Too! So this is the first story I want to post here This won't be a crossover-fanfic I'm just giving Deku a quirk that seems fitting for him.

Just to warn you all I'm not a talented writer and I'm just doing this for the fun of it so don't expect a lot out of me, though I am willing to take criticism so try not to mince words since I'm a direct kinda person.

The Sin of Sloth

Quirks, a phenomenon where a person develops a unique power. The first person in the world to manifest a Quirk was a newborn baby in Qingqing City, China; the baby had the ability to emanate light from their body. After this event, more people around the world started developing quirks. Many thought to believe that quirks are a disease the originated from mice. Thereon quirk became a part of society.

This is a tale of Heroes and Villains. Where a world filled with people with strange and unique power resides. This story is about how a young boy becomes a hero like no other.

Izuku Midoriya a young boy at the age of 4 was quite a skinny child. He appearance while somewhat plain we're still noteworthy, having fluffy green hair on top of his head, bright green eyes, and freckles in the shape of diamonds on his cheek. He was wearing a plain orange t-shirt and blue shorts. admitted a cute child for most standards. Currently, he along with his mother was at the doctor's for a check-up to see if he finally had a quirk.

Inko Midoriya, Izuku's mother a beautiful woman in her early 30's, and clearly where Izuku inherited his looks. She has green hair similar to her which flows down her back. She has green eyes a shade darker than her son, she very well rounded figure covered by a white blouse and a black office skirt the reached slightly over her knees.

both Midoriya's are seated within an examination room. The shorter greenette was seated on a medical bed while the older of the duo was on a stool beside the bed. They are now waiting for the results of the test.

"Well, it does seem your son has a quirk Mrs. Midoriya" The doctor finally spoke.

Izuku after hearing the doctor's proclamation was excited and it showed as he was now on the edge of his seat his hand clenched into fists all the while being star-eyed. "Yehay! did you hear that mom I finally have my quirk! I wonder what my quirk is gonna be like? is it gonna be like your attraction of small things?! or maybe it'll be like dad's fire breath?! or maybe even be like All Might's quirk?!" As the young started excitedly asking questions the mother couldn't be happier for her child as she was smiling towards him. happy that he got his wish of getting a quirk. not being able to contain her happiness long she hugs her baby boy who now started muttering things.

The doctor who was watching the scene was also smiling glad that the boy seems excited and happy. Clearing his throat to gain their attention he started speaking again. "while yes, young Midoriya here has a quirk it seems that it hasn't yet manifested so you might have to wait for a few days to see what his quirk is." The doctor told them both. They nodded at the news it wasn't uncommon for children quirks not to manifest instantly or be noticeable at first glance, quirks weren't known for their predictability after all.

The mother and son duo soon gave their thanks to the doctor, and shortly after left to go back home hand in hand. On the walk to their residence, the shorter of the green heads are talking animatedly as to what his quirk could be while the other just giggled at her child glad that he was so happy. Thinking that the occasion needed celebration the mother had an idea and looked down at her son and said. "Izuku, honey as soon as we get home ill make udon for dinner as celebration how does that sound?" Izuku after hearing what his mother said and beamed up towards her.

After dinner, Inko noticed her son was tired and decided to tuck him in bed. Picking him up, she carried him into his room and helped him into his pajamas, tucking him Izuku with his eyelids already have closed asked. "mom can I be a Hero?" Inko hearing her son speak or more like whisper due to how quiet he was softly said with a smile. " Yes, my sweetheart you'll be the greatest of them all." She told him noticing he was finally asleep with a smile on his face and decided to head to bed as well after giving one last kiss on her child's forehead.

Next day

The next morning Izuku got up bright and early to start his morning and to get ready for school. He couldn't wait to tell others that he had a quirk albeit not knowing what his quirk was yet though he thought he'll figure it out soon enough.

After doing his morning rituals, and saying a farewell to his mother. Izuku to set off to school, going down the stair of the apartment complex he found someone waiting for him at the bottom of the stairs. The person more like a kid was the same age as Izuku. He had ashen blonde hair a somewhat tan complexion and red eyes that we're filled with mirth. He had a smirk on his face as he notices Izuku on the last set of stairs. "Hey Deku! glad to see your back from the appointment! so how was it what's the verdict?." Izuku couldn't help but smile after hearing the other speak. This was kaa-chan or more commonly known as Katsuki Bakugou.

"Well, the appointment was great! the doctor said

I have the extra joint in my toe confirming I have a quirk." Izuku responded.

Bakugou grins at the news. "that's great I knew you had a quirk! ya, damn nerd."

Izuku chuckles at his friend's choice of words. Despite being quite vulgar for age and a bit mean outright disrespectful at times. He knew that Bakugou was nice sorta. "though we haven't been able to tell what my quirk is yet since it hasn't shown itself yet."

