Claire took small gasps of air and leaned on her knees before looking up at the building in front of her. The Raccoon City Police Department. Hopefully she can find some answers to where Chris is. She just hoped Leon made it out okay. When in a zombie apocalypse, two is better than one. At least you'll know someone's got your back. Claire looked over her shoulder at the gate she just shut and shook her head. This was not what she expected when she came to visit Raccoon City. Traffic jams? Definitely. Zombie Apocalypse? Hell no.

"Okay. Let's do this."

The redhead checked her revolver and grimaced upon finding out that she only had three shots left but can you blame her? She didn't bring the gun with her for a zombie apocalypse. She brought it for self-defense. Chris made sure of that. Unfortunately, she was low on bullets and surrounded by who knows how many zombies. Like Leon said, it was a big city. The question is: How many are dead and how many of them stay that way? What a fucking nightmare.

Claire shook her head and walked over to the main entrance of the station before opening the door. She stepped inside and couldn't help but wonder once more why the police station looked like a museum instead of a, well, police station. Seriously. She's seen some police stations before, mostly from the T.V of course, and none of them looked like this. It did have a certain appeal to it though. She then realized something.

The radio broadcast told them that R.P.D provided shelter, food and medical supplies. Shouldn't there be more people around? More cops? Instead, the place looks deserted and the outside of the station was crawling with those things. Shouldn't there be someone, like, standing guard outside and clearing the area of zombies? There was also the fact that there are some empty crates, boxes and hospital curtains as well as a few gurneys but not a single living person there other than her. She had a bad feeling about all this and kept her finger close to the trigger of her pistol.

"Anybody here!?"

She waited for anyone to respond but she got nothing. Claire sighed and looked to her right to see a First-aid Spray lying on top of a crate.

"This could come in handy."

The redhead grabbed the can and made her way over to the front desk. She saw a handgun on the desk and took it before checking if it's loaded. Fortunately for her, it was and there was a box of bullets there as well. She then found a drop leg holster on top of one of the crates and grabbed it before placing it around her right thigh and putting her newly acquired pistol in it. Claire took the bullets from the box and reloaded her SLS Revolver before walking over to the laptop with the screen showing the logo of R.P.D.

Claire pressed Enter on the keyboard and the screen changed from the logo to a window showing a feed from the cameras around the station though there were a few that showed only static.

"C'mon, Chris. Where are you?"

She looked the feed before settling on CAM4 when she saw something flash and enlarged the window to CAM4. It showed a cop running away from a zombie before holding out a notebook at the camera. Unfortunately, this distracted him from the zombie who grabbed him. The cop managed to push it away but dropped his pistol and flashlight in the proces.

"Send reinforcements. East Hallway!"

"East Hallway. Okay. Where is that?"

She opened up a map of the station before making her way to the shutter door close to the main entrance. The shutter door was closed and a sign that says 'KEEP OUT' was taped on the front. Considering the blood underneath the shutter, she knew this was a bad idea but the guy looked like he really needed the help. Plus, maybe he can help her find Chris. So without delay, Claire walked over to the lever on the side of the shutter door and pulled it. Unfortunately, the shutter door was only raised a quarter of the way and the redhead had to resort to crawlimg underneath it.

Steeling herself, Claire went prone and crawled underneath the shutter door, trying not to think of the fact she was crawling on blood and guts.

"Focus, Claire. Focus."

Once she was through, Claire got up from the bloody ground and held up the flashlight she picked up from the gas station before navigating her way to the Watchman's Room. She walked down the bloody corridor and turned right before passing by the Press Room and found the rest of the corridor was blocked by a metal closet that was wedged on a shelf adjacent to it.

"Okay. Let's do this."

Claire walked over to the closet and placed her hands on the closet's door before pushing it to the side. The redhead grunted as the heavy metal closet barely budged until she decided to just go underneath it. Once she was under the closet, she leaned her back on the closet doors pushing it with her back. Sure enough, Claire succeeded in righting the closet and continued down the end of the corridor before turning right and came upon the sight of a massacre.

The area around the Watchman's Room was covered in blood and there were dead bodies lying on the ground. The window was shattered. There was a dismembered corpse to the side, one sitting back on the wall close to the window and the one in the middle was torn open and his innards were spilling out from his stomach. It looked like Jason Voorhees came through there and just went into town with these poor bastards.

"Oh my God... "

She was shaken from her thoughts when she heard banging from inside the Watchman's Room.

