A/N: Hi everyone! Right now this story is a jumble of ideas running around in my head. If there is any interest then I will go back and edit/move to write the story more fluidly and cleanly.

Chapter Two

"Who is that girl?" Clary asked while adjusting the skimpy leather outfit that Isabelle had left for her. She watched a girl spinning around on a hoop that was strung from the ceiling of the training room.

"Sienna, she doesn't talk much," Jace answered shortly and sighed as Clary was already walking over with Simon trailing behind her.

The girl noticed the redhead approaching and dropped gracefully from the hoop to the ground. She furrowed her eyes as the girl introduced herself. Her blue eyes began to change from blue to violet as she stared at the two new people that Jace had brought back from his mission.

Clary had extended her hand towards the shorter girl but pulled it back. Goosebumps ran down Clary's arms as she felt a breeze tickle her skin. "I'm Clary, I didn't think you people would have enjoyable hobbies," she spoke while motioning to the hoop. "What is it you're doing with your eyes, and did it just get cold in here? Clary continued to talk.

"Clary, we really should be going," Simon tugged on Clary's hand – creeped out from the glowing eyes of the short girl.

"Si does that to people she doesn't know," Isabelle came over and draped her arms around Sienna who blinked several times and looked up at Isabelle.

"What was she doing?" Clary questioned.

"Checking to make sure you aren't a threat," Alec chimed in as he walked over to where Isabella, Sienna and Jace were. Isabelle noticed Sienna's flush as Alec approached, and she smiled knowingly. The purple glow in Sienna's eyes vanished and the colour returned to blue as she locked eyes with Alec.

"She's confirmed you aren't a mundane, girl," Alec stated.

"What is she doing, like some superpower mind trick? Is she invading out minds? Can she control us?" Simon nervously questioned.

Sienna turned her gaze to him and lifted a thin brow, 'I can see into the mind of anyone if I want to. By the way, Simon, unrequited love is going to get you into trouble.'

Simon's eyes widened, and he backed out of the room, "That's an invasion of privacy. You should like, totally ask before doing that!" Simon began to panic, and the group of Shadowhunter's smirked.

"What did you tell him?" Alec leaned down to Sienna.

'Just that his love for Clary is going to get him into some trouble.'Sienna responded, turned her gaze up to the tall man.

"Tell him? I didn't hear her say anything," Clary looked at the group as if they had all grown four heads.

"She doesn't speak, but she can communicate telepathically," Jace answered. The group of them walked out to one of the control desks, and Alec began clicking away on the screen.

"I have to send a report of this to the Clave," Alec declared, glaring at the two mundanes.

"You know what, Alec, dial it down a notch," Jace spat annoyingly.

Isabella laughed, "My brother doesn't have a dial. I love you, Alec, but you have a switch that's always on."

"I love you too," Alec responded to Isabelle before turning to Clary and Simon, "But this, just-."

A warm hand on his arm had his sentence stopping halfway. Looking down at Sienna she motioned him to follow her as she took his arm and Isabelle latched onto his other, "Walk with us, big brother."

"You're both on their side?" He sighed, exasperated as the girls tugged him away.

Sienna stopped walking when they reached some seats and sat down across from the siblings. 'Alexander, I think they both have something important they need to do.'

Isabelle smiled as she looked between her brother and Sienna. She was the only one who got away calling Alec by his full name, "You need to give Clary a chance. She lost her mother. You have given others here a chance," Isabelle scolded.

Sienna was scowling while she and Alec seemed to be in a heated argument. Jace, and Isabelle watched them with amusement in their expressions. Clary was stunned as Alec seemed to be talking to himself.

"No, you aren't going on the mission with us, are you crazy?" Alec exclaimed, and there was a silent pause as Sienna seemed to be talking to him telepathically.

"You don't have training; you'll distract us in the field."

"No, your magic won-." Alec frowned as she scolded him with a hard expression.

