Chapter 8, 'Welcome To The Rainforest'
Bring ya'll to your knees!
Yeah, chapter 8 is out fast! Not much to say, except this chapter is probably going to be long…JUST LIKE MY PENISBUIODBFGH FVB FDCDFBFGKIBGDFNIDGF NIDGF NIBDGPNI BNI O Help.
Anyways, lets get on with it! Enjoy or suffer.
Blu woke up, and it was a beautiful sunrise. He looked down at something equally beautiful: Jewel.
Blu found himself staring at her.
''Wow, she's so beautiful…'', Blu quietly whispered. The sun's rays shone on her soft, beautiful cerulean blue feathers…Her chest slowly rose and fell, and she looked so peaceful…
''This isn't creepy at all…'', Blu muttered. Jewel began to wake up, and Blu looked away, and then looked back.
''Morning sleepyhead.'', Blu greeted her.
''You must be an early riser…'', she said.
''I usually don't get up this early. I think its because my cage is covered for the night, and I get to sleep for longer.'', Blu told her.
''Okay, lets get something to eat, I'm very hungry.'', Jewel said.
''Me too.'', The two got up and climbed down, and made their way to the forest floor.
''Although considering you're a blue emu, I might find it quite hard to get food.'', Jewel remarked.
''Sorry.'', Blu apologised. The two just walked through the forest, and hoped to find someone who could help them.
Meanwhile,
Linda and Fred were passed out on a sidewalk. There were countless missing bird posters across the area, and they had a busy night.
A teenage boy walked up to them, carrying a blue feather.
''Hey, you two.'', he woke them up.
''Huh, what?'', they groaned.
''Are you the one who put those posters up?'', the boy asked.
''Yeah…Hey do you know where he is?'', Linda asked excitedly.
''Yeah, I do! Uh, my name's Mitchie, and I believe this feather belongs to Blu…'', Mitchie told her, and gave her a blue feather. Fred inspected it, and concluded it was in fact, a Blue Cockatoo feather, specifically Blu's.
''Well, can you bring us to him?'', Linda asked.
''Hey wait, are you sure we should trust him?'', Fred asked.
''We have to, its our only hope of finding Blu…Okay, lead the way.'', Linda said.
Mitchie nodded, and took them to the location.
Blu and Jewel were walking through the forest, when they came across two Little Corellas in a hollow, they appeared to be mates.
''Come on you slut!'', one of them, the male said to his mate.
''Hey, you two, can you help us?'', Jewel called out, interrupting what was either a domestic dispute or a kinky love session, either way, it was ended. (or both)
''Sure!'', one of them, the male, spoke. They flew down,
''What seems to be the problem?'', said the other, who also was a male. Blu was surprised to have stumbled across a couple that was over the rainbow. The two corellas were roughly half their size, but were still classified as medium sized parrots. (so don't call them small, as they are about the size of a small macaw)
''Oh, we need help getting this chain off, and also we need food. We haven't eaten in a while.'', Jewel told them.
''By the way, why are you chained together?'', one of them asked.
''We were captured by smugglers, but we escaped.'', Blu answered.
''Oh, okay…Uh, my name's Travis, and this is my wonderful mate, Roy. What's your name?'', Travis introduced him and his mate.
''I'm Jewel.'',
''I'm Blu. Like the cheese that smells really bad…Oh dammit, why did I say that again? Stupid, stupid, stupid…'', Blu introduced himself.
''Righty O'. Also, you don't sound like you're from here…'', Roy pointed out,
''Oh, I'm from America. Although I was born here, somewhere in North Queensland, and I was smuggled to America…'', Blu said, and then looked down sadly at his talons.
''Oh, I'm sorry that happened…Do you know where?'', Travis asked.
''I think near Townsville.'', Blu guessed. Travis snickered,
''Townsville…Hah, only faggots come from Townsville…Which is where I'm from!'', Travis joked.
''Uh, excuse his sense of humour.'', Roy quickly said, ''Which is why I love you…'', he added. The two gazed into each others eyes, and kissed each other.