"OPEN UP! HURRY! OPEN UP!"

Claire ran inside and burst through the door before making her way to the shutter door.

"I'm here!"

The redhead crouched down and placed her fingers underneath the shutter door before trying to lift it open but it was harder than it looks.

"OPEN THE DOOR! HURRY UP! HURRY UP, OPEN THE DOOR!"

"I'm trying!"

She managed to lift the shutter door a quarter of the way before the cop's habd popped out from underneath. Claire grabbed it and began pulling as the cop crawled out from underneath the shutter.

"Hold on. Give me- " Claire almost slipped from the puddle of blood on the ground but managed to regain her footing "Give me your other hand!"

The cop rolled to his back and Claire grabbed his other hand before pulling him out. Unfortunately, the zombie from behind the door grabbed him and started tearing his abdomen apart before all the struggling caused the shutter door to close. The cop screamed bloody murder as the redhead tried to get him out but when she did, the cop was torn in two and his innards trailed behind him as his lower half was left on the other side.

"Oh... Oh my God! I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

But the cop didn't reply. Hell, he wasn't even moving. Claire staggered back until her back hit the wall and she just sat there, looking at the person she couldn't save. Maybe if she had help, she could've saved him. If she and Leon hadn't got separated... Oh God. Leon! She had to find him.

Claire jolted when the zombie behind the shutter door started banging on it. She moved to leave but saw the notebook next to the cop's hand. He was holding onto it for dear life when she tried to get him out. Grabbing the small notebook, Claire got up to her feet and moved to get out of the Watchman's Room as fast as she can but she heard banging against the door she came through and raised her pistol at the door. A second later, the door opened and a zombie nearly fell over after it used it's body to forcefully open the door.

The redheaded didn't hesitate and pulled the trigger. A bullet struck the side of it's face and a second one hit it right in the center of it's forehead before the zombie slowly fell backwards to the ground. Not caring if it was really dead or not, Claire ran for the Main Hall. She, however, took note that the door to East Office was chain locked. Maybe a pair of bolt cutters would do the trick, if she ever wanted to get back in this wing that is.

She reached the area where she had to move a closet and found a pair of zombies blocking her path. The two saw her and limped towards Claire who ran inside the Press Room. It was dark inside the room but she did find the light switch before looking around for something. A gun. A police baton. A tazer. Hell, anything!

Although she didn't find any of those, what she did find was another box of bullets from underneath a corpse. She reloaded her pistol and placed the remaining seven bullets in her back pocket before aiming her weapon at the double doors.

"C'mon, you assholes."

The double doors were pushed open and Claire was about to pull the trigger but the two zombies from the corridor tripped over each other and piled up. Seeing her opportunity, Claire ran for the exit and hopped on the zombie's back and before making her escape. And she didn't have to waste any of her ammo.

Claire made it back to the shuttee door of the Main Hall and quickly crawled underneath. She was almost out when a zombie managed to grab on to her leg. The redhead tried to kick it in the face but the zombie was undeterred from her attempts.

"Get off! Get off!"

Desperate, she started calling for help. Hoping someone, anyone, could hear her. Her heart was beating rapidly, wondering if this was how she was gonna die. She felt someone grab her shoulder and thought this was it but instead, whoever grabbed her quickly pulled her out from underneath the shutter door before grabbing her underneath her arms and dragged her away from the door. Claire suddenly found herself sitting up against a crate and looked to the shutter door as a man in a white t-shirt, jeans and body armor crushed the zombie's head by slamming the shutter door on it.

A finger was snapped in front of her and she heard a voice, a woman's voice, to her left and looked to see a woman with short, brown hair speaking to her though she was still reeling from what just happened to understand what was the woman saying. She felt the woman shake her shoulder before she could hear what she was saying clearly.

"Ma'am, are you alright? Did the zombie bite you?"

"I-I'm fine. It didn't." She managed to stutter out as Claire tried to calm her rapidly beating heart. That was too close. If they hadn't arrived... she shook her head and focused on the woman who asked her another question.

"Good. Any injuries we should know about?"

"No. Nothing."

The woman sighed in relief and rose to her feet. She held out a hand for Claire to take and the redhead accepted it before she was pulled up to her feet. Now that everything was calm, she got a good look at the woman. She wore a tight, black shirt with the logo of the Umbrella Corporation on the shoulder. An olive green vest with a dozen pouches on the front and black gloves. Tiger striped camo pants, black knee pads and black military boots. In the woman's hands was an assault rifle. She was snapped out of her observations when the woman questioned her.

