The Hunt

Chapter 1: The Prey

Jaspers POV

I raced through the pines of lush trees at inhuman speed, the fresh scent filling my nostrils as i chased my prey. She was a petit little thing spiked hair, blue dress, matching blue headband and fancy black floural tights. She was beautiful and she was going to be mine very soon. It didnt take long, you see she was only human, running off pure addrenalin and fear her frail small body stopped behind one of many trees using it as a base to hide from me. Silly lady.

"good game ma'am, for a minute there i almost thought you were going to run the whole length of the entire forest." I teased the small girl, her beautiful eyes dilating as they lock on to my blood red ones.

Her small frame trembled and i could see she was still trying to catch her breath, though i did smirk when i saw the tinged hue on her cheeks, it could easily be written off as pure blood rush based on the running she had done to get away from me, and i would have thought that to, if my power to manipulate, change and feel emotions wasn't there. But they were, and she was definitely falling for the alluring charm and attractive trap that our kind have. Its built in like an automatic lure if you like, our appearance to humans is like an attraction trap. They think we are beautiful by looks because that is how we entice our pray we are designed that way, and this poor beautiful spiky haired young lady just fell for traps 1 and 2.

1- never look into our eyes. No, its a common missconception to say we can hipnotize. Maybe some of my kind actually could, but i can not and i've never seen anyone else around that could. Its basically any easy trap, our eyes are different and the human eye once upclose is actually quite quick on picking up details, especially ones that arn't natural to them. And they automatically freeze up once seeing this.

2- Looks, yes i know i just said i cant hypnotize , but our body is that way automatically i guess, you musn't linger , the longer you do the less chance you have of serviving.

I should really get this over with but in truth ive never had this much fun, and im in a playful mood, and so i decided i would entertain her for just a little while, she was going to speak of this i am certain.

"What's your name ma'am?" I smile charmingly at her , and she answers just like i knew she would.

"Alice" she sqeaked

I listened her voice was actually quite adorable, her eyes not so wide any more, what an odd young lady. Her body was still stiff, this was good it meant she was on guard still.

"And what name does my mysterious, charming, and attractive predator go by?" This time her voice was a little calmer but it was still sqeaky

" Major Jasper Whitlock, Ma'am" I smiled as i said this .

" Alice Cullen" she politely said

This lady was beautiful , and odly polite to her preditor , as she so cooly put it. And at first i was going to kill her, but she introduced herself and her last name hit me, and it hit me hard.

The Cullens are a small family, but they are very deadly, they hunt vampires such as myself to keep the public safe. However not everything is as it seems as this little one ran away from me and ran all the way into the forest of all places, if she was going to kill me or entrap me she would have done so by now. It was my turn to put my guard up. I thought i knew about all the cullens, it wasnt like me to mess up on information and intel but clearely i did.

"Miss Alice Cullen, what's your game plan here? I see no weapon on you and im no stranger to your kind young lady. Tell me!" I demanded

I had her pressed up the tree in seconds, i didnt trust her now knowing she was a Cullen, she could be acting for all i knew. I was stupid to get this close. But i couldnt just walk away it would make me look weak. If i took her for myself, maybe turn her, then throw her back to her coven of hunters I wonder what the outcome would be? My faciual features twisted into that of an evil smirk as i pictured the cullen family deliberating on weather to just kill her outright, or watch them scurry about like rats trying to find a cure to which there is none.

"Please, im not like my family I don't hunt, i can't ..." she dropped her speach suddenly

"You can't what!?" I demand

"Fight." it was a ghost of whisper

Oh, but i heard it, would explain why she ran.

"Why miss Alice , you may have made an error revealing that last part to me. Im going to enjoy this.

I watched her as she closed her eyes tight, i could feel her emotions now and they were delicious. Fear, panic , arroused. I amplified her arroused emotion and sent it back at her full force, i saw her eyes grow dark with pure lust , i chuckled low and it only served to add to her excited and confused state, I brought my head down then and i kissed her, i relished the taste , so indulgent, so innocent. Mine!

She moaned into the kiss, shes enjoying it, i made sure she would , her body shaking from the waves of pure pleasure that hit her, she's so high i bet she'd go for anyone passing by. Lucky little miss petit , im here for you. I broke the kiss just to leave a trail of soft kisses down her beautiful neck, she pushes against my body but not to get away, I bared my fangs and pierced the skin on her neck, it came sharp, I can feel the pain iv'e caused her as it flows around me, and as I slowly begin to drain her I could taste her blood, it was addictive, christ it was going to be torture to pull away, but i've left my mark its enough for now. I withdraw my fangs and pull away from her neck , I fed from her but i wouldn't want to finish her off, she's the perfect way of getting to the rest of her family, but first, I need to do some research on her, each of those cullens are gifted in something, she wasnt blessed with strength and so im going to release her back to her little coven of hunters and find out just exactly what she could do.

I noticed that she was looking pale but that wasn't what was bugging me, it was weak but i could see that she was smiling at me. Oh she was definitely an odd young lady of that i was also certain. I didnt bother to ask her if she could walk, I just scooped her up into my arms and carried her just outside of her family home.

"Well miss Alice, do be careful, not all the predators out here are going to be as nice as i was tonight. Until next time ma'am." I slowly place her down making sure she was stable on her feet. I then take her hand and bring it slowly to my lips , kissing the back of her palm as I ducked my head and then swiftly made my way out of enemy territory before her family knew i was there.
