New Assistant: The Juvenile Abduction Case part 1
The moment Sawada Tsunayoshi woke up that morning, he knew something was very wrong.
Since the day before, after he watched certain news, Tsuna sensed that something bad was going to happen.
Helping Ogi-san with his reports, chatting with Kei-kun and Yuuta-kun, making dinner for Inaba-san, nothing wrong with his day. Maybe his Intuition's wrong this time?
Oh, how wrong is he.
After his part-time is over, Tsuna decided to buy some things for tomorrow's breakfast. Even his intuition has been ringing and told him to go back to his apartment faster, the brunet still goes to the market quite far from the Agency.
But Tsuna needs to trust his intuition more often. Ignoring his hyper intuition was a big no.
It was night time, 7 PM when he just comes back from the market and in his halfway to his place, suddenly his Intuition piercing as he felt himself being watched and after making several turns, he was sure he was being followed. Tensing slightly, he speeds up his pace.
It was dark and gloomy night as Tsuna raced quickly down the dark alley, the only light to see by came from a single streetlight a ways off. The stars and moon were covered by thick clouds and in the place where the full moon should have been an eerie glow were instead, he immediately took a phone from his pocket, but in his rush, the brunet tripped over what must've been a crack in the concrete (and dropped his phone along with groceries he bought earlier), or so he thought. But he soon realized that he might have been wrong, for as he stood he noticed a set of feet not far in front of him.
A tall, pale, strong-looking, almost shoulder-length, black hair and greyish brown eyes man was smirking at him.
Sawada Tsunayoshi cursed his luck.
He was too focused at the man in front of him to notice a dark figure move behind him, he heard footsteps, but it was too late. Suddenly, the pain started to flood his vision as something hit him as he was thrown to the ground from behind. He tried to turn his now bleeding head to see what it was, but it was too late. His head throbbed and he could feel a bit of blood starting to pour out the wound. His vision swam and he fell on the ground. Before his world turned dark, the last thing he remembered was a sentence that made him froze: 'Hey, Hanami- I mean Akudō, this boy really has an active Flame.'
...Oh, no
In the fine morning, a bunch of police seems to spread around an old apartment building, some talking to the landlord or other tenants, some were still looking around. "This makes the ninth victim of this case," muttered one of the police officers, he was looking a blood trail at the corner of the building.
"Does anyone found the identity yet?!" yelled another officer.
"We found a phone!" shouted a female officer from near a dump. "But we can't open it. This phone has tight security."
"What should we do?" one of the police officers asked his superior who still staring at the crime scene.
"Let me see the phone," said the black-haired male police. He inspected a bit of the phone, his eyes wide in shock as his mind tried to get its bearings over the situation.
"No…" The Police's Inspector whispered slowly. "It can't be happening..."
"Hey, someone brings a sample of blood to the lab! We can check their DNA!" yelled the female officer.
"No need." the black-haired inspector said.
"Why, Inspector?"
"...Because I know who's the victim this time."
"Waaa~ Kei, I'm so bored," Hiroshi whined as he slumped down on the empty seat beside his assistant. "What are you reading?" asked the redhead as he saw Kei reading a book.
No answer...
"Kei~"
Finally, the black-haired teen sighed and inserted a bookmark between the pages. He looked at the redhead. "Am I your only source of amusement?" Kei asked.
"Yeah~," Hiroshi answered.
"Look, Inaba-san..." Kei said, "Instead of fooling around, why don't you find a client?"
Hiroshi pouted. "But that's boring." The black-haired teen just shook his head and continued reading his book.
When his assistant ignored him, Hiroshi had a new idea. He started tapping his fingers on the table. That annoyed Kei very much.
"INABA-SAN, STOP IT!" Kei yelled.
The redhead smirked. He knew he caught the teen's attention now. Kei put his book on the table, hard. He glared at Hiroshi. "Tell me what I have to do so you will stop bothering me."
"Amuse me," Hiroshi answered.
"I'm not so sure about that, Hiroshi," Ogi, who just came, said. He sat in front of the redhead and his black-haired assistant.
"Ogi..!" Hiroshi brightened up at the arrival of his 'former' partner. "What do you bring for me?" but then frowned at the dark and sad atmosphere around Ogi.
"Oi baka-inspector, what's wrong?" it was Yuuta who questioned the police inspector as the blonde assistant stopped typing on his laptop, Kei also stopped his reading and looked at the older male.