"Ma'am, what's your name?"

"Claire. Claire Redfield."

"Redfield?"

Claire looked to the man who killed the zombie and wondered why he looked somewhat familiar. The man studied her face before his eyes widened in recognition.

"Holy shit. You are Chris' sister."

"Wait. You know my brother? Where is he? Is he here? Is he safe?"

"Whoa. Whoa. Take it easy there, Claire." The woman tried to calm her down before telling her to sit on the leather couch "Let's take this slow, alright? Alan."

The man, Alan, nodded before looking at Claire.

"If you're looking to visit your brother, you sure as hell picked the wrong time to do it. He's been on vacation somewhere in Europe weeks ago. Paris maybe? I don't know. Lucky bastard, really. He didn't have to go through all this shit."

That was good news. Chris was safe. In Europe. Probably dating some European chick and trying his corny 'pick-up lines' she heard him use once or twice. But that also meant, she came here for nothing. At least she met Leo- Leon!

"Oh my God. Leon. He said we'll meet up here in the station. We met up at a gas station just outside of the city. There were zombies out there and we thought the police station might have answers. We got separated on the way and promised to meet up here. I gotta find him."

"Hey. Hey. Hey. Hold your horses, Redfield." Alan stopped her from getting up and gently sat her back down "Let's be calm and think. So you and a cop named Leon... "

Claire looked at Alan as the man stopped himself before rubbing the bridge of his nose then looked back at Claire.

"He wouldn't happen to be Leon Kennedy?"

"Yeah. That's him. Why do you ask?"

The man groaned and turned away, rubbing the back of his head in frustration.

"Oh, that's just fucking great. Real fucking great!"

~Line Break~

As Alan cursed and was in his own little world, Sara looked over at Claire and decided to introduce herself and Alan. Before she did, Sara observed the young woman before her. Brown hair tied into a messy ponytail. A red leather jacket over a black shirt with a grey undershirt. When she pulled Claire away from the shutter, she saw the design on the back of the jacket. An angel with devil horns straddling an RPG with the words 'Made In Heaven' written in cursive underneath the image. She wore a pair of dark jeans with a drop leg holster that had a Hp3 pistol secured in it on her right hip and a pair of black biker boots.

"Alright, Claire. The name's Sara. Sara Parker. I'm part of the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service or U.B.C.S for short. My friend over there is Alan Abernathy. He's a former S.W.A.T that was supposed to leave the city before it got put on lockdown. Care to tell what's happening outside?"

"There are zombies everywhere and I haven't seen anyone else that's not a zombie out there. If there weren't any undead around, it would've looked like a ghost town."

"Figures." Sara sighed "Anything else?"

"The whole station's surrounded by zombies."

"Of course it is. Well. No use standing around here. C'mon, let's go find your friend. Hey, Alan! Stop fingering yourself and help us find the Rookie."

Claire raised a brow and looked at Sara.

"Rookie?"

"Yeah. Rookie. He didn't tell you?" Sara asked "Alan told us that the officers told a rookie to stay away from the city when the quarantine hit. The 'Cannibal Disease' was spreading, people were rioting, looting and whatever. Alan thought the Rookie would be safe but it seems not."

"Doesn't matter." Alan joined them "We find Kennedy then we get the hell outta here. I tried contacting Carlos and Tyrell but I all I got is static."

The former cop's eyes landed on the revolver Claire was holding then to the holstered gun on her hip before motioning at it with his rifle.

"You got any ammo for that?"

"I got six bullets left in my back pocket."

Alan hummed before making his way over to a large box behind the front desk. He opened it and rummaged inside before taking something out and rejoining the other two.

"Here. This will help you store ammo properly."

He held out a tactical belt with four pouches for ammo, a weapon holster and a radio. Claire thanked him before putting the belt around her waist and taking the bullets out of her back pocket and putting it into one of the pouches then holstered her revolver. The redhead then remembered something and took out the notebook the cop had from her jacket pocket. She opened the notebook and wondered why there were drawings of the statues and some coins or whatever.

"Uh, can you tell me what this all means? I tried to save a cop back at the Watchman's Room and he was holding on to this."

Alan took the notebook and examined it. Taking his time at every page before looking at the statue in the center of the room. The former cop then flipped the notebook and started explaining to them the contents inside.