Blu looked away, and Jewel turned her head slightly, but still looked. She was a bit…intrigued, by this…
''Ahem,'', Blu cleared his throat. The two parted beaks,
''Sorry mate. Anyways, yeah, we'll help you. We actually have some spare food for you two. I'll go get them.'', Travis said. He flew back to the hollow, and brought back a few nuts for Blu and Jewel to eat.
''Here you go.'', Travis said, as he passed them their food.
''Thank you.'', Blu and Jewel said. Jewel immediately grabbed one, and began chewing on it. Blu decided to give it a go, and he bit down into it. It was rather bland, but it will do. Blu had been raised on bird seeds, fruit, and human food, so eating his kind's natural diet was new to him. Jewel seemed to like it. They finished their breakfast, and were well nourished.
''Okay, so can you help us get unchained?'', Jewel asked.
''We can't exactly, but we know someone who lives a short distance away from us who can. Follow us.'', Roy told them.
''How long is it on foot?'', Blu asked.
''What?'', Travis asked, confused.
''I can't fly…'', Blu said with shame.
''Oh, sorry. But don't worry, its not far. Besides, we can get to know each other.'', Travis said.
The four went on a walk to the unspecified someone that could help them. Blu was fascinated by Travis and Roy, especially because Travis mentioned that he was from Townsville. Perhaps they could help him find out what happened to his parents…
''Uh, you mentioned you were from Townsville…When did you move here?'', Blu asked Travis.
''About 15 years ago.'', he answered. Blu lit up.
''By any chance, was there a mass smuggling that you knew of?'', Blu asked. The others began to pick up on something, Blu was full of hope, and also sadness and anxiety.
''Yes, that's why I left. Few escaped, I was very lucky…Can't say the same for the others…'', Travis said sadly, and sighed.
''D-did you know of any Blue Cockatoos?'', Blu asked sadly, his eyes grew humid.
''I did, but I never heard of them again…'', Travis answered. Blu's beak began to shake,
''Did they have a son and a daughter?'', Blu asked, dreading the answer.
''Yes.'', Travis answered. Blu stopped walking, and began to tear up, and breathe heavily.
''Excuse me for a moment…'', Blu trembled, as he tried to hold back tears. Jewel walked up to Blu,
''Hey, its okay…They might be out there still…'', Jewel placed her wing on Blu's shoulder. Blu broke down crying, and Jewel gently prompted him into a hug. Blu buried his face into her chest feathers, as he balled his eyes out.
''There, there…'', Jewel comforted him as she hugged him. She remembered something her mother would do when she was sad, all those years ago…
Jewel with one wing, drew circles on his back, and the other gently stroked his head feathers.
''Shhhh…Its okay…'', Jewel calmed him. Jewel's gentle, motherly embrace had calmed Blu down quickly. In less than a minute, Blu separated, and was only breathing a bit heavy.
''Are you alright?'', she asked softly.
''Yeah…Thank you so much for that, Jewel…'', Blu thanked her, and received a smile. The rest of the walk was quiet…
''We're just about there, but I must warn you, their kids are quite the wingful…'', Roy warned them.
''That's an understatement.'', Travis added. Blu gulped. They heard laughing, and they continued.
''Okay, we're here.'', Roy announced.
''Where is he?'', Jewel asked.
''Patience, princess.'', Travis humourously remarked. Jewel was left agape.
Suddenly, a little Kookaburra chick popped up, and a few more. They were adorable.
''Awww…'', Jewel picked up one of them, her motherly instincts kicking in.
''Oh, they're adorable. What are you talking about?'', Jewel said. Travis and Roy looked at each other, smirking.
Blu was nervous around them, but decided to pick one up.
''Oh be careful Blu, they might snuggle you to death!'', Jewel said in jest. Blu held one close to his chest, and it snuggled into his chest. Blu warmly smiled at it, and felt a strange sense of happiness, like it was his own child…OW!
The chick ripped out a bunch of his chest feathers, and the chicks Jewel was holding grabbed her eyelids and pulled them back. The two poor cockatoos yelped in pain, and ran around a bit, crying out as the corellas laughed hysterically.