Ignoring the insult, Ogi still stared at them with serious looks, "I... I bring bad news for you, very bad news." he said quietly. "It's about your assistant."
When Hiroshi turned his attention to Kei and Yuuta who looked confused, Ogi shook his head. "Not them. It's your new assistant."
"Tsuna?" asked the redhead.
"What's wrong with him?" asked Kei, "Oh yeah, he's a little late today, right?" he took a glance at the clock on the wall.
"Do you guys know about the kidnapping case that's being talked about lately?" Instead of answering, the police inspector questioned them.
"Yeah, it appeared in the news this morning too." as Hiroshi said this, Yuuta replay the news on his laptop.
"… Police factoring in the possibility of indiscriminate kidnapping in their outlook and will continue their investigations. No pattern found as several teens become victim, another mysterious serial disappearance in this week…"
Ogi takes out a manila folder (from his suit) and handed it to Hiroshi, "This is the reports about the victim of the case," he paused, "Please read the last page, Hiroshi."
Confused, the redhead took the said files from Ogi and began to read. It contained the information about the victims; name, age, gender, witness, the time of disappearance, or other information like that. But, when Hiroshi read the last page, he suddenly froze, becoming tense. What he read made him speechless.
"Ogi... tell me it's not true..." he looked at the other male, hoping it's all just a joke made by the said inspector.
"Inaba-san, what's wrong?" Kei asks worriedly. What made him scared all of sudden?

"...afraid no, Hiroshi." Ogi looked serious and sad, "Your new assistant has become the ninth victim of this case."
Tsuna's eyes fluttered as he came into consciousness from the unsuspected blow. The first thing he noticed was the throbbing in his head. It made his mind a bit foggy, made it a bit difficult to piece together his thought. The second thing he noticed was that his wrists were handcuffed strongly (glad not his feet). He suddenly sat up, realizing that he had been lying down the entire time. From the sitting position, he had a much clearer view of the surroundings. He felt cold, hard floors underneath his body. The brunet finally sees where he was held, a small room without any window and with a closed doorway as the exit, the wallpaper was peeling and he could see mold making its way down from the ceiling, the floor was a cracked concrete, and there was nothing to see inside the room.
Keeping his breaths even, the brunet closed his eyes for a moment, quickly sifting through the information he had just gathered. The poor shape of the room probably meant that he had been stashed somewhere, most likely in the basement of a condemned building of some sort.
How can he be careless to be capture like that? To think he has been kidnapped by unknown people...
No...
Tsuna has been reading about the serial kidnapping case that's happened in the last few days. The victims always teenagers, boys, or girls. He thought that the purpose of this kidnapping is a ransom first, but the background of the victim is various for some reason; rich heir, normal student, or even an idol. When Tsuna read (hacked) the information of the victims from the police, he though the perpetrator(s) only aiming a random teen. But oh, he was wrong...
'...this boy really has an active Flame.'
That sentence hit him hard than a blow on his head.
The Dying Will Flame is regarded as the symbol of the Mafia World, so of course, the only one who knows about the Flames is Mafioso or other people connected with the underworld directly or indirectly.
That means the one who responsible for this kidnapping case is people from the mafia. That thought, in one variation or another, had been chasing itself around Tsuna's mind since his conversation with Yuni the days before.
Little flashback
The night after his meeting with certain Goat (AN~ see chapter 1: Meet the Goat), Tsuna got another call from his fellow Sky.
"Oh, Tsu-kun, I forgot to tell you something else!"
"...Don't tell me.. aside from both of them, anyone else will come?!"
"*giggled* don't worry, only them who will come this time."
"Huh?"
"Nothing~ Anyway, what I want to tell you is I have another vision."
Tsuna straightened slightly, "What's it, Yuni?"
"Some people from our world will come to Tokyo soon."
"Eh?"
"I don't know who and why, but they obviously have bad intentions there. Just be careful..."
"Okay, Yuni. Thank you."
end Flashback
'So... Yuni was talking about this, huh?' Tsuna groaned, 'Honestly, what happens in Tokyo these days? First Valentino, and now this?" Tokyo is supposed to be Cavallone's territory, they should be watched over and maintain order in the country. Their job is to pass judgment on other famiglia and yakuza in Tokyo, smooth out the communication between them in the area, and keep them in the order. 'Hmm, so some rats were able to hide from Dino-nii's surveillance, huh ..?'
'Who are these men really?'
Before he could continue his musing, the door was creaked open and a man around 20 or more year old entered the room. He has gray-black eyes, a slick, black hair, and one longer side-swept fringe that covers his left eye. He also has a mole under his right eye.