"Okay. So there's a secret passage underneath that statue. Don't ask me why. I just worked here. Didn't even know about it until now. It looks like it leads to the Parking Garage on the other side of the station."

"I know the place." Sara cut in "Jill and I passed it when we were getting back to the subway."

"Why were you going to the subway?" Claire asked.

Alan looked at Sara who sighed and looked back at the former cop before nodding and turning back to Claire.

"Last night, the remainder of the platoon I was with converted some subway cars into shelter. We rounded up some civilians there and got help getting the station back up and running. A few hours after the train left and we were looking for some scientist here, we got a call from Jill telling us the train derailed." Her fist clenched "Everyone but her is dead."

"Oh my God."

"Look." Sara shook her head "It's over and done. We have to- to focus on the here and now. Okay?"

She didn't give the redhead anytime to answer before asking Alan what's next.

"Okay. There are these medallions and we need them to get that statue up. These medallions can be found if with the other statues. There are slots on those statues that we need to line up correctly or something like that. Elliot didn't explain much. Looks like he was in a hurry." Alan explained before looking at the two women seriously "Looks like we have our objectives. Find these statues, get the medallions, return here. Maybe find Kennedy along the way. Clear?"

"Crystal/Understood."

"Alright. The Lion Statue's just over at the second floor. But let's go over our weapons and ammo first." Alan set his rifle down on the table "I'll assume you know how to use those guns considering who your brother is but you're gonna need more than a side arm."

Alan unslung the W-870 from his back and placed it on the front desk. He nodded over at Sara who then reached into one of her pouches and placed a row of shotgun shells on the table before looking at Claire and held up one of the shotgun shells.

"12 gauge shells. You can fit four shells into the shotgun and you have twenty reserve shells. Keep it for close encounter, baby. Oh, and I suggest aiming for the head."

Sara grabbed the shotgun and quickly loaded it with four shells before handing it to the redhead. Claire took the gun and familiarized herself with it before taking the shells and placing it inside a separate pouch. The U.B.C.S Medic then took out five magazines for Claire's handgun and handed it to the redhead.

"For the pistol."

"But what about you?"

"I don't need the shells and I got plenty of ammo for my side arm. You're gonna need it, Red."

Claire nodded and took the offered magazines.

"Thanks."

"Alright, guys. You guys ready?"

"Yeah/Lock and load."

"Good." Alan nodded before motioning for the stairs "On me. We're moving out."

The trio made their way up the stairs and walked over to the Lion Statue before Alan pulled away the large sheet covering it. Claire looked over the slots before asking what the right combination was. Alan took out the notebook and flipped through the pages before finding the right one.

"It's a crown, a torch and a bird."

As soon as Claire put in the right combination, the shield the lion was holding on to opened up and revealed the nedallion with a lion crest. Claire took the medallion before handing it over to Sara who then placed it into one of her many pouches.

"Okay. That's that. What's next?" Claire asked.

"Hmm. Unicorn Statue. That's in the Lounge."

Alan closed the notebook and put it back in his back pocket.

"We'll take the route through Reception and it'll be smooth sailing from there. We cleared out some of the infected in the West Wing and boarded some windows but we couldn't board all of 'em. There might be some zombies that got inside but we can take care of 'em easily." The former cop explained and the redhead nodded.

"Then let's go."

~Line Break~

"That... wasn't there before."

The trio of survivors found themselves in front of a large hole on the 3rd Floor of R.P.D's West Wing. The three shared a look before Alan and Sara moved in first, weapons raised and fingers on triggers. Inside looked like an office, maybe a janitor's? But why would there be a large shelf full of books? Claire didn't know and frankly, she didn't care. A few seconds later, Alan motioned for her to follow and Claire walked inside.

The redhead found a key on the table with a statue that looked like it belonged to an art museum. She pocketed the key while the other two cautiously opened the door and moved in. Alan led the way, pointing his weapon that had a flashlight taped on the barrel in front of him. They were about to reach the end of the hall when something big and fast passed the window outside.

"What the hell was that?"

"I couldn't get a good look at it but I have a hunch."

Alan shared a look with the U.B.C.S mercenary and the woman spoke sighed.

"Oh that's just fucking great."

"What is it?"

"When we first came here, we encountered something worse than a zombie. It didn't have any skin and it's brain covered half it's head. Big claws and a set of razor sharp teeth with a very long tongue. Nasty fucker. Keep watch. The fucker liked to crawl on the ceiling."

