Chat's Head
Chat sighed in adoration. Tonight's patrol might've felt uneventful to Ladybug, but he'd have to disagree.
Patrol was important to him. For him, it was an escape, something he did to get away from the cruelties of his civilian life. He looked forward to it every time, especially the nights he could spend patrol with his partner.
Those patrols spent with Ladybug were his favorite. He felt less alone having a friend with him, someone who he felt he could be his self around. And, though he often got distracted by her, her chiding was often worth it.
"Pay attention, Chaton," she told him, with a small smile. Her voice seemed so full of warmth and care, and it always filled him with happiness. Another reason he loved patrol with Ladybug.
Reality
"Pay attention, Chat!" Ladybug rolled her eyes.
"I can't help it, you're just too mewtiful!" he replied.
Ladybug scoffed, turning her head away. "W-Whatever. There might be criminals on the loose." She took out her yoyo, and began to swing to the next roof over.
Chat's Head
Chat admired her grace as she expertly tossed her yoyo to the building opposite them. She was almost ethereal as she leapt up into the air, and seemed to soar to the other side.
As she landed, she elegantly dipped close to the floor and became hidden behind the brick rooftop.
Reality
Ladybug thought getting away from Chat would help her burning face, but she was wrong. She knew Chat was looking when she fanned her self, and, with little to no grace, clumsily threw yoyo across the street, clipped the edge of a chimney with her foot, and slid down the side of the roof.
Chat's Head
He probably had heart eyes, by now.
Reality
Ladybug laid there, still fanning herself, trying to get it together, while wondering how much of that he saw.
A/N: hi! Sorry it has been so long! I hope this story wasn't too confusing, I wrote it very quickly because I haven't posted in a while. Also, I promise I am trying my hardest to post a new chapter of Super Sleuths. When break starts, I will probably get more chapters out than I am now. I know that doesn't make much sense because most of us stay at home all day (but for some reason my neighbors think it's okay to have guests over every single fudging day of the week, no joke) right now, but I have to focus on my grades.
Anyways, thanks for checking out my story! It makes my day. Please stay healthy and safe, have a good rest of the day! :-)