Tsuna watched warily as the man stared at him for some moments. There is one expression that Tsuna caught from the man before that was covered with his poker face; pure surprise.
Then the man approached him, "Well, well, well, who would have thought when targeting a Koi among the other fishes, we caught a golden Koi in the end?" he said with a smile that not reached his eye. "Right, Vongola Juudaime-sama?"
In a certain room, a figure was sitting hidden by the dark curtain.
Five other men in the black suit were standing, scattered around the room with their focus on the sitting man.
"Nanadaime!" began the voice from behind the curtain of shadows. A man approached the figure and started to go into a kneeling posture before a hand reached out from behind the darkness and waved that motion off. The man has dark-colored skin and a very short beard. He is very tall and has an extremely muscular body, he also has short black hair, that is styled with two stripes each at the sides of his head.
With a nod, the man stood straight, "Akudō and I succeed capture another flame-user potential, a boy around 16-year-old. Ryuu was waiting for him to wake up to look at his flame's type."
Everybody in the room could feel their leader's nod, despite the fact that they could not peer past the darkness shrouding him. Then the man spoke in a surprisingly soft but strong masculine voice, "Good job Gōriki and Akudō. I hope we got a Sky this time or at least Cloud. Those two types are very rarely found among an ordinary civilian." There was a pause, and the leader seemed to be thinking about something before he spoke once more "What about the cops?"
This time a different man, a messy black hair man with an average height and build, wears black glasses on the gray eyes. "Don't worry, Tesshin." Unlike the first man who acts very polite with the leader, the second man's behavior is more casual. Smirking, he said "The Japanese Police is stupid- I mean slow. I will make sure that they never found out about us." His eyes which usually squinted opened and give the leader a hard face. "It's another family I'm worried about."
"Ah Ichi-san, did you mean the Italian Family, the Cavallone?" spoke another man with average height and build. He is shown to be very agile and athletic. He has short, blond hair and a pair of oval-shaped eyes with dark pupils. He also has a snaggle tooth in the right corner of his mouth. "I heard their Decimo came a few days ago."
...
Silence filled the room, the rest of them stared at the blonde man who only stared them back, "Nani?"
The first man, Gōriki quickly approached the blonde and whacked him in the head, "Not 'what' baka! What do you mean the Cavallone's Decimo came to Japan? And why don't you report it to us?!"
"Ouch~ that's hurt, Gō-chan ..." whined the blonde, "I think my brain cushioned most of the blow. Oh, well~ I wasn't using it anyway." he said, with a bright smile.
Everyone wants face-palmed at this.
"YOU IDIOT!" Gōriki shouted at the younger male. "DON'T BE JOKE AROUND!"
"Enough," said the man who leaning on the wall. He has long black hair that reaches his chin, with two strands of hair falling down to his gentle-looking eyes. In comparison to the other people in the room (except the sitting man), his stature is noticeably taller and more slender. "Gōriki, watch your temper in front of the leader." he scolded the bigger man, "And Raiju?" then he turned his attention to the blonde who could only fidget at the annoyed look the taller man was giving. "Explain."
"Ha! Serve you right to have Yasha angry." the last man in the room, Akudō smirked. He's a very mischievous looking male who has pale skin, almost shoulder-length, dead black hair (parted with some locks between his eyes) and greyish brown eyes.
"Yes, Yasha-nee." the blonde, Raiju finally said. "Two days ago, when my men and I come to Rōzuuddo (Rosewood) Bar, some men from local Yakuza, Kujou or something, were talking about their alliance with Cavallone."
"Only that?" Ichi asked, "Do you think they know about us?"
"I don't think so, Ichi-san." Raiju shook his head, "If they know of our existence, they will know right away, This is their territory after all. But because our 'project' has been running for about a week and there are no signs of movement from the Cavallone, we are still safe." He takes his cellphone, scrolls it, before continuing, "Of course, just in case, I have some men to keep watch. But apparently the Cavallone's Don already left Tokyo."
"Hmm, thank you for the report, Raiju. Continue gathering information for now." The man in the shadow stood up, reveal a very tall man wearing a gray suit with an orange necktie, he has half-long, brown hair that frames his dark eyes and gazed at his surrounding. "Gōriki and Akudō can take a break for today. Ichi, I want you to help Ryuu in the 'Factory'. And Yasha will search for the flame users this time, we still need more."
All of them stand and salute.
"Yes, boss."