''Precious aren't they?'', Travis snickered.
''Well at least we won't have to deal with children, hey Travy?'', Roy purred.
''Yep…'', Travis replied, as they nuzzled beaks.
It was an interesting scene…
Blu and Jewel tripped over each other, and one of the Kookaburra chicks cried out
''Attack!'', suddenly a swarm of the locusts swarmed over the poor cockatoos, but they were interrupted by their father.
''Oi, what is going on down here?'', he called out, and flew down.
''Hey Ray!'', Travis and Roy greeted him.
''Hey mates, both ways.'', Ray greeted Travis and Roy.
''Shoo, stop attacking strangers!'', Ray shooed his kids off the blue cockatoos.
''Thanks for the help you two.'', Jewel sarcastically thanked the corellas.
''No problem.'', Travis sarcastically answered.
''How many kids do you have?'', Blu asked.
''17, and one more on the way!'', Ray answered.
''17?!'', Blu and Jewel gasped.
''And one more on the way!', Ray redundantly added.
''Wow, you must really suck at the pull out game.'', Blu muttered.
''Hey, he is not a maraca, STOP SHAKING HIM!'', Ray yelled at two of his 17 kids who were shaking an egg.
''Oh, don't get me wrong, I love em', but they sure as hell are a wingful! Ugh, this dad needs a break…So, what do you lovebirds want?'', Ray said, and darted up to Blu, ''Apart from mating advice.'', Ray added, and chuckled. Blu and Jewel blushed.
''Oh, we're not lovebirds.'', said Jewel,
''We're more like, friend birds.'', Blu clarified.
''Not that, we're more like 'chained-together-birds'.'', Jewel clarified further.
''Yeah.'', Blu agreed.
''Sure, ''Chained-together-birds'…right…'', Ray snickered, and did the quotation gesture.
''Shut up. Anyways, can you help us get this chain off? I want to be a ''Free spirited parrot'', and Blu here wants to be a ''companion parrot''.'', Jewel remarked. Blu chuckled lightly at their inside joke.
''Ooh, lucky for you, you know Ray, even though we literally just met, and Ray knows everyone. Well, not really, but I know many, many birds. I also know someone who can help you get unchained.'', Ray told them.
''I guess you can say, Everybody Loves Raymond!'', Blu snickered, and started laughing. The others followed suit, including Jewel who laughed in a nervous manner.
''I don't get it.'', everyone except Blu suddenly said.
Blu decided to crack another shitty joke,
''Hey Ray, is your life gay?'', Blu said. Travis cackled a bit, and Roy giggled a bit as well. Ray just stared at Blu,
''Hey, are you the king of the bush?'', Blu continued the joke. It took Ray a second to get the joke.
''Oh my fucking god…'', Ray muttered as he covered his face with his wing, ''Ugh, I get that enough from Travis!'', Ray complained.
''I don't get the joke…'', Jewel said.
''It's a reference to an old Australian poem about the Kookaburra.'', Blu told her.
''Yeah, it seems Travis' humour is quite dry.'', Blu commented.
''Very dry.'', Roy said.
''Its as dry as a nun's cunt!'', Travis exclaimed. Blu and Jewel flinched and shot him a look of horror. If they were drinking, they would've spat it out.
''Oh, that is disgusting!'', Blu spat out in disgust. Travis snickered, he had the perfect opportunity,
''Just like a nun's cunt…'', Travis said with a smirk, and cackled as the two cockatoos reacted. This exchange was put to rest when a female Kookaburra came flying down,
''Hey Roy and Travis. Hey Ray, who are these two?'', Ray's mate greeted.
''Oh, Emily my love, I was going to take these two lovebirds to see Lucas!'', Ray told his mate, Emily.
''Pah, you don't fool me for a second! You just wanted to sneak off with your mates to the pub!'', Emily accused Ray.
''Oh the pub…The place where I met the most amazing and beautiful girl in the world. I still remember the song they were playing!'', Ray cooed to his mate, and began to sing Take On Me, ''Take on me, (take on me) take me on, (take on me). Sing it honey!'', Ray sung pretty well, same could not be said for Emily.