Claire grimaced as she followed the two, gripping her weapon tightly as they turned the corner. They came upon a dead end but there was a note placed on top of one of the boxes used to block the corridor. She grabbed it and read the contents before looking at the other two after she finished reading.

"Looks like whoever put this up called those things 'Lickers' and said they're blind as a bat."

Sara scoffed.

"Fitting."

"Sara. Claire. Over here."

The two looked over to Alan as he opened the door before entering. They followed after him and found the only way to describe the room was 'messy'.

"This is the West Storage Room. The Maiden Statue should be somewhere around here. Keep yours eye open."

Together, the trio moved cautiously around the storage room in search of the statue. They passed by a body hanging from the ceiling. There was also something growing out from some of the corners of the walls and the three dared not to find out. Soon they came across a barred area with a wooden barricade that had a brick of C4 planted on it. On the other side was the Maiden Statue. Unfortunately, there was no detonator attached to the C4.

"Damnit." Alan cursed before looking at the other two "It needs a detonator."

"Hey, Alan. You might wanna take a look at this."

The former cop walked over to the bars to see what Sara was looking at and was shocked at seeing the bodies inside. What he first noticed was that a majority of the bodies were cops and only a few looked like civilians. The other thing he noticed was that they didn't die as zombies. They died from gunshots.

"What the fuck happened here?"

"Uh, guys."

The two looked over to Claire and the redhead looked sick at what she just read. She handed Alan the papers and the former cop read the contents out loud.

"Damn those corporate assholes! They cut me off! After all I've done for them! But if that's how it's gonna be, so be it. I'm gonna have a little fun of my own as the world goes to shit.

I boarded all those filthy pigs up in a steel pen, and set some C4. All I gotta do isdetonateit and it's "sayonara suckers!"

He moved on to the next page.

"But it's no fun if it's over too soon, so maybe I'll give that one a raving loon something to really squeal about.

Yeah, maybe I'll give him a little toy and tell him, "Kill the guy next to you and I'll spare the others." I wonder what he'll do?"

Sara sneered in disgust. What kind of sick fuck would do this? Despite sharing her thoughts, Alan continued reading.

"You yell about "justice" and "pride" but how many times did you go against me, your own superior?

Yeah, you're such a good cop... So good you had to die.

Man is this fun. I need some music for this."

Alan lowered the papers and looked over his shoulder at the bodies inside before looking back at the papers. The guy mentioned corporate assholes and being R.P.D's superior. That was all he needed to know to who this fucking bastard is. Police Chief Brian Irons. His fists clenched and he crumpled the papers in his hands before throwing it away. The other two noticed his expression but didn't wanna be on the receiving end of the man's anger.

"Worthless piece of fucking shit." Alan cursed "I'm gonna fucking kill him. I swear to God. If I find the fat fuck, I'm gonna throw him to the fucking zeds!"

"Whoa. Whoa. Alan, slow down. What and who the hell are you talking about?" Sara tried to calm the man down.

"Who else would I be talking about!? The sick asshole that did this! Brian Irons. The fucking Police Chief of R.P.D!"

That silenced Sara before she could even say a word. Claire was shocked that the police chief would do this to his own men. To his subordinates. And for what? Why would he do this?

"The crazy bastard's gonna pay."

"Alan, stop and think for a second!" Sara yelled as she pushed the taller man back "He's not here and that C4 is still there. He could be dead for all we know. Pull your head out of your goddamn ass and focus on the mission!"

Alan looked ready to protest but settled for a grimace and a deep, calming breaths. A few moments later, the former cop finally calmed down and got his head straight.

"Okay. Alright. I'm calm. I'm cool. I'm fine." Alan ran a hand through his hair before looking at Claire "Sorry about that, Redfield."

"It's okay. I understand."

"Thank you." Alan nodded before looking back to the way they came "Alright. Let's find a detonator and blow that thing open. Let's go."

The former cop briskly walked out of the room through the door to his right, finding himself on the upper part of the Library. The two wordlessly followed after him before Alan turned to face them.

"Let's head back to the Main Hall and open the door of the Library on the second floor. We'll put that medallion in the statue then we go back into looking for a detonator. But first, we go to the Lounge and get the Unicorn Medallion. Understand?"

"Got it./Understood."

"Alright. Let's go."

