Kylie got out of bed excitedly. It was finally Saturday, the she planned on camping at Mako Island. Kylie loved the outdoors, and nature. Camping was one of her favorite activities. And it's not like she had anything better to do on Saturday anyway. Kylie has no friends, the only people in her life were her mother, and younger sister. He dad has passed away two years ago. It was still hard for Kylie, but life goes on. She distracted herself by reading about mermaids. Kylie believed in them more than anything. Mainly because she saw one when she was seven. He remembers telling her mom about it, but her mom didn't believe her. I mean, who believes a seven year old? No one.

But Kylie was so excited to be camping on Mako. Especially since she was alone this time. Kylie walked down the stairs of her house. Her house was pretty small; two bedrooms on the top floor with only one bathroom. Her parents bedroom was down stairs. The living room had a TV, one couch, one chair, and a coffee table. The kitchen was super tight, which is a problem for Kylie since she loves to cook. But she manages. The stairs lead right to the front door. "Bye mom, I'm going out!"

"Okay, just be careful, and be back by lunch to get your camping stuff!" Her mom shouted back.

Kylie left their house, and walked toward her favorite cafe.

Horatio left his house for work. They house was a tiny house. There were two lofts, one small kitchen, and a small living room. But that was all they needed. Horatio lived with his thirty-four-year-old cousin. He had adopted him when both Horatio's parents had died when he was ten. Horatio missed them, but he moved on. Now he had a brand new life. After seeing a mermaid when he was nine, that's where he put most of his time when he turned eleven. He tried to find mermaids in the water, looked up everything about them, but could never find anything on a half-mermaid, half-human. He always remembered the mermaid's name, it was on her name tag. But Cleo was no where to be found. She stopped working there after she graduated high school. He always wanted to find her, but never did. Anyways, back to reality. Horatio put mermaids behind him once he got a job. After swimming so much looking for mermaids, he became an excellent swimmmer. So, he got a job at a water park named Splash City as a life guard.

He only made one friend, her name was Clover. He really like Clover. Not as more than a friend, or anything. But kind of like the sister he never had. They dated for a year, but they both decided it wasn't working out, and moved on. They remained friends. He didn't want to lose his sister-like friend.

Horatio loved his job as a life guard. It was the best job in the world. Spending almost everyday by a pool was amazing, and getting paid for it was even better.

Today he couldn't wait to get off work though. He was looking forward to heading out to sea to do some swimming in the ocean. He couldn't wait to see what he could find. Just five hours to go.

Jackson was excited for today. Today was the day he was finally allowed to go fishing out sea by himself. He couldn't wait. The first thing he did was eat breakfast. "Hey mom," he greeted sitting down at the dining room table.

"Hi sweetheart," she kissed his head, "are you excited for today?"

"You bet!" He exclaimed. "I can't wait to go fishing by myself!"

His mom smiled, "well, you better eat your breakfast, and get ready, if you want to spend the whole day out there."

Jackson couldn't wait, he ate his meal in fifteen minutes, and then went up stairs to get dressed.

As soon as he was ready, he raced out the door, and headed straight for the boating docks.

Once he reach his dad's boat, he got in, put his fishing stuff down, and started it up. He was about to leave, but he heard someone shout. "Aw come on!"

Jackson got out of his boat, and walked over to where the noise was coming from. He saw a guy, he couldn't have been older than late twenties. The guy was having trouble with his boat. He couldn't get it to start. "What's wrong with it?" Jackson asked the blond haired guy.

The guy looked over, and saw Jackson, a thirteen-year-old-boy standing there looking at him curiously. "It won't start," he responded, cautiously. It wasn't that he was scared of him, or anything. But the guy wasn't used to little kids talking to him. They usually just ran away.

"I meant why," Jackson said.

"I don't know," the guy told him.

"Is it okay if I look at it," Jackson asked.

"Knock yourself out... um." The guy looked at him.

"Oh, Jackson,"

"Lewis,"

Jackson climbed on board, and took a look at Lewis's engine. He pulled at once, and it started.

Lewis stared at him in shock. "How did you do that?"

"I just didn't pull it as hard, it's not rocket science." Jackson told Lewis, and then got off the boat.

"Well, thank you so much." Lewis responded.

"My pleasure, bye!" Jackson said back.

"Bye," Lewis waved at him.

Jackson went back to his boat, but before be able to start it, he saw four ladies walking on the docks. Two had blond hair, and the other one had brown hair. But the tan one with blond hair caught his eye. He remember her. She help him build a sand castle after she ruined the he made. He saw her use some sort of power to make a jelly heart. He really wanted to say something to her, but what was he supposed to say. "Hey I saw you use powers." That's crazy talk. Jackson just decided to move on, and maybe confront her later. That's only if he saw her again.

Kylie entered Rikki's; her favorite cafe. She walked up to counter, and ordered her favorite smoothie; blueberry, and mango with a little mint. She loves this cafe, it was one of her favorite places. The same people serving you, the band playing music sometimes, and the nice tables, and seats. It was awesome. She found her favorite spot, which was a small table near the counter. And waited for her smoothie. The manger, and lady who this place was named after, gave Kylie her smoothie. "Here you go,"

"Thanks Rikki," Kylie responded.

Rikki smiled, Kylie always said her name after she gave her her drink. She really liked that kid. She was a regular customer, and always complemented all the staff here. Rikki was hoping her kids would turn out like her.

"Also, congratulations on your third child!" Kylie shouted after a little while.

Rikki was now officially pregnant with her third child. But the only thing on Rikki's mind was how Kylie saw right through her. She was like a magician, or something. Either way, Rikki still liked her.

As soon as Kylie was done with her drink, she payed, and left her genorous tip of twenty dollars. She left, and went home to get her camping stuff for Mako.

"Hey mom, hey sis," she greeted her family while walking up the stairs. "Just came home to get my camping stuff."

She grabbed her ladybug tent, her light blue sleeping bag, and her nature books. Kylie went back down stairs, and into the kitchen to grab freeze dried food. She kissed her mom, and sister good bye, and left the house. She headed straight for boat rentals.