"that's fine, though don't think I'll stop calling you Deku once your quirk pops up!" Bakugou shouts out.

Izuku nervously laughs at this knowing that the blonde meant no harm and that the nickname was more a form of endearment to him.

After the small chat, both boys started heading to school. All the while they are talking about what quirk the greenette could possibly manifest.

Aldera Junior High

School, for the most part, was still normal despite the rise of quirks.

"There are certain classes and counseling for people who gain their quirks. While quirks are amazing phenomena, like most powers they must be handled with responsibility. During the pre quirk era, most people with quirks were feared because of a few misuses..."

'In that most classes are still ungodly focused on history and that it's incredibly boring.' Izuku thought to himself write notes down as the teacher drones on. Even though the mystery of quirks made history fascinating school is still school and mostly history was mostly only a retelling of a story that's mostly used for its moral impact.

Lost in thought Izuku was playing with his pencil rolling it up down as the teacher gave a short break for the students to catch up on writing. Izuku had a hand on his cheek looking up at the teacher only half paying attention to what he was doing and what the teacher was saying. Because of this, he didn't notice the slight glow of his body gave out which was a weak green light barely noticeable if one weren't paying attention and that said glow envelope the pencil for a short time making the timing of a roll slightly off.

Izuku though barely paid any mind to this and simply wrote it off as him putting a little more effort in the previous roll.

Time skip

After both History and Math finished the student we're given a recess break to eat snacks and to rejuvenate some energy for the rest of the classes.

Both Izuku and Bakugou got up and grab their food to go outside. Later outside they were position near a tree by the front of the school to eat their lunch, they weren't alone though as few other students were with them, both boys. One had a weird finger quirk while the other seems to have wings on his back.

The two with them weren't really friends over either but we're mostly there because of Bakugou, having a pretty flashy and powerful both wanted stick it to someone who draws attention in hopes that they also get some attention out of it.

Izuku didn't think this though, and naively thought they were friends. Bakugou who was quite sharp for his age new they were there mostly because of him but paid no mind to them unless they were to start something.

The boys were idly chatting while eating at a leisure pace.

"hey! Deku! I heard you went and got an appointment?" Mac the boy with wings asked.

"I did. The doctor said I had a quirk, although it hasn't manifested yet." Izuku said slightly down.

Sho the boy with the finger snorted after hearing this and decided to taunt the greenette. "Ha! that means your still useless!" after saying that he started laughing. Izuku hearing what was said got hurt and had some tears in his eye but it was hidden after bowing his head.

Bakugou seeing the exchange scowled at the boy and growled. "that's enough you damn extra! he just hasn't manifested his quirk! so don't go making fun of him!" Bakugou's right hand was raised and miniature explosions comparable to pops were dancing in his hand to increase his threat." Besides I'm the only allowed to call him Deku! so you better shut it!"

While Sho got the shit scared out of him Izuku looks at Bakugou with a grateful look on his face. "thanks kaa-chan." He said sincerely to his blonde friend.

"don't mention it ya damn nerd." The blonde Huffs at him for a moment then smirked. "Besides I don't want my rival being picked on by some no named extras" the blonde finished with a challenging smirk.

Izuku at first smiled at the first part and afterward grew a smirk at his friend's statement. While both boys had completely different personalities near a mile wide both for some reason felt the other was a form of a rival, and through this gained a special bond for one though, though only one the two would admit it out aloud.

Though without the other three noticings Sho glared at the greenette. 'that damn Midoriya!' he though in anger. 'Why does Bakugou even think of him as a friend! he doesn't even have a quirk yet either.' To him, it didn't make sense why Bakugou thought so highly of the other boy, while he wouldn't call Bakugou a friend he thought of him more a pack leader someone similar to him, a punk who wouldn't follow rules and also had a similar thought process of seeing people as inferior to him.

Little did the boy know Bakugou wasn't one who saw people as equals out of nowhere. The blonde believed in actions and despite the green-haired boy's lack of quirk at the moment still, proved himself to Bakugou a while back when he shared his dream to the blonde which was similar to the blondes own dream. The green-headed boy's dream was to become the symbol of peace, while the blonde wanted to surpass All Might. Both had similar dreams but we're also different. Because of this, the blonde both found a friend and a rival in the green-eyed youth.

Bakugou had yet to hear either of the other two to have such dreams or convictions. So for the most part, they were still in the category of extra in the red-eyed youth's eyes. They weren't in the same league as Deku who in his mind already showed his spirit to the blonde by having such similar goals as his own.

After this, the bell sounded to signify the end of their break.

It was now an English class and the lesson was simply writing down the English counterparts of animal names.

"So can anyone here tell what the is the English word for Inu?" The English teacher asked the class.

