I'm going to miss you guys.
I don't own Naruto.
Epilogue: 5 More Years
"Uchiha 3, Uchiha 4 we have to go."
Sasuke's voice was deep and assertive, however Hinata could hear the playfulness in her husband's tone. She took the opportunity to look into the mirror once more to check her reflection. Instead of battle gear, she had donned a deep navy-blue kimono that had low V and tapered sleeves. With her hair pulled up, one could see the bold pattern of the Uchiha crest hand stitched into the back of her attire. She wore deep red lipstick, which was uncharacteristic, but gave her a more regal appearance.
She had to compete with Sasuke, who was devilishly handsome clad in all black. They had made an effort to tame his hair, but it was as resilient as its owner and had retained it spiky demeanor. His robe was emblazoned with the crest as well; it was making it a little hard for the former Hyuga to focus.
"What are you thinking about over their Uchiha 2," Sasuke said, giving her a knowing sexy smirk. She found that she was very fond of their alone time, so fond in fact that she was currently five months pregnant with Uchiha 5.
Hinata rolled her eyes at the five-year nick name that had stuck.
"How you've knocked me up, yet again, and will be my back-rub slave to work off the debt you owe me for carrying on your fire breathing lineage."
Hinata smiled mischievously at the man sauntering up to him as he smirked at her. In a reaction as common as breathing, he wrapped his arms around her.
"Oh Mistress, I'll rub more then just you back," Sasuke murmured, running his hands along the sides of her chest.
Hinata shuddered at the advance. She liked the thought of being in charge of the dark-haired man, climbing on his face and just-
"Ew."
Hinata turned to see their eldest by five minutes, Mikoto; or Uchiha 3 as Sasuke called her. Though almost five, she had the sassiness of a teenager which gave Hinata more than her fair share of exhaustion
"Hey kid, mind your business," Sasuke chuckled at her. He tried to keep his face stern, but everyone except him knew that he was a sucker whenever Mikoto pouted. He grumbled and knelt down to allow the small, dark-haired girl onto his back.
"Where's your brother?" Hinata asked curiously, looking around for her other dark-haired child.
"Outside, throwing pointy stars," Mikoto said simply.
Hinata eyed Sasuke and sighed as they made their way out to the training field.
Hinata gazed at the boy with loving eyes as he through shuriken at the target dummy, hitting it in all the right area's with deadly accuracy. Neji was a prodigy, just like his namesake before him.
When he sensed their presence, he turned to them with giant deep red and lavender layered eyes that looked similar to marble. Mikoto had the same eyes, a combination of both their parent's visual prowess.
When Hinata had found out she was pregnant right after the battle of Hisami; she had been terrified that she had somehow hurt her children by fighting in the battle. She reasoned that she had saved them by saving the village, and they by extension, saved her as well.
No child had ever been born with the Uchiha and Hyuga blood line limits. Even her father didn't know the outcome of such a union. However, what had been forged was a new dojutsu altogether. One that made its users eyes red and lavender marble. One that Sakura, chief of medicine in Konoha, had named the Mirugan. This name was derived from part of the phrase for "all seeing"; which in Hinata's opinion summed up exactly what her children's eyes could do. They combined the long range of the Byakugan with the genjutsu and copy abilities of the Sharingan. Mikoto and Neji could copy a ninja's abilities from such a distance; the enemy would never even know. They would be able to see chakra networks surrounding them, at long distances, and place them in genjutsu before they were even detected. They were dangerous, and many had sought them out. However, the only thing more dangerous then her children, were their parents. The Uchiha quickly regained their stigma as a clan not to be trifled with.
"Your wrist is a little crooked when you release," Sasuke remarked. He handed Mikoto to her mother and went out to join his son. Hinata smiled down at the girl in her arms. Where her brother was skilled in combat, Mikoto was skilled in intelligence. She took after her uncle Itachi as much as Neji took after his name sake. She could weave genjutsu almost well as Kurenai; and she was just under five years old. She had swindled them both into giving her a lot of treats before they were able to see through it.
Mikoto and Neji would both start the academy next year because of their advanced abilities. Hinata was terrified, but Sasuke assured her that Itachi had been that young at the start as well. After that it was only a matter of keeping the twins from murdering their clan; he had joked. Hinata had not been as amused.
Still, if they didn't hurry, they would be late. She rubbed her stomach; they had decided to name their third addition Itachi. Hinata had been the one to suggest it, it was only fair since the man had once saved her life; they owed him a debt. Besides, she believed that Sasuke deserved a second chance with Itachi, even if their child was not the original.
"Alright boys if you don't hurry were going to be late. Sasuke, you're Naruto's best man, you can't be late to the wedding."
"I still can't believe that bastards getting married," Sasuke remarked, guiding his overly zealous son into the house. "Or that old lady Tsunade agreed to officiate."
Hinata couldn't help but agree. However, it was either her or Kakashi; Hinata cringed at the later.
"Mom, what's a bastard?" Mikoto asked. Sasuke and Hinata's face paled. Hinata glared at her husband.
"It's someone with blond hair like your uncle Naruto," Sasuke lied smoothly, poking the little girl in the forehead. There were not many blond-haired citizens in Konoha, it was a Namikaze trait.
Mikoto giggled and Hinata just shook her head, Sasuke would be the one to dig himself out of his own mess.
"I'm happy for Naruto and Tenten," Hinata smiled. It did make sense. Tenten didn't care about labels, or glory or fame; she cared about honor and pride. These were the same values that Naruto strived for, not to mention Tenten humbled a lot of the bigger ambitions that Naruto had. Even their fighting styles aligned. Naruto used over whelming force with his shadow clones, and Tenten used overwhelming chaos with her weapons scrolls. Hinata was just angry she didn't see it sooner.
