'We should have won!' Tia said and sat down with the rest of the squad.
'How can he rule that as offside?' Hawk asked and everyone discussed the goal that was robbed.
'These things happen in any match. Group stage, knock outs, quarters, semis and even finals. We just need to take more of our chances! With that being said. Well done for pulling it back to 2-2. The Rykers are a very strong team and their star player turned up in good style.' Aarch said and gave Lioness a wink.
'It was all Lioness! Dude that was amazing!' Shark shouted and everyone cheered.
'Just like we were back in Rio!' Mark said and hugged her from behind
'Lioness?' D'Jok said to her. She didn't responded. 'Lioness' He said louder
'Hm?' Lioness said and looked at him.
'I just need to get some rest. Guess those 45 minutes took a lot out of me.' Lioness said and headed to the direction of the female showers.
The rest of the team watched her walk to the showers and were discussing the keshin used in today's match. Everyone entered the showers and changed up and got on the coach. D'Jok saw Lioness looking at the ground.
'You know. For someone who came on as a super-sub. You sure don't seem happy with your performance.' D'Jok said and lifted her head to look at her face. 'What's gotten into you?'
'It's nothing. I guess I'm just over analysing the game.' Lioness said and began walking to the coach.
'Well. How about later, you and I talk about the game. To improve for the next match and to help you get back to normal. I understand why you were so worried about the keshin. It has me a bit-'
'Nervous?' Lioness cut him.
'Yeah.' D'Jok said and rubbed the back of neck.
'Thanks.' Lioness said and gave a small smile.
'That's the Lioness that we all know!' D'Jok said and giggled with her.
Paparazzi: Lioness! D'Jok! Give us a smile this way
'Really?' D'Jok said and pulled Lioness away from the flashing light.
Paparazzi: OO great! Nice! Thanks Guys this should sell well.
'Paparazzi will never leave us alone' D'Jok said to her.
'I thought you will be used to it?' Lioness said
'Yeah. I am but sometimes. They just know how to get on my nerves' D'Jok said
'Kind of like Hawk's ego' Lioness said and pointed at the redhead looking at his face in the mirror in vain. They both giggled and got on the coach and headed back home. After another encounter with the fans and reporters, the team finally entered the building and started relaxing.
'TV anyone?' Tia said and held up the remote and everyone nodded.
Gossip Anker: 2-2 was the final score in the Rykers vs. Snow Kids Match. We saw Lioness vs Shenanut who unleashed her keshin on the pitch and everyone enjoyed witnessing that battle. Lioness scored a goal and provided an assist for ace striker D'Jok, but is that all she is providing for the striker?
'What does she mean by that? Ahito asked the two who both looked at each other confusingly.
Gossip Anker: Looks like before and after the match, the two had other things on their mind. D'Jok and Mei broke up but it seems like Lioness is helping that pain by cheering him up. Looks like these two might be dating.
'WHAT?' Lioness, Mei, Axel and D'Jok shouted at the same time.
'Wow you dudes got something to tell us?' Shark said and rewind the news to see one of the pictures.
'That was nothing. We were talking about the game.' D'Jok said
'Yeah. That or I was making a remark to Hawk's vanity' Lioness said and pointed at the red head who was looking at his face again.
'That does make sense actually' King said whilst Shark nodded in the background
'Hmm' Axel and Mei said at the same time
'Mei it is not what it is made out to be.' D'Jok explained.
'It's fine if you two are dating.' Mei said quickly.
'We are not' Lioness said slightly irritated
'Li. Like Mei said it is fine. We all-' Axel said but was interrupted by an angry Lioness.
'What part of we are not dating don't you understand? Plus why do I even need to explain yourself to you about who I even date. Mind your business and focus on your girl' Lioness said and got up.
'I will go and talk to her.' D'Jok said and got up.
'Me too' Mark and Tia said and followed the redhead to Lioness' room. D'Jok led the pack and knocked on the door.
'Li. It's me, D'Jok. Tia and Mark are here. We just want to know if you are okay. Can we come in?' D'Jok said and waited. Lioness opened the door stood in front of the three.
'I'm fine. However I kind of just want to speak to Tia right now. You know. Girl talk.' Lioness said and gave a small smile.
'Okay. That's cool.' D'Jok said and Mark nodded in the background.
In Portuguese to Mark
'You remember what happened to me back in Rio. Felt like a repeat.' Lioness said and nodded to Mark.
'Ah I see. C'mon D'Jok lets give the ladies a chance to talk.' Mark said in English to D'Jok and led him away from the girls. Tia went inside Lioness and sat down on her bed.
'I know the media can play good tricks… However you seemed really upset. Everything okay?' Tia asked and Lioness gave a sigh.
