Golden light shone through the trees leaving

little speckles of sunlight on the forest floor.

Sonic was disappointed that he couldn't stop

and look at the scenery; it was quite beautiful.

But Sonic was a bit to busy running away.

Although he couldn't quite tell what he was

running from he thought it might be one of

Eggmans bots again. He couldn't quite tell

but he was still determined to out-run them.

Either way he started to speed up, but as he sped up he noticed they were speeding up even faster than he could handle. He was panting at this point. At this

rate he could never out run them...

The lynx sped up faster and faster; she was

trying to keep up with the blue hedgehog

and she was now realizing he was starting

to slack a little, so she kept up the pace for

a while longer. The hedgehog

suddenly stopped and whipped around.

"Alright you tin- you're not a bot are you?"

"Of course not you idiot!" the Lynx retorted.

"I'm just looking for some help from a

friend of a friend."

Sonic was taken aback. "Have we met

before? I don't think I've ever seen you

before. What's your name?" The Lynx

replied, "The name's Zayla and if it's

not obvious I'm a lynx." The hedgehog

then continued, "My name's Sonic!

nice to meet you!" Sonic held out his hand for her to shake, but before she could even move

a muscle the city went up in flames.

"Hurry!" Zayla cried, "We need to evacuate

everyone!" Before Sonic could say a word

she grabbed his hand and pulled him

towards the burning city, and then ran

off to go help a little rabbit.

(Half an hour earlier.)

Cream the rabbit was outside playing. She decided to pick some tulips for

her mother Vanilla. But when she went inside she noticed her mother wasn't in

the living room like she last saw her.

The little rabbit decided to look around

the house a bit more, but surely enough

her mother was not there. Cream assumed

that she just went to run some errands and

she would be back soon. 20 minutes

passed and still no Vanilla. Cream started to worry. "What should we do, Cheese?

Mother has been gone for longer than

usual, and she never said she was leaving." "Chao, chao!"

Cheese agreed. "Maybe we should go look

for her? Let's walk around the block and see

if we can find her anywhere." So Cream and

Cheese went looking for Vanilla, but when

they decided to head back for a drink

they saw the whole house suddenly go down in flames.

As she was running over to the rabbit panting,

she noticed that she had no parents around.

"Where are your parents?" she asked while walking up to her.

"Im n-not sure miss." The little rabbit

was clearly in shock about how suddenly

all the houses just started burning out of

nowhere. Zayla walked closer and got on her

knee.

"Your going to be just fine." Zayla comforted.

She smiled at the small rabbit and then asked,

"What's your name?" "My name is Cream, and this is Cheese!" "Chao chao!" Cheese announced,

although he was obviously terrified as well. "Those are really pretty names. My name is Zayla

but you can call me Zay if you would like."

She smiled at the rabbit.

"Alright Miss Zay!" Cream replied.

Vanilla let out a long sigh.

She was climbing a large rocky mountain; it had

little spots of green grass here and there,

but over-all pretty bare.

It was a very sunny day and not many clouds in

the sky, but for some strange reason she couldn'tbhelp thinking that it was going to storm soon. She just brushed away the thought. "Of course

it's not going to storm, its no nice out. I can't think

of what bad things might happen in the future; I

have to live now."

She just felt horrible for leaving her daughter

without telling her anything about where

she was going- or that she was leaving at all.

"Nightfall came and passed like lightning, yet no

one has told me where my mother went."

Cream pondered. "I'm starting to think maybe no

one even knows where she is...

Oh I hope she's alright- wherever she is."

Zay was taking Cream to a bomb shelter, and then she

saw a lovely meadow full of bright red flowers.

They were so beautiful, and the meadow seemed

to go on forever, just fading into the sunrise.

And then Cream decided, "I'll go pick some and

make a beautiful bouquet for miss Zay!"

Cream wandered off the path and into the field, not noticing that Zayla and Cheese were getting farther and farther down the trail, leaving her behind. She picked some of the beautiful red flowers, and when she had finished the bouquet she turned around and noticed Zayla and Cheese were gone. "Oh no..." She murmured, starting to panic. Then she remembered what her mom had told her once: "Cream, if you ever get lost just stay put and wait for somone to come along and find you, alright?"

Clearly her friends went straight down the path and probably not that far ahead, but Cream was determined to do what her mother taught her.

Zayla was totally spaced off, she kept tripping on the smallest of pebbles. So I, Cheese, took the lead! Even though I don't know where we are going, she is going too slow. I know we are looking for a bunker and I know what that looks like, from all those war documentaries that Vanilla watches...

But Zayla will obviously miss it even if we do pass by one!

Then Zayla (finally) noticed "Cream is gone!

C'mon Cheese we have to go back and find her."

Cream started getting anxious when she finally

saw Zayla come back to get her she was thrilled!

"Miss Zay! I'm so glad you came back I'm so sorry I wandered off without telling you I just wanted to pick some flowers for you I'm so so sorry!" Cream kept going on about how sorry she was and how bad she felt that she didn't know better. "Cream." Zayla interrupted "Its fine; I don't blame you you were trying to do something nice and that's so kind of you. Now let's keep going just in case something else suddenly explodes again. And I need to get some more people out of the city so let's go." Zayla smiled as she grabbed the little rabbit's hand. They walked down a rocky path; full of weeds and trash. Compared to the lovely trees and flowers they recently passed this was not much to 'ah' at.

Sonic just finished helping out an elderly mouse collect what was left of their belongings and then lead a group of mobians down to the bomb shelter the shelter was nicer than one would expect; it had nice hotel like rooms with snacks out in the lobby FREE snacks out in the lobby so of course Sonic had to get his hands on some (who wouldn't?) "I deserve this I've been working hard all day" right before he could take a bite of one of the protein bars he heard a loud booming sound coming from the direction of the

Neighboring city he ran towards it as fast as possible wene he got there... it was 10 times worse there were mobians running around screaming trying to find there children and some were lying on the ground unmoving the whole city burning before his eyes Sonic was horrified at the scene he was witnessing.