Some students rose their hands at this and the teacher looked at the few students and contemplated who to pick. Spotting a familiar mop of green hair the made his decision. "ahh yes! Midoriya can you please tell the answer to the class and also write down it's spelling here on the board?"

Izuku stood up after hearing his teacher sh his name. "the answer is dog." After saying that the youth walked up to the front to write it down on the board. Reaching the front he looked for some chalk on the chalk ledge to write down his answer.

As this was happening the greenette failed to notice the green glow around him again but a certain few did. Namely the teacher and Bakugou. The other children simply weren't paying enough attention to notice the light green glow on the boy. The teacher just smiled knowingly happy for his student, Bakugou wanted to say something but held himself back noticing Deku hadn't seemed to know what was happening to him.

While Izuku was searching a faint green glow enveloped a piece of chalk on the chalk ledge, after that the glow seemed to take hold on the object and jostled into slightly. This caught the eye of Izuku and happily reached for the chalk, noticing the green glow fading from the chalk while reaching out for it.

After grabbing the chalk Izuku wrote down the spelling on the board and went back to his seat. Noticing the grinning face of his friend, he tilted his head to the side and was asking a question with actually asking, Bakugou simply shook his head not bothering to answer. Izuku simply shrugged his shoulders and continued to go back to his seat.

After that everything else that happened in school was pretty normal. During the whole day, Bakugou would notice the Deku at times would gain the same aura he saw during English appear occasionally, though he made no effort in mentioning this and just grinned at the other boy.

Izuku noticed the looks the other boy was giving him throughout the whole day but despite asking numerous times he didn't get a straight answer.

Now it was the end of the school day everyone was mostly already out, Those who weren't out were cleaners for the day so they stayed behind. Among the day's cleaners was Bakugou. "Deku! go on ahead we'll finish cleaning here and I'll meet you on the way home." Bakugou then smirked at the other. "Hell! I could probably beat you going back home!" Izuku giggled at the blondes antic and decided to leave though not before wishing the others well getting one back as well.

Making it out of the school building Izuku was lost in thought about Bakugou's antic during the day and why he kept avoiding answering his question. Walking into the yard of the school and taking his usual route to the gate that leads out the school. Along this route was the tree that they had sat under for shade during the recess, as he was walking by he noticed a commotion at the playground area.

Earlier with Sho

"dang it! dang, it!! dang, it!!!" He said to him after leaving class. 'god dang it! why!? why does that no good quirkless fool so hard to humiliate!?' He thought to himself angrily kick up some pebbles along the way out of school.

During class what everyone failed to notice was that not had tried sabotaging the green-headed kid throughout the duration of the remaining classes. Although they weren't severely bad, at first he tried making the greenette feel inadequate by questioning his knowledge anytime the boy was called to answer, though he quickly found out that despite trying was quickly proven that he himself lacked the knowledge of course seeing as they were kids this only garnered a laugh and the class thought it was himself trying to play the joker.

After that attempt failed he tried tripping the other boy or stealing his items. Though this also failed, while trying to trip the broccoli head found out that said broccoli head seemed to have a six sense and seemed to completely bypass his attempt while not even batting an eye, he had tried several times while the greenette was not paying attention but this didn't seem to change the result, his other attempts at trying to steal some of the other boy's stuff were also thwarted, despite some attempt on his part trying to hide the objects he stole the greenette somehow always knew where to look to find said items, worse yet when he tried keeping the item in his pocket the other boy seemed to get lucky any time he turned around and spot it.

So in short, he was pissed. He needed an outlet for his frustrations and that's why he was at the playground, he remembered that one of the students from the other classes always came to this spot to be picked up by her parents. He also knew the girl was a bit meek, so he was targeting someone who was easy in his mind.

After waiting a while he saw the girl come around and sat by the tree. He grinned evilly to himself and decided to approach.

Back with Izuku

Izuku was taking in slow on the path so as to give him time to think over the day's recent events. As he was walking by the tree he heard a strange commotion and what sounded like a girl's yell further up and to towards the tree. Deciding to check it out he started to run to the tree.

Arriving at the tree he saw something that made his young heart drop. There Stood Sho standing over a kneeling girl, who from the recent events was now crying, seeing this horrified Izuku. While Izuku was a naive boy he could only think of a few reasons why the girl would be crying, one reason would be that there was an accident in which case Sho was there to help, another reason was that she got frightened by something and Sho was just near enough to be in the area, or the third option was that Sho was bullying the young girl. Though seeing as nothing was sure yet Izuku wasn't going to presume anything.

"Hey! w-whats going on!" he manages to stutter out while running towards their location.

Sho was surprised to see the green-haired boy, but instead of being upset at being caught, he gained a devious smile. 'great Deku's here that means I can also target him' He thought to himself.

Sho moved back a bit from the girl who also heard the other boy and was now looking towards the boy with teary-eyes.

