Hey guys, thanks for all the reviews they really do mean a lot to me. Just wanting to make a brief note to whoever actually reads these that I only really wanna do about 10-12 chapters with this story. I know myself and if I draw this out into some big elaborate thing I'm not going to finish it.
I will still give you a story I would want to read which is not too OP or OOC or sappy but also still gives that romance and bad ass ness you want. But I'd also rather give you something complete at my pace then to leave you hanging. Anyway...
I would sell my left tit to own Naruto, then buy back my left tit with the money I'd get from owning Naruto. But alas friends this is not the case.
Chapter 6:
Hinata had learned many things today.
Apparently to catch an S-class criminal, you needed an S-class criminal. She had also learned the Uchiha's had bred secret ninja cats that no one in Konoha knew about, and these secret cats specialized in chakra tracking. Go figure.
Despite her training, Hinata had still retained a lot of her girlish ways. She loved cats, and soft cute animals. However, this particular cat was...not her favorite.
"Sasuke-kun, it's such an honor to be summoned by you." she said when she had first appeared. She was an average size and her coat was a pearly white. Her eyes were the shade of emeralds and her shinobi vest held the Uchiha crest.
She had been tracking the chakra of the man that had appeared last night for the last fifteen minutes and, to Hinata's irritation, had not shut up about the last Uchiha.
"Oh Sasuke-kun, I love your change in hair style, it is so befitting of a noble heir such as yourself." Was her particular line at the moment.
Hinata wanted to block the chakra points in her own ears at this point.
She turned to Sasuke, cutting the talkative cat that called herself Poppy off before she could say another word.
"Why didn't we do this last night when the trail was new?"
Sasuke looked at her as though she were an idiot. "You think he would have led us to his master's house if he knew we were following him last night. Everyone goes home eventually Hyuga, we just needed to give him enough time to think that he was safe to do so."
Sure enough, they came upon a path that led them to what looked like a series of caves, the destination of which only Kami knew.
"Welp," said Hinata, for the first time in a while feeling overwhelmed. "If I was going to hide that's where I'd do it."
"Hn," the Uchiha agreed.
"Don't worry," Poppy stated matter of factly, "Sasuke-kun will figure out which one to go through."
Hinata and Sasuke both snapped their heads toward her.
"You mean you can tell from the chakra signature?" Sasuke questioned. Poppy shook her head, worried that she might have displeased her great master.
"The chakra signature disappears in this very spot. I will not be of any help to Sasuke-kun at this point" she stated. She tried to give him cute cat eyes, however anyone who really knew the Uchiha knew that it was a failed tactic.
"You're dismissed," he said. The cat disappeared in a puff of smoke. Hinata reasoned that that had been the best thing to happen all day.
"I hate the kun honorific," she heard him mutter under his breath. She giggled a bit and decided to keep that knowledge in her back pocket for later.
"What now?" Hinata asked.
"I don't think you'll have to wait long to find that out." Sasuke stated as he switched into a fighting stance. She was about to ask for clarification when she felt a huge chakra spike. She reached behind her, into her belt and placed the ANBU mask on her face as was custom when ANBU did battle. Sasuke performed a hand seal and his mask appeared seamlessly on his face. She would have asked him about that little trick later.
Luckily they had spared when they first met, otherwise they wouldn't know anything about the others fighting style. While she had enjoyed their stress free journey to the Land Hidden in Stone, she wished maybe they had taken a little more time to learn to work together. This worried her, and she felt maybe the Uchiha sensed that.
"There's a code in ANBU, the plan is always to watch each other's back. You make up for my shortcomings, and I make up for yours."
Hinata stared at him like he had two heads, this was his master plan?
"Do your best Hyugga."
Was all he said before the both separated as a large man came hurtling out of the entrance of one of the caves, landing directly between them.