~Line Break~

After they cleared out the Library of any zombies and retrieve the Unicorn Medallions, the trio unlocked the door leading to the second floor of the Main Hall before making their way down to the large statue in the middle. While Claire and Alan placed the medallions to the statue's slots, Sara went to grab the laptop and see what made the hole on the third floor. She brought it over to the coffee table close to the statue and set it down before taking a seat on the couch.

They had placed Marvin's body into one of the gurneys and covered it with a sheet since they had no time to give him a proper burial. Sara opened up the camera feeds and looked through all the cameras to see if she can spot the whatever made that hole. However, Sara found something at CAM5 and called over the other two.

"What is it?" Claire asked.

"Look who decided to show up to the party."

Sara enlarged the window before turning the laptop towards them. Alan and Claire saw someone standing outside in the rain while trying to look for a way in. Claire's eyes widened when she saw who it was.

"Leon!"

"I figured." Sara snorted before looking up at the other two "He's just outside East Wing's Fire Escape. The door's probably locked and there's no other way for him to get inside. The zombies will be closing in on him soon so I suggest we get moving now."

"Wait, Redfield. Get back- Ah." Alan shook his head and looked back at Sara "Teenagers."

Sara simply replied with a chuckle before grabbing her rifle and the two tried to catch up with the redhead. Who knew Claire was a fast runner?

~Line Break~

"Jesus Christ."

Leon looked up at the police chopper that crashed into the side of the building. So much for getting extracted via helicopter. Now he was glad that he couldn't open the door to the Fire Escape but that still leaves the problem on how the hell was he gonna get in there. He heard a door open and looked up to see a familiar red jacket. A part of him was relieved that she made it. Thank God for small miracles right.

"HEY! CLAIRE!?"

The redhead turned away from the crash and looked down before spotting the Rookie cop.

"LEON!? Hang on, I'll be right there!"

Claire ran down the stairs of the fire escape and made her way over to the wire fence. She stopped and in front of the wire mesh door which Leon was trying to pull open. Seeing him again, alive and not one of those freaks, brought a smile on her face and relief in her heart.

"Leon, we really gotta stop meeting like this."

"You alright? Are you hurt?"

"I should be asking you that." Claire smiled at his concern "I'm fine. And guess what? I found out where my brother is. He's in Europe on vacation. He's safe."

"That's great!" Leon grinned but it dropped when he looked back at the handle of the door and tried to open the door once more "I take it you don't have a key with you."

"Sorry. But it's good to see your face though. How are you holding up?"

"I'm... hanging in there."

"Helluva night, huh?"

Claire gave a lopsided smirk which Leon returned with a boyish smile.

"Yeah. Helluva night."

A moment passed between them where everything was silent... until the helicopter decided to explode and the station's loud fire alarm went off. The two jumped at the sound of the explosion and looked up at the burning remains of the helicopter before someone kicked open the door from the fire escape. A man in a white shirt and armor leaned out from the balcony and looked down at them.

"Hey! You guys okay?"

"We're good!" Claire yelled back "We can't get this door open. Do you know where the key to this thing?"

"Yeah. There's a room back down there with a key hanging on the inside of one of the lockers." The man in white pointed to the route Leon took to get here. He knew what room the man was talking about "Get that key then get your ass back here fast. We got company."

Leon turned around to see the explosion and the fire alarm had attracted the attention of the zombies outside who then began banging on the fence. It wouldn't be long before they would break through.

"Get to that key. We'll provide covering fire from here." The man raised an Assault Rifle and began shooting at the infected on the fence "Go!"

Leon looked back to Claire and nodded before making a run for the room. Unfortunately, the explosion also woke up the zombies that were 'asleep', for the lack of a better term, and they started to slowly rise up.

"You gotta be kidding."

The Rookie ran past the zombies and made a beeline straight for the room. He kicked open the door and looked for the key the man was talking about and saw the open locker with the key hanging on the door. He grabbed it but saw the insides of the locker where a folded police uniform was rested on the locker's shelf. Leon shook his head and exited the room. No time to waste dressing up. Besides, there's probably more uniforms inside the station, right?

Leon ran up the stairs but stopped before he could reach the top as a zombie stood in his way. He quickly aimed the Matilda at it's head and pulled the trigger. The bullet struck the zombie in the head and caused it to crumple in a heap before falling down the stairs. Leon stepped aside as the body tumbled down the stairs before resuming his pace. Unfortunately, there were three more blocking his path and the Rookie let out a frustrated sigh.