Izuku finally getting to their position subconsciously put himself between who and the girl and went into a ready stance as if to fight if need be. Albeit he was quite scared of the situation he was in. 'I'm terrified! I don't want to fight if it comes down to it... but I can't let Sho hurt her if my suspicions were correct' he thought on shaky legs, his actual amount of confidence being shown.

"Sho! what's going on here!?" He asked the other boy who now stood across from him with a grin on his face.

"Well if it isn't Deku!?" Sho said in an awfully cheery voice. "Well you see I was teaching the girl over there that this is our spot, so I was gonna I've her a little talking down on." Sho continued with a devilish smile this time playing on his lips.

Izuku went rigid at this. 'w-w-what!? Sho was bullying the girl!? but why!?'' The greenette thought to himself frantically trying to think of a reason why the other boy would so this.

"You know Deku" Sho started talking again. "I don't understand why Bakugou keeps hanging around a loser like you, though it probably out of pity, now will you kindly move out the way I still need to teach the girl a lesson," Sho asked with a tone of kindness that did nothing to hind his actual intent.

When the girl heard she started gaining tears again believe she would get hurt. Izuku was having none of it, hearing the other boy say such things lit a fire in him, he stood up straighter and gave a small peek behind towards the girl."H-hey" he called for attention successfully gaining it. "Everything gonna is alright now," he said to her trying to comfort the girl's worry.

Sho seeing this laughed at the other boy. " What's this! gonna try and play hero Deku!? have you forgotten you don't have a quirk!?" Sho shouted to the other boy in amusement not finding him a threat at all.

Izuku's gaze went back to the other boy. 'what can I do in this situation!?'' he thought in worry. ' despite what he's saying he isn't wrong... I haven't yet unlocked my quirk so what am I suppose to do!?''

Sho still seeing Izuku stand in his way gained a scowl. "if you don't move right now Deku I'll hurt you too!" he threatens the other boy, this manages to scare the girl again and she resumed crying.

Izuku hearing the girl cry again made the fire in him blaze into an inferno, unconsciously he started releasing a faint green light from his body then the light started becoming more noticeable indicated by when it darkened to a brilliant emerald. " it's gonna be alright" he said to the girl despite not thinking the words, "do you know why?" this time said it more to himself than the girl. His gaze was firmly locked on Sho who suddenly seemed unsure of himself. "Because I am here." He finished with a tone of confidence that he didn't know he had. But nevertheless, he continued. "I won't let you hurt her Sho!" He screams to the other which seemed to snap him out of his thoughts.

When Sho saw the light around the boy he couldn't believe it and suddenly he found himself faced to face with The other boy he unconsciously to a step back, but after hearing what the other boy said became enraged for some reason and decided to charge.

Izuku saw the boy charge at him and the girl and let his instincts take control. He outstretched his hand palms facing forward and felt himself release, release what he didn't know though he only had one thought during this moment. 'I can't let him hurt her! 'he screamed.

A dome of emerald energy shot from his body encompassing him and bypassing the girl as it grew anything else that seemingly touch the light was push back. Sho found this out the hard way as he felt he had run into a wall, said kept growing by the minute gaining speed and pushing him back further.

With one finale yell, Izuku pushed harder and that seemed to have done it as the dome gave a pulse and shoved the other boy away thankfully not strong enough to hurt him but made him pass out. Izuku shared a similar fate as he was exhausted after the light dissipated he swayed on his feet before finally falling over and passed out.

The girl looked over at the green-haired boy with wide eyes not believe what she saw him do.

With Bakugou

Katsuki was about done with cleaning his side of the classroom, he's side was situated near the corner by the window.

While he was tidying up a few more things by a cabinet he noticed a bright light outside the window. Not only him but others as well, looking out the window he saw a glowing green ball that looks like the source of the light.

"Ha! the nerd finally found out his quirk!" he said more to himself rather than to anyone near him. He only knew one thing or this case person that shared that light and it was his rival. Looking closely at the orb he saw two people in it and one person out, the one outside looked like it was getting pushed by the light similarly with anything else besides the two inside of the orb.

"How fitting." He whispered to himself this time. He ignored the teacher who went rushing outside to check on the students to make sure they were alright, along with some other students to check out the commotion "this will be interesting right Izuku." he finished with an excited smile that gave him a terrifying look.

With Izuku

The last thing he thought before completely losing unconscious was something he wanted to know badly as he struggled to stay awake already failing as he was falling to the ground. 'Is she safe? ' he thought before everything went black.

End

Hey everybody thanks for reading. Like I said, in the beginning, I'm doing this for fun so I'm sorry if it isn't good or if there are a lot of errors. This is my first try at making stories and so far I enjoyed this so I might continue in the long run. I don't know what else to say. I guess thanks for reading??? welp I'm out