Nakamura was huge. Hinata speculated that he was even bigger than his pictures had made him out to be. He stood at least seven feet tall, his hulking mass was unsettling and the way that his muscles grew and overlapped each other to the point where it looked painful made it unnerving to look at him. He was bald, and the midday sun made the skin on his head sparkle. His face was smooth shaven, as she looked closer in fact, he had zero hair on his body.
"It's been a long time since I've seen shinobi of Konoha," he stated rather calmly, not looking at all phased by the situation he had found himself in. This made Hinata a little worried.
"I'm not going back to sleep," he stated. The way he said it, it was like it was a fact, just like saying the sky is blue or the grass is green.
Hinata and Sasuke kept their positions.
"But I guess that's not what you wanted to hear."
Shrugging the man simply sat down. He was about to make some sort of hand seal when Sasuke moved so quick she never would have known he had until he stopped. There was a clattering sound and Hinata watched as pieces of Sasuke's katana fell to the stone floor.
The man Sasuke had attempted to attack had turned into what Hinata could only describe as a rock being. It seemed as though he had the ability to create a rock-like exterior hard enough to damage Sasuke's prized weapon.
"I'm sure you're all aware of the situation. You can't kill me, but I can surely kill you." Nakamura laughed.
Weaving his previous hand sign he fixed his hand into the symbol of a bird.
"FORBIDDEN TECHNIQUE: MUD GOLEM."
Once more the rocks rumbled and Hinata watched as figures started to rise.
Hinata watched transfixed as the rocks formed into smooth replicas of themselves. This was the forbidden art, clones? It then dawned on her that this is what had been watching them, in the market and by the house. Did this mean Nakamura knew they were coming, and if so for how long had he known?
Hinata activated her Byakugan. However, to her horror, so did then the golem. How did he know, she was wearing her ANBU masks and dojutsu were something only a user's clone could replicate. Then how?
Hinata looked at Sasuke, who was looking directly at his clone.
"AMATERASU," he murmured. Black flames erupted around the Golem creature. It broke the creature down until it was nothing but ash.
"From the ashes, a new phoenix will grow." Nakamaru laughed.
Sure enough, in the place of the fallen gollum there was a newly formed one still in the shape of Sasuke. Sasuke growled and Hinata kinda understood where he was coming from, people who come from sacred bloodline limits like she and Sasuke took personal offense to false imitations.
This was why when Hinata struck, she struck hard.
"LIGHTNING RELEASE: FALSE DARKNESS," she inhaled sharply and exhaled from her mouth the powerful lightning technique that sent a spear of lightning powerful enough peirce rock.
"EARTH STYLE: MUD WALL," the clone countered. She brought up a barrier to protect herself from the attack. Even with the mud wall however, Hinata's attack was able to do minor damage by taking her rock clone's arm.
The clone launched herself at Hinata, she was throwing some form of stone shuriken at her and Hinata weaved to dodge them while throwing her own back in return. However, the ones she threw simply bounced off the clones rock exterior and were useless.
Think Hinata…
Through her Byakugan, she could see that there was a chakra flow running through the gollum but… it looked a little off. She engaged in taijutsu with the clone. She was shocked that it was this fast, she had not thought she herself had gained this grade of speed. However, the gollum did have a one hand handicap. She noticed that it could not regenerate, only spawn that was interesting.
How much would it take to incapacitate it but not kill it. She could incapacitate all of its chakra, however she wondered if the chakra was keeping it upright, if she severed the flow then it could die and respawn. Tricky, tricky.
She glanced over at Sasuke's progress. He was using his signature chadori and mounds of rock littered the ground, one would respawn and he would send it right back to hell. It was a solid method, but how long could they last?
This may be the true secret art, exhaust the opponent with an unbeatable enemy then move in for the kill. The sad part was that it was a strategy that would work if they didn't figure something out soon.
Hinata moved left to avoid a rock shaped fist to the face. If she could incapacitate this gollum in a way that wouldn't generate a respawn, then she or the Uchiha could get close enough to administer the forbidden jutsu.