"That doesn't-."

"Fine, do what you want." Alec growled in annoyance and looked at everyone. "Everyone get ready for tonight when we meet Magnus," he declared before leaving the group.

Isabelle walked over and took Sienna's arm in her own and walked away with her, "Si, I swear you have a death wish sometimes."

Sienna rolled her eyes as Isabelle dragged her to her bedroom to get them ready for the Downworlder rave.

"What's the relationship between Alec and Sienna?" Clary asked, confused about what she had just watched.

"Honestly? None of us are too sure," Jace answered shortly, "They met on a mission but have never given us any detail or report about what happened."

Clary furrowed her brows as she went to her room to sketch and wait for the party. Alec does not seem the type that would bring someone like that to the institute and not tell anyone about the reason, she thought to herself.

After an hour had passed, Clary made her way into Isabelle's room. Knocking on the door as she entered, "Jace said you wanted to see me?"

"That's right. What are you wearing to the Downworlder party tonight?" Isabelle asked while hair spraying Sienna's brown curls.

"I don't know. I was just thinking about wearing this," Clary motioned to her green t-shirt and jeans.

Isabelle laughed while shaking her head in disbelief, "I don't think so. No Downworlder would be caught dead in that." She rummaged her closet, "Plus, it's a party, not a poetry slam."

Clary frowned and crossed her arms, uncomfortably, "Well, I don't really have any party clothes with me, so."

"So, you'll have to wear mine," Isabelle declared as she pulled a black dress from a hanger to hold up for Clary.

"Okay, that dress is way too tight. Why not something like what Sienna is wearing?" Clary motioned to Sienna, who was wearing high waisted black shorts with a red lace bodice, a black leather jacket, stockings, and combat boots.

"It's stretchy, and anyway – you both have a style that'll work for each of you," Isabelle argued back, pushing the dress towards Clary, who looked to Sienna for help.

Sienna gave Clary a small smile and shrugged, 'Feel free to call me Si, instead of Sienna.'

"O-okay, ugh fine Izzy," Clary took the dress and went behind the wall divider to change.

Sienna picked up a pair of Isabelle's heels and placed them behind the divider with Clary, 'Try these, not as tall as what Iz had planned.'

After a minute of Clary wiggling herself into the dress, she came out and twirled in front of the girls. "I don't know, Isabelle, I think I'm more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl."

"But you're so lucky to have such a flat chest. I can never wear that without a bra," Isabelle sighed, looking Clary up and down.

"Someone's looking badass," Jace walked in abruptly, smirking as his eyes drank in Clary.

Sienna lifted a brow looking at Isabelle. They both nodded as they got up and walked to the door.

"She cleans up well. We are going to go see Alec. He never knows what to wear to these parties either," Isabelle pulled Sienna along from the room.

'Those two are head over heels, and they don't even realize it,'Sienna told Isabelle while shaking her head.

"They really are, aren't they?" Isabelle laughed while they walked over to where Alec was inspecting his arrows.

"Pick a weapon, I suggest your whip," Alec ordered as Isabelle took the arrow from his hand.

"What is wrong with you?" Isabelle asked and Sienna perched herself on the table. "We're going to a Downworlder's rave. You should be a little more excited!"

"It's a mission, Izzy, not a party. I guess it's pointless for me to ask you again to stay behind," Alec looked over to Sienna and had to catch his mouth from dropping. The timid girl that was always with him at the institute who wore over sized sweaters, leggings and always kept her hair messy was now all dressed up. Alec almost would not recognize her if it were not for the features of her face.

Sienna shook her head and smirked, 'Stop drooling Alec.' She teased as she hopped up from her spot and left the siblings.

Alec stared after her and looked at Isabelle with wide eyes, "You're rubbing off on her."

Isabelle was laughing so hard she was wiping tears from her eyes, "Is that a bad thing?"

"I don't know," Alec mumbled and rubbed his neck.