"I feel sorry for the girl, strapped to the loser like that for the rest of her life," Sasuke said, shaking his head in mock horror.
"Some would say the same thing about us," Hinata joked.
Sasuke feigned a straight face. "Who was it, I'll kill them."
Hinata rolled her eyes and fixed her children's clothes so they looked neat. She then ushered her family out the house and soon they were walking through village to the Hokage tower.
Hinata smiled fondly. Years ago, Sasuke had done all he could to leave the leaf, now their shared existence for living was right here. Hinata had asked her husband if he wanted to leave the village, she hadn't minded moving before the children were born; she did want to have to travel with newborn babies.
He had simply smiled at her, in the home they shared, and laughed. He laughed that a village that had taken everything away from him, now held everything he desired. He said it was his mission begin the fill this district again. After that Hinata had asked no more. She had always known she wanted a big family. She didn't want to be a breeding factory for Uchiha children; so, they figured when they were outnumbered three to one, they would stop. Although Akako and Aoda voiced their disagreements, stating that hatchlings numbers shouldn't be predetermined.
Hinata could see all the guest lined up to get into the wedding, all there to watch their Hokage get married. It was the event of the decade and the talk of the town. As Sasuke and Hinata made their way into hall for honored guest, Sasuke froze.
Hinata could feel the spike of chakra, and smirked.
Waives of black sand spiraled through the air filling up the hallway. Sasuke spun out of its reach and wove hand signs quicker then her eyes could track.
"FIRE STYLE: PHOENIX FLOWER JUTSU."
The flames floated out like fireflies and met the magnetic black sand. The heat caused it to disperse and Sasuke used shadow clone to grab the offender from his perch in a nearby fixture.
"Shinki, I told you to work on masking your chakra, I sensed you from a mile away," Sasuke reprimanded the boy. Hinata smiled and urged Sasuke to release him before wrapping the boy in her arms.
"Mother, you're embarrassing me."
"You do that on your own Baka," Neji snapped. He had mastered his father's scowl.
"Who are you calling an idiot, you brat." Likewise, Shinki seemed to have copied Gaara's famous murderous cowl. Shinki and Neji had developed a bit of sibling rivalry, almost akin to Naruto and Sasuke when they were children.
"Shinki, where are your fathers?" Hinata asked curiously.
Shinki started to answer but stopped when Gaara stepped around the corner. He was wearing his usual Suna attire, his sand was strapped to his back. Gaara was another one of those people that made a connection that was perfect for him; that Hinata did not foresee.
Rock Lee had changed a lot since he and Gaara had met years after the fight at the exams. Gaara had confessed to Lee that their fight had been the first time that Gaara had realized how much the Shukaku had affected him. Every time Gaara would bring Shinki to stay when Hinata and Sasuke, which had become quite often, he would spend time with the spandex clad man. When Guy passed, Gaara offered Lee a spot as a shinobi the hidden sand. Things had only elevated from there.
Five years later they were married. Lee no longer wore spandex as it was not made for Suna sun, instead he wore traditional Suna robes, in lime green of course. His hair had grown out of his bowl cut and they had even gotten his eyes brows under control. Combined with the physical prowess he already held, Gaara had become very possessive of the man. Lee's can-do attitude had even won Shinki over, who now called the man father as well, though refused to let him have any say in his styling choices.
"Uchiha's," Gaara greeted. Hinata noted that his smile reached his eyes as he regarded them from under his Kazekage hat. "Naruto, I believe, is looking for his best man."
Sasuke jumped as though he had forgotten entirely what he was there for.
"Right, I'll leave first."
He smirked down at Hinata, who had Mikoto tucked in her arm. Neji and Shinki had ran off, most likely to fight and cost she and Sasuke money for the property they would damage.
"Behave," Hinata warned him teasingly. He chuckled darkly and kissed her forehead.
"Promises, promises," he smirked faintly.
She shook her head. The man had come so far from the first moment she had knocked on his door. He had restarted the Uchiha civilian police force. The had both retired from ANBU. Hinata because she was pregnant, and Sasuke because he didn't want to be an absentee father who missed his children grow up because he spent so much time on distant secret missions.
To avoid a repeat in history, he enlisted the help of clans like the Inuzuka and the Abrame to help keep power evenly distributed so no one had a reason to target his clan. Hinata had grown as well. It had been grim at first. She had been on the team that undid the seals tying the members of group that she and Sasuke had placed in eternal sleep to the land. They had stood trial not to long after, based on the extent of there crimes, they had been executed. She knew it hurt Naruto to pass a judgement like that.
However, light did come from the darkness. After witnessing the devastation that was the caged bird seal, she and Naruto had spent months finalizing legislation that allowed village government to have say in clan traditions if they harmed its members. It was the first of many great changes that Naruto had enacted as Hokage, she wished her cousin had been there to witness the law that made it illegal for future branch members to receive the cursed mark. However, she could still feel his pride.
Working the legislation had also allowed her to reconnect with her sister and father, who both spoiled her children rotten.
Her husband looked at her knowingly. The look in his eye as intense as it was all those years ago in the hotel room in Suna. It was in that look that she could see the ebb and flow of their fate intertwining. It was that look that made her believe in balance and harmony that existed between Yin and Yang.
She smiled as Ino and Sai approached them. Sai no doubt looking for Sasuke as well because they were fellow groomsman. However, when Ino approached holding her son Inojin, Mikoto perked up and signaled her father.
"Inojin is a bastard dad!" she exclaimed excitedly, waiving her finger at the boy's blond hair. Hinata smacked her free hand into her forehead.
She took it back. Yin and Yang was never something she and Sasuke were destined to be.
Tried to make sure everything came in a nice round circle. It's been fun writing for you all. I hope you check out some of the my other works when I'm not to lazy to write them.
Stay safe