Finally having a plan made Hinata confident.
Running forward she ducked a kick that was aimed at her head by side stepping. This put the gollum's back to her which was exactly where she wanted it to be.
"You're in range."
"EIGHT TRIGRAMS: 16 PALMS"
Four palms to each of the legs, and four to the arm remaining and the rest the torso and neck, cutting off chakra everywhere except the main source. Before her clone could touch the floor, she took off. Sprinting toward a mound of rock that hadn't moved from his original position. However, she didn't make it six steps before she received a swift kick to her ribs and was sent flying across the field.
Fuck. She had been stupid. Of course his golem range wasn't just two at a time. He had faked her out. She reactivated her Byakugan. Standing up, she tried not to think about her now bruised ribs and repositioned her stance. However, was that…
She needed to speak to Sasuke right now.
Using her gentle fist she locked the golems chakras again she took off toward where Sasuke was decimated by golems. How much chakra did the man have? His strategy seemed to be destroying the golems and then trying to advance as much as he could before another one appeared. He seemed to be trying to use his smaller attacks to conserve his chakra for the bigger fight. The only issue was that the golems were being produced faster than Sasuke was advancing, sometimes two or three at a time in his case.
Hinata reached his side after dismantling her fourth golem.
"You're feeding him chakra," Hinata related to him. They assumed a back to back position which was the standard two man position for shinobi. Five golems appeared around them. "Every time you kill one the chakra reverberates back to him, he then sends it back and it happens all over again, it's the ultimate offense. But I can see the weakness of my Byakugan. Everytime one is left out, the one produced after it is weaker even if it is by a fraction."
"Your point Hyuga, I don't have all day."
"If you incapacitate them the chakra still sits in their body and he's forced to produce another as offense to keep us off his back, if you keep enough golems out, maybe…"
"Maybe it'll drain his chakra." Sasuke finished. Hinata nodded, locking two more golems chakra points. "You just might be worth something Hyuga."
"Don't worry, you're still a piece of shit Uchiha," she snapped back. He laughed again. If someone told Hinata she would be Sasuke Uchiha's favorite comedian at any point in her life, she would have questioned their sanity, but she had heard his laugh now probably more than anyone alive today.
"If you can do a big enough attack to draw a large number of clones, I think I have something that can incapacitate them all." She relayed, decompacitating another golem.
Sasuke simply nodded, with one fluid motion he bit the tip of his finger and smeared the blood across the ground.
"SUMMONING JUTSU," he called. An inked seal appeared on the ground. Hinata realized she hadn't seen a summon since the great war.
"Aoda, come forth."
Before her was a massive snake. Massive was almost too small a word for the creature. Aoda, as Sasuke had called him, was the biggest creature Hinata had ever seen.
"Master Sasuke, good to see you."
Sasuke smiled at the snake. Hinata blinked to make sure nothing was in her eye and she had seen that correctly.
"Aoda, I need you to target that man for me, he's going to send golems to stop you but I don't want you to harm them, I want you to leave them to Hyuga here."
Aoda turned his massive head toward Hinata as she locked the chakras of eight more golems.
"Oh you've found a mate Master Sasuke Congratulations!" Aoda declared, not even feeling it when golems approached and attempted to hurt him.
Hinata would have choked if she had been eating food. She caught another cheap shot to her arm for her momentary distraction.
"No, I'm much too good for Hyuga there. Her boyfriend is this guy back home who wears green spandex." Sasuke lied smoothly. While Aoda seemed to be trying to figure out what spandex was, she flipped him off with a spare hand.
"Who knew, Sasuke Uchiha, murderer, traitor, funny man."
Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Aoda, go."
Aoda nodded and charged in making a path for them, stunning golems as they went. Hinata could see the chakra in the golems getting weaker as they moved, however she could also see why this man was so dangerous. Nakamura's chakra reserves were endless.
