The Capitol was unlike anything you've seen before, all those buildings were so extravagant and all there are lots of colourful gardens. I was mesmerised by their beauty, why don't we get this? This just seems unfair, why don't we get this?
I can see in the reflection of Haymitch and Prim staring at me as if I was mad. But I didn't care, if I die I wanna die knowing everything, and it's not too late to still have firsts.
In just a few minutes, we arrived. I saw people wearing huge colourful clothes and big hats and bows like Effie, waving at me excitingly. I waved back, though I know that through these people, some of them are really excited to see me killed. As the train opens the door and welcomes me, I looked around the surroundings of the train, this is possibly the last time I'll be on a train, then I was ready to go. "Come on" I said to Prim who didn't seem very excited.
We ended in separate ways, going to our preparations. My prep team rushed into me like I some like a doll to dress up with. They brushed my hair and used something furry to brush on my cheeks! "There you go, you finally look like a man!" one of them laughed "Let's get your stylist in. Portia!" another one yelled. Burst into the door was a woman with puffy hair like Effie, "Alright, leave me with Peeta now." and the rest if the prep team rushed outside.
"You're new aren't you? I've never seen you before." I said Portia nodded and examined me like I was some kind of serious test she is about to take. "You're quite a man aren't ya? Well, Cinna, Prim's stylist and I made something perfect for the opening ceremony." and Portia winked. "But I just got a question for you, you're not afraid of fire aren't you?"
Every year the hunger games costume for district 12 is straight-up pathetic, they never attract the audience. Because our costumes are based on our districts like district 4 is fishing and district 3 is technology. District 12 is coal mining which you can't really do anything about that most of the costumes are just coaling mining uniforms and one year they had to dress naked and get covered with coal dust. I hoping that's not gonna happen this year. My thought of being naked totally got thrown out when I saw Portia showing me actual clothes. "Hey Peeta, you are going to be wearing this, fire will come out in the middle of the ceremony but don't worry it would be perfectly safe." Dearest god. I've never been so glad not going naked, I was so relieved that I wasn't even thinking about being on fire. Just to think of it is Katniss gonna watch the opening ceremony?
