I said goodbye to my brothers Rye and Challah and Mum but we really didn't have much to say and I just got another punch from my mother, which to be honest it was kind of upsetting. But the next person was a surprise. A girl whom I fell in love with from the very first time I heard her voice since five-years-old. "Hey," she said, blushing and smiling, "Hey Katniss" I replied "I got something for you." and she held up a dandelion.
I remember since last year I find dandelions everywhere, not knowing where they came from or who are they from until I caught Katniss putting a dandelion on my desk in school but I pretend I did not see her, but secretly I've never been so happy.
She said "I'm going to miss you both so much, but you are strong, I've seen you wrestle in school but could I ask you a favour and protect Prim as well? I know it's a lot to ask but-" before I let her continue I couldn't help but kiss her lips for about five seconds, when I'm done I saw her was red as a tomato. Then to my surprise, she kissed my lips too, but this time it was longer. I couldn't help but blush too. Then I said in pride "I will protect Prim"
Then Katniss hugged and kissed me again. She said "But good luck to you too and please come back." she started crying lightly, I hugged her for comfort and she whispered to my ear. "I love you" and the peacekeeper came in and said our time was up.
I stood there blankly, still blushing and repeating the kiss in my head which got interrupted by another person, I jumped. "Hey son," my son said in a soothing voice and came closer for a hug. "Look son, you are smart and I bet you can outsmart anyone in the arena so think hard and please come back." for the first time, I've seen my dad cry, I hugged him for comfort "it's okay, I'll try," I whispered to his ear. Though I know I won't, why? Cause I'm going to protect Prim at all cost.