"I don't have time for this."

Pretty soon the fence would give in and the area would be swarming with infected but at least the man was thinning them out, buying him time. Leon aimed at the closest zombie's head and fired his weapon before kicking it back. The second one he shot in the knee caps and let it fall into the ground before jumping over it. He ducked underneath the third one as it tried to grab him and made a beeline for the door. Once there, he quickly fished out the key from his pocket and placed the key in the lock. Before he could open it, Claire suddenly aimed her pistol at him.

"Get down!"

Leon ducked and Claire pulled the trigger, hitting the zombie behind him in the head. He looked back at the redhead and smiled.

"Thanks."

"I try."

The Rookie chuckled before opening the door and going inside just as the zombies broke through the fence. Claire shut the door and locked it while Leon grabbed a metal barrel with a a pair of bolt cutters on top and used it to block the door.

"Hey, Rookie."

Leon looked up at the man as he reloaded his weapon.

"Grab that bolt cutters. It could be useful. You're gonna have to go through the East Hallway to get back to the Main Hall, Redfield. Stairs are blocked by the chopper's tail. We'll wait up for you by the door."

"Alright. See you guys there."

The man nodded before leaving. Leon walked over to the door and saw the chain and lock before using the bolt cutters to cut the chain in two. He opened the door and went in first before Claire followed close behind.

"Claire, who was that guy?" The Rookie decided to ask. He was dressed like a civilian but you can hear the military in the man.

"Alan. He's a retired cop. S.W.A.T, actually. Him and Sara saved me from becoming zombie chow. Hey, Leon." Claire unslung the shotgun and handed it to the Rookie "I think you might get a handle of this better than I can."

"Thanks, Claire." Leon holstered his weapon and took the shotgun "For this and back there."

"I guess we're even then."

"We're even." Leon slung the shotgun before making his way down the corridor. Along the way, he spotted a door with a chain lock as well before using the bolt cutters to snap the chain in two. He opened the door but stopped and looked over his shoulder at Claire "Do you have a flashlight with you?"

The redhead nodded before taking out her flashlight and turning it on. She flashed the light in to the room and Leon moved up. The two entered East Office with Leon on the right and Claire on his left who lighted the way in front of him. Once inside, the zombies within started limping their way. While they were still a distance away, Leon switched to his side arm and shot at the zombies with Claire doing the same.

Killing two zombies, they made a beeline for the door at the far end of the room as the zombies outside started banging on the window. Before they left, Claire grabbed a fuse from the table and told him that they needed it for the door. Considering that she was here longer than him, he didn't ask. They exited East Office and made their way down the bloody corridor towards the shutter door to the Main Hall. Claire put the fuse in the fuse box but was unaware of the zombie behind her.

Meanwhile Leon was shooting at the zombies down the corridor and looked over his shoulder to see the zombie close in behind Claire. Not even hesitating, Leon ran towards the zombie and bashed his shoulder against it. Claire heard the crash behind her to see Leon getting up from the ground before taking out the shotgun and firing it point blank at the zombie on the ground's head.

They heard the shutter door opening and looked over to see it slowly rising up. Without waiting for it to fully open, Leon and Claire ducked underneath it just as the zombies closed in. When they made it to the other side, they heard a set of gunfire and Leon looked to the source to see the man from before accompanied this time by a woman in black and wearing a vest with numerous pouches. Both were wielding Assault Rifles and were shooting down the zombies before they could reach the door.

"Someone shut the fucking door!"

Leon jumped to his feet and ran over to the lever on the side of the door before pulling it. The light turned red and the shutter door began descending. When only a quarter of the door was exposed, the woman took out a grenade and threw it underneath the shutter. The grenade exploded five seconds after the shutter door closed.

"Hey, Rookie."

Said Rookie turned around to face the man, Alan, as he reloaded his weapon before looking at Leon.

"Mind telling me what the hell are you doing here? The guys told you to stay away from the city so why are you here?"

Alan crossed his arms as Leon opened his mouth to answer. This better be good.

"And now here I am."

"Well." Alan sighed as he leaned off the table "What you just did is stupid and may have cost you your life but... "

The former cop patted Leon on the shoulder and smiled.

"I gotta commend you. Anybody else would've left town by now. You, on the other hand, stayed. Welcome to R.P.D, Rookie. Why don't we get you a proper uniform? How's that sound?"
