RWBY is owned by Rooster Teeth

Random grimm attacks in Vale weren't new since the fall of Beacon. Unfortunately, the attacks had been on the rise lately. Luckily, team RWBY had returned to the city several weeks earlier. They were currently battling a large number of grimm in a small square in the town. The grim were quickly losing the battle with the huntresses. With the last few grimm retreating Yang, Blake, Weiss and Ruby stood in the center of the square. Yang retracted Ember Celica back into a bracelet on her left arm as the gun disappeared into her robotic right arm.

"That was fun" she said smiling.

Blake slid a newly repaired Gambol Shroud back into its sheath on her back as she said "yeah, fun."

Weiss returned Myrtenaster to her side with a sigh as she said "at least nobody needs medical attention this time."

"At least we have a doctor on duty now" Yang said smiling at Ruby.

She put Crescent Rose on her back with a blush as she said "I just took medical classes to learn how to fix you guys up, I'm not an actual doctor."

"Fine" Yang said as she walked over and tousled Ruby's hair "you're the team medic."

"Somebody should hunt down the remaining grimm" Weiss said.

"Great idea partner!" Ruby said "let's go get 'em!"

She took Crescent Rose back off of her back and transformed it back into a scythe.

Weiss sighed and said "fine. Yang, Blake you two go eat and head back to the house incase there's another call."

"Right" Yang said "we've got our scrolls if you need us."

"It's just a few beowolves" Ruby said "and some are wounded."

"We'll call you if we need help" Weiss said as she and Ruby walked off after the grimm.

"Where do you want to eat?" Blake asked.

"I know a good place" Yang said as they walked out of the square. Blake followed as Yang walked away. They ended up in front of a small restaurant with 'Johnny's' written in neon above the door.

Blake's ears drooped slightly as she said "maybe we should go to another place."

"Nah, you'll love this place" Yang said "they have great hot wings and the beer is always cold aaaaaaand they have a mean fish sandwich." She finished with a wink.

Blake sighed quietly.

"Worried about autograph hogs again?" Yang asked.

In truth, being the first professional huntsmen/huntress team to arrive and set up back in Vale brought a lot of attention and praise. Not to mention the tales of team RWBY's exploits preceded them. Blake didn't like the attention and wasn't big on autographs, until a small girl came to her one day. She smiled as she thought back to that day. The girl was no older than six. She had a paper mâché Gambol Shroud and a headband with cat ears. She was fighting imaginary grimm when Blake and Yang strolled up on her. The girl's eyes widened and she squealed with delight. She ran over and jumped up and down excitedly in front of them.

"Y…you're Blake Belladonna! You're my favorite member of team RWBY! You're awesome! Can I have your autograph please?! Please?! Please?!"

A smile crept across Blake's face as she said "sure."

Blake began searching her pockets for a pen. Yang pulled a silver permanent marker out of the pocket of her black jeans.

"Oh thanks" Blake said. She turned back to the girl and asked "do you want me to sign your Gambol Shroud?"

The girl nodded earnestly and held out her pretend weapon.

"What's your name?" Blake asked.

"Jenny!" The girl said excitedly.

Blake smiled and spoke out loud as she wrote "to Jenny, my biggest fan. With love Blake Belladonna."

She handed the paper mâché weapon back to the girl. She thanked Blake over and over before running off.

"Blake!" Yang's voice brought her back to the present. "Are you ok Blakey?" Yang asked "you zoned out for a minute."

"I'm fine" Blake said "let's go eat."

Yang nodded and opened the door and said "you'll love this place."

Unbeknownst to Yang, Blake had been here once before.

As they walked in, Yang tapped Blake's shoulder and said "order me a beer, ok? I'm gonna go wash up real quick."

She walked away towards the bathroom as Blake tried to stop her. Blake sighed as she walked towards the bar, almost wishing she had her bow.

She reached the bar and said "hey! I need a beer, a tea, a dozen extra spicy hot wings and a fish sandwich."

"Sure" the bartender said "you got it."

He turned around and stared at Blake's ears.

"On second thought, you don't got it faunus! Beat it!"

"Excuse me?" Blake asked.

"I've told you before, faunus are NOT welcome here!" The bartender said "now beat it, before the boys make you leave."

Two large men walked up behind her. Blake saw one step on each side of her in her peripheral vision. The man on the left grabbed her arm. Suddenly, a hand grabbed the back of the man's head on her left by his hair and his face was slammed into the bar. The man on the right turned in time to get a left hook to the face. Blake turned to see Yang, her normally violet eyes were crimson red. She grabbed the bartender by the collar with her robotic arm and yanked him towards her, halfway across the bar.

