This is totally unedited so my bad.

'Oh, this is gonna be fun', Jane thought as she knocked on the door.

A gruff "come in" echoed behind the closed door.

Turning the knob, Jane walked into the office. "You wanted to see me sir?"

"Ah Rizzoli, So nice of you to grace us with your presence today." Cavanaugh

"Sir with all due respect, I texted you last night that I needed a few days off." She argued. She was pissed. She should be with Maura right now. But no. She didn't care what Cavanaugh had to say right now. She was gonna let him have it and beg for her job later if need be.

"Rizzoli-"

"This isn't the first time I asked you this way. I don't understand why you needed me to come in. Whatever you wanted to talk to me about could have easily been a phone call." She paused, letting his words from earlier actually sink in. "Wait, us?" Jane turned around confused to see the other person in the room. The person sitting in the chair at he back of the office offered her a small wave. She gave a awkward smile and wave and turned her attention back to Cavanaugh. 'Well that was awkward', she thought.

Cavanaugh shook his head. "Rizzoli, this is Joshua Westington. Joshua, this is Jane Rizzoli. He's the DA coming from Chicago. He's transfering here. I want you to be nice to him and help him get situated during the next few weeks. Play nice Rizzoli."

"Hey Jane." Joshua said. He stood and walked to where she was standing. His swagger was too confident for her liking. His suit looked like it cost a lot more than it should and he had a cocky smirk that didn't sit well with her. He reached out his hand for hers and she reluctantly gave it up. "Please, just call my Josh. Joshua is too formal for me."

"It's nice to meet you Josh." She lied straight through her teeth.

Josh turned to Cavanaugh, " I will get this paperwork back to you by next week." He grabbed the manilla file folder from Cavanaugh's hand and turned to Jane.

Jane gave Cavanaugh a glare and turned her attention back to Josh. "I'll give you the tour."

Once outside the office Jane led the new DA to the elevator. "So I'll take you to the lab really quick. I know you more than likely won't be spending much time down there but It's good to meet the medical examiner and some of the lab techs in case you need something from them." She pushed the down button. Praying the elevator would be there soon. The seconds grew longer like the silence that surrounded them. Finally the machine dinged and the metalic doors slowly opened.

"So, why are you transferring to Boston?" she asked as they entered the elevator.

"I felt that my fiancée and I needed a fresh start. Chicago was getting to be too much for us. We are actually originally from here so coming back felt right." Josh continued putting his hands back in his pockets, leaning against the wall.

"Cool. Have you found a house yet?"

"Not yet. I'm staying at the Rizz. It's a pretty nice hotel. I'm only here for this week. I still have cases in Chicago to finish up and bring to trial. I will be probably coming down here with the fiancée by October. So that gives us about 4 months to find a house. Whatever she wants. A house is a house to me." He laughed.

Jane nodded. Of freaking course he was staying at her hotel. Great. She would more than likely run into him

"When did you get to town?"

"I got here last night. It was a really nice drive."

Jane knocked on the door, "Come in" a very feminine voice called softly. "Hey Doc." Jane smiled.

"Hi Jane!" the woman replied, closing down her laptop. 'Probably shoe shopping again' Jane shook her head, smile still on her face.

"Really, Ash? Shoe shopping at work?"

"Come on, Jane," she laughed, "I have nothing to do today."

Jane chuckled. "Anyways, this is Josh Westington. He's the new DA from Chicago. Josh, this is the fabulous Ashley Harris. The Chief Medical Examiner of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts."

"Wow, Jane. That was an over the top introduction." Ashley stood up from behind her desk and walked towards them. She held her hand for Josh to take, "It's nice to meet you, Josh."

"Likewise, Dr. Harris. I've heard a lot of good things about you and your work. I am very impressed." Josh shook her hand.

"Thank you." Ashley smiled.

"Hey Ash, can you give Josh a small tour of down here and introduce him to Suzie? I have to make a quick phone call." Jane said. She needed to check on Maura.

"Sure, Jane. Follow me, Josh." Ashley led him out of the office and down the hall.

Jane waited for them to be out of ear shot and sat on Ashley's couch. She pulled out her phone and clicked on Frost's picture. It started ringing but there was no answer. She tried again, "Come on Frost, Pick up." Again, no such luck.

"Damn it." she muttered under her breath. "Damn it. Damn it. Damn it! Ugh!"

"Thank you for the tour, Dr. Harris. I look forward to working with you." Josh said as the pair returned to Ashley's office.

"It was my pleasure, Josh. I hope your house hunt goes well." She walked back towards her desk and started gathering her things. "Jane I got to go, crime scene. I'll talk to you later, ya?"

