If you like kids this is a job for you but if you love kids this is a job is going to be hard. I had never ever wanted this awful job if I knew what this was. As a teen till now, I hated to watch the hunger games, it's so depressing and I don't get how that is a source of entertainment! President Snow forced me to do this awful job, or else my brother Edgar Trinket and I will have a hard time in the Capitol. So I had to take the job.
While I'm waiting for the children, I puffed up my pink hair. Haymitch who is still drunk and not knowing what's happening, stood there blankly. Then Haymitch yelled, "Ahh is there no more wine?" I jumped then I rolled my eyes and ignored him. Then both the tributes for districts 12 came out in dead silence, I had to be professional but I couldn't help feeling bad for darling Primrose whose only twelve years old and I picked her only name in the bowl. I wish I could just go back.
"Well then dear, let hop on to the train shall we?" I said breaking the silence but they just replied with a nod and got on the train. Every year it's heartbreaking to see my tributes to go through this awful games and that no one survived since Haymitch. Poor children, I really hope the same fate won't happen this year.
Though they weren't saying anything, I can tell that they are amazed by the train. And as we sat down on the table to eat. The kids stared at their food, Prim asked "What's this?" she pointed at the lamb stew."That's a lamb stew dear, try it." Prim nodded and tried it, as she tasted it, her eyes widened then it turned into a sad face. "What's the matter, dear?" I asked "Is it too salty?" she shook her head "It tastes good, I just wish Katniss was here to try this." and that broke my heart, I really wish I hadn't picked her name.
Meanwhile, Peeta was amazed by the food, especially the bread. His eyes glowed in amazement of how delicious the food is. "Tis is a gjood breed, Iff nebberr twiid tis bepore." Peeta mumbled as if he is saying "This is good bread, I've never tried this before." I laughed. But then it got interrupted by Haymitch vomiting.
"Did you guys started lunch without me?" he said in a confused way, I rolled my eyes and the children giggled. As he sat down, the first thing Peeta asked was, "Sooo any advice?" Haymitch did not respond, he just sat on the chair and starting drinking again, all I know he has been a very smart person who used the forcefield against the opponent, but that is what killed his family and his loved one.
Still, he didn't respond, I can tell Peeta is mad and oh my he literally smashed Haymitch's cup, Prim was terrified but she couldn't do anything. To my surprise though when Haymitch went to get the knife, my dear Prim threw the knife in the wall! That's when Haymitch woke up a bit, "Finally some tough kids I see, as long as you don't interfere with my drinking" they both nodded.
