Kaito was in his room after he had just woken up. He groaned a painful, sharp sound he had ached from working construction. He went to the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror though it wasn't what most people thought he labeled himself as useless. He stared into his blue eyes they were dead yet forever living his attire wasn't too great his clothes worn and loose. He looked at himself, not missing a single detail, his brown hair and semi-dark skin just an outfit for what was inside. He grabbed his vest beautifully and threw it on getting ready for work there was a quick knock at the door it was surprising sense he never got many visitors. he grabs the handle and looks through the peephole there wasn't anyone outside he decided to open the door a salamander letter stood alone on the welcome mat that now said 'wecome' due to the letter covering the L the sunrise mixed with the color of the letter was beautiful he brung it inside not opening it yet he flipped the note in his hand looking at the front words in a fancy cursive handwriting, read. To: Kaito and Sayori from: Monika… How did she know they were living together? It was no secret that Kaito and Sayori were dating though they never explicitly stated that they were sharing a home nor that it was her house he shook his head in confusion and decided to get Sayori up. After the ascent up the stairs he rapped on the door making sure she wasn't like getting dressed after he opened the door slowly seeing Sayori rolled up in her blanket a small mew admitting from her..He sat down on the bed the springs creaked loudly but it wasn't enough to wake her up. he gently strokes her hair "mmm, hey." Sayori awoke "we have a letter from Monika" Kaito says with what could have been a scoff or a laugh. "Monika!" Sayori said excited Kaito gave a quick laugh and handed her the letter dramatically.. She held it in front of her and slowly tore off the top a red note with a heart on the bottom appeared it was a job offering. "20 dollars an hour!" Sayori squealed "it will be a perfect first job" she finished with a smile"yeah, but I already have a job." Kaito says "then don't go, I'm a big girl" she still smiling Kaito gives a laugh "I don't trust monika and you alone though" Kaito says with an edge in his voice Sayori immediately knows why. "That was forever ago, you don't need to worry so much" Sayori tries to soothe him "well we should get going, anyway" she says quickly