Upon seeing the approaching snake Nakamura growled. The ground rumbled and a swarm of golems of different sizes and shapes, all vaguely resembling she and Saske rose out of the ground like weeds. There were hundreds, maybe even a thousand all charging them like an army.
"I hope you know what you're doing Hyunga," Sasuke called out.
She nodded. "This isn't my jutsu, so it burns a lot of chakra fast. I'll be able to help detain them but you have to get through that rock and place the seal."
Not giving him time to answer she took off running a bit ahead. She jumped into the air so that she was out of range and formed the necessary hand seals for her sensei's jutsu.
"SEALING JUTSU: OCTOPUS HOLD."
Hundreds of black figures shot forth. Almost like ink blots they advanced on the enemy. The jutsu was able to imprison all the golems in cocoons of black tar like substance.
Landing back onto the ground Hinata took off. Weaving in between the frozen figures she caught up to Sasuke who was facing down Nakamura. Aoda had been sent back and Sasuke's sharingan had been activated.
He had stood up, abandoning his golems.
"You'll find your hell fire doesn't crack this armor, I've encountered Uchiha before boy."
"Hyuga I need a distraction, I know your chakra's probably taped but-"
"I trust you Uchiha, at least at this."
Mustering the chakra she had left she formed the necessary hand seals.
"LIGHTNING STYLE: SHOCKING SOAK"
Just as it had with the Uchiha in their sparing, the lightning dispersed underground and held her opponent.
"You won't hold me long, I'm not going back to sleep."
Hinata ignored him and forced more chakra then she had at the moment into the current.
"Don't tell the dobe I've copied this." Sasuke muttered.
He took off running faster then the Hinata could keep track of. While he was running he formed familiar hand seals. Where did she know those from?
"RASENGAN." She heard Sasuke shout. What. the. Hell.
Nakamura was equally surprised. The attack crumbled the rock apart like it was tissue paper. It carried so much force that it pushed through to Nakamura himself and drove him at least ten feet into the ground, but he was passed out.
It was over.
The power behind that attack had sent shards of rock everywhere.
As Hinata approached Sasuke, he leaned over Nakamura.
Weaving the signs he placed a hand on the man's chest."FORBIDDEN JUTSU: ETERNAL SLEEP."
Hinata felt a huge weight lifted off her shoulders. She slumped down unto her knees. When Sasuke did the same, she noticed it was for different reasons. A needle like shard of stone had embedded itself into Sasuke's abandonment and he was bleeding out.
Hinata wasted no time and used a kunai to rid him of his shirt so that she could have a better look at the wound.
"Who knew you were so forward Hyuga?"
"Shut up you're bleeding," Hinata hissed at him. What was that baka thinking taking a chance like that, he had almost-
Nevermind that. Looking at the wound, the rock fragment wasn't that far embedded into Sasuke's abdomen. The injury would scar, but as a shinobi she had a feeling that the Uchiha would see that as nothing new. Removing the shard in one swift motion caused Sasuke to hiss, Hinata ignored it as she reached into her right side pouch and pulled out her bottle of antibacterial liquid and dumped the contents on Sasuke's wound. He hissed again and Hinata chuckled.
"What are you laughing at you demented demon?" he spat out at her.
She continued to laugh, "Big bad Sasuke Uchiha crying over a little flesh wound."
"Tch," He grumbled. He fixed his mixed colored glare on her and she shifted her laughing.
"Big bad Sasuke Uchiha is still human." he muttered in such a low tone Hinata almost didn't hear him. "Besides, I don't know what you've heard of me Hyuga, but I'm not usually the one getting her hurt."
He smirked at her. This annoyed her, only the Uchiha could smirk at her in such a devilishly handsome-
She smacked the wound she had just wrapped while he was talking and he winced again. The smirk fell off his face and found its way onto Hinata's.
Hope you liked it. Review and tell me what you think. Stay safe.