'It just felt like Deja' vu.' Lioness said and was met with a confused look on Tia's face.
'When I was in Rio. One of my friends had dated a guy. They broke up and one night she saw me talking with her ex. Now a rumour started that the reason why he broke up with her was because of me. He told her that it was a lie and so did I. She didn't believed me or him and had the strongest hatred against me. I'm guessing she still does. The fact that she hates me because of a stupid lie… She was one of my closes friends. We used to do everything together, football, nails, hair, everything. I just didn't want anything to repeat its self.' Lioness said
'Now I get why you were extremely defensive. However. I kind of picked up a weird vibe against you and Axel' Tia said and looked at Lioness who was burning up.
'Do you by any chance have/ had a thing for him? Don't worry the others haven't picked up on it.' Tia re-assured her.
'Had… trying to get over. I just really liked talking to D'Jok because he has similar qualities like Axel' Lioness said and Tia nodded her head.
Tia's POV
Similar qualities to a guy she had a crush on… She is going to fall for him. They do make a great couple. Mei wouldn't care especially now that-
'Tia are you okay?' Lioness asked her and Tia nodded her head and gave her a smile.
'Sorry. You know when you just have a thought process and it gets you to stare' She replied to Lioness and started giggling with her.
'Cool. Is it okay if we can keep this between us? I don't want it to be a big deal. Especially with the last group game coming up.' Lioness said and Tia nodded.
'What is said in the room? Stays in the room.' Tia said and held her hand. The two heard a knock on the door.
'Who is it?' Lioness asked
'Mei' was the name that was replied and Lioness got up and opened the door for Mei.
'Can I be included in this girls talk?' Mei asked and sat on the bed.
'Li. You and D'Jok.' Mei said and Lioness cut her off.
'Are just friends and are not dating.'
'Let me finish.' Mei said to Lioness and continued 'Make a good couple. Honestly it's fine of you do like him.'
'Mei. Tell her.' Tia said to the brunette.
'Tell me what?' Lioness asked and looked at the two.
'Tia. I haven't even told D'Jok.' Mei said and looked at Tia.
'Seriously. When will you tell him? Its' only fair that she gets to know as well.' Tia said and looked at Lioness.
'Okay fine!' Mei raised her voice. 'I'm… dating a guy'
'Okay… why do I feel like a plot twist is coming?' Lioness said with a confused look on her face.
'Well… you are right there' Tia said and Mei nudge her.
'Well?' Lioness said and sat down next to the girls.
'The guys is a football player.' Mei said a bit nervous.
'Okay. Who is it?' Lioness asked.
'Sinedd' Mei said
'You mean the same Sinedd that is one of D'Jok revivals?' Lioness asked and Mei nodded her head.
'When? How?' Lioness asked.
'Well when I was in the Shadows we kind of got a long really well and that blossomed into a relationship… He is really sweet. When I have a 'modelling' shoot it's just a way to see him. We wanted to keep it on the low because we both know how D'Jok will react.'
'You need to tell him.' Lioness said.
'I agree. This will blow up if you don't.' Tia said.
'I will. When the time is right…' Mei said
'Which was when you came back from the Shadows!' Tia said and Lioness nodded.
'Does anyone else know?' Lioness asked.
'Just you guys.' Mei said and all three of the girls sighed.
'You have to tell him tonight.' Tia said
'What? Why tonight?' Mei said shocked.
'Listen. Look at what happened with Li and D'Jok with the media. They didn't even know that the press were there and grabbed a picture and made a false but good story.' Tia said as a matter of fact and continued 'Now. Imagine you and Sinedd are going out for a date and the paparazzi takes a photo and it makes it to the gossip room. What will D'Jok make of it?'
'Tia has a point.' Lioness agreed and turned her attention to Mei and continued 'You actually have nothing to lose. If you tell him sooner it will be better for you. You've kept it away for him for a long time.'
'Ah. I hate it when other people are right when I want to be right' Mei joked and nodded at the advice she received from both of the girls. The girls heard a knock from the door.
'Li. Are you feeling better?' D'Jok said.
'Yeah. She is. Come in' Tia said and looked at Mei giving her 'Your opportunity' look.
'Hey girls. Just wanted to check up on Li.' D'Jok said and nodded his head in her direction.
'I'm good. Mei and Tia helped me out. Sometimes only girls can help.' Lioness said and gave them both a smile.
'Cool. Well. I'm glad you're feeling better. Well done girls' D'Jok said and winked at Tia and Mei.
'It's what we do' Tia said jokingly and made everyone laugh.
'Hey. Can I talk to you privately?' Mei asked D'Jok and he nodded and followed her out of the room.