''Cover your ears.'', Travis quickly said.
''IIIII'll beeeee goooone, in a day or TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!'', Emily screeched like a swine banshee being brutally murdered. She was a rather bad singer, to put it very lightly. Luckily for Travis and Roy, they braced and covered their ears, Blu and Jewel had done the same, but a little on the later side.
''Thanks, I didn't need hearing.'', Blu said sarcastically.
''I guess love is deaf, too.'', Jewel muttered.
Ray seemed unphased.
''Sweeter than a river of the sweetest honey, simply angelic!'', Ray cooed, and the two shared a passionate kiss, to the disgust of everyone, especially their kids.
''Ewwww!'', they cried out.
''Gay!'', Travis called out with a smirk, and Roy chuckled,
''You can't talk.'', Blu told him.
''Yeah, I can. See?'', Travis responded dryly.
''Ugh…'', Blu held his wing against his face.
''You'll get used to it!'', Roy said.
''Hope so.'', Blu responded.
''Ol' Travy's in a silly mood today, he gets like this sometimes, especially after breakfast.'', Roy told Blu.
Ray and Emily parted beaks (finally),
''Okay, you can take your mates to Lucas but be back before dinner…'', Emily told her mate, and brought her face closer to his, ''Or else.'', she remarked in jest, and they gave each other a quick peck on the beak, as if their previous make out session wasn't satisfactory.
''I will, I'll miss you my angel!'', Ray cooed.
''I'll miss you too, handsome!'', she cooed back.
The five headed off, as Emily went after her well behaved and totally not piece of shit kids.
''Wow, I can't believe she let me go!'', Ray commented.
''So how far is Lucas?'', asked Blu.
''Not far, about 30 minutes as the crow flies.'', answered Ray.
''Well, how far as the cockatoo walks?'', asked Blu.
''What?'', Ray said, confused.
''Companion parrot here can't fly.'', Jewel said with a smile.
''Hush, free spirited parrot.'', Blu remarked. The two chuckled. Ray just stared,
''It's an inside joke.'', Blu clarified.
Meanwhile,
Some African kid is starving to death, and also, Francis is on the phone to the dealer.
''Yeah, I know, I'm pissed that they lost them, but don't worry, we'll find them. This world ain't big enough for them to hide in.'', Francis said with malice.
''Francis, I'm sure the world is actually big enough because we haven't found them yet.'', Aaron commented.
''Fuck up, drongo!'', Francis replied back. He was interrupted by Sheryl, who stormed in with her child,
''Off to your sisters room.'', she said to Hunter.
''But I don't want girl germs!'', he protested.
''It helps build up your immune system.'', she told him. He headed off, and Sheryl slowly turned to Francis with a look of fury.
''Hunter got sent home. He was in sex ed class, learning about fucking dicks, vaginas, etcetera, and he got up, to walk out of the class. His teacher says, ''Oi, where are ya going?'', and you know what he fucking says? ''I don't wanna learn about fucking cocks! Text me when you hatch your clutch.''.'', she told him. Francis, Aaron and Troy open their mouths wide in a silent, surprised laugh.
''FRANCIS YOU FUCKING FUCKWIT!'', Sheryl began her tirade against Francis.
''I'll talk to you later, Shazza's yelling at me and will do so for a while. Cheers, mate.'', he ended the call as he was yelled at by Sheryl.
A BRAND NEW SPANKING DEAL
That wraps up chapter 8, hope you enjoyed this dialogue heavy chapter.
By the way, Travis' humour will be a little bit toned down, but it is a testing ground for Jacques, whom will have a very similar sense of humour. I will also develop the other characters, and I hope it all turns out well. The piece of dialogue Sheryl says when she mentioned Hunter's incident during sex ed. Class is similar to a line in Housos, which is the source of inspiration for the smugglers, and especially Sheryl/Shazza.
At the end of every chapter of this story, I will include a quote from a System Of A Down song. This one is from 'B.Y.O.B'. Next chapter will be out soon.
Until next time, goodbye.
