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I?"
"It seems kind of suspicious don't you think?"
"I know, but I just barely found out about you and I don't know why, but I wanted to get to know you, Is that so wrong?"
"It depends on what you want from me."
"I just want to get to know you. Nothing else."
"Where are you staying?"
"I was going to get a hotel when we were done here, unless your busy then I can come back later."
"I don't mean to be rude but if you can get a hotel that would be grand. I have a date that I would love to get to and your kind of holding me up."
"Oh sorry. I'll just come by tomorrow, so that we could talk."
"I'll see what I can do."
Nodding, Elena followed Katherine where she gestured Elena out the door shutting it tightly behind her without so much as a goodbye. Well this was going to be one difficult year, she thought as she made her way to her hotel hoping that their next encounter would be a better one.
"Hello there. Is there something I can help you with?" A kind girl asked as Elena stepped into the hotel she would be staying at for a week or so.
"Ugh, yes, I need a room."
"Coming right up. Do you smoke?"
"Ugh no. I quit when I was a teenager."
"Then I'll book you in a non-smoking room."
"Excellent."
"You're all set." The girl smiled as she handed Elena her hotel room key.
"Thank you." She replied taking it wanting nothing more than a nap.
"I hope your stay in Mystic Falls is pleasant." The girl smiled as Elena smiled back.
"Yeah I hope so too." She hoped taking her luggage and going up to her room wondering what Mystic Falls had in store for her next.
