Chapter 1: The New Girl

ZZZzzzzzzzzzzz!

If there were guests in the house, the monster snore would have cause for concern. But it was the Menzel's house, it was always the Menzel's house that had loud snores surrounding them.

Knock!

"Five more minutes!" Anna shouted as she curled up in her bedsheets. Rays of sunshine streamed into her room through the window. Anna covered her head with her pillow. "Arghh," she said with an annoyed tone.

Knock!

"Anna wakey...wakey do you remember what day it is?" A soft voice caught Anna's ears when she was curled up in her sheets. It took her a moment to realise what the voice was talking about. "Oh shit! I'm switching departments today!" She got out of her bed quickly and got dressed. Why was she in such a hurry? It was just 7:15 and her job starts at 8:00.

Before opening the door, she looked at the mirror in her work clothes. She thought to herself. You got this Anna. Just try not to screw things up on your first day. She opened the door to find Kristoff leaning against the door waiting for Anna patiently.

The second Anna pulled her door open, Kristoff lost his balance and fell on Anna. "Ouch watch it, Kristoff!" Anna rubbed her forehead as she laid on the floor with Kristoff sitting on her.

"Sorry sis. I didn't know you would get up so early. I thought I had to pull you off your bed. So……ready for breakfast?" Kristoff looked down at Anna who was laying on the floor trying to breathe while Kristoff still hadn't noticed he was sitting on her the entire time.

"N-need a-air." Anna struggled to speak. "Oh crap, sorry again sis. Let me go make you some nice and delicious pancakes." He smiled and walked downstairs to the kitchen.

After a few minutes of Anna staring at the ceiling from the floor, she finally decided to go downstairs which lead to the living room. "Olaf? Why are you here?" She carried an expression filled with confusion as she sat next to Olaf on the couch, he was watching his favorite TV show SuperNatural.

He didn't reply back to Anna at first. "Olaf? Why are you here?" This time Anna said with a heavy tone. It took Olaf a few seconds to realise that Anna was talking to him. "Oh sorry Anna, I didn't pay attention to what you were saying." Olaf smiled at Anna and paused his TV show.

"I said why are you here?"Anna smiled back at Olaf. She looked over at the kitchen to see whether Kristoff could make the pancakes without burning the house down. She giggled at her thought. "Oh didn't Sven text you? He can't come to drop you off of work cause he was caught in an emergency. So I will be your ride today. And before you ask me what the emergency is….I don't know." Olaf grabbed the TV remote slowly as his conversation with Anna ended.

"Oh, okay then." Anna stood up and checked on her social media while walking to the dining area. She pulled the chair out slowly and sat on it with her eyes on her phone the entire time.

Kristoff had a plate of pancakes in his right hand and pure maple syrup in the other, he set the plates and syrup on the table. Anna noticed the words on his tank top, World's Best Cook. "Nice tank top." She gave Kristoff a smirk. Her stomach growled again, she quickly grabbed her fork and knife and dug into her breakfast.

"Thanks, Kristoff, this is delicious. She had pancake crumbs on her cheek which made her look even more adorable than usual. He pointed at his face to tell Anna about the crumbs on her face. "Oh," she wiped them off with her napkin.

"Wait what time is it?" She asked curiously and turned around to look at the clock. "Shit shit shit shit shit it's 7:40" she ate the last piece of her pancake, she grabbed her bag and sat on the ground to put on her shoes. "Oh Anna, can I give you a warm hug before I drive you to work?" Olaf gave Anna the puppy eyes and opened his arms waiting for Anna to give him a nice warm hug.

Anna hugged him tightly. "See you guys later." Anna smiled and opened the front door, sure it wasn't the first time Anna was in a hurry for work, but this was her first time working for the Arendelle Department. It was a dream of hers since she was a little girl, to protect others at all costs.

Anna opened Olaf's car door and hopped into the seat. "Quite cozy," Anna told Olaf while he was starting the car engine, he gave Anna a bright smile.

She checked on her watch every 2 minutes since she was never late to a job ever. She was both jumping in excitement and nervous about being late. "H-hey calm down. You're gonna be fine." Olaf tried to comfort Anna while he was looking at the roads.