"Is there a reason you were about to throw her out?" Yang asked with anger in her voice.

The bartender just stared into her red eyes.

"Miss Xiao Long!" Came a voice from behind them "always nice to see you! Now, why did you knock out my security and why are you choking my bartender?"

Yang shoved him back across the bar, turned around and said "I'll tell you why, Johnny. This bum was about to throw my friend out for no reason."

"The ears" Johnny said "we don't serve faunus in here."

"You know who she is?" Yang asked.

"Should I care?" Johnny asked as he rolled his eyes "she's a no good, dirty fau-"

Yang grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and picked him up and said "it's vital to your wellbeing that you don't finish that sentence. Now then, this is Blake Belladonna. She's a key member in team RWBY and my partner in a fight." Yang finally put him down and said "how good would it be for your business if team RWBY publicly spoke out against this place? Hmm? If we came out and told them how disrespectful your place treats Vale's defenders, how much business would you lose?"

"Enough Yang" Blake said calmly as she put a hand on Yang's shoulder "we don't have to eat here. We can go somewhere else."

"Let 'em stay!" someone called.

"Team RWBY rules!" another person yelled.

"Their meal is on my tab" another yelled.

"If Blake goes, we all go!" Another voice yelled.

The entire place began cheering.

Johnny straightened his shirt and said "someone get them a table. Their meal is on the house."

Yang walked over to a table with Blake in tow. They sat down and a waiter came over a few minutes later with everything Blake had ordered.

While they ate, Yang looked up and said "sorry about that. If I knew I never would have suggested this place."

"It's fine" Blake said "thanks for…opening their eyes to equality." Blake finished with an uncharacteristic giggle.

"Happy to do it" Yang said with wing sauce all over her face.

Once they finished eating, they left and headed to what Ruby called 'RWBY HQ' Otherwise known as the Vale Schnee vacation house. Weiss had gotten her Father's permission to set up operations there, complete with a training room and communications room. Once they reached the manor, Yang unlocked the door with her scroll and walked in followed by Blake. Yang undid the collar of her jacket and slid the jacket off, then opened a hall closet and hung it up. Yang stretched, left in her orange tank top, skintight black jeans and knee high brown boots. Blake took her white trench coat off and hung it up next to Yang's. Blake stood in her black top, black pants and thigh high black boots. Yang closed the door and started to walk into the house. She stopped and looked at her feet. She bent down, unzipped her boots and kicked them off.

"Much better" Yang said as she walked into the house in her orange socks.

"You're supposed to put your boots IN the closet!" Blake called.

"What kind of day would it be if we didn't hear Weiss yell and complain about something?!" Was Yang's reply.

Blake sighed and shook her head. She considered tossing Yang's boots in the closet, but decided it would be fun to hear Weiss freak out. Blake opened the closet door, unbuckled her boots, tugged them off and tossed them inside before closing the door and walking inside to find Yang. An hour or so later, Blake and Yang were sitting on a couch in the living room. Blake was reading while Yang was playing a game on her scroll.

They heard the door open followed by a familiar voice yelling "YANG! BOOTS GO IN THE CLOSET OR YOUR ROOM! NOT IN THE HALL!"

Yang and Blake simply smiled at each other.

"Did you guys have any trouble with the last of the grimm?!" Yang called as she stood up.

A red blur came flying into the living room.

Ruby skidded to a halt and said "Yang, duck."

Yang heard footsteps and looked at the door just in time to see Weiss walk in and throw her own boots at her head. Yang ducked under one, then caught the other.

She turned to find the other boot and saw Blake leaning off the couch. Still reading and holding her book in her right hand while her left arm was outstretched, holding Yang's other boot.

"Told ya" she said without looking up.

Yang grabbed her boot from Blake and walked upstairs.

"Team meeting after dinner!" Ruby called as Yang walked away.

"It's my turn to cook, isn't it?" Blake asked as she put a bookmark in her book and closed it.

"Technically yes" Weiss said "but I'm cooking this time. Yang made tuna last night and I'm not eating fish two days in a row."

She spun around and walked out.

"Do we have time to look at Gambol Shroud before dinner?" Blake asked "you did a great job of fixing it but I think there's a crack appearing on the welding."

"Sure" Ruby said as she walked towards her basement workshop with Blake.