Jane nodded, "sure, sounds good Ash. Come on Josh. I'll take you to homicide and you can meet my partners." Jane walked them back towards the elevator. The elevator arrived faster than earlier. Right as the doors were closing, Jane's phone buzzed. 'Please be Frost' she hoped. She pulled her phone out and saw Ashley's name above the message icon. She opened the text, "I don't like him Jane. He gives me a bad vibe. Please be careful."

Jane sighed. 'At least it isn't just me'.

"So this is homicide. There are about 15 detectives in this unit. It's a little small but we get the job done. I think a few of them have the day off so you'll probably meet a good handful now." Jane led Josh into the bullpen. She glanced around the room for Maura and Frost but didn't see them.

"Hey Jane. Who's the new guy?" Korsak came through the other doors carrying coffee.

"Hey Korsak, this is Josh Westington. He's our new DA. Josh, this is Sergeant Detective Vince Korsak. He's one of my partners."

"Nice to meet you Sergeant. " Josh said as they shook hands. Korsak nodded.

"Hey Korsak, where's Frost?" Jane asked. She didn't like that Frost was gone all of a sudden and not answering his phone.

"No idea, Jane. I had to go prep with Dan earlier for the case next week. I haven't seen him." Korsak replied and sat at his desk.

"Okay, well tell him I need to talk to him when you-"

"Jane. What's going on?" Frost asks when he walks back in from Bric.

Jane just stared at him. 'What's going on?' she thought. Where have you been, why haven't you answered your phone when I called, where the hell is Maura, and so many other questions threatened to come out of her mouth. 'How is he so calm? I basically told him to watch Maura like a hawk and here he is so where is she?'

"Hey man" Frost turned to Josh. "My names Barry Frost. I'm Jane's partner."

Josh reached to she his hand, "Nice to meet you Frost. I'm Josh Westington. I'm gonna be the new DA here. Jane was just giving me the tour. So far this place is a lot nicer than Chicago. I was shocked that you have the lab inside this building. Back home the lab and the medical examiners offices is in another building-"

"Where the hell is she?" Jane growled to Frost.

"Across town" Josh trailed off quietly. Clearly he was finished talking to Frost. But he was getting quite interested in who Jane and Frost were talking about.

"Jane, before you get mad..." Frost tried to speak.

"Too late I'm already there. Where is she." Jane seethed

"She is with Remey and her partner."

"Who the hell do you think you are, Frost?!" Jane roared. "Did I tell you to call Remey? Why would you call her and tell her to come talk to Maura when I was gone? Why would you do that? Do you know how hard it was to get her to trust Sasha? Where the hell did they take her?" Jane was practically in Frost's face.

"Jane, calm down."

"Oh my god Frost, you did not just tell me to calm down."

"Jane...."

"Where the hell did they take her Frost. I will not ask again."

"Interrogation 3" Frost barely got out before Jane took off like a bat out of hell.

Frost stood there routed to the ground for a few minutes. Not sure what the hell just happened.

"Hey Frost?" Josh tried to get his attention. "Do you think I could get the rest of the tour? I'm not sure how much is really left. I already saw the morgue and lab. I also don't know how to get back to the parking garage...." he trailed off.

"Oh um yeah sure. Follow me." Frost agreed. He shot Korsak a look and left the bullpen with Josh right behind him. They made small talk along the way. Frost showed him the breakroom and some of the other divisions. They were just about to go to the elevator when they heard loud but slightly muffled yelling. Frost grew concerned and followed the noise to the interrogation rooms.

"So here's the interrogation rooms. There are no major cases for us at the moment so nothing really fun happening here."

"Oh man, is that Jane yelling? You can hear that through the closed door." Josh mused. It was true that anyone walking within 10 feet of the door could hear Jane yelling. He walked right up to the small window and peered inside. Jane's hands were going a mile a minute. Someone was sitting in the chair across from another detective, what he believed.

"Hey man ready for the next stop?" Frost tried to get Josh away from the window. He knew Jane would kill him if she found them watching her interaction. Hell he knew he was already dead for what he did but he couldn't fix it now.

"Yeah, give me a second." Josh asked, never taking his gaze from the window. Jane started pacing and finally the person sitting in the chair became clear. He watched her every move, every breath. She must have felt his eyes on her and she turned to look out the window. Her eyes showed fear and he smiled. She turned her head back to the table so quick that no one noticed the interaction. "Hmm..." he murmured and turned back towards Frost.

"Hey so where's the café in this place? I'm starving." Josh smiled.