She yawned in a very ridiculous accent which was an unladylike habit. But still, she was the tomboy in her family since she was little and stood out of the crowd in many ways. "Hey Anna, we're here," Olaf told the daydreaming Anna who wasn't listening at all. "I have hot chocolate." Olaf looked at Anna who suddenly jumped in excitement. "What? What? Hot chocolate?" Anna asked excitedly, she looked like a cute puppy looking for her bone.

Olaf pointed at the sign of the building outside of his car with his finger. "Oh, I knew that," Anna mumbled her words as Olaf gave her the good luck smile.

Anna took a look at the building from the front door, she was left speechless. It was her dream to work in the Arendelle Police Department, she couldn't believe her very eyes. Are you gonna walk-in or just stand here the whole time?

Beeeeeeep!

The sound of a car horn snapped Anna out of her daydream, she walked into the building three steps at a time. As she was admiring her view, she bumped into an officer. A bunch of paper notes fell from the officer's arm when Anna bumped into him. "Oh sorry." She felt embarrassed and wanted to pick the notes back up from him. As she reached her hand to the notes, she bumped her head against the man. "Sorry, sorry." She forced out an awkward smile when picking up the notes.

Great way to start the day Anna. "Oh no, it's fine, really. I should be the one who's apologizing. After all, I was the one who bumped into a gorgeous woman. By the way, the name's Hans." Anna blushed at Hans's compliment. "T-thank you, you are gorgeous too. What? I mean handsome, You're handsome not me." She facepalmed herself and handed the notes back to Hans as he giggled at how adorable Anna was being. "I'm Anna Menzel but you call me Anna. I just switched departments today." She gave Hans a warm smile.

"Oh, you're the new girl from Corona." Hans replied back to her with a grin. "I can give you a tour maybe?" He held out his hand to Anna who was still embarrassed by what just happened. It wasn't the first time Anna said something like that but it sure wouldn't be the last.

Anna nodded and took Hans's hand, he took Anna to meet Captain Hua. "Hua? That's an interesting last name." Anna whispered into Hans's ears hoping not to offend anyone. Hans led her to Captain Hua's office.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in." Captain Hua answered the door while finishing her last paperwork of the day. Anna walked into Captain Hua's office slowly, Hans left shortly after. "So…. you're the new girl? I'm Captain Hua Mulan if you didn't know." Mulan introduced herself as she bit her the tip of her pen. "I'm Anna Menzel." She gave Mulan a big bright smile, one that can warm your heart if you stare at it for too long. Mulan paused for a second.

"Oh yeah almost forgot, you were given a partner according to the Corona Police Department." Anna showed a face full of excitement. Mulan called Anna's partner down to meet each other. There were a few soft knocks. "You requested me?" A young tall man stood behind Anna. It almost threatened her by the size of the man. "This is Eugene Fitzherbert, he'll be your partner." Mulan gave both of them a smile.

"Now I must finish my paperwork." Mulan joked around with Anna and Eugene leaving her office.

"Mulan is really nice if you get to know her." Eugene told Anna with a soft grin on his face. Well, he is cute I must say.

"So….do you wanna grab some coffee? We're on break." Eugene offered. "Cmon…..I'm paying." He gave Anna a wink which made her giggle a bit. She nodded and followed him to a Starbucks near their department.

They settled down with their drinks on the table, one hot chocolate and one latte. "Not much of a coffee person?" Eugene asked as he sipped his cup of coffee. "I'm a chocoholic." She giggled. "So…..tell me about yourself. Or should I start first?" He suggested the idea to pass the time. "Sure I'll start." She smiled.

A woman with a black suit walked into the cafe, half a part of a badge was shown from her right pocket. That woman was beautiful, no words could describe the looks of the woman. She was a goddess with platinum blonde hair and icy blue eyes. Ones that could freeze you by just looking at them.

"Judging by your looks I see you're staring at the Snow Queen." Eugene broke into laughter which caused a few people to stare at him. "Sorry." He apologized. Snow Queen? well, it definitely suits her looks. God those icy blue eyes, they look wow just wow. Snap out of it Anna, you don't even know her.
